exactly how to start this.

But I knew after I found this footage,

I had to share it with everyone.

In some type of effort to
try and better understand

what happened in my life.

Someone very close to me did something

that still leaves me
and my family horrified.

I found this footage in returned items

after the police had completed
their initial investigation.

From there, I decided that I would try

to piece together in some
form of sequence of events.

What you're about to
see is compiled footage

of the events that happened as it leads up

on the night in question.

You see, no one knows exactly why,

even how, it could happen.

I will never understand why they chose

to go into a place that
was known to be haunted.

The Lafitte Plantation
in Vacherie, Lousiana

is a place you don't play with.

They knew better.

asking people what they know
about the Lafitte Plantation.

that it's still haunted

I don't believe in none of that ghosts

and spirits, anything like that.

- My mother told us stories
about that place, growing up,

and the hair stands up on my arms

when we talk about that place.

- I've heard things.

Actually, I've heard a lot of things.

- Okay,
would you mind explaining

or going into detail?

When it was a bed and
breakfast, I know that a lot

of people reported seeing
in one of the bedrooms

that children would jump
and down on the bed,

or pull the toes of
whoever was in the bed.

- I used to be a maid there, a nanny,

whatever you want to call it,

and I used to take care
of the family there.

But they didn't stay very
long, they moved out.

- Well, why, what happened?

- Like, stuff started to move
around, stuff was missing.

I'd be dusting around and
there was pennies all over

the place like somebody had threw

it there in different rooms.

Even if people weren't there,

they just would appear.

Lady floating around, no feet.

Horses trotting outside,
you go look out the window,

there's nothing there.

- There are ghostly spirits walking,

roaming the property.

You have family members of the plantation,

Lafitte Plantation, who
owned the home, died there

and their spirits, their
ghost spirits are walking

around in the property.

Especially, this one lady
who appears out the window

all the time, she's
wearing this white dress,

a really young lady.

- Um, Confederate
soldiers were k*lled there

and it's reported that they
still haunt the grounds.

I know that there was a thief

that was k*lled on the 11th step

and when people go up
and down the staircase,

sometimes, they're tripped
for no apparent reason.

- Really?

- And, in the dining room, there's a woman

that is dressed in white
and she goes back and forth

across the dining room.

- A woman in white?

- Yes.

- Do you know who she is?

- I think she was one
of the original owners

or related to the original owners.

- But I know, I think there
was a painting that hung

above the fireplace or mantle, of her.
