It has been pretty thrilling

to merge Hazbin Hotel

and Broadway.

for the first time for a live audience

is so exciting,

I couldn't even sleep last night

because we sing them in the booth.

We sing them alone.

We don't get to hear the band with us

and feel our other cast mates with us.

The fact that we get to, like,

actually be together...

like, literally Amir and I

were walking in crying today.

[laughs] It's, like,

such a beautiful experience.

She doesn't know I'm here.

I can't wait for the fans to get in here

because I know they're just gonna

like freak the f*ck out.

I know that a lot of them flew

like 14 hours

from other countries, from Hawaii.

So, I just wanted to say hi

Generally speaking, this is a show

that doesn't have casual fans.

When you like Hazbin Hotel,

you love Hazbin Hotel.

It's a testament to their passion

that they are just here,

lined up around the block

to make it here for this special night.

It's my first Broadway experience,

and I am just so excited

to see how it goes.

This is my first trip to New York City

in general,

so it's a big milestone there, too.

Well, I have never felt

more of a community

when it comes to, uh, shows or events

than I have being here

and experiencing this.

I think, like, what makes me

so excited about this

versus some of the things

that have happened at cons is

I feel like at cons,

they're spur-of-the-moment,

they're short, they're casual.

Um, this is a production.

It's like, on stage.

It's these actors in their element

and like doing

what they're so f*cking good at.

And I think that's what's also exciting

about doing this now.

This is after so much of the build,

and them seeing the fans and them learning

and knowing these characters.

So, it's like the perfect time.

[Jeremy] It's so great to, like,

be unhindered with this character

because I always have lots of weird ideas

and thoughts going through my head.

And I can sort of unfilter them all

and put them through Lucifer,

and he can be allowed

to say those things.

[laughs]

Viv, when you started creating

these characters and these stories,

did you ever imagine that it would

look something like this one day?

I just... looking at you guys,

you're all dressed as these characters

that I've been drawing,

you know, for so long.

And, oh, I went the whole day without

anything like this...

I never imagined, um,

that it would resonate this much.

I mean, obviously I hoped it would.

Um, I love these characters.

I feel like I've...

my greatest passion is telling stories

and making characters.

And I've been doing it for so long,

and I just...

you know, this was one, I'd had

some of these characters for so long,

and I was just like, I'm gonna do this,

you know,

and you know, I cannot believe

how much it's grown.

And how much love you have for...

And so far, it's only been one season,

but I can't wait for you guys

to see the second.

It's incredible, and I'm very proud of it,

and...

We definitely hope

that you keep telling stories,

keep creating these worlds

because I think I speak for all of us

when I say, the reason

this world is so special to us

is that everybody here

feels like they belong.

And you have seen people,

and you have let them feel like they can

wave their freak flag

high up in the sky.

And you have given us

a whole heck of a lot of hope.

This is my Broadway debut.

And I kind of manifested this

'cause I knew when I got involved

with the Hellaverse,

I knew that this would make it

to Broadway in some form one day.

And I was right.

The show would not be what it is

without our fandom.

So, to be able to meet them

in the last couple years

and have them here, in cosplay,

watching us sing these songs live

for the first time

is truly mind-blowing to me.

[Stephanie] Hazbin Hotel fans

are so passionate about the show,

they're passionate

about the storylines and the characters.

I'm a huge fan.

I absolutely adore the show.

My favorite song is "Loser Baby."

I just want everyone to sing it.
