I see, like, the acetate shine
and some small air bubbles,

so it's giving me
tempered-chocolate vibes.

[Timmy] So the ones
in front are a little wider,

and they look like they have something,
like, in the crease where it closes.

[Mikey] All right, let's find out.

-[Mikey] That is cake!

So, you ready to find out
who found the most cakes the fastest?

But first, I said
there were three cakes in this room,

and you found two.

Any idea where that third one could be?

Well, looks like we're gonna be here

We're fighting. Preparing to win again.

I know. What are we gonna do?

I have so many ideas, but I think
the best one is my family loves toys.

That's so cute!

-[Henderson] So I wanna make a toy box.
-[Grace] That's fun.

And some toys on top of the box.

Mm! I love how you have so many elements.

I'm thinking of this water pump
that my parents had growing up

because it makes me think
of all the hard times

that they went through in life, you know?

So it's really nostalgic for me.

-[Caitlin] It's gonna be awesome.
-[Timmy] It's over two feet tall.

-Okay, large and in charge. Let's do it.
-Yes.

Gosh, this is so exciting!

We are gonna be making a sculpted peacock.

I'm super excited.

The peacock has
so many different organic textures,

and a lot of them have to be done by hand.

I know it's, like, really ambitious,
but also it's the last challenge.

-I feel like it'll be a fun challenge.
-I'm so excited.

[Jujhar] I'm so excited.

{\an8}When my parents grew up
in the village in India,

{\an8}their house was right beside
where peacocks used to live,

{\an8}and my sister and I, we would collect
the feathers of the peacock,

and it just brings back so many memories.

It's a lotta details
with the colors and the feathers.

Yeah, a lotta details.

The peacock has feathers,
it has different scales,

and all of them are in different sizes
and different colors,

so I have a lot of work to do
on this cake.

You're the spice grinder,
person in charge.

Yes. The Spice Girl?

-You're the Spice Girl.
-[both laugh]

It's more important than ever
to impress the judges,

so I've decided to make three cakes.

Each flavor I'm doing today
represents someone in my family.

My parents are obsessed with tea,

so I'm doing a cardamom-chai spice cake

with a orange-masala-chai simple syrup,

and I'm doing
a pistachio-feuilletine crunch.

I'm just making my chai cake
right over here.

My siblings, they love coffee,

and so I'm doing a vanilla-bean cake
with an espresso syrup.

So many spices in here.

And the third flavor is inspired
by myself. I love fruity flavors.

So I'm doing a strawberry-fennel sponge
with strawberry compote.

I'm so happy. We're doing a good job.

It's really important for me to honor
my family in this final challenge,

and I just want them to be really proud.

Batter number one is done.

Hey, Timmy! Tell me
about the water-well significance.

So my parents, like,
grew up as next-door neighbors.

They met when they were seven years old.

They would hand pump
water out of the well.

They now have it
as a fountain at their house.

-Aww.
-Oh my gosh.

{\an8}When I see this water pump,
I think about my parents growing up,

pumping the water out of a well.

I think about how hard they worked
to make a great life for my brother and I.

Who they raised me to be
made me to be a great father.

I would do anything for my son
because my parents did anything for me.

When I decided to open a bakery...

[voice breaking]
...they moved to a new state,

changed their lives...

[sentimental music]

...to help out.

It just means so much
to know you have a support system

that would do anything for you,

and, like, I'm able to have a business,
and I'm able to be here today

because of all the sacrifices
they made to put me here.

And so making this pump honors them
and, like, their journey

and their hard work that they did for me.

-Your parents sound like fun. [laughs]
-Yeah, they are.

They are one of a kind, for sure.

This is definitely gonna be the hardest
cake I've done in this competition.

It's got wood elements.
It has metal elements.

Because this is the finale,
I have no room for error.

The brown butter is everything.

Oh my God. That's so good. [chuckles]

[Timmy] My mom would always make
a Funfetti cake.

So I'm gonna do a brown-butter
chocolate-chip-cookie-dough filling

with chocolate ganache
and some candied potato chips.

It's gonna be like
the perfect late-night snack.

-That sounds amazing.
-That does.

-[Caitlin] Perfect!
-[Timmy] Cakes are in the oven.

[energetic music playing]

Oh my God. So many eggs.

-I know. We have a lot of cakes, huh?
-What are you making today?

I wanna make a box of toys.

[Jujhar] Oh!

[Henderson]
Yeah, I want something funny, colorful.

My daughter collects toys. I collect toys.

That represents my family. We love toys.

What kind of toys will be in your toy box?

I love the vintage toys and wooden toys

and also a plush for my daughter
because she loves plush.

[Julie] Aww. So cute.

It's gonna be hard
having to make a lot of toys.

To fill the inside of the box up,
that's a lot.

Yeah, I'm a little worried,

-but I have the best assistant ever, so...
-Whoo!

{\an8}I moved from Venezuela
to the United States

for better opportunities for my family.

I work really hard.
I learned to speak English.

I have my own business.

And if I win the $50,000,

the first thing I'm gonna do is
a down payment for my first house.

That's gonna mean a lot for me.

Henderson, tell me
what flavor you're making.

So I'm making two cakes.

One of these mixing my favorite flavor
with my wife's favorite flavor.

Coconut cake and milk chocolate.

The other one, my daughter's favorite.

Vanilla rainbow cake with dulce de leche.

Yum.

[Henderson] They can fit side by side?

-[Grace] Yeah.
-[Henderson] Perfect.

-[Timmy] So heavy.

It's slowly getting there.

I have to make sure
that my structure is perfect,

so I'm using modeling chocolate
to sculpt my entire cake.

So much to do.

This cake needs
a lot of modeling chocolate

because there's so many sculpted details.

There's over 50 feathers just on the back.
Each and every feather's hand sculpted.

I'm also using a few clay tools
and sugar tools

to help accentuate
the details on the bird's body,

and just making something
really organic and natural.

Oh my God, this is a literal sculpture.

I feel like the peacock really represents

my growth and transformation
in this entire competition.

I've gotten to do so many things
I thought I was incapable of doing,

and now I want to prove it to myself,
my family, that I really can do it.

-It's coming together. Thank you.
-We got this.

How are you feeling to be in the finale?

You had quite the journey
on this, uh, competition.

It's... It's been a wild ride, right?

It's kind of cool to reflect back
and see that it's been this gradual climb.

At first, I didn't fool the judges.

Each time that I've been in the kitchen,
I've done better,

to where I finally fooled the judges
with my log cake.

And then now,
I've won one with my spyglass.

I have learned
a few things about textures,

and so I'm feeling really great
about this wood texture today.

Two down, 18 to go.
Feeling pretty good about that, actually.

On the outside of the bucket,
I'm creating slats of wood

using modeling chocolate
with a wood-texture mat,

so when I paint it, I can pull out
those shadows and add highlights.

It's gonna create
the right texture for the wood.

Being a small-business owner,

it would truly be life changing
to walk away with $50,000.

I can't even begin to imagine how much
it would change myself and my family.

-[Jujhar] How's it looking, sir?
-[Timmy] Pretty good.

Yeah, I love it.

{\an8}Six hours, bakers.
You have six hours left.

-[Jujhar] Panels are looking good?
-Yeah.

[Jujhar] Nice.

For the sides of my box, I need
something straight and perfectly square,

so I used tempered chocolate
for make it more stronger.

-I feel like you with your lantern.
-[Jujhar] It's hard, right?

[Henderson] Literally sweating.

I never used that before. I learned
from Jujhar when he worked on the lantern,

and I used the same technique,
but with bigger scale.

-Help me to hold.
-Mm-hmm.

The box is done, but I need to cover it.

I need to work on the toys.
We have a lot of things to do.

Timmy, how are you?

I'm doing okay. What about you?
Where you at? What do you have left?

Uh, I have, like, a lotta painting to do.
It's kinda wild.

If you look really, really carefully
at all the decoys,

there's gold, there's multiple shades
of green and different blues.

The whole cake is gonna be hand painted,

so I'm trying to replicate all my colors.

Color matching in a hurry is a lot harder.

I love making custom colors.
I love color matching.

I use edible paint, and I mix a variety
of colors to make my unique shades.

-[Kristen] It's looking amazing.
-Team Canada.

-Team Canada.
-[Jujhar] Canada is proud.

-[Raina] That's pretty amazing.
-The coloring is so cool.

-Wow, Timmy. It looks really nice.

After the bucket's finished,
I need to make the hand pump.

To make this is gonna be the hardest part

because this entire cake
is gonna be hand sculpted.

To top that off, we have a water pump
that looks like cast iron,

so we gotta do all of that texture

and create the handles
and the small screws and bolts.

I think I'm just gonna get
the right shade of royal and paint it.

To add the metal texture,
we're using red royal icing

and just painting it on with a paintbrush

so that it looks like cast iron

and it really mimics
that red fountain that my parents had.

-That's a good way to go.
-Just letting you know...

{\an8}-[in bad English accent] Cake 15 live.

-[Mikey] Wow! I love that reaction.

{\an8}[Henderson] So many toys everywhere.

I make a toy cake before.

It was a Pinocchio one,
but it took me, like, two days.

And now I have four hours left
to make a toy box, three toys.

I know this is really ambitious,
but it's the finale, and it's $50,000,

so I wanna prove that I'm the best.

For the xylophones, I make the body
with rice cereal and cover with fondant.

Grace is helping me to work on the tiles
of the xylophone with modeling chocolate.

Hard work. We need
to make the colors match one by one.

[Grace] Ooh! It looks so good!

[Henderson]
I enjoy doing the stacking rings.

I use fondant and match different colors
for make it look like the real one.

I compare it side by side,
the different ring,

for making sure they have the same size,
and start to stack it one by one.

All this competition from the beginning
to now, it was a big journey for me.

I learned to be more confident.

It was hard,
but I'm so proud about what I do.

Look at that! So pretty, right?

[Grace] I really, really love
all these colors.

It's so cute!

{\an8}Three hours, bakers.

-[Raina laughs]

That's beautiful.

I'm good at this.

I'm gonna get my colors
so I can start painting.

Now we've built the bucket and the pump
and we have all the details on the pump,

I can hand paint this cake.

I'm doing that
by adding a really dark color to it first.

This is gonna look a little crazy.
I'm gonna go really dark.

And once I have that dark color on,
I can then wipe it all away.

That way it exposes
all of those wood-grain textures

that I put into the bucket.

I love this part
'cause you get to make it look really bad,

and then you go back in and you fix it.

That looks so fun, Henderson.

The colors are so fun.

-What's the dino's name?
-Grayson.

Grayson! Grayson the dino.

For my dinosaur cake,
I wanna make different-colored layers.

Make it look childlike.

When my cake is done,
I cover all the dinosaur with fondant.

Definitely the most difficult part
of this dinosaur

is the velvet texture.

It's really, really hard to replicate.

I use powdered dust with different tones
in green, brown, and black

for make it look like velvet.

-Do you think it looks like velvet?
-Ooh, yeah. You need a lot more, though.

{\an8}-One hour. One hour remains.
-[timer beeping]

-I still have to paint every feather.
-[Kristen] Every feather.

I still have a lot of detail work,
and when I look at my bird carefully,

part of the wing
and the feathers at the back

has a little bit of metallic gold color.

I'm gonna do a bit of luster.

This is color number one to highlight.

I really want to make sure I capture all
of these different lights and highlights

because that's what's gonna make
my cake look realistic.

I could have 50,000
at the end of the day. Like, what?

That could really help my business grow.

I wanna expand my bakery.

I wanna open
multiple storefront locations.

I need to win. [chuckles]

It's all the nitty-gritty details.

{\an8}Thirty minutes left. Thirty minutes remain
in the final bake of the season.

Whoo!

I'm worried about them.
Do they get toys done?

-[Julie] I'm so nervous for them!
-Aah!

You wanna do the big side?

I'm really worried
because it's just 30 minutes left,

and we still have to put
all my toys together.

-Wanna start to work on the letters?
-[Grace] Yeah.

Last minutes, we are really crazy.

We cross arms
from working from every single side.

We have a lot of things to do,

and I wanna make sure I have
everything ready on time and perfect.

{\an8}Ten minutes.
Ten minutes remaining, bakers.

-Ten minutes, guys!
-[Mikey] You got this. I believe in you!

Paint those two staples.
I'm gonna look at decoys.

I'm panicking,
but the devil's really in the details,

because there's
all these different elements

that if you don't have them,
it's gonna be a dead giveaway.

-Paint these silver.
-Yeah.

Be really careful with this one.

Not only is red really hard to replicate,
but so is edible metallics.

So to get these bolts
to really look like chrome,

we're adding on
some highlighter edible dust.

Oh, it looks so good.

The chances that I could win
feel really strong,

and so that's just giving me
that extra drive

in these last few minutes.

My parents are gonna love it.
It's really gonna make them proud.

{\an8}Bakers, one minute left...

The texture of this water pump up close
is even more impressive than from there.

Yeah, the wood looks incredible.
Look at that. The details of the wood.

[Taran] This has my favorite texture
of the three cakes.

I love the crunch of the potato chips
and the saltiness.

-The detail of the visual is impressive.
-Yes!

[Taran] And the flavor's delicious.

Let's move on to Jujhar's cake.

-Wow.
-[Chris] Wow. That is incredible.

[Ego] The feathers on this thing
are unreal.

Not just an outline of feathers.

This is each feather
etched as though it's a real feather.

The feet, too, are crazy.
Like, amazing crazy. Like real claws.

So every time a man calls me crazy,
he means it in a good way?

-Yeah, yes.
-Amazing.

This guy did three flavors.

The fennel strawberry that we both liked.
It's so unique. It's so original.

Of the three cakes,
this had my favorite flavors.

-Yeah, that's what I felt.
-Yeah.

lastly, we have Henderson's cake.

[Ego] How ambitious is Henderson
to make every single piece

-that his daughter likes of toys?
-Yeah.

[Taran] The detail of the xylophone
is amazing.

-Again, all chocolate.
-That's incredible.

Henderson having this,
what is it, a tri-cep-tator-ous-res?

Whoa, you know dinosaurs?

[laughter]

The frill on this dinosaur,

pointing in different directions
like a stuffed animal.

-[Chris] Like the horn.
-I just, like... I can't.

-It looks like it's been stitched.
-[Ego] The stitching! Are you kidding?

And then to cut it open
and there's freaking sprinkles inside?

[Taran] So fun.

I will say, I don't know if, flavor-wise,
this is my favorite one.

I just... I'm deeply impressed by this cake.

So you've tasted all the cakes.
You've looked at all the cakes up close.

-You have a $50,000 decision to make.
-[judges exhale]

[Mikey] Please take a moment
and decide the Is It Cake? champion.

-We gotta talk. Okay.
-Yes.

[Chris] The effort that was put
into that toy box is ridiculous.

I do think the craftsmanship
is remarkable.

But in terms of wood finishings,
I think the bucket takes the wood cake.

[Chris] This was the one
that stumped me the most.

I can go like this,
and still, it looks like wood.

We were all really stumped
on the peacock, though.

The feathers. I can't get over
the feathers and the work on them.

I didn't notice the feathers
until I was here.

-The details on the feathers.
-The neck and the shaping of that object.

It is very complex.

I think Jujhar's peacock
is the most impressive flavor-wise

because it's three different flavors.

-Yeah.
-[Ego] Okay.

But I think that the triceratops
and the toy box

is the most impressive visual up close.
