04x06 - A Tour of Odd Squad/Club 37

Post by bunniefuu »

[Orli] My name is Agent Orli, and this is my partner Agent Ozzie.

This is a dog barking up the wrong tree.

Back to us.

We work for an organization run by kids

that investigates anything strange, weird,

and especially odd.

Our job is to put things right again.

[tense suspenseful music]

[air whooshing]

[bubbles popping]

[bell chiming]

[all] Ah!

Whoo!

[air whooshing]

News time.

[tense suspenseful music continues]

[bell chiming]

[magic poofing]

[monster growling]

[party blowers honking]

[Orli] We are "Odd Squad."

[tense suspenseful music ending]

[Captain O] "A Tour of Odd Squad."

[page flipping]

Thanks for coming, Odd Squad.

What seems to be the problem, sir?

Well, it's easier if I show you.

[bell clanging]

Oyez!

[bell clanging continues]

Ah, I think your bell needs resetting.

[pensive ascending music]

[reset machine whirring]

Try it now.

[bell clanging]

Thank you, Odd Squad.

-Try it now. -Sorry?

-Try it now. -I think Ozzie needs setting.

-[Ozzie] Try it now. -Allow me.

[reset machine whirring]

-Phew, thanks Orli. -No problem.

-I was stuck in a bit of a-- -No problem.

-Orli? -No problem.

I'll take Orli back to HQ for a full reset.

No problem, no problem-

-Oyez! -No problem.

[logo whooshing]

Oh, what's going on here?

When I was in the Department of Help, part of my job

was giving Odd Squad super fans a tour of HQ.

That explains the random group of adults

I just walked past.

And this year, Opie's doing it.

I sure am!

The main thing to remember,

give your tour group a big smile.

Maybe a little less big.

[Orli] Let's move.

Good luck, Opie, you've got this.

Yeah, I promise I'll make you proud, Ozzie.

-Hello, super fans! -[horn honking]

-Welcome to-- -Opie, hi.

Sorry to interrupt your tour, but can I have a word?

Is everything okay?

Everything is absolutely fine.

Walk with me.

Everything is not absolutely fine.

-But-- -Don't panic, keep smiling.

I just found out that one of the visitors

is actually a villain pretending to be a super fan.

We have to call the tour off.

But, I promised Ozzie I'd do a great tour.

We're talkin' about the safety of Headquarters.

But, wouldn't it be better

to find out which one is the villain so we can catch them?

That's an annoyingly good point

that I wish I'd thought of.

Okay, do the tour.

Just avoid takin' them anywhere of interest

or telling them anything interesting.

I am so lookin' forward to this.

My cousin did a tour with Ozzie last year,

and he said it was the best day of his life.

[logo whooshing]

[horn honking]

New plan.

We need to figure out

which one of the people on the tour is actually a villain.

Okay, earlier today, I recorded two villains

talking to one another at the cinema.

[static crackling]

Ah!

Oh, ooh! [laughing]

Ooh!

Ah!

Okay, what's with all the screamin'?

Oh, they were watching a very scary movie.

The point is,

we know the villain is wearing an Odd Squad scarf.

Right, let's make a chart.

Watch.

[buttons clicking]

We've got all of the people

that checked in for the tour today.

And we know the villain is wearing an Odd Squad scarf.

So that means we can cross off anybody

that isn't wearin' one.

[Okrah] Two adults not in scarfs,

so they can't be the villain.

Exactly, which is why we've crossed them out with "X."

That leaves us with one, two, three, four,

five, six, seven, eight who might be the villain

'cause they are wearing scarfs.

How do we get this info to Opie?

Hmm.

I have an idea.

[logo whooshing]

[chair creaking]

Ta-da, an Odd Squad swivel chair.

It swivels this way around and that way.

It is very swivelly, dear.

[horn honking]

Opie, hi.

I have stickers!

Stickers for the two of you.

Can't we give them all a sticker?

Excuse me.

I gave a sticker to everyone we know is not the villain.

Ooh. [laughing]

So can I start the tour now?

No, it's too risky.

But that's not fair!

Nine of these people aren't villains

and they deserve a good tour.

Okay, but keep them away from anything dangerous.

Well, if it isn't Opie's first official tour.

Anybody fancy zapping some gadgets?

[Agent Opie gasping]

Whoo-hoo!

[pencil tumbling]

[logo whooshing]

Welcome to the lab.

Ozzie always brings a tour here to play with gadgets.

Who wants to get zappy?

I definitely do.

Wait, please excuse us for a moment.

[gentle pensive music]

[Opie] I just found out

anyone in this tour group who isn't wearing a sticker

could be a villain.

What?

Are we gettin' our hands on these gadgets or not?

Gadgets--

[all] Gadgets, gadgets, gadgets!

[Opie] We can't give a villain a gadget!

Don't worry, I have an idea.

[logo whooshing]

A Dynochlorinator for you, and one Blobcorinator for you,

and you get a,

uh, Carrotinator!

Hang on, this is just a carrot. It doesn't do anything.

Pfft, of course it does.

[peeler slicing]

-Huh, see? -Wow, so cool, guys.

-Exactly. -I hate to say it,

but this tour isn't as much fun as I thought it would be.

We're just getting started!

Lots more fun to come.

[logo whooshing]

You still have eight super fans who might be the villain.

We need more info.

Okrah, what have you got?

A salt fish patty.

I meant what kind of information do you have

about the villain?

Oh, absolutely none.

But, Take-Away Trudy does.

[air whooshing]

Hi, I'm the one who delivered the salt fish patty.

What can you tell me, Trudy?

Someone added a banana fritter earlier,

and they said it better not have butterscotch in it.

Banana fritters don't have butterscotch in them anyway.

Trudy, did they say anything about the tour?

Yes.

They needed the banana fritter quickly

because they were about to sneak onto a Odd Squad tour.

[gasping] And they also said

they needed to put on their glasses

so they could read the menu.

This is great.

Look, we now know that the villain is wearing glasses.

Three people are not wearing glasses,

so they can't be the villain.

[Okrah] That still leaves five possible suspects

that could be the villain.

You need to tell Opie!

On it.

[tense suspenseful music]

[air whooshing]

Take a look at this amazing door.

Open, close,

open, close, open!

It's just a door.

A freshly painted door.

[horn honking]

[Orwell] Hi, hello.

Just back with a few more stickers.

One for you, one for you,

and one for you! [laughing]

Orwell, can I speak to you?

Of course, I love speaking.

[footsteps padding]

What's going on?

The villain ordered take-away earlier.

Ooh, what was it?

A banana fritter

with absolutely positively no butterscotch.

But that's not important; what is important

is that we've narrowed down the list of possible villains

to five.

This tour is nothing like the brochure.

We've not had any of Agent Osgood's delicious food,

and we've not been anywhere exciting.

Like the Odd Squad power room?

-I would love to see that. -Yes. [laughing]

If the villain gets into the power room,

they'll shut down the power to the entire building,

which will allow even more villains to break in.

-[gasping] -Worst of all, it'll be dark.

[gasping] Wait, why is that a problem?

I'm scared of the dark.

Fair enough.

Wear this ear piece.

This way, I can relay info to you as soon as we get it.

Any questions?

Yes, do you have this in green?

It's my favorite color.

Will yellow do?

-It sure will. -[device pinging]

Hang on, it's Agent Okrah.

[static crackling]

[Okrah] The villain is a terrible singer.

The villain is a terrible singer.

Anyone who is a good singer can't be the villain,

so give them these stickers.

I have an idea that will help.

♪ Hey, hey

[group cheering]

Orwell, I found one person with a good singing voice,

Megan in the blue beret.

-[air whooshing] -[Orwell] Great job.

We've also learned that the villain is a terrible dancer.

[Opie] Calvin is a really great dancer.

[air whooshing]

Great work, Opie.

Here's some more info.

Apparently, the villain has a very quiet laugh.

I have an idea!

[air whooshing]

[upbeat playful music]

[pies squishing]

[tour group laughing]

Sammy has a really loud laugh! He can't be the villain.

That just leaves two super fans as suspects,

Ethel and Bertie.

We need more information.

Opie, we still don't know who the villain is.

You have to stop the tour.

But, we're almost at the power room.

What? No!

Get away from there!

This is my first tour,

and I promised I'd make Ozzie proud.

Opie, listen to me.

Don't worry, I have an idea.

-Opie? -[static crackling]

-[Opie] It's okay. -Opie?

-Bye! -Opie?

I need to get to the power room now!

Finally, the moment you've all been waiting for,

-the power room! -Oh!

But before we go in, a treat from our chef, Agent Osgood.

You're gonna love it.

Coming through.

-[horn honking] -[wheels rolling]

Opie, what are you doing?

You told me earlier the villain doesn't like butterscotch,

so I had Osgood make a pot of--

Butterscotch soup?

-[all] Mmm! -[Bertie cringing]

[stammering] Butterscotch!

Bertie is the villain!

[tour group gasping]

You've led me right to the power room.

Ugh, prepare for defeat, Odd Squad.

[footsteps running]

[door slamming]

But that's not the power room; that's the storm room.

Yup, but only an Odd Squad super fan

would know that, Ethel, not a villain like Bertie.

[wind whipping]

It looks like your villainous plans are a blowout, Bertie.

Nice work, Opie.

[logo whooshing]

Thanks for the tour, Opie!
