What's a tour guide?

Uncle Steve: A tour guide is someone

who shows you around a place,

and tells you interesting things about it.

[gasp] Javi, look!

Pink...cupcakes!

Javi: [gasp] That means it's...

Rosie/Javi: Cupcake Day at the bakery!

Uncle Steve: Cupcake Day? Rosie: Yeah!

On Cupcake Day, Baker Calvin makes his super special,

Cotton Candy, Jelly Bean Surprise cupcakes!

Javi: The frosting tastes like cotton candy,

there are jelly beans on top,

and there's a surprise in the middle!

Uncle Steve: [intrigued] Oooh, what's the surprise?

Javi: [mysteriously] No one knows.

But it's always delicious.

Uncle Steve: Well, I've got to try one now!

Buuuuut I'm not sure where the bakery is.

Rosie: That's okay, 'cause we're Tour Guides Rosie and Javi!

Javi: Yeah! We'll take you to the bakery.

Rosie: Follow us!

Uncle Steve: [fast] Who's excited for Cotton Candy

Jelly Bean Surprise cupcakes, I AM!

[giggles]

Rosie: Here we are!

The deeyummiest bakery in the whole town!

Javi: Ta-daaaaaaaa!

Uncle Steve: [confused] Uhh... Are those...doggy toys?

Rosie: Huh?

it's probably not a bakery.

we're probably just in the wrong place.

[to self] [gasps] But how will we find the way there?

[speaks] How can we find the bakery?

[gasps] That's it!

We can smell our way to the bakery!

Javi: ¡Buena idea, prima!

[sniff-sniff]

Hmmm.. [sniffs]

[gasp] I smell something sweet.

Maybe it's the cupcakes!

Rosie: See? It's working already!

[sniff-sniff]

Javi: Aaaah. Rosie: [sniffs]

Uncle Steve: [sniff-sniff]

The smell's getting sweeter!

[sniffs] I think it's right over...

[sniffs] There!

Rosie: [gasps] ¡¿Florecitas? !

The flowers do smell sweet.

But they're not deeyummy cupcakes.

[sniffs] [gasp] I smell something else!

Uncle Steve: Ooh, florecita selfie!

[click, click]

Ooh!

Rosie/Javi: [sniffs] Javi: Oh yeah!

[sniffs] It smells like soap... and bubbles...

Uncle Steve: I think we found the smell.

It's soapy-smelling laundry!

Rosie/Javi: [sniffs] Javi: Fresh and clean!

But not cupcakes.

Uncle Steve: [sniffs] Ooh... Now I smell something!

But if it's the cupcakes, I'm not sure I want one.

Rosie/Javi: Ooooh The garbage truck!

Uncle Steve: Oooh, garbage truck selfie!

[chuckle] [camera click]

[garbage truck rumbles]

Rosie: [sighs] That was a lot of smells!

But none of them were the bakery.

Javi: What if we don't find it? Then we won't get

the Cotton Candy Jelly Bean Surprise cupcakes!

Rosie/Javi: [gasp] We need to call Abuela.

[video call ringing]

[off screen] ¡Hola, Abuela!

Abuela: Oh. ¡Hola, mis niños!

Rosie: [gasp] ¡Abuela!

You're at la Torre Latinoamericana!

Abuela: You're right! My friend Graciela

is visiting from out of town,

so I'm showing her all the things we can see from up here!

Rosie: [off screen] I see Bellas Artes!

Javi: [off screen] I see La Alameda Central!

Abuela: [with a laugh] ¡Sí! When you're high up,

you can see lots of places,

even places that are far away!

Rosie: See lots of places?

[gasp] I have an idea!

Gotta go, Abuela!

Rosie/Javi: ¡Ciao bacalao!

Rosie: Uncle Steve! We need to go somewhere up high.

Then we see lots of places... like the bakery!

Uncle Steve: That's a great idea Rosie!

But where you can go up high?

Rosie: [chuckles]

Uncle Steve: Oh, [chuckles] me!

Blastoff!!

Whoooosh... Rosie: I'm way up high!

The bakery? Rosie: Oh. Right.

you forget to look for the bakery!

Uncle Steve: [grunts]

to find the bakery!

It looks like the bakery

My phone ran out of batteries!

We walked, we sniffed,

we looked from up high...

Now I'm ready to figure this out!

[Sigh] I really wanted to be

a good tour guide and find the bakery.

You kids were the best tour guides ever!

The pet store, the flowers...

Rosie: The laundry... the garbage truck...

Javi: And the tallest tree in town!

Uncle Steve: Hey, I've heard about this tree.

It's a landmark!

Rosie: What's a landmark?

Uncle Steve: Landmarks are places you recognize

in your town, like buildings, or statues...

...or tall trees!

Landmarks can even help you find your way someplace else.

Rosie: They can? How?

Uncle Steve: Well, when we're at this tree,

now I know we're near the park.

The tree is a landmark.

Rosie: Ohhh!

[gasp] Maybe we know a landmark

close to the bakery!

[sings] ♪ Of all the places in my town that I know, ♪

♪ There is a special one near

♪ the place I want to go. ♪

♪ Mom's bookstore is what I always see, ♪

♪ When I'm on my way to the bakery! ♪

I know a landmark near the bakery.

Mom's bookstore!

Uncle Steve: That's amazing, Rosie!

Uhm.. do you happen to know how to get to the bookstore?

Javi: I do!

[off screen] I remember walking to the bookstore

after mailing something at the post office!

Uncle Steve: So then the post office is a landmark too!

Rosie: And the post office is near the park!

Which is right there!

Javi: Yeah! Let's follow the landmarks to the bakery!

Rosie/Javi: [giggles]

That means we're near...

And that means, we're near...

Rosie: The Bookstore!

We found Mom's bookstore!

So we should be near the bakery...

Javi: [sniffs] I smell cupcakes!

Rosie: [long sniff]

Me too!

Uncle Steve: [sniffs]

Rosie: [sniff][gasp] It's...

Rosie/Javi: [giggle]

All: The bakery!!!

Uncle Steve: You see?

The landmarks helped us find it!

Rosie: [shouts] Thank you, landmarks!

Javi: So goooooood. Rosie: Dee-yummy!

This is the best cupcake I've ever had!

And I never would have tasted it

the Easter eggs right now.

And then we get to run around and find them!

Gatita: Meow! Rosie: Hmmm.

I wonder where the Easter eggs will be?

Mom: Presenting...

Mom: Here's how it works.

There are twelve Easter eggs hidden around the backyard.

When you find them, you'll put them in

this carton.

When the carton is full,

that means you've found all the eggs!

Uncle Steve: And that means you'll get a special Easter--

Surprise! [fading echo] surprise... surprise...

Rosie/Javi: [giggle]

Mom: Oh! And I almost forgot to tell you...

we have a brand new

egg hunter this year!

Ha ha!

Rosie: [gasps] Rosie/Javi: Iggy!

We found lots of eggs!
