Alma: Sooo Junior's hypothesis is that the penny will sink '‘cause it's heavy.
Emi: And mine is that it will float '‘cause it's metal like a boat.
Papi: Oh, interesting.
So, let's test your hypotheses.

Alma: Okay, here we go.
Beto/Alma/Junior: Junior: Yeah, it sunk! Cool! Woo-hoo!

Junior: Just like I thought.

Emi: Roar! Can Tulip the T-Rex have a hamburger, por favor?
Junior: Teri the Triceratops wants one too, please!

So Teri doesn't eat hamburgers.
Junior: Yeah, she does. She eats meat.
Just like Tulip.
Emi: Mmm, I think triceratops ate plants.
Junior: And I think they ate meat.
Alma: Sounds like you each have...

Junior: Papi, can you look up the answer on your phone?

Alma: What'd you find?
Junior: So, we know that a t-rex was a meat eater, right?
Alma: Right! Beto: Uh-huh...
Junior: Well, I saw that a t-rex had hands with sharp claws.
So maybe they used their claws for catching meat?
Alma: Maybe... Beto: Could be.
Junior: So, if a triceratops had sharp claws too, then it was a meat eater.
Show Emi this and see if a triceratops had claws on its feet.
Alma: We're on it!
Junior: Wait!
Let me show you more evidence!
A t-rex had big sharp teeth. Like this!
[Snarls]
Papi: Sharp teeth are good for eating meat.
Beto: So you think a triceratops would've had the same kind of teeth?

Emi: Well, my Papi read a sign to me
that said triceratops had lots and lots of small teeth.
So they could mash and mush their food, like this!

Alma/Beto: [Giggle]
Emi: Please give my evidence to Junior.

Emi: A triceratops had horns.
So maaaaybe those were used for catching meat.

The Almasaurus and Betosaurus Rex are headed your way.

So, we think Teri the triceratops is a plant eater!
Beto: And if she only eats plants then she wouldn't eat a hamburger.

Junior: Awww...

Junior: Um, excuse me. I have another hypothesis.

Junior: T-rexes are big, but they had teeny, tiny arms.
I think my whole body is bigger than a t-rex's arm.
Alma/Beto: [Announcer voice] Let's fiiind oouutt!

Emi: Junior, you're bigger than its arm!

I think the horn of a triceratops is the same size as a walrus's tusk.

Mr. Martinez: It says that a walrus tusk is around inches.
So like this long.
Papi: And a triceratops horn is about this long.
Hmm.
Beto: So a triceratops horn is longer than a walrus's tusk.
Alma: Uh huh!
Emi: Hey! I have a new hypothesis.
Papi told me that all adult walruses have tusks.
So I think all adult elephants have tusks too.
Everyone:[Announcer voice] Let's! Find! Oouutt!
Beto: It doesn't say anything about their tusks.
So how are we gonna figure this out?
Mr. Martinez: Maybe we can ask someone who knows.
Alma: Excuse me! Can we ask you a question?
Museum Guide: I'd love that!
Emi: Do all adult elephants have tusks?
Museum Guide: That's a great question! If you're asking about African elephants, like these...
Then, most adult elephants grow tusks.
Kids: Wow! Cool! Interesting!
Alma: Thank you!
Museum Guide: Sure, of course!
[Junior's tummy grumbles]
Junior: My tummy's grumbling.
Emi: Ya, my mouth is dry.
Beto: Same and same.
Alma: Hmmm... I have a hypothesis!
