Yeah!

ZADIE: "The Big Loud Storm."

[wind blowing]

I'm coming to you live from the Treeborhood,

where a ginormous thunderstorm is moving in.

The forecast calls for lots of rain and wind.

MALIK: Any chance no talking will be in the forecast?

[sighs]

Hey, I have a big story to tell,

and the news will not be silenced.

So be prepared for lots of indoor play

along with loud, booming thunder!

And tons of rain.

[whimpering]

[knocks]

Hey, Zeke, want to be interviewed for my news report?

No, thanks.

I just want to hide out somewhere quiet

until the big, loud storm is over.

Do you need anything in there?

Can you turn on the light?

It's dark and quiet in here.

Snout likes quiet but does not like the dark.

Are you ready for the storm?

We are, but Zeke is kind of freaked out.

He's in the closet.

[door opens]

Zeke, the news says the storm will be loud but not dangerous.

[knock at door]

Oh, that's Ellie.

You okay, little squish?

I'm okay.

[kisses]

Every time there's a big storm,

Ellie and I build an epic house of cards.

Woo-hoo! Funsies.

You heard Grandma Super, Zeke.

This storm can't hurt you.

ZEKE: It so can, too.

It can scare me.

I'm just gonna stay in this closet

so I don't have to hear it.

Uh, Zeke?

If you can hear Malik and me

with the closet door closed,

you're gonna be able to hear the loud thunder.

Snout wishes we could create something

so we can't hear the storm at all.

[gasps]

We could build a rocket ship

and fly to another planet

and hang out there until the storm is over.

[sighs]

That doesn't sound exactly doable, Zadie.

Fine, Mr. Logical Pants.

Maybe we could just soundproof the closet?

Yeah, we can create a way for sound not to get in there.

Great idea. But how? With what?

This calls for

thinking positions!

Hmm, we need something that will muffle

the sound of the thunder, so Zeke can't hear it.

Right-- any ideas, Zadie?

Zadie? Huh?

Oh, sorry.

I couldn't hear you

'cause my head was under my pillow.

Pillows! That's it!

We can use pillows to muffle the thunder.

This just in: The Wombats are going

to put pillows up against the door to soundproof the closet.

Let's test it out.

Plop.

We need something that we can use

to stick the pillow on the door

so it won't fall down.

How about Super's Super-Sticky Tape?

I'll get it.

Our traditional stormy-weather house of cards

is looking great.

This is way more fun than waiting out the storm alone.

Super, where's your super-sticky tape and can we use it?

In the junk drawer,

yes, you can use it,

and thanks for asking first.

Whoa, whoa, whoa! [yelps]

[exclaims]

[groans]

That should improve it.

Let's test it out

and see if the pillows muffle thunder.

To do that, we need something to create a thunder sound.

[gasps]: I know.

Super, can we use something from the kitchen

to make a thunder sound?

Sure thing, buttercup.

Help yourself.

[whistling]

[clangs loudly]

Sounds like thunder to me.

Careful, Super.

I did it.

[laughs]

Ah, no!

Let's start over.

I'm ready to test out our pillow soundproofing.

Close the closet door, and I'll create the thunder.

[clangs loudly]

ZEKE: Snout can still hear that, and he doesn't like it.

I had to cover my ears to really muffle the thunder.

We need to improve our design.

Hmm.

Instead of covering the door,

we could use something that covers Zeke's ears.

So what if we added a layer of soundproofing over Zeke's ears?

Like earmuffs?

That's a great idea, Zadie.

We can create storm-muffling earmuffs for Zeke.

Here's what the earmuffs could look like.

Two muffs that go over each of Zeke's ears,

and then some sort of band on the top

to hold the muffs in place.

I think I know what we can use

for the band to hold the muffs in place.

I'll go get it.

Super, can we use some of your stretchy headbands?

Sure thing-- help yourself.

No, no, no, no, no, no, no.

[sighs] [sighs]

[sneezes]

[groans]

Bless you.

This just in: The Wombats will use one

of Super's stretchy headbands to hold the muffs in place.

But what will the Wombats use for the muffs?

Stay tuned to find out what they will create.

Let's try these crumpled-up paper ba*ls.

Okay, let's test it out.

[clangs loudly]

I could still hear the thunder.

And these paper ba*ls are too scratchy on my ears.

Okay.

Hmm, we need to improve our earmuffs.

Yeah, we need something softer,

so it doesn't bother Zeke's ears,

and thicker than paper, so it muffles the sound.

The softest thick thing I can think of

are our new bath towels.

And they're thicker than paper, too.

Great idea, Zeke.

Let's test it out.

[grunting]

Aw, I tripped on the towel.

It's too long.

Okay, we need to improve our earmuffs

by using something that's soft and thick,

but shorter than the towels.

How about our new outdoor pillows?

Those aren't as long as the towels.

I'll go get them.

Grandma Super, can we use the new outdoor pillows?

Help yourself, little elf.

Thanks.

[wind blowing]

We'd better hurry.

It looks like it's gonna rain any second.

ELLIE: Ah! Looks fantastic, Super.

[Ellie whimpering]

[sighs] [chuckles]

Our barricade did the trick.

We worked it out.

Ah...

[both yelp softly]

[sighs]

This just in: The clouds outside are really dark.

The Wombats better hurry up

with those storm-muffling earmuffs.

The thunder could start any second.

ZADIE: The pillows are soft and thick and not too long,

but will they muffle the sound?

If we want to find out...

We've got to test it out.

[clangs loudly]

Did you hear that,Zeke?

Zeke!

[door opens and closes]

[loudly]: Aren't you gonna make a thunder sound?

We did.

[clangs loudly] See?

ALL: We worked it out.

I didn't hear the thunder one bit

'cause the earmuffs were soft and thick and not too long.

Hey, since we have these other headbands,

how about we create storm-muffling earmuffs

for other friends in the Treeborhood?

Yeah, they might be scared of loud thunder, too.

Let's do it.

[clangs loudly]

[clangs loudly]

[toy squeaks]

[clangs loudly]

Okay, now let's let everyone know

about the storm-muffling earmuffs.

[wind blowing]

[echoing]: Anyone wanting a pair of storm-muffling earmuffs

should hightail it to the Wombats' house right away.

[toys squeaking]

[thunder cracks]

[whimpers]: I got to get in the closet.

[thunder crashes]

Oh, wow!

That's really loud.

It's kinda scary.

Aw, thanks for sharing, Zeke.

Breaking news.

Malik, Zadie, and Zeke successfully created

all kinds of storm-muffling earmuffs to muffle the thunder.

This is your weather reporter, Zadie, signing off.

ZEKE: "Wish Monster."

Whoa!

How did you do that?

They're not even falling.

Did you not know that I'm so good at this?

[sighs]

I'm usually good at this.

Do you want to help?

Not really.

I feel too sad and mad.

I've been waiting for a wish, and it didn't happen.

What kind of wish?

Someone told me that if a leaf lands on you,

then you get to make a wish.

And yesterday, a leaf landed

right on my head, and I made a wish.

[sighs]: But it didn't come true.

That's because you did it wrong.

Leaves don't cause wishes to come true.

Dandelions cause wishes to come true.

Huh?Come on.

I'll show you.

So what you need is a seedy dandelion.

Found one.

If you blow off all the seeds in one breath,

then you get your wish.

Like this.

[inhales deeply]

[blows out]

Usually I do it perfect the first time.

Anyway, that's what you do.

Easy-peasy.

[inhales deeply, blows out]

Not so easy.

I think this dandelion is broken.

But I'll keep trying.

I'd better head home.

See you.

One, two, three...

[inhales deeply, blows out]

I did it!

[shouting]: I did it!

Oh, wait.

I have to make a wish.

I wish for a Ferocious Mask

to go along with my Ferocious Dragon costume.

Whoo!

Oh, hi, Zadie, hi, Malik.

I am going to put on my costume

so I'll be all ready for my mask.

Suppertime, kiddos.

Coming!

What mask?

ZEKE: You'll see.

Wish, wish, wish.

I can't wait for my wish.

[roars]

Thanks, Grandma Super.

[roars]

[in dragon voice]: Pass the peas.

Please?

Ferocious Dragons don't say "please."

Well, in this house, they do.

[in normal voice]: Please pass the peas?

So how come you're wearing a costume, Zeke?

I need to look like a real dragon

'cause I just wished on a dandelion for a dragon mask.

Once I get my dragon mask, I can make friends with a real dragon.

And we'll fly to Dragon Island

and stomp and roar and stomp and roar some more!

[roars]

Are you sure about all that?

So sure-- I know my mask will appear any minute now.

Where are you, mask?

Are you hiding?

Any sign of my mask?

[calling]: Mask, where are you?

I'm sorry you didn't get your mask.

My heart is broken.

Like a burnt piece of toast.

Goodnight, little squishes.

ALL: Goodnight, Grandma Super.

Yesterday I wished on a leaf, but I didn't get my wish.

Today I wished on a dandelion, and still no wish.

I'll never get a Ferocious Dragon mask.

[groans]

[snoring]

[exhales]

[whispering]: I hate when Zeke is sad.

We have to cause his wish to come true.

[whispering]: We could make a dragon mask.

How does this look?

Great-- maybe we could use some pipe cleaners.

Oh, yeah, and we could add some leaves.

[Zadie and Malik giggling]

Why are you staring at me?

No reason.

We're just waiting for you to wake up. [giggles]

Do you feel any different?

Not really.

Just kind of normal.

Hmm...

[gasps]

My wish came true!

Do you see it?

Do you see my mask?

We see it.

I have to show Grandma!

[gasps]: Oh! I have to show Louisa!

Costume! I need my costume!

[elevator dings] [roaring]

Stay up, stay up...

Louisa!

[yelps]

Are you a real dragon?

No, it's just me, Zeke.

I wished for a dragon mask, and it came true.

You were right about the dandelion.

Told you.

I wish I had made a wish.

I'd've wished for these cups to stay up.

Want me to blow on a dandelion for you?

I'm pretty good at it.

That's not how it works.

You have to do it yourself if you want a wish.

Well, let me know if you need any help.

I'm going back for more dandelions.

One, two, three, four, five dandelions.

Okay.

For my next wish, I pick you.

[inhales deeply]

[blows out]

Wowee, first try!

Let's see.

I wish for...

Blueberry pancakes!

We're having blueberry pancakes for lunch

'cause I blew off all the seeds and wished for pancakes.

You know, Zeke, wishes don't always come true.

Uh-uh-uh-- if you wish on a dandelion, they do.

Don't worry, I wished for a lot of pancakes.

Grandma Super?

Yes, kiddos, what is uppity up?

How do you feel about making blueberry pancakes for lunch?

It's Zeke's latest wish.

Sure thing, squish.

Isn't it amazing?

How just blowing on a dandelion causes pancakes to happen!

Well, I'm not sure that's quite how it works.

You see... [gasps]

I almost forgot!

I have more dandelions.

Which means I can cause more wishes to happen.

[inhales deeply]

[blows out, cheers]

This time I want a brand-new bicycle.

With wings.

We've created a wish monster, Grandma Super.

Zeke won't stop.

How are we going to get him a new bike with wings?

I know we don't want to rain on Zeke's parade,

but it might be time to explain cause and effect.

You mean, tell him that wishing on a dandelion

won't cause a bike to appear?

Exact-a-mundo.

I hate to let him down, though.

It's fun to believe in dandelion wishes.

Maybe we cause one more wish to come true, then we stop.

Hey.

I have an idea about the bike.

Howdy, Creation Stationers.

What can I do for you?

We need to make Zeke's bike look brand-new.

And add some wings.

Oh, that's not gonna be hard.

Fresh coat of paint, some streamers...

[gasps]: Cardboard for the wings, yes!

This.

We could use this, too.

Oh! Love it.

We found your new bike, Zeke.

With wings, just like you asked.

[gasps]

It's so beautiful.

The best wish I ever made.

Try it.

Fast, faster, fly!

Fast, faster, fly.

Fly, bike, fly!

[sighs heavily]: How come it won't fly?

Uh, because... [laughs nervously]

ZEKE: I know why.

Because I said I wanted a bike with wings.

And I should have said

I wanted a bike with wings that could fly.

[gasps]: I'm gonna wish for that right now.

Zeke, no.

That's, uh, too many wishes.

[blows out]

I wish for a bike that can fly.

Zadie?

We have to tell him.

We have to.

Ready for a bedtime story, Zeke? Uh-huh.

But mostly, I'm ready for my new flying bike.

So this is a story

about a happy little wombat

who wished on a dandelion for a dragon mask.

But the dandelion was so little...

MALIK: ...it couldn't possibly cause such a big wish to come true.

So the dandelion knocked on Little Wombat's window,

and his brother and sister answered.

ZEKE: What were their names?

Uh... Zalik?

And Madie.

MALIK: So Zalik and Madie decided

that they would cause Little Wombat's wish to come true

by making him a mask.

ZEKE: You mean-- are you saying

I didn't need a dandelion?

You caused my wishes to come true?

Yeppers.Uh-huh.

So you are magic?

No, no, we just made you a mask with our art supplies.

MALIK: And Grandma Super cooked the pancakes.

And Leiko helped us fix up your bike.

Magic didn't cause your wishes to come true.

We did.

So that's why my bike didn't fly.

I'm sorry.

Does that make you sad?

No, it makes me happy.

'Cause you were trying to make me be happy.

Anyone can grant wishes, Zeke.

Not all wishes.

Not a flying bike wish.

But some wishes.

You mean, I could granta wish?

You could.

Do you know someone who has a wish?

It's so tall.

We're almost out of cups.

Last one.

Hold it steady while I put it on.

I want to yell, "Yay, yay, yay,"

but I'm afraid I'll blow it down.

You do have very loud yays.

Let's go outside.

Yay, yay, yay! Woo-hoo!

You're better than a dandelion, Zeke!

You helped my wish come true.

The cups all stayed up.

I'm better than a leaf or a dandelion.

Just call me

Wish Monster. [roars]

You can't be a Ferocious Dragon and a Wish Monster.

I can be anything I want,

including just plain Zeke.

Well, I like you all the ways,

but plain Zeke is the way I like you most.
