I don't know what that is. But I do like cake.

Guess you don't remember because you were too little last year.

Every year, Mr. E makes lots of really fancy cakes

for everyone in the Treeborhood to enjoy.

I put all the cakes behind that curtain

so they're a big surprise for everyone!

And every year, Mr. E makes a special-deluxe cake

to honor one special-deluxe neighbor.

Who's the special-deluxe neighbor this year, Mr. E?

You'll have to wait until tonight to find out.

[inhales]: Now then, how can I help you?

ZADIE: We want to know if our new squish ball has come in.

Ah, yes.

But, but, but-- play with it outside,

away from my cakes.

You know, when I was young,

I was quite a squish-baller.

Woo-hoo! [laughs]

I could catch it even at its bounciest.

ALL: Wow!

Look at all those cakes!

[Mr. E loudly clearing throat]

The leg fell off when I bumped the table.

And now I have to hold it up.

My Cake Day cake table has a broken leg!

[alarm ringing]

Ah! And there's the oven timer!

Another cake is done and I'm stuck here.

[sobbing]: Cake Day is ruined!

You can go get your cake, Mr. E.

We'll hold the table for you.

[gasps]: You will?

Sure! It'll be fun.

This actually isn't that fun. [sighs]

We need a better way to hold up this table.

I have an idea! I'll be right back.

We can use these boxes to hold up the table.

Looks like there's room for one more.

This one's a little big.

But maybe I can squeeze it in there...

Careful! The cakes!

Hm, it's going to be hard to find boxes that fit exactly.

until they're tall enough to hold the table up.

but next to my beautiful cakes,

these boxes and magazines look... so messy.

Another cake is done!

[door opens, bell rings] LEIKO:Hello?

And now a customer's in the store!

I heard my boxes of knitting needles

and plastic spools are ready for pick-up.

Oh, and I think I'll need some help carrying them

I've never seen anything like that before-- what does it do?

Well, a D printer prints objects

that you think up with your imagination.

Come up and take a closer look at this necklace I made.

The D printer made those beads?

Well, I had to design them on the computer first.

To make a bead, I first chose a shape,

and then I made it just how I wanted it.

Then, I printed the shape

with a special kind of plastic

that went through here and came out

layer by layer until it formed a bead.

And then I added it to my necklace.

Whoa! What a cool necklace maker.

It doesn't just make necklaces.

The D printer can make almost anything you imagine.

MALIK and ZADIE: Wow! You two should make something.

I'll set it up for you.

I'll be over there knitting if you have any questions at all.

[gasps]:We should use the D printer

to make a new leg for Mr. E's cake table!

Great idea, but we have to design it first, right?

ZADIE: Let's see, does the leg kind of look like this?

Yes! That's it!

Make it longer...

a little longer...

...perfect! Print it!

This will totally solve Mr. E's problem.

[D printer whirring]

Zeke! You can't be the table leg.

You're supposed to help customers.

Oh, but now I have to get back to the kitchen!

Since I don't have to be a table leg anymore, can I help you?

Good thing we made a new table leg,

this stuff doesn't look very stable.

Let's test it out!

Yikes! It doesn't match the other legs.

It's a totally different shape.

Those legs are smooth and this leg has edges.

Oh well, at least it will hold the table up.

[grunts]

Not only is the shape wrong, it's too long.

[grunts]: Maybe if I force it...

Ah, Zadie!

[whistling]

And here's another cake from Mr.-- eeeyah!

[panicking]

The new leg needs to be round on all sides, like this...

Good, now, we also have to make it shorter.

A little bit shorter, a little more.

Okay, that looks perfect. Print it!

We're trying to make a table leg...

...To replace this broken one.

But we keep making it the wrong size.

Ah, well, I had to make the beads

for my necklaces two times before I got the right size.

I should have used exact measurements the first time.

All right, hold on.

Okay, you can use this tape measure

to measure the length you need.

The leg is inches long.

So we tell the D printer we want the length

to be: inches long.

There, now it'll be exactly the right size.

Print it!

[gasps]: Oh, an exact fit!

Right size-- it's perfect!

to see the spectacular Rainbow Waterfall and Mount Eruptus!

A real volcano spouting red lava.

And the part of the vacation I was looking forward to the most:

seeing Snowy Peak Mountain.

Aunt Beatrice said we can think about going next year.

First, we have to make the Moo Moo Choo Choo.

We can do that at the Creation Station.

And I can be the conductor.

And I'll be the tour guide.

What do I get to be?

Hm, on vacation! On vacation!

Yippee! [giggles]

Hiya, makers! What are we making today?

Hm, well, help yourself to any materials you need.

Let's see what the Moo Moo Choo Choo looks like.

BUCKLEY: The first train car kind of looks like a rectangle.

The second car kind of looks like a square shape.

And the third car is kind of like a long rectangle.

Let's look for cardboard boxes to make the train cars.

We can use this box for the tall rectangle.

ZADIE: Yep, it looks like the shape of the first car

of the Moo Moo Choo Choo.

This box is a square, so it can be the second car.

And here's a long rectangle.

We can use this for the third car.

[cutting cardboard]

We worked it out!

BUCKLEY: The train wheels are big circles.

[gasps]

These paper plates are circles.

ALL: Yes!

[train whistle blows] We made a train!

Let's test it out!

[shouting]: All aboard!

With things we found in the Creation Station...

BUCKLEY: We made a train for a Treeborhood vacation!

Before we can reach our first destination,

the Rainbow Waterfall,

we need to be on the lookout for something

we can use to make the Rainbow Waterfall.

We need water for the waterfall and a rainbow for the rainbow.

[playing guitar]

Hm...

[gasps]: Stop the train!

Let me see what the Rainbow Waterfall looks like.

We can use this sprinkler for the waterfall.

But the water from this sprinkler goes up, up, up.

Waterfall water falls down, down, down.

If we turn the sprinkler upside down,

then the water would go down, down, down.

We could, um, put the sprinkler

up on the roof of the shed-- Kat, Kit!

Can we put the sprinkler up on the shed

to make a pretend Rainbow Waterfall?

Oh, for sure! We love pretend waterfalls.

[faucet squeaking]

[faucet squeaking]

Whoa!

And now it's a waterfall.

But what about the rainbow?

KAT: Did somebody say rainbow?

[breathing quickly]

Oh, it's a juggling vegetable, Rainbow Waterfall!

ZEKE: Al aboard!

We need to find something tall

and in the shape of a cone.

We can find it at the Everything Emporium. Why?

Oh... 'Cause they have everything.

Wait! Could you back up a little bit?

Those cans of spaghetti are in the shape of a cone.

See how it's tall and in the shape of a cone?

[Snout noise]

Snout thinks the cans make a good volcano.

Thanks, Mr. E! [shrieks]

What did I do? You made a volcano.

Hm!

Heh, wouldn't be the first time.

But there's no lava.

Mt. Eruptus has spewing lava.

MR. E: Did someone say lava?

[cheering]: Hoo hoo!

Look out! The volcano's erupting!

[takes picture]

ALL: Thank you, Mr. E.

[chortles] I'm happy to help!

All aboard!

[shrieks]

[cans thudding]

You're welcome!

ZADIE: Mr. E made a volcano...

ZEKE: Out of cans of spaghetti.

BUCKLEY: And it spouted red lava made out of confetti.

Oof.

Hope you love adventure as much as I do.

Because now we're on our way to the Snowy Peak Mountain.

Snowy Peak Mountain is big, and white,

and the top is shaped like a triangle.

Where are we going to find a hill that looks like

that in the Treeborhood?

[gasps] I know a great hill that could be Snowy Peak Mountain.

Maybe the best hill ever-- Rolly Downy Hill, of course!

[reacting]

Rolly Downy Hill is big

and the top is kind of shaped like a triangle.

But it's not white, there's no snow! And it's summer.

It doesn't snow in summer.

[sighs] There's no Snowy Peak Mountain in the Treeborhood.

And there's no way to make one.

We made a train,

a rainbow waterfall, and Mt. Eruptus.

But Snowy Peak Mountain?

I don't think it's possible.

Sure it is, Buckley, we just gotta work it out.

Hm...

[gasps] I know!

We can use our imaginations.

[gasps]

It's snowing! It's snowing!

It's not snowing.

Just use your imagination.
