ARI/OLIVE: Yeah! [giggles] ELINOR: Woo-hoo!

ARI: Oof! Aye! ELINOR: Ah!

ARI: Whoops.

I meant to do that.

KIDS: [giggles]

ELINOR: Come on! To the playset!

OLIVE: Yeah, we don't have much time.

ELINOR: Okay, she's in her spot.

Are the flower decorations ready, Olive?

OLIVE: Uh-huh, and they look so pretty.

ELINOR: She's going to love them. Are you ready, Ari?

ARI: Yes! ... Er...

Ready for what?

ELINOR/OLIVE: [giggles]

ELINOR: Today is Teacher's Day. A day where we all celebrate how amazing teachers are.

ARI: Oh.. Riiiight...

OLIVE: We have a special gift for Mz. Mole. We're going to decorate her desk in flower art.

Flowers are her favorite.

ELINOR: But it needs to be [whispers] a surprise.

ARI: Yes. I remember now... of course...

OLIVE: Great. We have an awesome plan.

ARI: Yeah, [giggles] We're good at plans...

Er.. What's the plan again?

ELINOR/OLIVE: [giggles] Ari!

ARI: Oh, I remember it... I just want to make sure.. Er... you remember it...

ELINOR: [giggles] Here's the plan...

We're going to get past Mz. Mole without her noticing.

ARI: Mhm. Like Super Spies!

ELINOR: Yes. Then we'll decorate her desk in flower art while she's still outside...

And when recess is over...

She'll come back to the classroom and...

ELINOR/OLIVE: Surprise!

ARI: Super Spies!

KIDS: [cheers] Yeah! Let's do it! [giggles]

ELINOR: Okay, all we have to do is walk behind Mz. Mole and into the school.

OLIVE: And remember!

We don't want her to know what we are doing or it will ruin the big surprise.

ARI: Don't worry, this Super Spy has an idea, follow me and act natural.

[sing song] Ba da ba da ba...

[sing song] We're just kids walking around during recess... Da-da-da-da-de-doo...

Er... We're not doing a surprise for Teacher's Day or anything...

MZ. MOLE: What's that Ari?

ARI: Oh no! We've been spotted. Run for it!

OLIVE: Hehe. Lovely day, isn't it, Mz. Mole?

MZ. MOLE: Yup! I love autumn recesses.

ELINOR: We-do-too-bye-Mz. Mole!

ARI: How did Mz. Mole know we were there?

OLIVE: I don't know.

ARI: Maybe she's a robot with eyes in the back of her head.

Beep-boop-beep! [robot voice] I can see ALL!

SIGGY: I love robots.

KIDS: Aaaaahhhhhhhhh!!!!

OLIVE: Oh, hi Siggy. Where'd you come from?

ARI: [breathing heavy] I'm fine. You didn't startle me at all...

KIDS: [giggles]

SIGGY: What you up to?

ELINOR: We're trying to surprise Mz. Mole with a gift for Teacher's Day.

OLIVE: Yeah, our plan is to get by Mz. Mole without her noticing

and decorate her desk in flower art.

It's going to be... [whispers] a surprise!

SIGGY: Whoa! [whispers] So cool!

ARI: Yep, [sigh] we're pretty much Super Spies.

Ahhh!

SIGGY: [giggles] Well, good luck Super Spies!

OLIVE/ELINOR: [giggles]

OLIVE: Thanks Siggy-

... He's gone!?

ARI: Whoa!

ELINOR: Okay, we still have time to decorate Mz. Mole's desk. How can we do that?

OLIVE: I have an idea. We can try going around that tree and into the school.

ELINOR: Good idea!

ARI: Let's try it!

[crunch] [crunch] [crunch]

MZ.MOLE: Oh! Hey, kids!

Are you enjoying the beautiful crunchy autumn leaves?

OLIVE: Y-yeah, very crunchy. [crunch] [crunch] [crunch]

Almost crunchy enough to eat.

ARI/ELINOR: [giggle]

OLIVE: ..Erm... BYE!

MZ. MOLE: Hmm...

OLIVE: How did Mz. Mole know we were there this time?

ARI: Maybe she has super powers, and her superhero name is Super See'er because she can SEE all!

ELINOR/OLIVE: [giggle]

OLIVE: Well... how else are we going to get past her?

ELINOR: Hmmm... Maybe if we run REALLY fast, it'll help us get by Mz. Mole!

ARI: Great idea, Elinor!

OLIVE: Yeah!

SIGGY: What's a great idea?

KIDS: Aaaaahhhhhh!

ARI: [giggles] Wowzers. You're good at surprising us, Siggy.

SIGGY: Oh! Sorry! I didn't mean to scare you.

I was just wondering how your surprise for Mz. Mole was going?

Did she love it?

ELINOR: Well, we haven't been able to get past her yet, but we have a great idea.

We're going to run really fast!

SIGGY: That's a fun idea. Good luck [whispers] Super Spies!

ELINOR: [giggles] Thanks, Siggy.

OLIVE: He did it again. He's gone.

ARI: Okay, really, how does he do that?

ELINOR: We'll have to figure that out later because we have a surprise to give. C'mon!

[whispers] Mz. Mole will never spot us if we run really fast.

Ready. Set.

Hah! Okay, let's go!

Oof! Ack-!

OLIVE: Oh no! ARI: Elinor!

MZ. MOLE: Is everything okay, Elinor?

ELINOR: I'm fine, Mz. Mole. Thanks for asking!

[sad sigh]

OLIVE: [sad sigh] I don't think we'll ever be able to get past Mz. Mole

to surprise her for Teacher's Day.

SIGGY: You still haven't surprised Mz. Mole?

KIDS: Aaaaaahhhhhhh!

OLIVE: Hi Siggy. No, we haven't, and we're running out of time. Recess is almost over.

SIGGY: Hmm... Yep, that is a hard nut to crack. [chomping]

ARI: But on the bright side, Siggy, you're sure good at surprising us.

ELINOR: Yep! How do you do it, Siggy?

SIGGY: I guess us squirrels are good at getting around without being noticed.

I don't know how I do it? I do it without thinking.

ELINOR: Hmm... [gasp] I know!

We need more observations!

Why don't we watch how Siggy gets around without being noticed.

ARI: Great idea, Elinor!

OLIVE: Yeah, great idea!

SIGGY: Okay, that sounds like fun!

ARI: Oh...

ELINOR: There he is!

OLIVE: Look! Siggy is being very quiet. Maybe that's why no one is noticing he's there.

ARI: Yep, when I was trying to get past Mz. Mole, I was not being quiet at all.

ARI: Da-da-da-da-de-doo... Er...

We're not doing a surprise for Teacher's Day or anything...

MZ. MOLE: What's that Ari?

ARI: Oh no! We've been spotted.

ELINOR: And look! He's being extra careful not to step on sticks and crunchy leaves.

OLIVE: That's how Mz. Mole knew I was there. I was stepping on crunchy leaves and making lots of noise.

MZ. MOLE: Oh! Hey, kids!

ARI: Whoa, look at his feet. He's moving so slow!

ELINOR: Not like me. I was hopping so fast I tripped.

Oh! Ack-!

MZ. MOLE: Is everything okay, Elinor?

OLIVE: Wow! They didn't even notice Siggy was there.

ARI: That's how he does it! [sigh] He's such a Super Spy.

SIGGY: Who's a Super Spy?

KIDS: Aaaahhhhhh!

ELINOR/OLIVE: [giggles]

ELINOR: You are Siggy!

OLIVE: Yeah, we watched you all around the playground and no one even noticed you were there.

SIGGY: [giggles] Aw shucks, thanks. Did you see how I did it?

ARI: We learned that you are really-really good at not getting noticed

because you are very-very quiet. You didn't talk at all!

OLIVE: And you made sure not to step on loud sticks or crunchy leaves.

ELINOR: And you moved [talks slowly] very-very slowly.

KIDS: [giggles]

ELINOR: Let's try our surprise for Mz. Mole one more time,

but this time, we'll act like you, Siggy!

ARI: Do you want to come with us?

SIGGY: I'd love to!

KIDS: [cheer] [giggles] Woo-hoo! Yeah!

OLIVE: [sniffs] [sniffs]

SIGGY: [gasp]

OLIVE: [whispers] Phew.

KIDS: [quiet] Yeah! Yes!

ARI: [quiet] We did it!

OLIVE: [quiet] We can start decorating.

[school bell rings]

MZ. MOLE: All right, kids, back to class!

KIDS: [cheers] Woo-hoo!

[giggles] Yay!

SURPRISE! [cheers] Woo-hoo! [giggles]

MZ. MOLE: [gasp] Oh my!

OLIVE: We know flowers are your favorite, so we wanted to decorate your desk with...

ELINOR: FLOWERS! To show you that you're our favorite teacher.

MZ. MOLE: I-I-I LOVE IT! But how did you do all this without me knowing?

ELINOR: That's the best part!

OLIVE: We learned how to be quiet by observing Siggy!

ARI: Yeah, squirrels are really good at moving around without being noticed.

ELINOR: So, that's how we got by you to decorate your desk during recess.

SIGGY: Happy Teacher's Day!

Mz. MOLE: Ahhhh! [laughs]

ALL: [laughs] Woo-hoo!

ELINOR: "The Nose Knows"

MR. RABBIT: [whistles]

[humming]

ELINOR: [sniff] [sniff] Mmm...

do I smell my favorite breakfast in the whole world?

MR. RABBIT: Well, that depends. Would that be...

ELINOR/MR. RABBIT: Pancakes with peaches!!!

ELINOR: My favorite!

Mmm... so yummy! [gulp]

Are we celebrating something special?

MR. RABBIT: Nope, I just made you a special breakfast because I love ya!

ELINOR: I love you too, Dad!

MR. RABBIT: More than you love pancakes with peaches?

ELINOR: Hmmm...

More!

ELINOR/MR. RABBIT: [giggles]

ARI: [giggles]

OLIVE: Voila!

ELINOR: Hmm...

OLIVE: Huh?

Hi Elinor. Whatcha thinking about?

ELINOR: I want to get my dad something to show him how much I love him.

My Dad made me my favorite breakfast, so I want to do something for him too!

OLIVE: Since he made you your favorite food, what if you get him his favorite food?

ELINOR: Ooh, my dad loves the truffle tarts from Ms. Llama's restaurant.

They're his favorite food in the whole world.

ARI: Let's get him some! I love Ms. Llama's restaurant!

OLIVE: And Ms. Llama's food always smells soooo good! Let's go!

MS. LLAMA: Hey there, kids.

ELINOR: Hi, Ms. Llama!

I want to get my dad an extra special treat today, so I thought I'd get him-

MS. LLAMA: Oh, let me guess... truffle tarts? They're your Dad's favorite. [giggles]

ELINOR: That's right!

MS. LLAMA: Well, I'll go get some. But first, let me introduce you to Rudy.

He's visiting his uncle, Mr. Pig, for a few days.

ELINOR: Hi, Rudy!

RUDY: Hi.

ARI: Welcome to Animal Town.

ELINOR: So Rudy, if you're looking for stuff to do in town, we know all the fun places.

RUDY: Thanks. [sniffs] [snorts] [snorts]

Hey, Elinor...

I like to eat peach pancakes for breakfast, too.

ELINOR: Yeah, those are soooo...

Wait, how did you know I ate pancakes with peaches today?

OLIVE: Can you tell what I ate for breakfast, Rudy?

RUDY: [sniffs] [snorts] [snorts] A grapefruit and a bagel.

OLIVE: Whoa! [giggles]

ARI: Okay, okay, what did I eat?

RUDY: [sniffs] [snorts] A banana, orange juice, toast, pancakes, and...

Umm... [sniffs] [snorts] A baked potato?

ARI: Whoa! You must be a magician.

You should be called... The Great Rudini!!!

ELINOR: Rudy, that is soooo interesting! How do you know what we ate?

RUDY: Actually... Pigs have a really good sense of smell,

especially when it comes to food, even if it's hidden,

like... [sniffs] [snorts] The raisins in Ari's pocket.

ARI: What?

Raisins! I forgot I had those!

Rudy, your nose is the gift that keeps on giving! [munching]

OLIVE: We elephants are pretty good at smelling with our trunks from far away, too,

[sniff] [sniff] like that delicious...

OLIVE/RUDY: Apple pie!

ELINOR: [giggles] There's no-

MS. LLAMA: Apple pie, anyone?

ELINOR: Olive, your nose is as amazing as Rudy's!

RUDY: Sure is, pigs and elephants are both super sniffers.

MS. LLAMA: Say, Elinor, would your Dad be interested in some apple pie, by any chance?

ELINOR: He does like apple pie, but truffle tarts are his favorite.

MS. LLAMA: Oh, I'm sorry, Elinor. I just checked, and I'm all out of truffle tarts.

OLIVE: Oh, no! Can you make some more?

MS. LLAMA: Unfortunately, I ran out of truffles.

ARI: That's okay, Ms. Llama. Maybe I can get you some truffles from the store?

MS. LLAMA: I'm afraid it's not that easy.

You see, truffles grow deep in the forest, so they're very, very hard to find.

ELINOR: [sad sigh] It's okay, Ms. Llama. Thank you for checking.

I guess I won't be able to get my dad his favorite.

MS. LLAMA: Ooooh, well, I don't seem to have a lot of customers today.

And it IS an awfully nice day...

Would you care to join me for a truffle hunt?

ARI: I'd love to go on a truffle hunt.

Er... What's a truffle hunt?

MS. LLAMA: It's when you go looking for truffles in the forest.

Do you want to come along?

ELINOR: Yeah! ARI: Awesome! OLIVE: Thanks, Ms. Llama!

Would you like to come too, Rudy?

RUDY: That would be... awesome!

KIDS: [cheer] Yeah! Woo-hoo!

MS. LLAMA: Oop, don't want to forget my truffle hunting bag. Let's go, kids!

Okay everyone, follow me to the truffle spot.

ARI: Ms. Llama, I know we're looking for truffles,

but I just have one question: Er... What's a truffle?

OLIVE: It's a mushroom, isn't it?

MS. LLAMA: Almost. A truffle is a lot like a mushroom

since mushrooms and truffles are both a kind of living thing called a fungi.

ELINOR: Ms. Llama, I found something.

Is this a truffle?

MS. LLAMA: You did find a fungus, Elinor, but this isn't a truffle. It's a shelf mushroom.

RUDY: Whoa! Fungi grow on trees?

MS. LLAMA: Oh, they sure do, Rudy. Fungi grow in all kinds of places.

Most grow on the ground, but some grow on trees or even inside of caves.

ARI: Can we just use one of these fungi in the tarts instead?

OLIVE: Oh, we have to be careful, Ari. Not all fungi are okay to eat.

MS. LLAMA: That's true, Olive, so it's very important to always ask an adult before picking any fungi.

The good news is we don't need to use the other fungi, because we're here!

This is the spot where I can usually find some truffles.

ELINOR: Ms. Llama, we don't see any fungi around here.

MS. LLAMA: Well, that's because truffles are very hard to find.

You see, truffles grow under the ground, buried in the dirt.

OLIVE: Then how are we going to see them?

MS. LLAMA: I usually just dig around the roots of the trees until I find some.

ELINOR: But Ms. Llama, there are a lot of trees here.

ARI: It's going to take a long time to check all of them.

We need to find these truffles fast!

MS. LLAMA: I think you're right, Ari.

And if we don't find any soon, I won't have time to make any truffle tarts before lunch.

ELINOR: And I won't be able to give my dad his favorite food.

ARI: [tummy gurgle]

All this talk about lunch is making me hungry.

RUDY: [sniffs] [sniffs] [snorts] [snorts]

Ari, if you're hungry, I think you still have a few raisins left in your back pocket.

ARI: How did you...? Oh, right, nose magic.

ELINOR: [gasp] I think I know who can find these truffles faster.

Ms. Llama, do truffles have a strong smell?

MS. LLAMA: They have a very strong smell. [sniffs]

See, even when the bag I use to hold them is empty, you can still smell them.

ELINOR: Then I think I know two friends who can use their noses to find some truffles.

OLIVE: The Great Rudini!

RUDY: And the Amazing Olive!

ELINOR: Do you two think you could smell truffles growing underground?

RUDY: When you need to find a food that you can't see, the nose knows!

OLIVE/RUDY: [sniffs] [snorts]

[sniffs] [snorts]

OLIVE: C'mon!

ELINOR: [singing] ♪♪♪When you search with your eyes and ears.

[singing]But you can't find it far or near.

OLIVE: [singing]Here's a good way. That everyone knows.

Take a long sniff... And use your nose.

KIDS: [singing]The nose knows! Whaddaya know! The nose knows!

Just smell and go!

[sniffs] [sniffs] [sniffs] [sniffs]

ELINOR: [singing]Everything has their own special smell.

Apples, raisins. And truffles as well.

OLIVE: [singing]So if you want to find, where something grows.

Take a long sniff... and use your nose!

KIDS: [singing]The nose knows! Whaddaya know! The nose knows!

Just smell and go!

OLIVE/RUDY: [sniffing]

OLIVE: This way!

RUDY: [sniffing]

OLIVE: Voila!

ARI: Uh, I don't see any truffles. Actually, I don't see anything.

ELINOR: Remember, Ari, truffles grow underground, so it isn't about what you see...

OLIVE: It's about what you smell!

RUDY: [sniffing]

OLIVE: [sniffing] RUDY: [snorting]

Mhm. Right here, for sure! It smells just like Ms. Llama's truffle bag!

MS. LLAMA: Good smelling, kids! I guess it's time to... start digging!

ARI: Race ya!

Got one!

RUDY: Me too! Oh, wait! [sniff] [snort] [snort]

I got two!

MS. LLAMA: Yep! Those are truffles all right!

ELINOR: How many more do we need to make truffle tarts, Ms. Llama?

MS. LLAMA: Well, when it comes to flavor, a little truffle goes a long way,

so this is more than enough to make a big ole' batch of truffle tarts for your Dad,

and everybody else, too!

ELINOR: Really? Way to go, Olive and Rudy!

Okay, keep your eyes covered, or you'll ruin your surprise.

MR. RABBIT: [sniffing] I'd know that smell anywhere! Is my surprise...

Elinor! You did all this for me?

ELINOR: Not just me! I couldn't have done it without

Ari, Olive, Ms. Llama and... the Great Rudini!

MR. RABBIT: Oh, hello Rudy... I-I mean... the GREAT RUDINI!

RUDY: [giggling] [snorts] Nice to meet you, Mr. Rabbit.

MR. RABBIT: Thanks, Elinor.

ELINOR: Oh, it was no truffle... er, I mean trouble, at all!

ALL: [laughter]
