so many surprising things.

Donkey: Oh, that's a swing you can stand on!

Cousin: Whoa! I've never been on a swing you can stand on!

Donkey: It's so fun!

Donkey: And since you've never swung on this,

it's something you've never done before.

Donkey: Well, then let's play on it!

Umm, uh, how do you swing on it?

So, the first thing that you want to do is...

Cousin: I think I know what to do.

[grunts]

Donkey/Cousin: [laughing]

Cousin: Sorry about that, Donkey!

Donkey: Oh, don't worry about it, Cousin!

So, what you want to do is start with...

Cousin: I'm gonna go again!

Whoa! Okay! Donkey: Steady.

Cousin: I got it. I got it.

I-I don't got it.

Donkey/Cousin: [laughing]

Cousin: Sorry about that again, Donkey!

Donkey: Well, don't worry about it again, Cousin!

Cousin: I'm going again!

Donkey: Oh, but-but- wait, wait, Cousin...

Cousin: Huh?

Donkey: Watch and pay close attention to these steps.

First, Cousin Hodie... Cousin: Mh-hmm.

Donkey: You grab this big rope really tight,

and you stand very straight,

and you try to keep your feet underneath you...

and try to keep my feet underneath me.

[sighs] Don't worry, Donkey, I'm gonna try again,

because that's what Hodies do.

I've never swung on an elephant's trunk before!

Donkey: Well, swinging on a sneezy elephant isn't fun.

Cousin: Mm-mmm. Donkey: How else can you swing?

Hmm. [gasps]

King of Swing: What-h*! It is I, the King of Swing!

Did I hear somebody say they wanna swing?

Cousin: Oh, oh. I do, your majesty.

King of Swing: Oh, well, then, take a swing on my swing throne!

[trumpets blare royal intro]

Cousin: Thank you, King of Swing!

King of Swing: Have a swinging time!

Cousin: [laughs]

Woo! [laughs] This is fun!

I've never done this before!

[laughs] Wee!

[trumpets blare royal intro] Ahh!

[giggling] Ahh, the swing throne was fun,

but, um, it's not as fun as swinging on the tree swing.

Donkey: Hmm. Cousin: Can I try the tree swing

one more time? Donkey: Let's do it!

Cousin: Hmph. Woo!

Yeah!

Nooooo!

Grrr!

Donkey: Cousin Hodie, wait!

Cousin: [sigh] I'm just so sad.

Donkey: Mmm. I'm sad too, Cousin.

Cousin: I wanna swing!

Donkey: I want you to swing too, Cousin.

Cousin: But it's just too hard for me on that swing.

Donkey: Why is it hard for you?

Cousin: [sigh] I dunno...

Donkey: Hmm.

Well, if we knew that, maybe we can find a solution!

Cousin: Well, it's hard for my little hooves

to hold onto the big rope.

Donkey: Hmm. Cousin: ...and then to stand

straight on the little disc, and then to swing,

it's just so, so hard!

Donkey: Yeah, it was like that for me too!

It took me a long time to learn how to swing -

and to be strong enough to hold onto the rope

and to stand up straight.

Cousin: [sigh] So unfair.

I'll have to wait like a million years to be able to do it.

And I'm only here for the day!

Donkey: Hmm. [gasp]

Maybe we can find a way to change the tree swing

so that we both can swing on it and have fun...

Cousin: How?

Donkey: Well, this reminds me of when I wanted

to learn to ride a bike, and Grampy was teaching me.

After trying and falling

and trying and falling a lot of times,

Grampy made training wheels for me.

Cousin: Uh, training wheels? Donkey: Yeah!

They helped me balance, and then when I felt comfortable,

we took off the training wheels and away I went.

Cousin: Mmm. But I wanna learn how to swing,

not ride a bike, Donkey.

Donkey: Hmm. [gasps] I know.

We are going to make a training swing!

Cousin: A training swing?

Donkey: Mm-hmm.

And this is a training swing!

With handles so you can hold on easily...

...and a larger disc so you can stand easily too.

What do you think, Cousin? Cousin: Aww!

This is such a haw-heewesome idea, Donkey!

Donkey: Well, give it a try!

Cousin: Okay!

Donkey: [gasps]

Cousin: Hey! These handles are great!

And I can stand really easily on the big disk too!

Donkey: Let's see if you can swing.

Cousin: Okay! Umm. I'm hanging on!

And, um, I'm doing it!

And I was playing the role of the Large City Building.

But, alas, the play was canceled.

as we say in this business,

so I will search for another role to play today,

but it sure won't be easy...

Donkey: Well, it might be hard,

but you can do hard things, Stanley.

Just like I learned to spin the ball on my hoof!
