Aspen: I'm really excited for today's class, aren't you?

Aspen: I wonder what we're going to do today?

Laurel: I don't know what we're going to do today,

but I know it's going to be good.

Kalil: Yeah, I'm feeling artsy.

Harriett: Moo-hoo, everybody!

Welcome students to another art class!

I can't wait to take you on today's

exciting adventure in art!

Laurel: Mm-hmm! Aspen: I'm so excited!

Harriett: But before I do, let's, uh,

make sure you're all here.

Okay, uh, Aspen?

Aspen: [gasps] Here!

Harriett: Mm-hm. Uh, Kalil?

Kalil: Yes!

Harriett/Kalil: Are you here?/Yes!

Harriett: Okay. Laurel?

Laurel: Here and here! Ha!

Harriett: That's the spirit, Laurel!

Hmm, uh, Donkey Hodie?

Donkey? Hmm... Anybody seen Donkey?

Aspen: Donkey? She's not under here.

Laurel: Oh! Oh! I see her! I see her! She's coming!

Look, look, look, look!

Aspen: Wow!

Donkey: I'm here, Harriett! Sorry I'm late,

but Gregory wanted to wear his bowtie for today's class!

Gregory: [Blurt!]

Harriett: Mm, lookin' good, Gregory!

Gregory/Harriett: Mm-mmm./Come on up!

Donkey: [giggles] Excuse me!

Gregory: [Blurt.]

Donkey: Good morning, Laurel. Hi, Kalil. Hi, Aspen!

Harriett: Thanks so much for getting dressed up, Gregory.

Gregory: [Blurt.]

And I want to thank, Donkey Hodie,

for bringing Gregory here back to class!

I can tell you've all had fun drawing him,

using pencils, and markers...

Gregory: [Blurt.]

Donkey: Um, how are we going to draw him today, Harriett?

Aspen: Are we using glitter pens?

Kalil: Crayons?

Laurel: Colored pencils?

Harriett: None of the above!

Today, instead of drawing Gregory,

you're gonna make a sculpture of him!

Donkey: Hmm?

Laurel: Sculpture?

Gregory: [Blurt.]

Aspen: Um...What's a sculpture?

Harriett: Good question, Aspen!

This is a sculpture!

It's a kind of art where you can see all the sides of something.

Kalil/Aspen: Sculpture?/That's fun.

Harriett: You can use lots of different materials to make a sculpture.

And today, we'll be using...

[all exclaim]

Hmm, wait till you see this!

Aspen/Donkey: Huh?/Huh?

Harriett: These!

Pipe cleaner, pinecones, pompoms, and clay!

Laurel: Uh, you can make sculptures with that?

Harriett: You sure can, Laurel!

You just glue, or mold,

or twist these materials here

and they become works of art!

Laurel: Cool!

I want to make an orange Gregory out of pipe cleaners! Yeah!

Donkey: Ooo, I want the pipe cleaners, too!

Aspen: Me too!

Harriett: Well, uh, uh, I'm afraid there are

not enough pipe cleaners for everyone.

So to make it fair, uh, oh yeah,

I'm gonna draw names out of this hat to decide who uses what.

Okay?

Donkey: Ooo, I hope I get the pipe cleaners.

I really don't want the clay.

It looks so cold and gray and slimy.

Harriett: Ok! And the pipe cleaners go to...

Aspen: [gasps] Yes!

[humming happily]

Donkey: [sighs] Well...

maybe I'll get the pompoms! Those could be fun!

Harriett: Ok! And the pompoms go to...

Kalil.

Kalil: [gasps] I love pompoms!

[laughs]

Donkey: Oh, please let me get the pinecones.

Please, let me get the pinecones.

Harriett: And the pinecones go to...

Laurel.

Laurel: Oh, yeah. Yeah, I can work with that.

Harriett: Which means that Donkey you get the...

Donkey: The clay...

Harriett: Mm-hmm. Gregory why don't you take the hat!

Gregory: [Blurt! Blurt blurt!]

Harriett: Now Gregory, please turn around slowly so the class can see

and sculpt all your sides.

Gregory: [Blurt!]

Hmph!

Kalil: [gasps] He's a pro.

Aspen: He sure is.

Harriett: Thank you, Gregory!

Let the art adventure begin!

[group cheers]

Aspen: I'm so excited!

Gregory: Mm-hmm...

Laurel: Okay, let's see what we've got.

Kalil: Oh, yes. Hi, pompom.

Aspen: That's going to be the tail. Mm- hmm.

Laurel: So that's Gregory, and that's a pinecone.

Pinecone, and that'll be Gregory.

Donkey: I've never used clay before.

Ooo!

Ugh. It feels so cold!

Mmm.

I don't know how I'm going to make this look like Gregory.

Harriett: Moo-hoo, how's it going over here Donkey?

Everything okay?

Donkey: Hmm, I don't know, this clay is just so cold,

and it's not very soft...

Harriett: Yeah, clay can feel a little cold at first,

but once you work with it a little, it'll warm up,

it'll get softer.

You'll see. Give it a try.

Donkey: But-but, does trying mean I that,

that I have to touch the clay?

Harriett: Oh, I know, clay is messy,

but I've got my Wash-em-up-a-rino standing by!

[bubbles gurgling]

Donkey: I don't want to try the clay.

Harriett: Hmm?

Well, you don't have to try it.

And if you do try it, you don't have to like it.

You can just be proud you tried.

But... if you don't try at all, you'll never know...

Donkey: Never know what?

Harriett: ♪ I saw a moment in your life

♪ that you may not recall.

♪ You got your first guitar, and you did not like it at all. ♪

♪ It seemed too tough for you to play. ♪

♪ It was so strange and new. ♪

♪ But you reached out and tapped it and gave a strum or two. ♪

♪ And you didn't know you liked it till you tried. ♪

♪ At first, you didn't want to, but you tried. ♪

♪ Oh! And I could tell you felt a sense of pride. ♪

♪ You could have walked away, and yet you tried. ♪

♪ And since that day, I'm proud to say ♪

♪ You've tried so much that's new: ♪

♪ Banana schmoopsies with your pals... ♪

Donkey: ♪ And mountain climbing, too... ♪

Harriett: ♪ You learned to hoof dance even though, ♪

♪ at first, it was so hard. ♪

Donkey: ♪ I flew your Swoop-a-rino ♪

♪ and landed in your yard. ♪

Harriett: ♪ All of my inventions, you've given them a whirl. ♪

♪ Whatever situation, you're such a gutsy girl. ♪

♪ Oh! And you won't know you like it 'til you try. ♪

♪ It's okay if you don't like it, but you try. ♪

♪ Whoah-oh! The pride you'll feel inside's the reason why. ♪

Donkey: ♪ I may or may not like it, but I'll try. ♪

♪ Woah, I'll try. ♪

I, Donkey Hodie, will try the clay.

Harriett: Atta girl, Donkey.

And remember, if you try it and you really don't like it,

it's okay, you can stop-- [glue squirting]

Laurel. Laurel, that is too much glue!

Laurel, you got a pinecone stuck to your tail!

Donkey: [giggles]

All right. I am going to try this clay.

And if I don't like it, that's fine.

Trying the clay.

Hmm.

But how do I do that?

Think, Donkey Hodie, think...

Hmm.

Uh.

I guess I really have to touch it this time.

[breathes deeply]

Hmm...

[gasps] Hey.

Look at that!

♪

[gasps]

Those are my hoof prints.

That's me in the clay!

Hee-hawesome!

Harriett was right.

The clay is getting warmer and softer the more I touch it.

[gasps]

Hmm?

I wonder if I can make some of this into a big round ball

for Gregory's body?

Yeah!

Smooooosh...

Laurel: This, this is a problem.

Mm! Mm, mm, mm!

Donkey: [giggles]

Gregory: [Blurt!]

[sighs]

Laurel: Uh-oh. Uh.

♪

Donkey: [giggles]

Gregory: Hmm.

Donkey: Huh?

Gregory: [giggles]

Harriett: Hmm. I am so proud of yinz for going on this art adventure!

Look at these wonderful Gregory sculptures!

Ok. Come on up and tell us about your sculpture!

Kalil. You're first!

Kalil: Oh!

Harriett: Come on up. Hmm.

Kalil: Oh, well I had a lot of fun gluing the pompoms,

so I made Gregory a super-long trunk!

Kalil/Harriett: [laughs]/Mm-hmm.

Gregory: [Blurt blurt!]

Harriett: I think Gregory likes it!

And so do I!

Okay, Laurel, you're next!

Laurel: Um. Oh, um.

I, I, I, I don't think my sculpture

looks very much like Gregory.

Harriett: Hmm. Well, I see his body, and his trunk, and the hat!

That's impressive, Laurel.

Pinecones are tricky to work with!

Laurel: Yeah, 'specially with sticky, gluey wings!

Blah!

[group laughs]

Harriett: Wonderful work, Laurel!

The Wash-em- up-a-rino awaits you!

Harriett/Kalil: But first.../Huh?

Harriett/Kalil: No no, you keep going./Oh.

Harriett: Come on up, Aspen!

Aspen: Okay!

Harriett: Tell us about your sculpture now.

Aspen: Um, I didn't like the pipe cleaners.

They kept untwisting.

Harriett: Well, it's okay you didn't like them.

I'm proud of you for trying!

Gregory: [Blurt blurt!]

Harriett: And so is Gregory!

Aspen: Aw thanks...

I'm proud of me, too.

Harriett: Mmm. Okay, Donkey...

your turn!

So how'd you like using that clay, hmm?

Donkey: Well, the clay was cold at first,

and, and pretty messy... [giggles]

Harriett: Mm-hmm.

Donkey: But...

Harriett: Hmm?

Donkey: I liked it!

Harriett: Moo-hoo!

Aspen/Laurel: She liked it!/She liked it!

Donkey: I'm proud that I tried the clay,

and I'm really proud of my sculpture.

Gregory: Aww!

Mwah!

Mwah!

Donkey: [giggles]

Gregory... Thank you.

[laughs] Oh!

But now it looks like we both need the Wash-em-up-a-rino!

Laurel: [grunts] Did someone say Wash-em-up-a-rino?

Mmm. I hope so, 'cause I'm stuck to it.

[group laughs]

Harriett: Hey, let's put it in party mode!

Laurel: Huh?

Aspen: Party mode?

[upbeat dance music plays]

Harriett: Moo-hoo!

Aspen: I love party mode!

Just wait till Panda sees this purple spaceship

piñata I made him!

Panda: Oh, just wait till Donkey sees this

Amazing Radish-Mobile I made for her.

It goes vroom-vroom and everything.

[giggles]

[crank!]

Toy: Vroom-vroom!

Panda: [giggles] She's going to be so surprised!

Donkey: I gotta give it to him right now!

Panda: I gotta give it to her right now!

[zip!]

[bonk!]

Donkey: Ooo! Sorry, Panda!

I was so excited to give you the purple spaceship piñata I made,

that I wasn't watching where I was going!

Panda: Hmm. And I was so excited to give

you the Amazing Radish-Mobile that I made,

I wasn't looking where I was going either!

Donkey: You made me an Amazing Radish-Mobile?

[gasps]

Panda: Yeah. It goes vroom-vroom and everything.

Wait a minute.

You made me a purple spaceship piñata?

Donkey: Ha yeah! Filled with purple treats!

[giggles]

Panda: [gasps]

We were both doing kind things for each other at the same time!

Donkey: Ya know, Panda. That gives me an idea.

Panda: [gasps] I love ideas!

Donkey: Maybe since doing something kind was on both of our minds,

we should make today...

Donkey Panda Kindness Day!

Panda: Oh! Or, maybe, it's...

Panda Donkey Kindness Day!

Donkey: [gasps] Wait! Wait, wait!

I know what today is!

It's... it's...

Donkey/Panda: Danda Ponkey Kindness Day!

Panda: It's just like the name of our band!

Donkey: Yeah! We can devote this whole day

to doing kind things for everyone we love!

Panda: Yeah!

Donkey: I, Donkey Hodie,

hereby declare this Danda Ponkey Kindness Day!

Panda: Let the kindness begin!

Donkey: Alright, Panda.

We have planned a great Danda Ponkey Kindness Day.

Panda: We sure have, Donkey.

[both giggle] What's first?

Donkey: Alright.

First, we bake grumbleberry cake ba*ls for Bob Dog.

Panda: Ooo!

Donkey: Then, we make an adventure storybook for Duck Duck!

Panda: Mmm! [giggles]

Donkey: Then, we build a comfy, wumphy elefort for Gregory!

Panda: Hey-o!

Donkey: Ready to get started on those cake ba*ls?

Panda: Cake ba*ls, prepare to be made!

Donkey: Hmph.

[upbeat music plays]

Donkey/Panda: Ta-da!

Panda: So cake-y and so ball-y!

Bob Dog/Donkey: Hey Donkey!/Oh!

Bob Dog: Hey Panda!

Panda/Donkey: Happy Danda Ponkey Kindness Day!

We made these grumbleberry cake ba*ls just for you!

Bob Dog: You did?

Panda: Yeah! Because you love grumbleberries...

[gasps] ...and you love ba*ls.

Bob Dog: Aw...

Well, that was really, really kind!

Panda: Ummm...

Donkey?

Donkey: Hmm? [gasps]

Bob Dog: Bow-wow!

You made them bounce, too?

Donkey: No, no, no, no! This isn't supposed to happen!

[boing!]

Panda: I don't remember this being in the recipe at all.

Donkey: Oh no!

I accidentally used three JUMBO scoops

of Bounce-O Bake-y powder, instead of three MINI scoops!

Panda: Oh.

Bob Dog: Well, it was still really, really kind!

And I love chasing bouncy ba*ls more than anything else!

So, uh, bye...

and thank you!

Donkey: Aw.

How did I make a mistake like that?

What a blunder. What a bummer.

It's a... blummer.

Panda: Aw, Donkey, it's okay.

Everybody makes mistakes sometimes.

Donkey: Hmm...

Panda: Okay, if I made a mistake, what would you do?

Donkey: Well, I'd-I'd try to make you feel better.

Panda: Right! That's kindness.

So when we make a mistake,

we can make ourselves feel better

by being kind to ourselves.

Donkey: Kind to myself?

Panda: Mm-hmm. Here's a song that my Mama

Donkey: I think we forgot to put Gregory's bed inside!

Panda: Oh, but how do we do that without knocking the fort down?

Gregory: [Uh-oh.]

Maybe we can carefully pull the bed inside?

Panda: Yeah!

Donkey: Let's give it a try.

I'm feelin' kinda bad about all these mistakes...

Panda: Yeah, I hear that.

Donkey: Hmm.

But ya know what else, Panda?

I can be kind to me!

Panda: Hey, yeah!

We can be kind to us!

Donkey: Yeah! Hey, let's sing your song!

Panda: Okay, but it's your song too now, Donkey.

Grampy: I am so proud of you both!

You made some mistakes, but you stayed positive

and remained kind to yourselves, Donkaroo and Pandaroo!

Donkey: Aw, thanks! [giggles]

Gregory: [snoring]

Donkey: Hey, look at Gregory!

Grampy: I think he likes the pillow pile even more than the elefort!

Panda: Oh hey, Donkey,

Donkey: [gasps] Great idea, Panda pal.

After all, there's no such thing as too much kindness.
