I got out of my own house,
to, like, avoid my parents.

I don't wanna go to Emelye's.
I gotta deal with her mom, too?

- Exactly.

- Yeah. Her mom doesn't give a sh*t either.

It's like, she rips on me
harder than Emelye. I'm like, yo!

One time, when we first started talking,
we were in Emelye's house.

Usually, she tracks her mother,
and it was like, oh, we have ten minutes,

- Yeah. [laughs]
- So, we started getting into it.

[laughing] Next thing you know,
her mom barged in.

- I'm in the f*ck' closet, butt naked.
- Oh, my God!

Like, this is your house! I'm like,
I don't know her, I can't talk to her!

She's screaming in Polish. Emelye's like,
"Mom, Mom, give me one second.

Like, please, just leave for one second."
Finally, Em closes the door.

I come out and put my clothes on,
and I'm like, f*ck, all right, here we go.

[Avery] Ew. That is super awkward.

Sort of like Ilan
getting stood-up by Sophia.

Yeah, I would love to hang out,
but I think, as friends.

- [door slams]
- [sighs]

[Avery] And speaking of friends,
Lottie decided to throw a party

in the spirit of togetherness.

- I love you.
- I just wanted to say hi.

[Avery] And it actually kind of worked.

I'm not shaking your hand.

[Avery] Well, for some of us, anyway.

And while Emelye and I
aren't exactly back to being BFFs,

at least we're trying, which is
more than I can say for Reid...

- So, who's side are you on?
- Who's side am I on?

[Avery] ...who is still
happily rocking the boat.

I'm a fake-a*s b*tch.

[Avery] And as Juliet and Tony
continue to plan a future together...

What if I came down for a while?

That's fine. Like,
I want you there all the time.

[Avery] ...Frankie made his feelings
known to me.

[Frankie] I don't wanna

I leave the 19th now, but I'm
gonna try and go a little bit later.

- At least I can enjoy the beach.

and everything up here.

That's what I'm trying for,
'cause I have an orientation week.

And as a freshman,
I have to go to orientation,

but I don't really want to
'cause I'd rather stay here...

- It's fun.

Yeah, you feel like you're at camp.
Like, I think that you're gonna love it.

I went to sleep-away camp and I,
like, cried on the bus ride there.

I was just like, I wanna just go home.

It's okay to cry that first night, 'cause
it is like... and everyone is gonna cry.

- But I get homesick really easily.

Whether they want to admit it

pick your friends based on who you like.

They don't even know who I am.
They don't know where I came from.

They're gonna ask me, like, questions,
and from there, we can start friendships,

- for the last couple weeks.

And I wanted to
take some responsibility for that.

I think I kinda just
jumped in the middle to a place

where I shouldn't have jumped

I was just hurt, and I felt like
I went from one and a half friends...

'cause Emelye and I were like, weird,
and I felt like I have you on my side...

And then, all of a sudden,
it went from that to zero.

I don't know, like, I love you
and I love Emelye, too,

kind of in the middle of it.

And I like to people please everyone.
It's kind of hard for me to pick a side.

I shouldn't have worded it as though,
like, you know, you have to take a side.

I think I was just agreeing with her, too,
'cause I think maybe I was a bit jealous

that you've found these new friends.
And obviously, I don't think they love me.

I just think the conversation

we had could've been addressed
a little bit differently.
