This episode's action takes place
in a room that's out of this world,

the Planetarium!

It's the toughest room on Floor is Lava,

with countless ways to cross
and just as many ways to fail.

I'm gonna go forward.

Teams have fallen on the Apollo capsule...

Let's go.

...crash landed on the space rocks...

[man] Come on!

...and only one player
has ever made it to the other side.

[both] Yes!

Anything is possible!

Now, we've made it even harder

by hiding a devastating booby trap

in the single most obvious place ever.

A big red button!

Will someone finally conquer
the tippy telescope?

Or set foot on the triple rocket?

Can they do it in Planetarium: Level Two?

Our first team met each other
growing up in Boston.

Say hello
to three wicked-confident players,

Anthony, Alex, and Chris. The Bostonians.

Boston is a title town.

We're going to take home
the first Floor is Lava title for Boston.

Put the banners up now
because we'll be there.

-Let's go. Let's go!
-[Alex] Get the parade ready.

Can we just establish this now,
that all Boston sports teams

are better than Los Angeles sports teams?

I was trying to put my finger on it.

-That's the tip, right?

-[Alex] Tom Brady. Tom Brady.

[Alex] We met each other in high school.

Funny story, we were all in high school,
and then met each other.

[all laugh]

That's it.

I have this feeling that 99% of America
isn't rooting for us,

but they should, because we're gonna win.

-It's what we do.
-Sorry.

At least we're good sports

in the sense that every time we win,
we shake the other team's hand,

-and we'll give it to you. Absolutely.
-100%. Absolutely.

-[Alex] Okay.
-[Anthony] Okay.

[Chris] Okay.

Where are all the rings on the planets?

That's right, Tom Brady's fingers. Whoo!

The Bostonians were able to last
almost five seconds

before mentioning Tom Brady.

Every movie I've seen says,

[Rutledge on PA] Hello, Bostonians,
the rules are simple.

Each player that makes it to the exit door
is worth one point.

The team with the most points wins.

Move quickly,
because from the moment you start,

the stairs at the exit door
will slowly sink into the lava.

And most importantly,
don't fall in, because the floor is...

[all] Lava!

-[Chris] Whoo!
-[Anthony] Oh!

[Alex] Wow.

-[Chris] Okay.
-[Anthony] Let's go.

[Rutledge] Anthony, heading
to the wall of constellations.

He'll have to be careful.
Those handholds are only two inches wide.

Alex and Chris, providing moral support.

Anthony is flying through space,
having no trouble with the wall.

Alex and Chris, having no trouble
standing in the doorway.

Alex, following Anthony's footsteps.

that red button released the first rocket.

[buzzer sounds]

But modifications have been made
to the course.

Now, the first rocket is already up
and that button is no longer helpful.

-[Anthony] Yeah.

I want to see what it does,
if it does anything.

It certainly is a tempting button,
isn't it?

[Chris] Is this thing...

[buzzer sounds]

They should not have pushed that button.

[Alex] Oh, that sucks.
This whole rocket is now wet.

-[Alex] You happy now?
-Yeah.

[mockingly] Oh, push the button.

-Oh, that sucks.
-Oh, my God.

It's like a combination
of gross and disgusting.

Be very careful.

Chris, entering the course.

Something most players
would have done by now.

[Anthony] All right.

It's a five-foot jump between planets.

Short for interplanetary travel,
long for humans.

Be careful, Chris.

Be careful, man.

[Anthony] Here we go.
Be careful, Chris. Be careful.

[Chris] Argh!

[Both] No! Chris!

Oh, man!

That jump was like a Boston Tea Party,

only Chris was the tea,
and Boston Harbor was filled with lava.

But in the end, Chris has departed.

Now, with Chris gone, the Bostonians'
dream of a perfect score has melted away.

But if they get two across,

that would still put them
in a very good position.

-It's floppy, what I can touch.
-It's floppy?

This part's hard.

Alex, stretching across
the three-foot gap to the rocket.

[Anthony] You got it?

-Barely, but yeah.
-All right.

Be mindful of this lava geyser,
or whatever...

I know. It's gonna come up
very conveniently, I'm sure.

[Anthony] Don't lose your head.

-[expl*si*n]
-Oh!

[Anthony] That's kind of funny.

Alex is drenched.

Like someone poured
a cup of chowder on him.

[Anthony] All right, buddy, nice and easy.

If you're gonna do it, commit to it.

Alex, looking to make the four-foot jump
from the rocket to the moon rock.

And he's got it. What a leap!

-[Alex] That's what's up!
-Go ahead. Go ahead.

All right. You might have to just land
on your hands and knees.

Yeah. How slippery is it?

Ah, not very.

It's pretty slippery. Be careful.

[Alex] It feels like everything else

-we've touched so far.
-Okay.

For Boston.

You got this. I believe in you.

-[Anthony groans]
-Yeah! Yeah!

[grunts]

Wow, that was wicked awesome!

And wicked painful.

He landed right on
the old Boston baked beans.

Yikes!

This is the weirdest thing I've ever done.

[strains]

-I'm gonna go for this.
-Okay.

-So you have this to yourself.
-Okay.

Alex, getting ready for the jump
to the Apollo capsule.

Hopefully, he checks to see
whether it moves.

He is not. He is not checking.

Nope, that's not on his agenda.

Big hug. Big hug.

Here we go, baby.

Fly like Larry Bird. Here we go.

Oh, no!

Alex forgot that Larry Bird
was a terrible jumper.

A great basketball player, yes.

And then there was one.

But not known for his leaping abilities.

That capsule is angled
at a steep 60 degrees,

and if that's not hard enough,

it can swing almost to vertical.

Like Good Will Hunting,
Alex learned math the hard way.

How about them apples?

Here we go.

Facing a tricky four-foot jump
from a wobbly rocket to a space rock...

[Anthony] Oh!

Anthony's bossed on.

Okay.

Okay.

Now I'm slimy, I got lava,

and this course
is a worthy adversary as well.

There's no denying it.

And you, Anthony,
are a worthy competitor.

Respect all around.

That's a really big jump.

Can we go flat Earth?

Anthony sizing up the three-foot jump

to the very slippery flat Earth.

[Anthony groans]

He's on, but it's a hard landing.

What would you do?

His teammates gone,
loneliness taking its toll on Anthony,

asking inanimate objects for help.

You're no help. All right.

If I fall in, you know what?
That sucks, but I gave it my all.

And you be quiet. You be quiet.
All right. Here we go.

Here we go. Ready?

He's made it!

Wait. Oh, no.

Oh, no!

Down goes Anthony into the lava,

which is still better than trying
to swim in the Charles.

[Rutledge chuckles]

-I thought we were gonna make it.
-I really thought we would.

I don't think Tom Brady
would ask for an apology.

I think Tom would say, "Study,
and do better next time," and that's it.

You guys want to take this
to Dunkin' Donuts?

-Yeah. Let's get coffee.
-Sounds good. Let's do that.

[Chris] Let's go to Dunks. Come on.

And with that, the boys from Boston

will almost certainly head back
to Title Town without a title.

Our second team
is making this a family affair.

Say hello to David, Stacy and Mike.
The Siblings.

I'm the oldest, Mike's the youngest,
Stacy's in the middle.

Somewhere in the middle.

[Mike] We have 30 grandchildren
in our family.

Six of them are my children.

Six of them are mine.

And none of them are mine.

[both laugh]

Dave's the resident athlete in our family.
Dave was an all-American in college.

[Stacy] David definitely is
the strongest, physically.

There's no doubt about that.

As far as the weakest link...

This guy, right here.

[all laugh]

[Mike] We get together
once a month, as a family.

So with 30 little kids running around,
it is pure, complete chaos.

Chaos.

So, jumping from thing to thing,

we've got a lot of experience
with that sort of thing. Ready? Ready?

[all] Run, run, run. Go team!

-Do you want me to get started?
-[both] Yeah, you go.

-I feel better about that.
-Okay, you got this, David.

David, taking the same route
as the Bostonians.

Hopefully, with better results.

-Come on, Dave, you got this.

[Mike] There you go.

[Stacy]
He looks like he's doing pretty well.

Already feel good about that.

David's stretching out.

Remember, he was
an all-American first baseman,

but that was in another galaxy...

Okay, this is a solid path here, guys.

And he's safe.

I don't know if I want to...
I think I'm just going to go for it.

Oh, flopping hard onto Neptune.

-Now, what are you going to do?
-[Stacy] I'm gonna jump onto that.

[Mike] Be careful. It looks slick.

It's no conspiracy theory, it is slick.

As we've seen in other episodes,
this jump to the flat Earth is no joke.

Oh! You got it.

Although it can be funny. Ooh.

Stacy, this is epic.

-Is this really your plan?
-[Stacy vocalizing]

What about coming over here instead?

I feel better about this.

-I feel I can do it.
-All right.

-[David] Like a boss!
-[Mike] We're halfway there, baby.

-Go to that one.
-Mike, where are you going?

-[David] Is that still your plan?

Or are you going to go to that one?

[Mike groans]

Mike, following
in his sister's belly flopsteps.

-Okay. I'm going.

[both] Whoa!

And she's across.

The middle child,
now ahead of her siblings.

Are we ready for the button?

Oh, no. David looking very tempted
by that big red button,

which he absolutely should not push.

Oh, no!

They made the same mistake
as the Bostonians.

Lava is everywhere.

Okay, so, that was wrong.

-That's a moot point.
-All right. Hey, I'm going.

All-American athlete David
is going to try and make things right

by getting onto that rocket.

-Okay, come on, David, you got this.
-Come on, Dave.

[Stacy] Oh, my gosh.

[Mike] Come on, Dave.

Would you look at this guy?

[Stacy] Look at that.

That's that first baseman
doing the splits.

"First baseman"?
More like "first spaceman."

-[Stacy] Now, can you traverse?
-Probably.

-Do you wanna...
-[David] What's next? What's your plan?

[Mike] I don't know.

Wait, one at a time.
Let's get David over here with me.

Okay.

Four feet of lava
separate David from his sister.

He's on! And what great teamwork!

-Okay, if I die... I love you.
-[David] No.

[Stacy] You got this, Mike.
You can do it.

Mike's on,
using his brother's hand as a backstop!

Teamwork making the dream work.

Go for that, and Dave will support you

-and lift you onto it.
-Here we go.

[Stacy] Can I just reach
or should I jump?

[David] Just step your foot out there.

I'll spot you.

[all] Whoa!

Okay, pull me back.

David!

[Stacy screams]

Oh, my gosh.
Can I choose a different route?

David's hand, the family tie
that stopped her from kissing lava.

So close to disaster.

Should I try from this
and then try and steady it?

All right, do it, Mike.

Hey, here we go.

[Mike groans]

The moon may have lighter gravity,

but that was a very heavy landing.

[Stacy]
Okay, Mike, you get to that big rock.

That's a big... That is a big jump.

It is a big jump.

The average German Shepherd
is three feet long.

This is a six-foot jump.

That's like jumping over
two German Shepherds!

Okay, here we go.

You got this.

-Yeah! Mike! Whoo!
-[David] Okay.

What an outstanding effort.

The little brother doing a very big jump.

-Good boy!
-Yeah! Mike!

There you go.

[Stacy]
You got it, Dave. Just do it.

[Mike] There you go.
There you go, Dave.

David, using the patented
family flop to get across.

They've all done it.

[Stacy screams]

They've discovered the key
to the course, sacrificing your stomach.

[both groaning]

But you know
who didn't figure it out?

[groans]

The Bostonians.

You got it, Dave. Let's go.

And then jump and put all your force down.

Little brother Mike
giving his big brother some advice.

And David's across!

[David] So...

We only need one on this
and everyone else needs to go that way.

Mike's at the exact center of the course

where there is yet another
very tempting button.

[Mike] How?

Can you get a finger-hold up
there on the top?

-[Stacy] There you go.
-Okay.

-[Stacy] All right, do it.
-[buzzer sounds]

Mike hit the button,
and it turns out

this was a good big red button.

With the rocket up,
they've got exit options.

The Siblings could go toward
the tippy telescope,

and then onto the rocket,
but that requires balance.

Or they may seek
the more direct route over the rocks,

but that calls for some tricky leaps.

Tippy or tricky? The ultimate quandary.

Hey.

-[Stacy] Okay.
-You good?

[Stacy] I'm good. You go that way, Dave.

[Michael] There you go.

Dave, carefully spinning around
to get his foot onto the telescope.

The bottom stair
is almost completely submerged.

Set phasers to "hurry."

These stairs are coming down.
We gotta hurry.

-[David] We're running out of time.
-[Stacy] Yeah, let's go.

You good? All right, bear hug it.
Stace, come over here by me.

FYI, that telescope
is known as the tippy telescope.

Of course, David doesn't know that yet.

[Stacy] Yes.
You're almost there.

What? God, it's moving.

[chuckles]

David riding that telescope
like a rodeo champion.

That looks like it was his first time
on a mechanical bull,

but judging by that happy face,
it won't be his last.

[Stacy] Will that move towards you?

David, stepping out onto the rocket.

And once again he's doing a great job
of somehow avoiding jumps.

Those long legs just stretching across.

[Mike] There you go, Dave.

[Stacy] Wow, nice. That's where
that height comes into play.

Okay, Stace.
I'm gonna go on this now.

Okay, I got it. I'm holding on.

Okay, here we go. Ready? I'm gonna go.

Mike, making his way off the capsule,

and look how much it swings
when he gets off.

Stacy is now a cling-on.

Hey, those steps are leaving.
We gotta hurry.

You guys go.

Oh, the bottom step
is completely gone.

And the top step is on its way down!
There's not much left!

I'm going to take one step,
and then jump off it.

Mike, contemplating a tricky combo jump

from the rock to the rocket to the exit.

Do it.

I don't know about this.

The top step is still barely up.

If Mike can get there, he'll be safe.

Okay, here we go.

-[all] Yeah!
-He's done it!

-[all cheering]
-[Mike] Yes! Yes! Ah!

[Mike screams]

A very impressive jump,
but something even more impressive?

Look at Stacy's celebration.

Oh, that is one very happy sister.

I think I want to go to the rock first.

[Mike] You can make the jump.

Oh.

There you go. Come on.

Attaboy, Dave!

-[Stacy whooping]
-And Dave's over!

And now only Stacy
is left out in the room.

Can The Siblings
make a perfect score of three across?

[Mike] Oh, no, Stace! No! No!

[dramatic music playing]

Stacy had a nice lift off,
but without Mike as a counter balance,

the capsule jettisoned her,
and she could not get across.

No, Stace!

No!

It's the ultimate
in middle child syndrome

as she literally disappears
into the background.

-No!
-It's okay. We have two other sisters.

That's all right.
We got two other sisters.

Well, that's the advantage
of a big family.

It's sibling revelry as they move
into first place with two points

and officially eliminate the Bostonians.

But there's still one team left to go.

Our third team
has definitely come to play.

Say hello to three gamer girls.

Tiera, Kaba and Diamond.
The Tri Force Heroes.

Wisdom!

Courage!

Power!

Tri Force Heroes!

We're the Tri Force Heroes because
we're gamers who obviously love Zelda.

-We love playing video games so much.
-We love it.

-Video games are our lives.
-It's in our blood.

[Kaba] We play all the time.
We just love it.

-It's our jam.
-Games are our life.

This will absolutely give us an advantage

because we play games
with lava all the time.

Saving princesses? Lava.

That's what we do,
so this is going to be a breeze for us.

[chuckles]

We join the Tri Force Heroes
with their run already in progress.

So far, Tiera has managed to push
the button that coats the course in lava.

[buzzer sounds]

[slow motion] Oh, no.

Diamond has made it to Uranus,
so congratulations are in order there.

And Kaba just made it to Neptune.

You're coming back?
You don't want to stay there?

I don't know. What should I do?

Um...

If they can get all three
players across, they'll win outright,

but they'll have to channel
their inner Link to do it.

We gotta make some moves, guys.

Who wants to go next?

Okay, I'm coming back.

[Diamond] It's okay, you got this.
You did it once. You can do it again.

Not with slippery hands, I didn't.

[Diamond] Wipe 'em off on your pants.

-Okay.

Diamond's got
a five-foot jump to Jupiter.

-But it looks so slippery.
-Okay, I'm gonna jump.

Heck no. Okay.

Be careful.

Ooh.

My hands are slippery.

To that rock.

-You got this.
-You got it.

Oh, my God.

[all scream] No!

No! Game over for Diamond.

No!

A valiant attempt to hold on,
but Jupiter is an unforgiving planet.

If only Diamond could have hit up, up,
down, down, left, right, left, right,

down, down, B, A, start,
before attempting this.

But down she goes,
and there's no respawning in this game.

Diamond may be out,

but the Tri Force Heroes
still have two lives left.

They can still win if both Kaba and Tiera
get across faster than The Siblings did.

Kaba. What are we gonna do?

I'm gonna try to do this.

But Kaba is facing
a boss-level jump.

So far, only The Siblings
have even attempted it.

Stacy made it, but only barely.
And Michael needed a hand.

Courage.

Okay, ready?

Yeah.

Count me down.

[Tiera] Okay. One... two... three!

Whoo!

Kaba's made it,

only to be rewarded by a face
full of lava.

Okay.

Tiera's back to the exact
same place she started.

They're definitely running behind
The Siblings' time now.

They have to hurry.

Okay, be careful. It's slippery...

[Tiera squeals]

...or hot.

T, you got it. Pull up. Pull up.

Okay, can you get over there?

That looks hard.

It is hard.
We're talking Dark Souls hard.

-Don't think about it too much.

Don't over-jump though.
Just take your time. One leg.

Yeah.

If this were a video game,
she'd have leveled up.

[video game bleeping]

Kaba, wait. How did you...
Did you like... What did you do?

I just jumped with my feet.

You were standing up?

I stood up and I jumped down with my feet.

Little known fact,

jumping with your feet
is the best way to jump.

Okay, I'm waiting for you to get there.
Do you want me to count you down?

Tiera facing the trip to the flat Earth.

OMG!

Bend down a little.
Maybe that'll help.

And then just try to, like, you know...

[Tiera screams]

And with that fall,
the Tri Force Heroes' chances of victory

slip away into the lava.

[Tiera screams]

Which means that
the Siblings have no rival,

and with two points, are our winners.

$10,000 and
a triumphant Volcano of Victory

await the fearless family.

-Congratulations!
-[all cheering]

-That's great.

-[Mike] No way.

Fabulous.

-That's not all.

which I know you three will fight over.
