01x04 - Jealousy Has Consequences

Post by bunniefuu »

Hey, you guys.

I feel like I've gained a lot more
confidence since arriving here,

but this program is really intense.

And sometimes the old Kyra creeps back in
with all that annoying self-doubt.

And with the scholarships up for grabs,

I guess a little bit
of internal competition does make sense,

but I hope it's less every girl
for herself once the final six are chosen.

I love you all.

Keep your videos coming,
and I'll see you soon.

Bye!

[upbeat theme music playing]

[dance music plays over laptop]

Oh, hey, Scarlett.

Oh! Katelyn Ohashi!

[whoosh] What a gymnast.

[audience cheering]

Her choreography is awesome.

[Scarlett] Yeah.

She's amazing.

[dance music continues playing]

[audience cheering]

Why don't you try reaching out to her?

She might give you some tips
on your choreography.

Really? She would never reply to me.

Never know if you never try.

[Jason] Maddy, come on.
We've had this discussion.

You said you were going to try and make
more time for us, but honestly, lately,

it's been worse than that.

You're devoting way more time
here at the academy.

You've got your own
training sessions as well.

- I just want to spend time with you, babe.
- I know!

But the girls are improving so much, and
we've got the academy comp coming up.

That's where the scholarships are awarded.

I've got to help them.

It's what I was hired to do.

And, yeah, I haven't given up
my own dream at the Olympics.

This is my last chance at it.
Why don't you understand that?

I've got to give it everything I've got.

I know, but, I mean,
you do realize that you're...

you're training up your own competition
for the next Olympics.

I mean, that's like...

You might want to rethink that.

Hey, hey, I'm sorry. Come on.

Don't tell me you can't make time
for dinner away from the gym.
