Previously on School Spirits...

What's going on?

[Maddie screams]

Nothing.

There are spirits further down,

older than us.

They are truly stuck here.

If they tear down the school,
ghosts here are here forever.

Their only option
is crossing over.

[Wally] I got my door. Okay?

this guy will do to you, Maddie.

-He could be dangerous.
-And let me guess,

you don't want your best friend
to do something dangerous?

No, I don't.

[Maddie] I saw him
this afternoon.

He didn't do anything then.

And honestly,
there's no one else

who can give us
the help we need.

Yes, there is.

You don't know
that this pastor has answers.

If he did,
he wouldn't be trapped.

[Simon]
He knows how this all started.

He's trying to tell me.

And what if something
with your plan goes wrong?

What if your plan doesn't work?
We can't control anything.

[Simon scoffs]

[laughs]

That's funny.

I think we both know

we're doing this.

I mean, come on.

It's you.

It's me.

[Maddie] You've saved me
over and over again, Simon.

This time I wanna save you back.

[Simon] You've already saved me
so many times

since we were nine.

[inhales deeply]

I wish we could
do this together.

I wish I could go
down there with you.

I'm scared for you.

Same.

But...

all we can do is try.

At least that part
we're doing together.

[solemn music playing]

A body snatcher.

A white-eyed monster
in the basement.

This will all be the most
hilarious story someday, right?

Someday.

But never more hilarious
than the time the milkshake

came out of your nose
at my 12th birthday.

[pensive music playing]

[engine rumbling]

[sighs]
Answering Xavier's bat call.

Yeah, just a casual school night

pursuing a demented
body snatcher.

At the place
we took hayrides as kids.

[chuckles] Diego puked
in the corn maze.

No way. You cannot come.

The less of us in danger,
the better.

Or the more of us that go,
the safer it'll be.

It's bad enough Xavier's coming.
I won't put us all at risk.

But we could help.
Why should it be him?

What, because he's a guy?

-Come on, Maddie.
-And like...

what's he gonna do
to protect you? Brood at him?

-Uh, I can hear you.
-Just saying.

Okay, I need my head
in the game. Please.

Just stay here,
and watch out for Simon.

-Who we can't see or talk to?
-We'll be back.

Hopefully
with our bodies intact.

Hopefully with more answers
on how to get Simon

and the others out of here.
