fly us across the country,

This plane will

In this challenge,

Each team must work
as a cohesive unit,

Using their
collective strength

To pull this 21,000 pound
douglas dc3 aircraft

Over 50 metres
down the tarmac.

But it's not all muscle.

A good team
strategy is key

To getting the extremely
heavy plane moving.

All four members must have
their hand on the podium

Before hitting the big red
button to stop the clock.

The fastest team earns
the most points.

Nikki:
Coaches, it's strategy time.

The clock starts now!

This is the oldest family-run
vineyard in the okanagan

And they produce 10,000
cases of wine per year.

tandem challenge

wine barrels up a hill

Across a finish line.

These challenges,

rosé roll.

In this challenge,

Each team has six empty

But extremely heavy
rosé wine barrels

Staggered throughout
a 250-metre incline

And uneven vineyard row.

Coaches and tandems
must strategize

The quickest order and methods
to move all six barrels

Up the hill without
damaging the vine.

Then the pairs must use
lower body strength,

Endurance, and teamwork
to get the barrels up

And across the finish line.

The fastest tandem wins the
most points for their team.

I drafted him

Is he's got extremely
good lower body
strength.

I underestimated the
hill in that course.

It was so gradual initially

But as soon as
you run up that,

It is a hill.

That makes a serious
difference on the hamstrings

Built by hand
over a century ago

For the
kettle valley railway.

It's now part of the
trans canada trail

And was designated a
national historic site of canada

In 2002.

Unfortunately, em has
tested positive for covid-19

And is no longer
able to compete.

Em has been such a rock,
such a competitor

But also support
for everybody.

This is pretty devastating.

It's 110-foot
climb straight up

That requires extreme
upper body strength,

nerves to deal with the height.

Once they reach the top,

They have to pull themselves
up over the railing

And hit the big red button.
