Commercial waterways
in the country

Connecting canada to
the atlantic ocean

And the wider world.

Tall ships were crucial
shipping vessels in this area.

Many ran aground and sank
in the shallow waters.

This region is now famous
for shipwreck diving.

But in this next
solo challenge,

We're not gonna make you dive
down to one of the tall ships.

We're gonna make you
swim out to one.

Craig vo:
Welcome to canada's ultimate
ship to shore!

In this solo challenge,

The tall ship fair jeanne

Is anchored 110 metres
off the dock

In the open waters of
the st. Lawrence river.

One player from each
team must dive in

And swim all the
way to the ship,

More than double the length
of an olympic size pool.

To board the ship,

They must use their
arm and core strength

To climb up the rope ladder

And hoist their team's
flag up the mast.

Then they have to swim all
the way back to the dock,

Climb up and hit
the big red button.

The fastest swimmer wins
six points for their team.

Coaches, it's strategy time.

You have five minutes
to pick who you think

Will be your strongest
player for this challenge.

The challenge is
pretty simple.

We have a gentleman who
swam the english channel.

Bradley, this is a
110 metres there,

I've never lost
a swim race in
my entire life

I wasn't privileged

But my parents let me
get to the pool every day

And I just practiced what
the swim team was doing.

This is something that I've
trained my whole life for.

confident with this challenge.

For this next
tandem challenge,

Players will race tandem
kayaks through a course

That winds through and
around the islands.

But this challenge isn't
just about kayak skills.

Strategy is key.

Teams can risk veering off
course to collect time tags

That will reduce
your overall time.

Welcome to canada's ultimate
kayak attack!

In this tandem challenge,

Players must paddle their
kayak over two kilometres

Around these islands on
the st. Lawrence river

To a turnaround point,

And then all the way
back to the finish line.

Spread throughout the
course are 10 red buoys

Each with one
yellow "time tag".

Tandems must strategize

Whether to take a
fast direct route

Or veer off course to
snag these time tags

Because each tag
will take 30 seconds

To two minutes off of
their overall time.

The team with the fastest
overall time wins six points.

Coaches, it's strategy time.

In this intense challenge,

Each team must use
fifteen wood posts

And military-style precision

To build a
self-supporting bridge

Known as a da vinci bridge.

There is an example that
teams must follow exactly

Because there's only one way
to solve this giant puzzle.

First, teams must correctly
assemble all fifteen planks

For a reticle
official to check.

If approved, they can tie their
planks together for safety.

If the official deems
their bridge safe,

They can rig it up and
transfer it across the lagoon.

One team member will
cross the bridge,

Grab a 15 pound rucksack
and cross back over.

Teams have one hour to
complete the challenge.

All four members must
hit the big red button.

The fastest team
wins six points.
