The ontario mine rescue
has been a standard
In rescue and training
across the world.
This team challenge is not
for the faint of heart.
Players, you will be tested
mentally and physically
In a simulated
dangerous mine rescue.

In this intense

In full safety gear
And oxygen tanks that
weigh over 50 pounds,
Players must
descend into a mine
To execute a harrowing mine
rescue 750 metres underground.
First, they must retrieve
a halligan crowbar
And a fire extinguisher
Before they locate
the electrical room.
Then they must use
the proper technique
To insert the crowbar
at the exact right angle
To pry open the door.
Once inside, they must
extinguish a simulated fire
To rescue a 180 pound dummy
And carry it back
up to the surface.
Coaches can track their
team's progress on a tablet
And communicate where the
tools are with a two-way radio,
But won't be able to
see what's happening.
Players have to battle
darkness, claustrophobia
And rising body temperatures.
If a player removes
any safety gear,
Their team is disqualified.

of the semi-finals,
We move to the shores of
beautiful lake ramsey
In sudbury.
All three teams are
tied with ten points.

We've been neck and neck
with teams all along.
That consistency is
going to pay off.

three teams tied,
The pressure is
definitely on.

Knowing that we got last
place in the last challenge,
It's hard to bring
yourself back mentally
To try to get first place.

This last obstacle

Players, to get to
the championship
You'll have to harness the
super-fast, 230 horsepower
Sea-doo wake pro.
But this tandem challenge
isn't only about speed,
It's about handling,
Precision and control
Both on the sea-doo
And on a tube behind it.
Ooh.
Nikki:
And coaches,
You'll be in on the
action as well
Coaching from the back
of the sea-doo wake pro.

Welcome to canada's ultimate
sea-doo slalom.
[contestants applauding]
Craig vo:
In this tandem challenge,
One team member must
manoeuvre a supercharged
Sea-doo wake pro
Through an intricate
slalom course
With speed and
precision handling,
While towing their
teammate behind on a tube.
The clock starts as teams
pass through the arch.
The tuber's arm strength
and full-body stability
Are put to the test
As they're whipped around
three 360 degree turns,
A curved slalom,
another 360,
And one final turn
before the finish line.
If a team misses any
part of the course
Or if the tuber falls off,
The team's run
is disqualified.
Each team gets three
attempts at the course,
But only their
fastest run counts.
Coaches will ride on the
back of the sea-doo wake pro
To instruct their tandem.
The fastest team
gets six points.

To determine the order
of the challenge.

I have no experience
in the water

And I know who can and

Kish:

I'm fine setting the tone.
It's, uh, no skin

Yeah, there's some tension

I mean, we're in

or a motorcycle before?

So I think I'm

-Kenny: Once in my life.

I wanna say these two girls
Just 'cause the climbing
and the grip strength.
I think it's gonna
require a lot.

Yeah, I'm up for it.
You've been tubing?
Yep. Not-not in
a while though,

Dustin, he has so much
experience on the tube.
We just gotta figure out
the driving part of it.
I don't tow a lot,
but I boat a lot.

The sharper you turn,

So that they would have to

a controlled approach.

as soon as it hits the wake.
So you need to keep your

have ended our journey
But everybody

Definitely have learned a

I'm going to be a much bigger
person, um, from this experience
And I'm very grateful.
I've really grown as a
person in a lot of ways,
Shown that I can be a leader
and I can be also coachable.
And yeah, I really
thank jen for that.
