[Demon Lord grunts]

[Max grunts]

- It's over, Max!

Infinity Oblivion Nebula!

Wheel of Chaos Theory!

Ha ha! That ball is now in

a swirling galactic vortex!

Once released from the bonds

of its mathematical trajectory

it shall become a comet

and fly past you!

- To the right!

- Too bad!

Wrong way, Max!

Victory is mine.

You were destined to

buy me that iced coffee

from the very beginning.

What? He managed to hit it!

And he utilized the momentum

from the nebulous rotation!

It matters not!

This is child's play

for one such as I!

[ping pong ball cracks]

Oh man. Looks like we

broke another one.

- They just don't make 'em

strong enough.

["One Room Adventure"

by MADKID plays]

[insects chirp]

[gentle music]

- Ah. Worked up a

nice sweat, didn't we?

- Mhm. Sure did.

- Hmm

This water sure does

feel fantastic.

I guess I've gotten used to

that tiny bathroom of yours.

I can stretch my legs out.

Aren't you glad we came?

- I guess so.

- [Demon Lord] Max,

are you out there?

- Yeah. Who do you think

you were talking to?

- [Demon Lord] Can you hand me

one of the big towels?

I forgot to grab one.

- [Max] Sure.

I'm leaving it outside the door.

- [Demon Lord] Oh. Can you

bring it to me instead?

[Max groans]

I'm going to get the floor

all wet if I walk out there.

Please?

- Fine. Whatever.

I'm coming in.

- Okay.

Great. Thanks a whole bunch Max.

- Yeah, yeah.

- Come on!

Ah!

- Knock it off.

[both snoring]

[crowd chattering]

- I'll pass, thanks.

- Oh man. I had a total blast.

- Remind me why we

came here again?

- Attention all pedestrians.

An urgent message direct

from the Republic Patrol.

We are restricting access

to the area surrounding

the Beskar Kingdom-Gamma

Republic border.

- Isn't she the lady

from before?

- Your cooperation

is appreciated.

Please note that

all public transit

outside the restricted zone,

including airship and

water transport,

are operating as normal.

The Republic Patrol thanks you

for your understanding.

- It looks like she didn't

spot us over here.

- Of course she didn't.

- The area near the border.

Wait, that must mean they're

fighting with the Kingdom again.

- Hope everything's okay.

It makes me nervous.

- Do you think there's

about to be a battle?

- Things could get ugly.

We oughta skedaddle.

[vendor laughs]

- Whoa!

- You again?

- [Vendor] You two don't need

to worry about a thing.

This happens all the time.

They're always getting

into little spats

with each other at the border.

Oh, hey, here, you kids

have a free sample.

Look around!

All us locals and gift shop

employees are cool as cucumbers.

We're used to this stuff by now.

- Oh, she's got a point.

- Getting used to big fights

is not really a good thing.

- Hey, we could use this

to our advantage.

Yes. Alright, let's head

for the border.

- Ah!

The hell are you talking about?

- This is the

perfect opportunity

to see both the Kingdom's

and the Republic's

military capabilities.

And now that I think about it,

we haven't done any sort of

reconnaissance so far.

- [Max] Knock yourself out!

You have fun!

I am going home.

[Demon Lord laughs]

- But I'm the one who

has our return tickets.

Oh, and guess what else, Max?

I'm the only one who is able to

teleport us back home. So there.

- [Max] God, I hate you.

Alright, how do you plan on

getting to the border?

Don't tell me you're gonna try

and walk through

the restricted zone.

- Just leave that part to me.

- Say cheese!

Huh?

[Demon Lord laughs]

- I've got some extra pep

in my step today.

Must have been that hot spring!

At this rate, we'll make it

to the border in no time.

[Demon Lord laughs]

Huh?

[Max yells]

You're too heavy!

[Max crashes]

Ugh, I'm exhausted!

You're not exactly

the lightest passenger.

All I ever see you do

is pig out.

I mean, look how pudgy

you are nowadays.

- 'Cause I been eatin' good

That's your fault.

You know I'm right.

- That stone wall

must be the border.

Ha, we might as well sit back

and enjoy the free show, eh?

Let's see how it plays out.

- Fire!

- Same strategy as always,

I see.

- Looks like it.

That's why I went ahead and

sent the boss out

fishing instead.

- Getting him involved

just makes it more dangerous

for everyone.

Return fire!

- Eat this!

[soldiers groan]

- Come on, men! Hang in there!

[soldier snores]

Huh?

- What sort of toys are those?

- Tactical weapons

that expel magic.

Humans who aren't capable

of wielding magic

can use 'em to help the fight.

[electricity crackles]

- Neither side is making

any headway at all.

They look like children

on a playground.

If it were my demonic army

fighting out there,

they would've blown that wall

sky high by now.

- True. The Republic is

one thing,

but I find it hard to believe

the Kingdom's magic weapons

can't obliterate a wall

like that.

- Our a*tillery is

proving ineffective.

- I can see that.

God damn it.

- There's a possibility

they've cast

an advanced defensive spell

around the wall.

- Impossible. They don't have a

mage with enough skill for that.

- [Vodka] Perhaps they've

attached some sort

of magical device to it.

They already possess magical

bombs loaded with sleeping

and paralysis spells,

which are also worrisome.

But it would appear they're

doing everything they can

to avoid using lethal force.

- [Galmoff] What are you

getting at?

- Nothing. It's just we're not

going to make much progress

if we keep sh**ting at

each other like this.

Hmm.

I have an idea.

- What is it?

- Hmm

Huh?

Looks like they're retreating.

Really nice work, Denetra.

- [Denetra] That was

a piece of cake.

- Is anyone hurt or injured?

- [Will] Nah. We're all good.

So what's the plan now?

- We stay here and stand guard,

at least until tomorrow.

And we should update

the boss on the situation.

[expl*si*n blasts]

- What the?

- Snap out of it, Will!

Stay low and get ready.

- Do not panic.

I'll stop the bleeding.

[expl*si*n blasts]

Ah! My hair! Not my hair!

[Anego groans]

- [Anego] How in the hell?

They actually got through?

- [Galmoff] Well,

did you k*ll 'em?

- [Vodka] I grazed

one of them on the arm.

- Then hurry and fire again.

Don't let them get away.

- Please let me

concentrate, sir.

Penetrating the defensive

barrier around that wall

requires considerable amount

of magic on my part.

If they flee their stronghold,

they'll be leaving it empty.

We can take our time destroying

the wall and filling the moat.

[expl*si*n blasts]

- Oh, now that right there was

a brilliant display of magic!

It appears they have a

talented mage in their ranks.

Things are finally

getting interesting.

- He's here.

- Yes indeed. He sure is.

What are you looking at

over there?

[dramatic music]

- [Vodka] Is that?

- It's the boss man!

- It's the boss man!

- Leo!

- Leo!

- Ha! It's the man himself!

- Can't the guy put on some

damn clothes for once?

- [Leo] Could've sworn I sensed

a demonic presence in the air.

Maybe I was worried

for no reason.

- Holy sh*t!

It's General Leo!

- What are you

waiting for, soldier?

Prepare to fire.

- I promise you one thing.

[Leo groans]

You won't get away with this.

[Leo groans]

There's no way!

[soldiers yell]

- Ha ha! Nice one guys!

Go get him!

- Not exactly

what I'd call subtle.

[rock music]

- Well, that's Leo for you.

- Awesome.

- He didn't even use

magic, did he?

- [Galmoff] You're a monster.

- Captain Galmoff.

During my time in

the Royal Army,

it was a pleasure

serving with you.

But if this is how

the Army intends to behave

while engaging us,

we have no choice

but to put our foot down.

- Resistance is futile.

The Kingdom will stop at nothing

and we will continue

with our operation.

I'm afraid the

peaceful negotiations

you so delusively desire

will never come to pass.

- You are the one who

taught me this, Captain!

That no matter how long

or how difficult,

surrender is never an option!

[expl*si*n blasts]

[all gasp]

[Demon Lord gasps]

- Do you have any clue at all

how much the chief secretary

is suffering because of you?

You are his own

personal nightmare!

I will get rid of you

once and for all!

Huh?

- [Will] Didn't he

get shot a second ago?

- [Denetra] Hit him

right in the throat!

- Deliver a message

to Fred for me:

"Let's have a big

heart to heart.

So that no one has to suffer

any longer from all of this."

[Vodka groans]

Now then, Captain,

I'm gonna need you to

withdraw your troops.

Get outta my sight!

[tense music]

- [Republic Crew] Hey boss!

- What happened, Anego?

Did you get hurt?

Are you okay?

- A-okay!

Just grazed me. That's all.

- Don't move.

You'll make it worse.

- Are you sure you're all right?

- [Anego] I'm fine. No biggie.

- Thanks, big boss man.

We didn't even get a

chance to call you,

but you still showed up anyway.

- Yeah. I just couldn't

shake this feeling

that there was an ominous

demonic presence around.

- Demonic presence?

Maybe it was that

annoying mage of theirs.

You know the one, baldy-locks.

- Could be, but I'm not sure.

It might've been my imagination.

- Well, all in all,

it worked out well in the end.

[Leo laughs]

- Is that a new look

you're going for?

- Hey, don't make fun of me!

- [Anego] You look

better than before.

I'd lose the glasses though.

- Ugh!

Incredible!

And skillfully done.

I knew Leo could do it.

That's the kind of

strength you need

if you wanna lead a country.

- Maybe lower your

standards a little.

- [Demon Lord] This just

serves as another reminder

as to why the Gamma Republic

is able to stand its ground

against the Kingdom.

- Yeah. Well, on the

other side of all that,

it's obvious Leo's the only

source of strength they've got.

How long can they keep it up?

- What do you think

having seen Leo in action?

If you tried to fight him

right now, would you win?

- [Max] Don't be ridiculous.

I ain't a match for someone

like him anymore.

- Oh really?

- [Max] Is that it?

You seen enough?

We should be heading home soon.

- Yeah, you're right.

I got to see Leo's fighting

style with my own eyes.

So I suppose we can pack it up.

You should be grateful.

Thanks to my handy

little teleporter,

we'll be home in a Jiffy.

Got all your things?

- I told you I'm good to go.

- Then come a bit closer.

Teleport!

[Leo grunts]

[Demon Lord screams]

- Hurry! Teleport us!

He's after us!

- What the heck just happened?

- [Max] Leo spotted us!

Do the teleport thing!

Do it now!

- [Demon Lord] Oh wait,

I need a minute. I gotta focus.

- [Leo] Get back here!

- Oh God. He's coming for us!

- That nauseating

demonic presence.

Who are you and

why are you here?

You work for the Demon Lord,

don't you!

- [Max] I can't outrun him.

- That was a wise decision.

Pretty light on your feet,

aren't ya?

Who are you?

- Huh?

- [Demon Lord] It's your

disguise, Max.

It's gotta be the reason

Leo has yet to realize

who you are.

- [Max] Oh yeah.

I completely forgot.

Wait, how are you doing that?

Have you had telepathic powers

this whole damn time?

- [Demon Lord] Well, yeah. Duh!

You don't want Leo to

overhear us, do you?

- Is there a problem?

I seem to remember

asking you a damn question.

If I had to guess, you two are

probably spies for the Kingdom.

- [Demon Lord] Come up

with something. Hurry!

- Oh, dear me. Don't be absurd!

We are but to innocent

passers-by, I assure you.

- [Demon Lord] Oh my God!

You're terrible at this!

- [Max] Shut up. The hell else

do you want me to say?

- Oh, is that so?

The road to the border is

supposed to be closed off

to everyone right now.

- [Demon Lord] What?

Did that just work?

- Well, to be honest,

it doesn't really matter

who you are, actually.

The problem is that thing.

It may look like a child,

but I know what I felt!

An infinite evil, demonic power.

- Whatever do you mean,

young man?

This little pip squeak

is my precious daughter.

- Goo, ga ga.

- What, sweetheart?

- You brought a demon

to the border.

Just what in the hell

are you up to?

If you continue to play

innocent, I'll show no mercy.

- [Demon Lord] We need a plan.

- Look, I'll make you a deal.

I want you to hand over

the demon right now.

You do that much for me,

I'll let you leave unharmed.

[gentle music]

- [Demon Lord] Max,

just do whatever he says.

Don't worry, I've got

my teleportal.

I can always wait for an opening

and then slip away.

- [Max] An opening?

You think he's dumb enough

to let his guard down?

- [Demon Lord] It's fine.

Worst case scenario,

we demons can be resurrected.

It's not that big a deal.

- [Max] You make a good point.

- [Demon Lord] Go on,

hand me over to him.

It's more important

that you escape.

- No can do.

Who would take orders from

a smelly hippie like you?

Not this dude.

- Oh, I like you.

- [Max] I can buy you

ten seconds.

Use it to focus and finish

your teleportation spell.

- I knew it!

You're no ordinary man!

- [Max] Whatever happens,

do not stop casting that spell.

Do it! Let's go!

[Leo grunts]

- [Demon Lord] No matter

what happens,

I cannot stop, no matter what!

- Oh, you sneaky sneaker!

[dramatic music]

[Max grunts]

Huh?

[Leo yells]

You are mine!

Huh?

What's going on?

You're dodging all my attacks.

Seriously, who are you, bro?

- You still haven't figured

it out? Are you kidding me?

- [Demon Lord] It's ready, Max!

- Perfect!

- What's that? Did it say Max?

- [Max] You freaking moron!

Don't say my name!

- [Demon Lord] Whoops. My bad!

- So it's you!

Geez, Max!

Now it all makes sense!

- Let's amscray!

- Hold it, Max!

What the hell are you doing?

Why are you here?

And why in the world are you

hanging out with the demon?

- Sorry, but that's personal.

No comment. I'm afraid.

So, it's been a while.

Glad you're doing so well.

- Hm.

Well, hell.

I should've known

from the beginning.

Of course.

Was my boy Max all along.

Well, I'll be damned.

[Leo laughs]

[Demon Lord screams]

[Max screams]

- I need a freaking nap.

- At least we made it back.

- [Ghost] Ow, that sh*t

really hurt.

- [Max] Well, we managed to

get out of there in one piece.

Didn't realize I missed it

here so much.

- That Leo Sure was

something else, wasn't he?

- [Max] Yep.

- But hey, you totally

stood your ground out there.

I thought it was

a spectacular fight.

- [Max] Oh yeah?

- And

[gentle music]

The hot spring was

pretty nice, too.

- Huh?

Sure.

What's the matter, milord?

Got something on your mind?

- [Demon Lord] Um, Max?

- [Max] Don't just stare at me

with your creepy forehead eye.

Spit it out.

- [Demon Lord] You

protected me back there.

So, uh

Thanks.

- Hm?

[Max chuckles]

Forget about it.

- But don't you get

the wrong idea, though.

Even if I had been alone,

I would've escaped easily!

- Hmm. Yeah. Whatever.

- [Ghost] I'll k*ll

both of you, b*stards.

Fix the g*dd*mn door.

[Demon Lord laughs]

- I gotta admit, in retrospect,

that was a pretty fun

vacation, right?

- Oh, gimme a break.

It ain't ever happening again.

- [Demon Lord] Not in

the busy season, at least.

[both laugh]
