[Chris] A cool breeze
outside of the Gladiator Arena tonight,

but inside the heat is on.

[energetic rock music playing]

It's the last round
of the American Gladiator semifinals.

Gladiator Arena!

Are you ready to see
some more semifinals action?

[crowd cheering and roaring]

[Rocsi] Alright, here we go.

Our events tonight are putting a big,
buff exclamation mark on your semifinals.

Let's just go ahead
and hand it over to Chris Rose

to tell us all
about tonight's points spread. Chris?

[Chris] Well, tonight
it all comes down to this.

One final shot to make it to the finals.
The points have never mattered more.

Let's go to the bracket
and see where we stand.

Last night, we saw Ben move on
in the men's heat,

while Bailey moved on in the women's heat.

Now, we're down
to the final bracket of the semifinals.

Austin and Kyle are set on the men's side.

Austin Liu, the man who works
in motion caps.

He's doing this
for his mom and his entire family.

And Kyle Bernier told us
he dreamed of this opportunity.

And after an injury,
he came in as an alternate

and it opened the door
for one more chance to compete.

And he says that 100 grand would help
support his three-year-old son, Maverick.

On the women's side,
we have an update to the bracket.

Rebecca Clements, the circus performer

who has made the most
of her wild card opportunity,

has a new opponent.

Jordan, our baker
from the state of Michigan,

has to unfortunately withdraw
from the competition due to injury.

[Chris] Under 20 to go!

-And that'll do it!
-[whistle blowing]

Looks like she took it
a little hard on that left arm.

So, with the next fastest Eliminator time,
it's going to be Terri Bell,

the Army veteran replacing her tonight
against Rebecca Clements.

Here's what she had to say about it.

I get another chance?
This is my dream come true.

There's no hesitation, I'm taking it all.

[Chris] Neither Terri Bell
nor Rebecca Clements

were supposed to be here.

In a true twist of fate and luck.

Both got the call
after injuries opened the door

and suddenly that enabled not one,

but two semifinalists
to get a second chance showdown.

Anything can happen
in the Gladiator Arena.

At stake, $100,000.

A trophy and the kind of glory
only American Gladiators can deliver.

They'll be joining Evan,
Ayonna, Ben, and Bailey,

who have already locked in their spots.

Two final openings,

Rocsi, tell us about this souped-up
semifinals edition

of Atlasphere's Crash Course.

Atlasphere Crash Course.

Two contenders race their spheres
toward the finish line

with gladiators ready to smash,
bash and derail their dreams.

First to cross gets ten points.

After that, the second contender has
ten seconds to finish for five points.

Run out of time,
you roll away with nothing.

[Chris] Kyle left his regular day job
to start a business.

It hasn't gone as well as he had hoped.

So he said the $100,000 would be huge,

not only for his business, but it'd help
support his three-year-old son.

[Kyle] This isn't just
a game show for me. This is real.

Would you win if you were on the show?
You would win?

I believe you would win
because you're super strong.

I'm doing this for my son.

I just want him to have
a sense of pride in his father, and...

I heard a lot of people get emotional.
I didn't think I would.

And then for myself as well.

I just want to prove to myself that I can
do what I believe I'm capable of.

My parents are both
professional bodybuilders.

My mom had more success in it
I think than my dad.

She actually had me and then,
nine months later, competed.

Very impressive.

And so, I decided to pursue
a fitness business

and gave literally my life
to it for 12 years.

Working in restaurants
at night to make money,

and then training during the day.

I fail a lot. I succeed a lot.
But I'm committed to the process.

It's been a season to say the least.

Being able to win this competition
would mean the world.

This time when you reach your arms,
reach way out in front of you.

I want my son to see
that you have to be willing to take risks.

You have to be willing to bet on yourself.

This is when hard work
and opportunity collide.

He's very, very frightening.
It's Lightning!

[Rocsi] Lightning! At 6'5", 250 pounds,

this D1 athlete hits harder
than your morning espresso.

He's man's best friend,
but definitely not yours, it's Fang!

[roars]

[Rocsi] Fang's dreamed of this
since he was a kid.

And now,
this pro wrestler's finally in the cage.

[roars]

And, of course,
we've got our head referee,

Thomas Taylor, on the floor
with Robin Delorenzo and Mike Sydara.

Thomas, take it away!

Contenders, ready!

Both Austin and Kyle did Atlasphere
in the prelims, but not Crash Course.

One of them is guaranteed ten points.

Gladiators, ready!

[cheers]

Let's go! No getting through me!

[barks]

[crowd barking]

The entire crowd is barking like Fang.

[Thomas and crowd] Three, two, one!

[whistle blowing]

[Chris] Kyle said he actually is going
to give Austin the lead

because he wants the first gladiator
to hit him out of the gate.

Lightning being patient.
He has to stay in his zone.

And actually Kyle has the inside track.
And Lightning connects on both.

But Austin is going
to get the outside edge,

and he'll have the early lead.

Remember, it's two laps around the track.

Whoever finishes first gets 10 points.

Kyle trying to make it around the edge.

[Fang] Where are you going?

[Chris] And Fang nails him
into the barrier.

We're one lap in and all of this
is great. We're even-steven.

Kyle continuing on.
He's now got the lead over Austin,

but he's got Lightning
waiting for him in his zone.

Here comes Lightning.
There's got-- [exclaims]

Austin trailing by
about ten feet behind Kyle.

Kyle trying to move in the inside.

Austin going to the outside.
Lightning and Austin.

Double trouble. Fang is actually
hanging out at the finish line,

saying, "I am going to stop
somebody's progress."

Probably in many fewer words.

Fang! Stops Kyle.

Here comes Austin.
Whoever crosses first gets ten points.

We got a three-car pileup.

Kyle crosses first. He gets ten.

Austin has ten seconds to get across.
And he does. He picks up five points.

[whistle blowing]

Great strategy used,
not only by both contenders,

but fascinating developments
out of the gladiators as well.

[barks]

[crowd barking]

Get this collar off of me!

[Chris] Crash Course was
a tight one in the men's heat.

Fang played defense
right at the finish line,

but Kyle squeezed through
just a couple of ticks ahead of Austin.

Both competitors getting points.
Kyle takes it 10-5.

Kyle, Austin, come on over!

[Rocsi] Amazing!

-That looked exhausting.
-[Rocsi laughing]

Can you describe
how exhausting it actually is?

[panting] Yeah...

"Yeah. Yeah."

Enough said.

[The Miz] It looked like when you went
over on the second lap with Lightning,

you actually pushed Lightning into Austin,
which was a great move by you

because it allowed you
to get the lead and stay in the lead.

[Kyle] Yeah. 100%.
I mean, going into it, I was...

I had a couple of different strategies,
and that's the one I landed on.

Ten points for you,
five points for you, Austin.

What was your strategy going in?

Definitely to end up in first,
but I realized when I was in first place,

I knew I was going to come
upon the gladiators first,

so I knew I was going to get blocked.

And Kyle was going to have
the opportunity to pass,

but when you're in there,
it's so hard to think.

You just got to keep it going.

But the main thing is
your legs start burning after one lap.

What an amazing performance from one
of our newest gladiators, Lightning!

I don't think I've ever seen
a gladiator make one sphere look like two

because you were handling both of them
basically at the same time.

Once I seen both of them
come around that corner,

I just had to strike twice on them
and I don't miss runners,

-and that's the best part of the game.
-Love that.

[Chris] After Atlasphere,
Kyle has ten points, Austin has five.

That would be
a meager 2.5-second head start

heading into the Eliminator,

but there's still two more events to go.
Plenty could change.

All right! Get hyped for the contenders
in our women's semifinal,

Terri and Rebecca!

[Chris] Our circus performer,
Rebecca Clements,

got that sweet scent of victory
and she's ready to feast.

I am incredibly grateful
I got a second chance.

I've played so many characters
in performance world and in life world,

and at this time,
it feels like I'm playing myself.

And that's really fun and refreshing.

I would love to go as far as possible.

I've made some lifelong memories
and done some really cool stuff,

so I see a positive outcome
no matter which way it goes.

did she fit in that thing by the way?

[Chris] Rebecca, the circus performer
from San Diego, quick out of the gate.

Empire's going to be
the first Gladiator in zone one.

Here she comes!

Terri with a little trouble,
she connects with the barrier.

Empire hits Rebecca.

Rebecca's got an opening to the side.

And she's going to move forward.

Here comes Striker!

[Chris and crowd] Ooh!

Rebecca's flying around in her sphere
as she moves to the inside.

Terri, now she's got
an opening to the outside.

The former homeless vet
who grew up in Kalamazoo, Michigan

has grown even with Rebecca.

Rebecca trying to play
a little defense there.

One more lap to go.
Whoever gets there first gets ten points.

If the next competitor gets there
within the next ten seconds,

she'll pocket five points.

Will Terri catch up to Rebecca?
Will Rebecca hold her lead?

Rebecca takes a shot from Empire.

Terri on the lead for the first time
in the game. Can she take it home?

Hello, Terri, have a seat.

Terri falling could cost her the game
as Rebecca pulls ahead.

First one past the finish line
gets ten points.

Rebecca clinches the win.

And Terri, she finishes
three seconds back.

She will pocket five points.

It looks fun rolling around
in those steel spheres,

but my goodness,
imagine their legs burning

after two vicious laps
and dealing with the gladiators.

[indistinct]

[Empire] You did it. You did it.

[Striker] Good job, girl.

[Rocsi laughing]

Terri, Rebecca, come on over.

Wow. I gotta tell you,
it was back and forth.

When you guys were done,
you both just flopped in your Atlaspheres.

How exhausting is Crash Course?

[exhales] Last time I did this,
I had a hard time getting off that mat.

So this time I was like,
"Terri, you got to kick it down."

And so I was at the end of that mat,
but she got off before me

and it was like rumbling
and tumbling up in there.

-[Rebecca laughing]
-Rebecca,

did you feel like you were tumbling
in your Atlasphere?

[Rebecca] Absolutely did,
I absolutely did.

[The Miz] So circus performer
translates to Crash Course?

Yeah, you know, as long as I'm
contained in the ball, I'm good.

I can roll like a hamster
and come out real quick.

We got a brand new gladiator
in the building.

Everybody show some love to Striker.

[crowd cheering]

You are so tall.

I thought that you were going
to have to hunch over in the sphere,

but how does your height take advantage
when it comes to work in Crash Course?

Using my body weight against
somebody else's is just a huge advantage.

Again, I weigh 192 pounds,

compared to most of these contenders
at like 140, 130.

So again, that's just
a huge advantage that I have.

I love it. And you know,
I have to say, Empire,

you were hitting hard out there,

like trying to get a taxi
during rush hour in New York City.

It was almost impossible.

It was more like smashing rats
on the subway.

But, you know, they were good.
They did what they had to do.

But, you know, I just did it better.

-I love it.
-Give it up for Terri and Rebecca!

[Chris] After Atlasphere,
it's Rebecca leading Terri 10-5.

That would be a 2.5-second head start
going into the Eliminator.

But of course, plenty could change
with two events still to come.

all of my family
that came out to support me.

my whole family.

It would make my girls at home so happy

for their daddy to bring home
some money for all of them.

[Chris] Both Austin and Kyle led
going into their respective Eliminators.

They both know
how valuable these points are.

Gladiators, ready!

[yells]

[Chris] Mayhem's undefeated on The Wall,

so Kyle better climb
like his life depends on it.

And Ace is locked in on Austin.
No room for hesitation tonight.

-[Thomas and crowd] Three, two, one!
-[whistle blowing]

[Chris] And the semifinalists are off,

and running, gladiators
are gonna be released after six seconds.

[whistle blowing]

[Chris] Whoa!
Did you see the leap that Mayhem had?

Austin's climbing to the side,
trying to avoid Mayhem.

Austin, Ace, they're entangled as well.
And Kyle, showing tremendous strength.

But he eventually gets
dragged down by Mayhem.

Austin trying to shake him loose.
Get off me! Get off me!

Kinda like that postal carrier

when that little dog bothers him
in the neighborhood.

[fake barking]

Look at the grip strength of Austin,
but eventually he is done.

[whistle blowing]

Meaner contender lasted 30 seconds.

[yells]

[Mayhem] Let's go, Ace!

[grunts]

Gladiators, flexing their muscles.

It's my wall, boy,
fastest in all of the land.

[Chris] Why not?
Mayhem remains undefeated on The Wall.

They had a six-second head start.
They're 40 pounds lighter than us.

Come on! This is what I do, man.

-[indistinct] didn't we?
-Oh, we do, bud.

[Chris] After The Wall,
things remain unchanged.

Kyle stays at ten points,
Austin is at five.

That would still be
a 2.5-second head start

for Kyle going into the Eliminator.

Moving it over
to the female semifinalists,

Rebecca and Terri look ready to play.

[Chris] Terri Bell, former homeless vet,

still carries with her
that military mindset.

I'm really proud of the work
that I did in the military,

and it has inspired me
to become a missionary.

My first mission trip was to Haiti.

I was able to teach
in a school that we had built.

I got to speak to 2,000 youths
about believing in themselves.

Health and wellness changed my life

and I want to be able
to recreate that in somebody else.

It's your mindset. It's your mindset.

Winning American Gladiators,
getting the $100,000,

would be such an amazing thing for me.

I'm going to be able to help
so many people around the world

have access
to health and wellness centers.

That's my heart's desire.

Going up against the gladiators,

She's been untouchable
all season long on The Wall.

who, remember, has replaced

[Chris] Terri, since you're military,
I want you on that wall.

I need you on that wall!

-Rebecca off to a nice start.

The gladiators have been released.

Striker, her 6'3" frame...
misstep for her.

And that'll give Terri

Rebecca, two-thirds
of the way up The Wall.

Crush is undefeated on The Wall.

That's the first time
that she did not catch a contender.

How do you feel?

I am grateful for her being my competitor

because it put a fire under my butt
to get up as fast as I could.

Do you feel like the circus
translates to The Wall?

Yeah, I like things
where I can use my hands and grab on.

So, that felt good.

[The Miz] You sped up this thing.

Yeah, I've got to get
every single point I can.

Well, great job.
Let's send it down to Rocsi Diaz,

who's with Terri and Striker.

[Rocsi] What a performance.

I feel like you hesitated a little bit
before jumping onto the wall.

What was going through your mind?

[Terri] To go as far right as possible

because I knew
that she was definitely very tall,

and I wanted to get up as far as I could.

But it played out
a little bit different than I intended.

-Hi, Striker!
-Hi, how are you doing?

I told her if she wasn't a gladiator,

she's a model
because she's that beautiful.

How was The Wall for you?

I did think she had me for a second.

When I slipped, I thought she was
gonna run up and I was out of it,

but we came back.

[Rocsi] Phenomenal job, Striker.

Give it up for Rebecca,
Terri, Striker and Crush!

[Chris] After Rebecca's
impressive performance on The Wall,

she has a 20-5 lead over Terri.

That would be a 7.5-second head start
for Rebecca

heading into the Eliminator.

I'm so fired up for this event

that I didn't even get
any sleep last night.

Also, because you can hear the Bull
snoring from like five miles away.

Very much so.

It's the event that has everyone
on the edge of their seat.

The Edge is a sky-high balancing act
against the gladiators,

where contenders have 60 seconds
to run over a web of narrow beams.

Thirty feet off the ground.

Now, each time you cross the other side,

Reach 10, that's a perfect score.

But if you miss your footing, you go down.

First up on The Edge, it's Austin,

hoping to add ten precious points
to his total.

In the prelims,
he faced this gladiator on Collision.

Now he's back
and sharper than ever. It's Steel!

[Rocsi] At 5'10", 205 pounds,

this pro wrestler and bodybuilder
turns muscle into dominance.

Steel's teardown tackle
is legendary on The Edge.

All right, Thomas,
let's see how this plays out.

[both laughing]

[Chris] Austin thinks his skill set
is perfect for The Edge.

He's all about quickness,
agility, and balance.

[Chris] Steel looking for a reprieve.

He gave up the max ten points on The Edge
in the prelims to Michael Moralia.

-[Thomas and crowd] Three, two, one!
-[whistle blowing]

[Chris] Last chance for Austin
to score points before the Eliminator.

He's going straight up the middle.
Let's check out that quickness.

The guy who works in motion caps,
a little stunner step.

He's going back left. He's got some space
and he's going to make it for two points.

He has Steel's back turned.
Oh no, Steel! Whoa!

[horn blowing]

What a tackle by Steel!

It looked like Austin had a breakaway.

Instead, he got slammed
into the side pillar,

and the 152 pounder
got wrapped up in a steel cage.

-Oh my goodness!
-How many fingers am I holding up?

I almost got split in half right there,
but you know I'm durable. I can take it.

[Rocsi] Dude! You nearly knocked
his head off, Steel.

I couldn't have been
gentler than what I did up there.

Some people are saying
hit of the season, I don't know.

But just know the only thing
that's hitting harder than those moves...

is this jawline.

Oh, Rocsi, look at that!

-[Rocsi] I can't.
-Give it up...

-for Steel and Austin.

Now, stepping onto The Edge, it's Kyle,

and right on his tracks,
when his light's on,

it's lights out for you. It's Neon!

and last time on The Edge, he put
his D1 football skills on full display.

He brings the heat every single snap.

[Chris] Neon, the author
of the best hit of the prelims,

when he sent Bobby Levine
flying off the edge.

[Chris] Kyle has told us how much
winning $100,000 would mean to him

as he is a single father
of three-year-old Maverick.

[Thomas and crowd] Three, two, one!

[whistle blowing]

[Chris] Kyle Bernier came off the bench

during the prelims
as an injury replacement.

Oh, beautiful fake and spin move
for two against Neon.

He bursts on the left side for two more.
Does he have two more?

[horn blowing]

Oh! Just before he nets 6.

Neon stopped him
right before the goal line

in a touchdown-saving tackle.

Kyle finishes with four points,

but he darn near had
his mustache knocked off him.

Kyle!

Man, if you could have just stayed on
and Neon fell off,

you could have had max points.

Was there any chance
of you staying on after that push?

I don't know. He's... He's a big dude.

Once he gets a hold of you,
everything's got to be perfect up there.

[Rocsi] That spin move
you put on Neon up there

was actually quite impressive,
and you played football.

I know that got
under your skin just a little bit.

Hey listen, hats off to Kyle, man.

He gave me some work in Powerball,
but I live by my own set of rules, okay?

And rule number three:
style is non-negotiable.

You had the juice for a second there,
but I got the sauce.

[laughs]

Kyle finishes with 14 points.

Austin has seven.

That means Kyle the Daddyator

has just a 3.5-second head start
going into the Eliminator.

Rebecca is up first on The Edge
as we continue our women's semifinals.

She's hoping to put a tenth spot up here.

Gonna be tough
with this gladiator picking up her scent.

You can run,
but that just makes it more fun.

[Rocsi] Now feast your eyes on Huntress.



This track star can outsmart
and outrun the best of them.

[Chris] You would think
a circus star like Rebecca

would have the upper hand here.

Well, let's see if she flies
through the air with the greatest of ease.

[Chris] Rebecca just embarrassed Crush
on The Wall.

Oh, slow, deliberate.

Hey, this ain't an afternoon walk.
Gotta get going, Rebecca.

She... looks like she...

Huntress, what are you doing?
That was like a free 2.

Remember, if she wins the 100 grand,
might buy into a circus.

She's got that 25 foot bus
that she lives on in San Diego.

She's gotta get bus-ting now.

Oh, she's got a way around.

She makes a break for it

Rebecca, very measured,
but running out of time.

Remember she's had
five knee surgeries, a hip surgery,

her doctor suggested having
brain surgery down the road.

-I have no idea what that was at the end.

Maybe she's just trying to alleviate
any sort of physicality with Huntress.

so that was staying safe,

but still trying

So you were scared up there.

I would think as a circus performer,
you're used to heights.

Heights is not an issue.

The issue is having an incredible athlete
tackle you off of a ledge.

So, the heights were not the issue.

[Rocsi] Huntress, you had her dancing
because I'd be scared of you too up there.

[Huntress] For a second I was like,
"Does she know there's only 60 seconds?"

But hey, her strategy and I just was there
to play the game.

[The Miz] Give it up
for Rebecca and Huntress.

Terri is up next on The Edge!

Gonna get this, let's go!

And if the 30-foot drop
wasn't intimidating enough,

she's facing her Powerball nemesis
from the prelims.

It's Hurricane!

[Rocsi] Hurricane is a force on The Edge.

With a 225-pound deadlift and a fierce,
competitive streak on The Edge,

She's barely let anyone score on her
the last two times out.

this former homeless vet,

to notch more points
before the Eliminator.

Hurricane has earned her PhD in The Edge.

before the Eliminator for Terri.

Taking it slow and steady,
using her former military precision.

Uh oh, locking eyes with Hurricane.

That doesn't sound fun.
Now breaking to the right.

Uh oh, Hurricane's got her arms on her.

See ya, Terri.

[horn blowing]

Terri done with zero points.

Terri's fake, uh uh uh.

As Terri found out,
Hurricane was built for The Edge.

Her streak of not allowing
any points continued.

Hurricane, another dub
and allowing zero points to a competitor.

After The Edge, Rebecca has
a dominant 24-5 lead.

That gives Rebecca
a massive 9.5-second head start

in the Eliminator.

But do not count Terri out.

It all comes down to this.
Rocsi, set the stage for The Eliminator.

[Rocsi] The Eliminator,
eight-nine part mega challenge

that's exhausting to watch, let alone run.

It's hurdles, it's rope, it's monkey bars,
a trapeze, a pesky cargo net,

a zip line, a tricky balance beam.

And, of course,
a contender's worst nightmare:

The Travelator.

If you get through all that,

then it's a rope swing
to the finish and into the finals.

This one has it all.

An Eliminator rematch
between two incredible redemption stories

who's battled back
from elimination to get here.

And it's Rebecca's third Eliminator.

[Chris] A lifelong dream
for both of these women.

Rebecca Clements, Terri Bell.

The circus star against the military vet.

Who will take their second chance
and run with it all the way to the final?

[Chris] Rebecca Clements very, very good
in the early part of the Eliminator.

Her circus background.

She is wonderful with ropes and,
obviously, on the trapeze.

[whistle blowing]

After nine and a half seconds,
here goes Terri Bell. Ouch!

She hit her head.

A little frantic out of the gate,

but she knows she's got
to make up some time.

Look at Rebecca. Poetry in motion
on the monkey bars and the trapeze.

And now the cargo net, where she was

the best out of all women and men
in the prelims.

to the top of the cargo net?

Her first time in the Eliminator,

she fell three times
before finally getting up.

The woman who has had
five knee surgeries, a hip surgery.

She is off to the finals!

The dream for a hundred grand still alive.

-How are you feeling?
-I'm so happy.

You're so happy? Yeah you should be.
You're going to the finals.

I wanted that so bad.

[Chris] And in the meantime,
Terri Bell pushing. Pushing.

The arena goes nuts.

And Terri Bell's season will end,

but not before she says,
"Eliminator, I beat you."

[Rocsi] That's what I'm talking about.
Never give up.

-How are you feeling?
-Tired.

[laughs]

[Terri] I definitely came here to win.

[pants]

That didn't happen.
But I'm blessed to be a child of God.

I love this country
and I'm just glad I can represent...

Rebecca, you were eliminated
and now you're going to the finals.

Here comes Austin, the man who work

He's quick and has gotten up to the rope.

But Kyle already on the monkey bars,
look at the strength!

Now, on over to the trapeze.

Austin, he's got to cut into this time.

To the cargo net.

This could be a great equalizer,
but Kyle working it.

This is the part where really,
it caught Austin in the preliminaries.

He's doing it two at a time, but Kyle,
first up and he hits the zip line.

Just the balance beam and the Travelator

standing in between the former alternate
and a berth in the final.

Look at this, man, that was easy.

[Mike] Start over!

Oh, he has to get sent back!
He didn't quite complete the balance beam.

Has that opened the door for Austin Liu?

Austin falls down.

Here goes Kyle,
up the Travelator and he is...

off to the finals!

Welcome to the finals, Kyle!

$100,000 is up for grabs!

How do you feel?

Man, I really, I really wanted that.
