event called Legacy Table.

influencers, movers, shakers.

just a celebration

of Black excellence
and to really brainstorm

ways that we can build
legacies that matter.

I want Legacy Table
to kind of, like,

show people that you can have
a multidimensional legacy.

'Cause I feel like legacy
can have legs to it,

and it's different
for each person.

For me, legacy is, like,
acknowledging your past

so you can move on
with your future.

I'm just really dedicating it
to my dad.

My dad has been in jail
my entire life.

He went to jail when I was
about four months old.

he would have had such

a huge impact on me,
on my character,

on my identity,
on my confidence,

and I missed out
on all of that.

After spending a lifetime
in jail, the least I can do is

help him rebuild the legacy
that he was stripped of.

visiting him in jail?
