The average family home
contains thousands of items
we don't really need,
and living in all this clutter
is making us miserable.
But imagine if the entire contents
of your home were laid out
before you...
Oh...
This is unbelievable.
..so you could decide
what to keep...
Coffee machine?
Get rid of you
before I get rid of that.
..and what to lose.
Mummy, let's get rid of these.
No way! No.
I didn't think it would
affect me as much as it is,
kind of going through our stuff.
I know from experience the joy that
can come from sorting your life out.
A place dedicated
to just organised snacks!
Are you ready?
And I've assembled a dream team
to help me transform
Britain's most cluttered homes.
Iwan!
Why have I got the short straw?
Let's go.
We'll clean, organise...
A lovely little pillow castle.
..and upcycle what the families
already have.
Happy days, money saved.
Ta-da! It's good, innit?
Can we completely make over their
homes without breaking the bank...
Me to you.
No, no, no.
DRILL WHIRS, SHE SCREAMS
..all in just one week?
Look at it!
Wow!
Oh, my God!
Sort your life out in seven days?
Whose idea was that?
We are back on the road,
off to help another family
declutter their home.
Woo! New city.
Another long list of jobs
for me to do.
And this week, me and the g*ng are
off to the land of Robin Hood.
Hello, Nottingham.
The g*ng are like my merry men.
How cute, we can put little
bow and arrow storage everywhere.
You know what else it's famous
for here?
What?
Lace making.
Lace making? Yeah, so we'll have to
get you some new knickers.
Lace knickers! We'll get Rob some,
too. Yeah.
Here we are.
Oh, Dilly, it's got three storeys.
Oh, no.
I didn't sign up for that.
Oh, here he is.
Oi-oi!
Hey!
So Kirsty and Taurean,
they've got four children.
Kirsty had an accident a few years
ago which left her with
mobility issues,
and the clutter is not helping.
This is a rental property,
so there are going to be
some different challenges here.
OK. Means it's harder for you, Rob.
Yeah, I can't fix anything to walls.
Right, shall we get in there?
Let's go.
Like the heart-shaped doormat.
Oh, it's cute.
Can we all use it, please?
The family have gone out for the day
so that we can have a snoop around
and see what needs sorting.
Well, the hallway seems... Clear.
It's airy, it's bright.
In their home, there's a kitchen
and living room downstairs,
along with four bedrooms
across two upper floors.
Let's get this out the way.
It's really weird
that there's just no storage.
Where do you put it
when you're finished?
Behind the sofa?
Oh, my God.
Monopoly, anybody?
There's a lot of board games,
isn't there?
Have you seen behind here?
Are you kidding me?
So many kids, mine included,
do do this thing where when you go,
"Can you tidy up, please?",
they just sort of grab it and throw
it to, like, the nearest space
that they can hide in.
At the moment, there is nowhere
for them to put anything.
Of course they're going to
just shove it into there,
because where else can they put it?
How else can they make it tidy?
There's so many times
when I'm just surrounded by mess.
I have three kids.
We've got a dog.
But I know that
I know where to put it
at the end of the day, I know
how to shut the door, get it away,
and give myself a little bit
of peace of mind.
Let's have a look at the kitchen.
It is completely overwhelmed,
isn't it?
I wonder why everything's
at this level.
Mid-level. I wonder if that's the
most accessible level to Kirsty.
Yeah.
But...
Yeah, that is a problem.
How are you going to get in to pans?
Well, you're not, there's no way
anyone's getting in this cupboard
without a struggle.
Oh, my goodness.
Whoa! Whoa!
Cor, that's a surprise.
You all right?
I love it when that happens,
and it's for the sake of
an empty... I mean, why?
Why is it even in there?
It's empty!
Upstairs, Iwan and I check out
16-year-old daughter
Kaiesha's bedroom.
Oh, this is nice.
Yeah.
Lot of pink, right up your street.
Oh, my God. Look.
Oh!
Oh, it's actually plugged in
and running, it's a freezer!
What's that doing in here?
I don't know, but it's got chips
and all sorts.
It's just so random, isn't it?
Yeah.
There's a freezer and
a washing line.
We've got to find somewhere
else to put it,
because it does not belong there.
Come on, let's keep going.
Oh, hello.
This is where they SHOULD
keep the laundry.
This could be our laundry cupboard
dream.
I mean, there's a tumble dryer in
here, and loads of towels.
Ironing board.
So why is the washing out there?
We could actually make
such good use of this.
Ooh.
Oh. What's the one thing that's
in a bedroom that's not in here?
Wardrobe.
Yeah.
There's literally nowhere
to put anything, really, is there?
Every room I go into,
the brain's ticking.
I love walking into a space
and finding out
where I can put a little bit of
secret storage.
People's homes, they make the
mistake of not utilising the space.
All it needs is fresh set of eyes
to then come up with
better storage solutions.
On the top floor, Rob and Dilly have
found the youngest kid's bedroom.
Hmm, I mean, there's a lot of Lego,
there's a lot of books.
There's actually a lot of space.
Figurines in here.
How can he find what he needs
when the Lego box is this deep?
Look! What's getting me
is that chest of drawers behind you.
It needs to be fixed, doesn't it?
Because, look, they don't even...
Oh.
Do you think they're beyond repair?
No, no, no, no.
Aha!
Next door, Dilly and I have
discovered Mum and Dad's bedroom.
This is the most cluttered
of them all.
I don't even know how
you move around this room!
There is just stuff everywhere.
Someone's into their trainers.
Hmm. Someone's going to bed
with their tools as well.
Why's he bringing this to bed?
Everything's so random.
There's literally no point
in having a chair
if you're going to cover it
in clothes.
You'd be sitting there thinking,
"It would be nice to sit in my chair
and read a book." Oh!
Literally was caught up with the
wires.
Also this wall goes back,
but it obviously drops a bit,
so this feels like
a big waste of space.
You can't even get
right to the back.
Oh, hello.
Could be good.
There's so much to sort through
in this house.
Behind every cupboard and every
telly and every sofa...
There's something.
..there is a pile of stuff!
Yeah. And every room needs a unique
storage solution.
Good luck!
Yay!
I think they're coming.
Hello!
Hi, nice to meet you.
How are you all feeling?
Good.
A little nervous.
So many reactions then - nervous,
excited, scared,
someone said "good" somewhere.
Kirsty and Taurean met 18 years ago.
Me and Taurean, wow,
that's a love story.
We met at Skegness Butlins.
It was love at first sight.
We hit it off straight away.
We were pretty much inseparable
that whole summer,
and then the season came to an end.
I went home and found out
I was pregnant.
Taurean broke his phone
on a works night.
I didn't have any way
to contact him.
We look for each other,
but we lost total contact.
I went on, I had Tyrell on my own,
and then I met Kaiesha's dad,
and that was very short-lived.
We didn't see each other
for about four years.
And then just randomly, one day, we
found each other on Facebook again.
And I just knew that I just
wanted to be with him
for the rest of my life.
With four children living at home,
it is a busy household.
Oh, what are you doing?
What we playing? Snap?
It's all hectic here.
Everyone's loud.
It's very chaotic,
but it's not like a bad chaos.
It's like lively, like.
Oh, snap!
Oh, that's cheating!
Two years ago, on a holiday abroad,
Kirsty had an accident.
I fell into some ceramic tiles.
I had herniated discs in my back,
and it had impinged my leg nerve,
so it left me with foot drop,
which basically means my leg
doesn't work as it should do,
and I have to wear an orthotics foot
brace to try and help for falls.
Not being able to feel your feet,
constantly tripping over, it's hard.
Things on the floor make me trip.
There's been times
I've cracked my head open.
She's lost a lot.
There's so much she can't do.
We used to do lots of family walks
and lots of family bike rides,
and all of those things,
I now can't do any more.
Kirsty's spinal injuries mean
that she lives in chronic pain,
which can be overwhelming.
It's hard to explain to anybody
the sort of pain.
It's a relentless pain,
it doesn't go away just because you
want a few hours to yourself.
It's...
It's hard and it's intense.
You're going to have to get in
the cupboard from hell,
the one down there.
Get me some plates out.
PLATES CLATTER
Kirsty, before her injury, she had,
like, a pristine house,
but they all know Mum's
not as sturdy on her feet
and can't do as much as she used to.
Neat folding, Mum.
SHE LAUGHS
Everybody tries their best to, like,
move stuff around and try and clear
a free path. I don't want to be
reliant on somebody else
constantly needing to look after me.
I want to have some independence
and be able to do those things.
Being in the rental property and
you're restricted by the things
you can't do, where do you start?
Where do you fix this?
We're just trying to get her
back to being happy again.
There's a couple of rooms
that are definitely overflowing.
What we need is some clever storage
solutions and systems in place.
Hopefully, at the end of it,
you live somewhere
that you are proud of,
that makes life easier for you,
makes things more accessible,
and gives everyone a bit of a chance
to enjoy the home. So, now it's time
for the fun part -
packing up!
THEY CHEER
Let's get in there!
Yeah, let's do it!
I can't see! You can't see?
Why don't you start with all the
toys, and I will start with
all the little ornamenty bits. OK.
What are you doing? I need to put
things in the box, not you!
Let's fill this box up
and give it to Rob.
SHE LAUGHS
Because neither of us can
carry it out of here!
The fridge is just condiments.
It's Taurean. No! Yeah.
He's nicknamed the Condiment King.
Every cupboard is full...
He has a problem.
Every time we go to the supermarket,
he buys at least five bottles
of sauce. It's just condiments.
Yeah, it's... He loves condiments.
I can see that so much of the stuff
is out on this worktop level.
Is that because reaching
down and up is...? Yeah.
Everything is, like, everything
I use a lot of is
already at this height
so I don't have to bend down.
You are doing an amazing job.
Is this drawings?
Most of them are drawings. OK.
I just put them in here
and then I'm like,
yeah, one day I'll go through it
and put it all... OK. ..all around.
So, who's got more stuff,
Mum or Dad?
Dad's got most of the things
underneath the bed.
Behind their wardrobe
is a whole other story!
They're got, like,
half of their stuff there.
That's what the house
is mostly like - bonkers.
Do you want to start clearing
the side of that wardrobe?
I dread to think what's
in that corner. Some fireworks.
I mean, fireworks in the bedroom
is a good thing, right?
How many did you buy? I bought three
boxes full. Of course you did.
How do you feel that the house at
the moment in its current state
is affecting all of you? Do you
think it's...? It's stressful.
I'm trying to keep my business going
and the kids and trying to get
Kirsty sorted, and it affects
the kids a lot.
They see Mum, when she does
have a bad time, you know,
she has to stay in bed
for a few days.
She's lying in bed feeling helpless.
This is definitely the most
important room in the house.
Rob! We've finished filling the
boxes, but now we can't move them.
And I bet you I've got
more in my box. I bet you do.
HE LAUGHS
You have got the least in your room,
that's for sure. You're the tidiest.
I try to be, I try.
So it would be nice, actually,
to you to have somewhere to study.
Definitely. I'm trying to do
an apprenticeship this year.
I'm studying to be an electrician.
That's so cool, because you want
to work with Dad? Yeah, I want to
work with Dad, yeah. That's amazing.
What would your dream result
be, like, for the end of this?
What are you hoping for?
I'm just hoping anything that
will help Mum get around more.
Yeah. Makes her life
a little bit easier. Yeah.
If she falls over anything,
and you're at college
and you get that phone call,
it's like, it is quite scary.
Yeah, so every phone call you get
while you're at school,
you're thinking, is that Mum?
Yeah. It's always in my pocket.
You're going to need a bigger box.
Come on, let's get moving.
I got it!
We have the mixer.
Before we obviously, you know,
cleared all this,
you had all the washing in here,
so, is that your role?
Are you in charge of all the
washing? I'm in charge of washing.
But I have to ensure that everything
is put away properly, for my mum,
especially, you know, when
she's got to be cautious
of where she's stepping.
We have to make it easier for her.
Yeah. But with the clutter
there, it's not easy.
What are the things
that really bother you?
I am... I am house proud,
and I was house proud,
I always have been.
So, being able to keep this space
a bit more clearer.
This is the one room
where I love being the most.
The kids are great,
don't get me wrong.
If they're on the top floor
in the middle of the Battle
of the World on their computers,
I call, and one of them will come.
But you want your independence back.
I want to be able to say,
I don't need your help.
And that's the main goal of this,
is trying to claw something
back for me.
We'll get there. Let's do this. Yes.
Come on, Kirsty.
Oh, God, sorry.
But first, if I don't
break everything.
The positives that could come from
this process for this family
will be life-changing.
For the first time in her life
she's turned around and said,
can someone please help me
and try and help me
get my independence back?
And we all want to do whatever
we can to make that happen.
After a full day of packing,
the house is finally clear
and three van-loads of
the Lespeares' possessions
head to the warehouse.
ALL: Bye!
Bye to our things!
Come on.
Hey!
Come on, where's the little man?
THEY LAUGH
Here we go. It's a bit
nerve-racking, don't you think?
I am actually dreading how much
stuff we've got laid out.
It's Stacey! Hello!
The Lespeares now have two days to
let go of half of their possessions.
Oh, am I getting a hug?
SHE LAUGHS
How are you all feeling? Good.
Nervous. Nervous.
So nervous! There's one good
and a lot of nervouses.
Yeah, a lot of nervous.
Shall we go in?
ALL: Yes. Come on, then.
STACEY LAUGHS
Here we go. Oh, my God.
Oh, my God.
Is that how much you've
seriously got?
Out of the hundreds of boxes
unpacked and laid out
from the Lespeares' home,
we discovered...
..four toastie makers,
36 shower gels,
18 gaming controllers
and 84 bottles of condiments.
Welcome to your home.
Wow. This is bad.
What have we been doing
over the years?
Oh, my God. I'm a little bit
speechless.
So many things I haven't seen
for so long.
There seems to be a lot
of stuff there.
The challenge now is for the family
to decide what to keep
and what to donate, recycle or sell.
One of the biggest areas of this
entire warehouse is electricals.
And there's some stuff over there
I really want to know about.
So should we start hard?
Right. Let's do it.
Well, you know what...
Look at all these iPhones!
How many iPhones
does one household need?
Taurean, when he breaks them,
he doesn't like to get rid of them.
I don't know why.
There are so many
major electrical retailers.
So shops that sell electrical goods
that will actually take in
your old stuff and recycle it
for you.
We'll keep that one,
cos that's got all the bits in
Are we getting rid of this, really?
Are you making me get rid of this?
Do you need it? Can we see if
it charges up?
What do you want it for, babe? Just
might have some cool tunes on there.
No. I mean, that one's not
even been taken out the box.
Which one? Oh. Wait, you getting
rid of that one? That's brand-new.
Do we need all four of these,
is the point?
OK, yeah.
Taurean is terrible!
He's really having to psych himself
up to let go of anything.
It genuinely is something
that he's really struggling with.
What is that?
That's my first-ever Mac.
I don't think it's your first-ever.
It's got to be your grandad's first.
It could still... No.
I don't know if I can get rid of it.
No, seriously. I'm trying!
The thing is you'd rather
get rid of the stuff
that's going to be
in Kirsty's way...
Yeah. ..because it makes you feel
more at peace
when you're out of the house
and everything's out the way.
So that's what we're hoping for
by the end of this process,
is that you have peace of mind.
Kirsty feels more independent.
And everyone... Everyone's
on the same page. Exactly.
Thank goodness for that.
I'm going to take it right now.
I'll put this away.
Put that in donate.
Donate those and those.
Now we've got rid of this so we can
save some on the other sections.
Eee! Yeah!
Back at the house...
Look at this space!
..the team are putting a plan
together.
Feels different, doesn't it?
Feels so much better!
Top of their list is to transform
the master bedroom.
I feel like this is going
to be your toughest job.
And I feel the same way.
That wardrobe only came up
to about here.
How do we utilise this space now,
effectively,
so it goes all the way to here
but we also use the height?
Because it is a rental property,
we want to have minimal holes
for our fixings.
What I'm thinking of is a
freestanding slash walk-in wardrobe
that looks in-built.
How are we going to walk in
to this wardrobe?
Well, where you're standing
right now would be one section
of the wardrobe on this side,
another section facing this way. Oh.
And for you to access the wardrobe,
you walk in between the two.
OK, I'm excited, Rob.
This is good.
A walk-in wardrobe. I mean,
how fancy!
Iwan's making a start
in the bathroom
with a handy DIY cleaning trick.
Rob's lent me his drill.
I'm going to use this to help clean
the toilet. I bought these online.
You can get a set of brushes that
adapt to drills.
This bad boy. Get involved
with the toilet.
Pop my goggles on.
We'll whizz round with this toilet
cleaner. Let's go.
WHIRS
Whoa! You've got to be careful.
It can splash back.
Look at that! That's getting right
up around the rim.
Why am I wearing white jeans today?
Oh, that is so much better.
It smells like an Italian
orchard in here now.
At the warehouse, we're tackling
Taurean's massive condiments
collection.
There is 15 hot sauces there.
Sweet chilli jam.
Oh, yeah. We've got to keep that.
That's just amazing. OK.
Sweet chilli puree.
I use that with my...in cooking,
so we can keep that.
Refrigerate and use within 28 days.
Right. They're going. They're going.
All three of them are going. OK.
Thank you, sell by dates.
Well that's definitely 50%
of that table gone.
Are you kidding me?
Dilly's going to come in here and
she's going to be on the phone
to me saying, "What happened
in the condiment section, Stacey?"
What do you put this in?
What's... On everything.
Put it on all sorts. Chicken, veg.
Everything. You two are the terrible
twosome.
Tyrell is a mini Taurean.
They're like a little tag team.
Look how much bread sauce she's got.
Get rid of all of that.
Give it now. I like bread sauce.
Poor Kirsty gets both of them
telling her to let go of everything.
The plates is like, if one smashes
she won't go by, like, one.
It'll be... A new set.
..a whole new set.
I feel like... Leaning tower of
Pisa. Yeah.
But then some people collect plates,
some people collect mayo.
THEY LAUGH
That's Dad's. That can go.
What are you doing? Put them back!
Why are you tackling all my jars?
Mum, your kitchen is
really cluttered. Come on.
They're arguing over jars!
When was the last time you used
the pasta in that jar?
Well, I have used some of it
cos it's not full any more.
I have got to disagree with this.
I must say, I do feel like you are
getting the harshest treatment.
It's OK cos I've got all of this to
tackle yet, don't you worry.
And I'm coming for your shoes.
Kaiesha, shall we do hair and
make-up?
Yeah. I've always been into hair
and beauty.
Explains all the make-up.
I would rather get rid of this one.
Oh, you don't have to get rid
of these, if these are for your
studying.
No, no, no. I can get rid of one and
keep this one.
I got them for the hair course,
to practise on.
And have you got into your course?
Yeah. Yeah? 100% on the course.
Oh, that's exciting.
This has not got a stand.
So this is kind of like... You
wouldn't be able to fix her down.
I wouldn't be able to do anything
with this. Sorry.
You've got to go. Vanessa.
Is that her name? Bye, Vee.
Bye, Vee.
I've noticed all the washing is in
your room. My room, yeah.
It's easier to have in my room cos
it's right there
and I can just put it away.
I feel like I am a bit more grown
up than most teenagers are
because of how chaotic my life is
and how much I do have to help.
Suddenly my mum was a massive
focus, we had to focus on my mum
to make sure she was OK.
Make sure she had taken
her medication.
Day to day she pretty much takes
over being mum.
She will literally get on with
any job you'll ask her to.
Bathing the boys, bedtime, cooking
dinners.
Honestly, if I could reward her
with the world, I would.
We've been in the same
kind of routine.
I feel like it would be nice to have
new experiences,
just a whole new fresh start.
And I'm definitely more...
I'm ready for it more than ever.
You know what, it's not
easy being the oldest either.
No, definitely not.
One of the oldest.
It's like, everything
just gets piled on me.
I know it doesn't, but that's what
it feels like.
And I just thought I'd be
all right at the end of the day.
You will 100% be a very
successful woman.
Shall we keep all the make-up?
Right, let's smash this like
you're going to smash everything
else in life. OK.
This cupboard is really
the cupboard of dreams
because there's a lot
of space in it.
To free up Kaiesha's bedroom,
the team are working on
a brand-new laundry room.
I mean, this is a 16-year-old girl.
You know, she's got a freezer
in her bedroom.
She's got the family laundry
in her bedroom.
And I don't think many of us can
realise the impact that has on her.
I've had an idea of what we can do
about the freezer situation
in the bedroom.
This is just a fridge and they've
got a freezer up in the bedroom.
Yes. So I'm thinking, let's get
this sold,
find them a real bargain, gigantic
fridge freezer
to really utilise this space.
Great idea. Yeah.
With the free-standing bottom
section in place,
Rob makes the finishing touches
to the new laundry unit.
There we go. That slots into place.
I will then add a bracket here and
here to make sure that stays stable.
We'll put back our shelves.
We now have our well-organized
laundry room
and we haven't put a single hole
in the wall.
Pick up the things that you don't
want, or that we don't need.
I'm getting rid
of these sharpeners.
Piece of ribbon. Day one in the
warehouse is coming to a close.
But there's still a major
section for Kirsty to face.
Shall we do wardrobe? Yeah, OK.
Are you ready for this?
We'll do it. I'm ready because I
don't even wear half of this.
So I just started buying clothes
and dresses to go out in
but everything I put on I thought,
"Eugh, I can't wear that."
Why do you think that?
I think it's difficult to accept
the leg brace and embrace it.
I wanted... At first I just wanted
to hide it.
I mean, I buy clothes,
but it's difficult trying to be
somebody new when you're still
grieving
for the old person that's
not here any more.
I don't know if I'm ready
to let go.
All these things are all from, like,
pre-accident.
So all of these are really,
like, quite emotional
for the sake of knowing that this is
what I wore on holiday with Taurean.
All of these, I would have wore with
sandals. I was a barefoot queen.
Everybody always used to make
jokes of it.
And now I can't wear a pair
of sandals any more.
Everything has to wear with shoes.
So pretty much you can scrap that
half of my life, gone.
Because it's never going
to happen again.
I can't imagine
what she's going through.
Not only has she lost a massive part
of her life, she doesn't feel like
who she was and she never feels
like she'll get back to who she was.
The way she sees herself
is actually really sad.
I'm never going to wear a bikini
again, so that can go.
I don't think I can wear that cos I
don't think it suits me.
So I might as well get rid of that.
You know, you can wear all of these.
Kirsty, you know that?
No. You can.
You're so gorgeous.
I don't think you understand.
I think what has happened to you has
made you, like,
just see yourself differently and
not appreciate
just how beautiful you are.
You can find clothes that make
you feel good about yourself
and make you feel happy within
yourself
that you can actually wear,
that you're not going to look at
knowing that you'll never
get there again.
I think by getting rid of half
of this it's going to be half my
battle.
Let's find your staples, the things
that make you feel comfortable. OK.
These. I actually think I've
probably got one of these in every
colour.
OK. I've got two of them in the
same colour.
So like what you're wearing now.
Yeah. Just, like, easy vests.
Yeah, because I feel like I can wear
my trainers with those.
I like that one.
I'm so proud of her.
She let go of all the things in that
wardrobe that are making her unhappy
and she only held on to the things
that make her feel good about
herself.
And I just think that's a huge
step and will be a big part
in helping her to hopefully
just feel more confident.
Can we just take a moment
to appreciate...
That's incredible!
That is a really impressive start.
You should be so proud of yourselves
and you've worked so hard.
So well done.
Yay! Group hug! Come on. Let's come
to Mum. Yeah. Come to Mum.
Group hug. Oh. Group hug. Come on,
team. You've done so well.
Let's go home and have some
dinner. I'm starving.
What sauce are you having, more
importantly?
Hot sauce! I can't have it,
it's all on there!
Good morning, family. Morning.
Uh-oh!
The Lespeares have just one more day
to complete the clear out.
It looks good in here. We did get
rid of quite a bit. Yeah, you did.
We're going to have a really good
day, positive day, fun day.
But we are still going to have
a bit of a blitz.
And we always need to think, do we
love it?
Do we need it? Do we use it?
So today, lots of energy.
Shall we have a look at your
trainers, Taurean? OK.
Shall I go through what I think?
I'll tell you what I think
cos these are my trainers, yeah?
Yeah. If I go with what I think
then you can start from that.
So, go, go, go. His face!
I love my trainers.
I don't think I'll be able to get
rid of trainers.
I've spent a long
time collecting them.
Go, go, go and go.
Oh, and them. Go. Wow. I believe.
Even them, once they get
cleaned up.
Them ones, OK. Them ones can go.
Them ones can go.
You just had your hand on them,
you just thought about it.
Oh, look. He keeps going to pick
them up and putting them back.
These are just my work trainers.
Taurean.
Taurean, OK. I can't hear. I can't
hear what you're saying to me.
He's blocked it out. I knew this was
going to happen today.
Kirsty, she's like, "No, Taurean,
you are not keeping those.
"We want those, those, those, those,
those gone."
So, you know, there's been...it's
been funny watching the
chemistry between them
because I think today is definitely
payback for her.
I think he's done quite well.
I think I've done well there, look.
I've got a boxful. A boxful?
That's not full. That's full of
boxes! Look, I can get one more
flip-flop.
They don't need them. Yeah. You
don't need, like, one, two...
Come on. No, no, no, no. Come on.
..three, four...
Come here. Get back over there,
go on.
I'm just going to go put
these over here so these are done.
Taurean. Taurean. It's still full.
It's done. It's still full.
We're done.
This area is usually interesting.
Yeah.
Often with washing machine drawers,
they can get a little bit neglected.
That just slides off.
We can have a good look in here.
Yeah. Oh. If your washing machine
is starting to smell,
this could be why.
I'm going to use my old mate, the
baking powder.
Going straight in with my hand
and I'm going to rub it
all around any of those areas.
Get your spray bottle, get some
white vinegar in there,
and then just spray
onto the baking powder.
And that's going to start
to fizz up.
See it bubbling away there?
Whatever the situation is, this
is going to blitz it.
Now not only will the family
hopefully have less clothes to wash,
but when they do wash, then they're
all going to be smelling incredible.
This large chest of drawers has come
out of Taylon and Toure's room.
All of the centre cross sections
have all broken off.
And we don't want to throw it away.
We want to re-use this
inside the room.
Well.
This material is even stronger than
what was there before.
The cross sections were made of
chipboard. This is solid timber.
So I'm going to rip this down to
correct size
and then using brackets I will then
attach it to the frame.
We call that a darn good repair.
Back up this to the room.
It'll get painted, put all back
together, repurposed.
Happy days, money saved.
At the warehouse, the reality
of how much stuff the family
has accumulated over the years
is starting to sink in.
It is eye opening to see how much
we had inside the house.
Yeah, that just was hidden before.
Yeah. We just keep piling on.
Do you think it's going to change
your approach to the way that you
spend? Oh, without a doubt.
Just looking at all of that and I
keep going over it
and thinking how much money
have I wasted there?
More experiences, less stuff.
That's it. That's it. Yeah.
It's actually probably
mostly my fault.
I've started to realise I've
probably a little bit
of an unhealthy habit of buying
things. Do you think? Yeah.
Now I know why Kirsty was always
falling over stuff.
Well, it's now more important than
ever that there isn't anything
there to be tripping over.
That's it.
I think it's been a huge
realisation for Taurean.
He didn't know half the stuff
that he had in his house.
And now he's seen it he realises
that actually a lot of this
was on him.
And that's a big thing to admit.
It's a big thing to realise
that maybe part of the problem has
been you.
They're also going.
They're done for, mate.
Ready? Three, two, one.
Wow, the game we got for Christmas
in the reject pile!
Maybe we can we can sneak it
under your T-shirt.
Just don't tell anyone, OK,
that I let you keep it.
Go hide it.
With half an hour left it is the
final push for the family.
That one can go. Yeah. Those three
can go.
Captain America too.
Oh, good boy, Toure.
Jumanji? Right. That can go.
Yes. They can all go.
Good job! Good job, g*ng.
What we've been doing
with all this stuff all year?
We've been living with all of that,
and we don't actually need
any of it.
I think we're nearly there.
Three, two... I'm here. ..one!
CLAPS
Well done, family! Yeah.
Well done! We're done!
Yes! We're finished!
After two long days, the family have
managed to hit their 50% target.
You have absolutely smashed
it. Beyond smashed it.
The next time you see all of this is
going to be in your amazing,
decluttered home.
It's going to be completely
transformed.
What's going on? What's going on?
What's going on? What's going on?
Squishy! I love you all! Squishy!
All the Lespeares' kept possessions
have arrived back at the house.
Where's all this stuff come from?
What did we do so wrong? I thought
you were getting rid of stuff
at the warehouse - look at all this!
And we have got 12 hours
to get everything organised
before the family return home.
We've got to split up.
We've got to decide what rooms we're
going to take.
So first floor, first floor,
you're down here.
I'll go straight into the living
room.
Come on then, g*ng.
Sweet. Let's go. Let's go! Woo!
Rob is working on a solution
for Tyrell's storageless bedroom.
Not only is he going to have a place
to work
so he can become a great
electrician,
he's also going to have a space to
store all of his clothes.
A few cuts, it's already taking
shape.
Here is our work station.
And there you have it.
We're going to have our clothes
rail, which is suspended from the
top of the desk itself.
So this here is going to be his low
hanging wardrobe.
You still have then all the storage
of your chest of drawers,
and a place right here
to place your TV.
If you're ever thinking, "I'd love
a feature wall, but I'm worried
"because I rent and I don't want
to mess up the walls and end up
"having to pay for it when I leave,"
this stuff is absolute genius.
It's self-adhesive wallpaper,
so basically it's like
sticky-back wallpaper.
If you're leaving or you have to
just remove it for whatever reason,
it literally just peels away.
It's just so amazing.
I want to match up the pattern
to the last piece I've put down.
Oh, look at that.
That's what you want.
You just pull the paper
from underneath
and then keep smoothing it down
and making sure
that you follow that line
the whole way down.
I find this so satisfying.
We're nearly there.
Like that...
Ta-da!
It's good, isn't it?
In the bathroom, Iwan has a handy
trick to give your taps
the perfect shine.
If ever you drop a blob
of toothpaste
into the sink, don't just rinse it
down the sink.
You can use it to quickly clean
around the sink, go around the taps.
Get those nice and shiny. It makes
for a really nice, gentle cleaner.
And then just give it a quick wipe
with a damp cloth
to remove all of the toothpaste.
How nice does that look?
Whilst me and the team crack on
organising the house,
the family are taking the items they
decided to let go of
to be donated...
..sold for vouchers...
Great stuff. You get a fiver off a
new pair.
..and recycled at their local
high street electrical shop.
Lovely. Thank you very much.
Thank you.
Back at the house, Dilly's got a
nifty trick
when it comes to folding bulky
hoodies.
Zig-zag our arms in. It doesn't
have to be perfect,
just has to be quite equal here.
So we're just going to fold
that.
Fold it up.
Now, our hood would normally be like
this,
but we're going to take our hood
and we're going to tuck
it under here
and around here
into the hood.
So it's like we're almost wrapping
the hood
into a little square parcel.
And then we use the ties
from the hoodie to pull it tighter.
And, you know, if you're feeling
fancy, put a little bow on it.
And then look at this gorgeous
little hoodie parcel
that's going to sit on our shelf
or even in a drawer.
Ah.
This makes me happy.
I know this looks really random
and weird,
but this is a galley kitchen,
there isn't much cupboard space.
So to create extra spaces
to store stuff that are at a height
that Kirsty can get to,
I've got four screws in here
because I want it to be as solid
and secure as possible.
Then you get the bottom of your
jar,
fill it up whatever you want at
this level,
and just screw it on.
Ta-da!
Extra storage space!
Upstairs, it is nonstop for Rob
as he still needs to finish the
walk-in wardrobe
in Kirsty and Taurean's master
bedroom.
Unfortunately for Rob, he's got one
of the hardest jobs.
But he's worked so hard and he's
done such an incredible job
throughout the house. And, yeah,
there's a few units that are delayed
and taking a bit longer than we
thought,
which is making the whole
process come back.
But, I'm not being funny,
Rome wasn't built in a day,
or a week, so I don't know why we've
set ourselves
this ridiculous timeframe.
HE SIGHS
And there you have it.
Oof!
Three more to go.
While Rob pushes on with
the carpentry,
Dilly is busy creating the dream
dressing station.
This is going to be... Oh, it just
looks so lovely.
Kaiesha's going to study here
at college.
You want to be able to see
everything and use it,
especially when you're practising
and you're doing your hair
all the time.
We need to make sure she's got
everything she needs.
Taylon loves drawing, so we wanted
to display some of his artwork up.
And I thought we could clipboard it,
hang them up, and then he
can always take down
and put up the artwork he loves.
I just thought that was a really
nice way of doing it
cos I don't want to make any holes
or drill into the walls.
I'm just going to use sticky strips,
really push them down,
and then...
..that's that. Done.
If you ever want to take a trip off,
you pull the tab this way.
It sort of like pulls the glue
with it.
See? Look.
It's like it was never there.
Not a hole or a scratched
bit of paint in sight.
Right, this is all for the TV.
We're ready to fit our mechanism.
Rob is transforming the inside of
the kitchen cupboards
with a nifty device that will make
them easier to access for Kirsty.
I've been using my drill for a long
time so I can judge
the depth of how much I'm drilling.
But in order
to make sure that you don't go
straight through the unit,
hold your drill bit, so it's not
too far in.
So to ensure that we don't go
all the way through,
we get our masking tape,
wrap the tape around our bit.
And now we know when I drill
it in to the timber,
once I get to this point here, not
to push any further,
or I'm going to end
up through the other side.
Instead of reaching up and trying
to go on the tiptoes,
you just hold on to this handle
here,
pull forward...
..and then she has full access
of everything on the top shelf.
Job's done.
Look at us all. We're all, like,
flagging. Final push.
DILLY SIGHS
Yeah. Let's go.
That'll be you soon, Stace, final
push.
LAUGHTER
Where is Rob?
Oh, you know what he's like.
Always building. How dare he?
Always working hard.
Right, come on, g*ng.
Yeah, come on, then.
Come on. We're not realty lying down
doing nothing, I promise.
Rob, hey!
Are you... Oh, you poor
darling,
you're worked off your feet!
All of you, hang your heads
in shame.
We're recharging. We're back to
it. Oh! Come on.
We can do it!
Try and clear some of these boxes.
We can see what we've got.
To me, to you.
No, no, no, no!
We're in a wall. You're in the wall!
You keep pushing unless
you're Casper the Friendly Ghost,
it's not going to go through. All
right! But I can't get it that way!
Push it the other way.
I'm trying to push it the other way!
That is bedding. That can go
upstairs.
Only about 5,000 pages left to sort.
There is only one room left
to systemize,
but we are going to need all hands
on deck
if we're going to get it done in
time.
I'll carry on with clothes. Yeah.
Dilly, if you want to do
shelving-style clothes.
OK. Iwan, start getting ready
to the floor.
Rob, shelves and telly on this side.
All right. Right, let's do it.
Come on! OK. We're so close.
Let's go in colour order.
What? What sense does that make?
Guys, we haven't got time to argue.
Just shove it all in the wardrobe.
Iwan's already hanging up
cos we're having an argument
about it.
Look! Look at that order. Oh, my
gosh!
Look at them all, beautifully...
Stackable! Oh, nice.
Stackable hoodies
in a little parcel.
Oh, God, I can see the bed!
That's because Iwan's just piling
all the stuff on a box!
I want to make the bed. Iwan!
I've got to think about myself now,
guys.
I'm not going to be able to
clean until I can see things.
I don't know if you should be
cleaning it while he's trying to
hang things. Well, I'm sorry...
No-one can stop you right now. This
is taking all day.
There we go. Well done, g*ng.
Are we there? I think we've done it.
If Rob could only just tidy
up his tools...
Woo! Woo!
I feel like climbing in that bed
now. They're going to be so happy.
They're going to be so happy. I
really hope so. They will.
I feel knackered, but at the same
time, so excited.
Actually, I'm so proud of what we've
done in there today.
Everyone's worked so, so hard.
And I really just can't wait
to see their reactions.
Chinese? Ooh, Chinese. Yay! All
right, all right.
Well done, team! Woo! Well done. We
smashed it.
Seven days ago, the Lespeares'
rented home
was overflowing with clutter,
making life stressful for the family
and dangerous for mum Kirsty.
Now it's time for them to see
if we've been able to declutter,
organise and transform their home.
I'm always nervous whenever we bring
the families back.
Just hope its' everything
they hoped for.
Oh, yes!
Cuddles!
Hi! How are you? You all right?
Oh, my God, you all look so
cute. You're matching!
How are you all feeling?
Nervous.
Not as nervous as me, I promise you.
LAUGHTER
Come on.
Come in.
Straight in to your...
..living room.
Oh, my God. Oh, my! Oh, my God!
Ah, look!
This is your front room!
Stop it! How did you get that in
here?
A messy living and dining room,
once overrun with toys and games,
now has designated storage, freeing
up space for them to relax
and enjoy time together.
So it's a unit that Rob made
to put all your stuff in.
And it's literally just given so
much more space in this room.
And this wallpaper is completely
removable,
so you can just peel it off if you
ever need to.
It won't ruin the wall behind it.
I love that. That is amazing.
You all right? It feels so much
bigger. It looks...
It absolutely is. It's so
much lighter.
It looks like a family
room now.
It does. I want to sit in this room.
Yay!
Mission accomplished.
Let's keep exploring, shall we?
Come in!
GASPS
Oh, my God. Oh, my God!
The kitchen was previously
packed to the rafters
with no clear surfaces,
but we have decluttered
and organised
to turn it into a space
that is more usable,
especially for Kirsty.
One of the biggest things for us
was that we so wanted to clear
these surfaces so that you could
actually bake and cook
and enjoy your time in the kitchen.
And I remember you saying to me that
things being on this level were OK,
but anything too far down
and anything too far up
was a real struggle.
So... Rob found these...
Oh, my God.
..and they're basically...
In every cupboard, you can pull
everything down to a height
that's much more manageable for you.
I won't need you any more.
That's amazing. Yeah!
They're all there.
They're like the best thing
in the world.
They're so clever, aren't they?
And don't think we didn't
take care of your condiments.
Because we did!
We've looked after them
as if they're our own
and we love them.
Maybe! Even though
there's far too many that
came back from that warehouse!
Before, you couldn't get into
this cupboard down here.
But now, instead of having to bend
down all the time.. Oh, my gosh.
..these now pull out up to here
and they lock into place as well.
So you can use them
as extra surface space.
You can actually leave that there
and cook on it? Yeah, exactly.
Somewhere extra to lean things on.
I literally love it. The amount of
space that we've got on the side
is unbelievable. More than anybody
could have wanted or even imagined.
You had one big fridge in here.
Yeah. So we sold the fridge and the
freezer and put the money together
and bought a big fridge freezer.
So...we organised
the entire fridge.
Kaiets is going to be amazed,
honestly.
She's going to be so happy.
Without that freezer in her room.
She never moaned about it,
that's the thing. No, that's it.
Gosh, so... You know, taking it
out of her room, she's...
Yeah, definitely.
It's going to be massive.
Upstairs, I want to start
by showing Kaiesha
her new freezer-free bedroom.
Here we go.
YELPS HAPPILY
Stop!
Oh, my God!
Kaiesha's room used to double up
as the space for laundry
and kitchen storage.
Now she has her very own hideaway
to relax and enjoy spending time in.
Oh, my goodness!
I was not expecting this.
You know you so deserve this, right?
You've had the laundry in here,
you've had a freezer in here.
You've had everything
sort of shoved under your bed.
And... This is amazing.
How did you guys do this?
Dilly spent a lot of time organising
this area
because we know you have put
so many people in front of you
for a really long time,
and we know how much you've wanted
to get into your hairdressing. Yeah.
So we thought that it was really
important to make sure
all your hair stuff had a place.
This is amazing. Yay!
Oh, this is my room!
This is your room.
Thank you so much.
Now that Kaiesha has
her laundry-free room back,
I want to show her and Kirsty their
newly-transformed laundry cupboard.
So now... Oh! Oh, my...
..you've got your own
laundry room.
How did you do that?!
Rob built this unit because
he's just an absolute genius.
So once you've washed the clothes,
you can do all the drying...
It's got baskets in there
for our stuff!
Everyone's got a basket.
Everyone's got a basket
with their name on it.
So when things are washed and dry,
they can go in those baskets
and go back to everyone's room.
That's amazing.
If you're doing washing every day,
you might as well
do it somewhere you love.
I love it. I'm literally going to
spend the rest of my days, tomorrow,
like... We're going to be so happy
when we're doing it!
I don't mind doing
the washing any more!
Along the corridor,
Tyrell's room was lacking
any decent storage.
Now he has a space for his clothes
as well as a place
to study and relax,
Tyrell... Jesus Christ!
This is your new room.
Wow!
I don't even know what to say,
thank you.
But these were your drawers
you had before.
I was going to say, are they...
We painted it, put new handles on
and then Rob built this desk area.
Yeah.
That's just amazing.
Well, you need it. Yeah.
You're studying to be
an electrician,
so you need a computer, a printer,
somewhere to work from.
So this, we thought,
was really important.
And you had no hanging space
whatsoever.
You didn't have a wardrobe
or anything.
I know, that...
That really annoyed me.
So we put a wardrobe rail
underneath your desk.
Yeah. It looks a lot better as well.
Under here.
Oh, this is just amazing!
On the top floor is
Toure and Taylon's revamped bedroom.
Oh! Amazing!
Before, there was barely
any floor space in here.
Piles of Lego and toys taking over.
Now they each have their own space
to play in
and plenty of storage
to keep things tidy.
So we put some hanging rails here,
and we have sorted all your clothes
out and labelled all your boxes.
So if you're looking for a T-shirt,
shorts, trousers, school stuff,
it's all labelled
and there for you to find
and to put back
when you're done with it.
Do you like it? Yes.
I decided to put some clipboards
on the wall
so you can hang
your favourite artwork.
I don't know if
these are your favourite,
they were my favourites
that you've done.
What do you reckon? It's good.
Yeah?
STACEY CHUCKLES
There is just one final room
to show.
I can't do it... Oh, my God.
Come into to your bedroom.
Oh, Jesus...
Oh, my days... Oh, my God.
Kirsty and Taurean's bedroom
had become completely overrun
with mounds of clothes,
shoes and clutter.
Now it's the perfect
relaxation space,
and somewhere Kirsty can enjoy
spending time
on the days
that she struggles to be mobile.
Oh, my God, this is our room?
This is your room.
Oh, my God.
This is everything. This is...
Oh, my... You've got your...
Oh, wow.
I don't know what to say.
This isn't my room.
This is your room!
This is everything that you wanted.
TEARFULLY:
I literally can't believe it.
I know that some days
you end up in the bedroom
because you can't actually
physically get out.
Now I never want to leave it!
Oh, my God,
we've got built-in wardrobes!
Taurean, all your trainers.
The shoes have got their own space.
Oh, my God. Oh, no way!
So these are free-standing wardrobes
that Rob built.
We wanted to
put your clothes out, Kirsty,
so that they make you feel good,
because I know how much
you struggled in the warehouse
just even looking at your clothes.
But you deserve to feel
happy and beautiful
when you're getting ready
in the mornings.
I don't know what to say.
It doesn't feel like it's my room.
You know, this is going to give me
so much peace of mind,
just being able to go out to work
and not worry about her
tripping over anything, or...
I mean, that was the ultimate goal
for us as well,
to get it off the floors
and put your mind at rest.
It is so...
SIGHS HEAVILY
This is amazing.
Like, honestly, I feel like
I'm in a hotel room right now.
I don't feel like I'm in my house.
It's beautiful.
It is absolutely amazing.
The whole house is just perfect.
Downstairs, the team wait for
the family's verdict.
CHEERING
Thank you so much.
Oh, guys... Hello.
Guys! Did you love it?
Did you love it?
Yeah, I love it!
Thank you very much.
Literally, every single one of you,
thank you so, so, so much.
You're welcome. We love you.
You genuinely deserve it.
Such a long seven days,
but it's been worth
every single second.
I genuinely believe that everything
we've done in that house
is just going to completely
change their lives.
So, yeah, that was just amazing.
That was the best feeling ever,
walking through that house.
We can't thank you enough.
Ayyy! Group hug!
I can't wait to get home from work.
Nothing's left
lying around any more.
To have a safe space, it's great.
In the kitchen, I'm able to reach
and manoeuvre around
and I don't need anybody
to assist me any more.
The boys' bedroom...
Boys' bedroom's slipped!
It's hard to keep that clean,
but I think that's
just because they play so much.
But they're able to get their school
uniform together by themselves.
They know where their shoes are.
For the first time, I've known
my 17-year-old son make his bed.
I'm gobsmacked at that,
and every morning he does it,
I'm still in shock.
He's still doing it?
You walk by, you're like...
Kaiets, with
the laundry improvements,
that's made a massive difference
to her.
The laundry, everything's got
its own little place.
I love thinking that, like,
this is actually my room now.
We've had a lot of visitors, they
come in and don't want to leave.
I'm like, are you not going to...
Time to...
You can't say that!
I can.
Let them know. It's going on TV.
They'll know how I feel
when they come round!
