Post by bunniefuu »

[announcer] Welcome, everyone,
to Perris Auto Speedway

for the Night of Destruction!

Yeah!

There he goes!

[announcer] Number 69,
Danger Dan Pachella,

that yellow Camaro has a lot of speed.

He's weaving his way through the pack!

Demo-cross driver Dangerous Dan,
big fan favorite, needed a new car

for his season opener,

and we made him

one badass, post-apocalyptic
Camaro Z28 Demolition Mobile.

[all] Yeah!

Besides the 20 grand
we're getting in trade for the car,

there's another ten grand on the line
if Dan comes in first, second, or third.

Here we go! Dan's in fourth place!
Come on!

[announcer] There's still
a few laps to go.

There's cars and junk all over the track
from one end to the other!

[Mark whistles]

There we go!

[Caveman] Oh, right here!

-[thuds]
-[all groan]

[announcer] That was a big-time hit
on Dangerous Dan Pachella!

[jeering]

[Tony] He's such a huge target out there.
They're all trying to get him!

[Caveman] Oh, look! Look!

[all exclaiming]

And he's right back on it!

[cheering]

That man can drive!

[announcer] There's a lot of junk
on the race track.

The surviving cars are weaving in!

Look, he's in third place!

[crowd cheering]

[announcer] Two laps left
and Dangerous Dan's coming up fast!

-Come on, Dan!
-[Shawn] Come on, Dan!

-He's flying!
-[Shawn] Yes!

[Mark] We're getting that bonus.

[rock music playing]

[engine revving]

[thuds]

[Caveman] Oh!

[announcer] Look out!

-[Shawn] Oh!
-[all groaning]

[Caveman] Oh, man!

[announcer] Car 69 just got clobbered!

[crowd groaning]

[Tony] He's got no steering!

Is the front end smashed in,
the front corner?

-[Mark] Yeah.
-[Shawn] It's touching the tire.

[announcer] Looks like
a front axle problem

for Dangerous Dan Pachella!

That's a bummer.

[announcer] Doesn't look like
number 69's coming out of that, folks!

Coming off turn number four,
number six car takes it down the front.

Three-way
for the checkered flag for the win!

[crowd cheering]

[announcer] Thank you, guys,
for coming out!

[music ends]

[upbeat music playing]

-Nice race, Dan! Nice race, brother!
-[Dan] Thank you!

-You looked good there!
-Thanks.

Yeah, man, that was awesome!

[Jake] You were hauling, dude!

-[Caveman laughing]
-On the target!

Kind of sucks,
but it's part of the race, right?

-Racing's racing. It is what it is.
-Yeah. It is.

We built the hell out of that Camaro.

Unfortunately, there were
much bigger vehicles out there,

and they were all just gunning for Dan.

He took a massive hit
to the front suspension

and wiped out his steering,

but it's fixable,
and Dan will live to race another day.

-[Mark] So how'd it run?
-It ran real good.

-Yeah? Good.
-It did good out there.

Didn't take much
to be the crowd favorite again, did it?

Everybody saw the hearse, knew the hearse.

Everybody sees this car.
They know this car.

It's the crowd favorite again,
and that's what I'm going after.

[Dan] Gotham really pulled through.
They did an amazing job.

Without a lot of time, Mark and the guys
pulled it off, and I'm happy.

Can't ask for no more.

Shawn, you're gonna have
to give him a call tomorrow

and figure out when we can go out there
and do a little dumpster diving.

Yeah! Yeah!

Since Dan didn't quite make it
to the podium tonight,

looks like the bonus is off the table,

but with 20 grand in trade
at a salvage yard,

you can never go wrong.

-Thank you very much, my friend.
-Thank you.

Looking forward to visiting you
at your wrecking yard.

-Sounds good.
-[Shawn] Nice job.

Thank you.

Keep the tires on fire. [laughs]

[Dan] Good night, guys.

[tools whirring]

[engine revs]

[rock music playing]

[Mark] Last night was pretty cool, man.
Those guys really get after it.

-[Tony] Dangerous Dan was awesome.
-[Caveman laughs]

[Mark] So, let's finish this balloon.

We were in the middle of prepping
a Corvette hot-air balloon

for our client, Rusty,
so we can trade it for his Bronco.

Then it was all hands on deck
to get the demo-cross car done,

but now, it's time
to get back to the balloon.

It's back from paint.
It's definitely Plum Crazy purple.

-You'll definitely notice this in the sky.
-[Constance] Right?

-[all laugh]
-Yeah.

So we need to bolt it onto the basket,

put all the parts on where they go,
lift the whole mechanism in the air,

and see if it's balanced
or if it leans to one side.

-[Jake] Let's go.
-Let's get this thing rigged.

[tools whirring]

[Mark] This hot-air balloon build
was such a major ordeal

because the FAA still deems this
a flying aircraft.

That's good.

Their regulations say

we can't structurally alter the basket
to get our car body mounted,

but we had several creative solutions.

-[Caveman] Hello.
-[Constance laughs]

[Constance] There you go.

-[Mark] All righty.
-[whirring]

And the last step is making sure
we have the proper weight distribution,

because if this thing tilts heavily
to one side, thousands of feet in the air…

[tools whirring]

…Houston, we got a problem.

[Mark] Let's get it in there.
Just go up real slow.

-[Jake] Well, it's coming up even.
-Man, look at that.

[Jake] Dude, how do you nail that
on the first shot?

'Cause I'm an old guy.
I've been doing this a long time.

-[Jake] Wow.
-It's crazy. A floating Corvette.

Now all we gotta do is
get the finishing touches on it,

and it's time for a test flight.

Yeah!

[rock music playing]

[Mark] I feel confident our structure
will hold together just fine.

But the moment of truth is tomorrow.

Rusty has invited us out
at the crack of dawn

to take a test flight.

[music fades away]

[wind blowing]

[rock music playing]

[crow cawing]

[whirring]

[Rusty] Great job, guys.

I've been doing this for 30 years,
never seen anything like this.

You look ready to go.

I don't know about you guys,
but I'm ready to test this thing.

[Caveman] All right.

When I saw the Corvette balloon
and how they built it,

the work they did,
the way they attached it, it impressed me.

And it's an aircraft.
They had to go by specs.

The attachments look right,

but these guys have never
built a balloon before,

so we'll just have to see if it holds up,

and weather conditions right now
look great.

Well, who wants to go up?
I can only take three of you.

[Constance] I'll stay here.

-[Mark] I'm going.
-What?

Caveman, you look too good
to stay on the ground.

-[Shawn] Let's go.
-[Constance] Have fun.

-Yeah.
-[Caveman] All right!

-Ready to go up, up, and away?
-[Caveman] I'm ready.

[Shawn] Yeah, let's do this.

[pensive music playing]

[whooshing]

[Caveman] Bro, yeah! [laughs]

[Shawn] Now we're talking.

[Constance] Oh, my gosh.

[Shawn] Nice.

-[Caveman] Wow!
-[Constance laughs]

[Jake] That's crazy how leveled that sits.

[Caveman] So cool up here!

-How do we look?
-[Tony] Looking pretty good, guys.

[Tony] The rig is holding up great,
and it's balanced.

That extra work
on the underneath was worth it.

-[Mark] Time to let go.
-[Shawn] Yeah.

[Caveman laughs]

[adventurous music playing]

[Caveman] This is way cool.

[laughs]

[Mark] This is awesome.

-[Shawn] There they are. Way over there.
-[Caveman laughs]

-[Tony] We really did it.
-[Jake] We sure did.

-[Shawn laughs]
-[Caveman whoops]

[Rusty] What do you think?

-What do you think?
-One of a kind.

[Shawn] So, the rig's holding.

That means
the Bronco comes home with us, right?

-There we go. We got ourselves a deal.
-Oh… We got ourselves a deal.

Great job. Thirty years doing this,
never seen anything like it.

-[Mark] Awesome.
-[Shawn] Heck yeah.

[Rusty] As much as I love that Bronco,
I'm happy with the trade.

They did a great job.

[Mark] Well, let's just go sailing.

-[Shawn] Yeah.
-[laughs]

[music resumes]

This is the most important.
Gotta get it done now.

-[Shawn] I'm out of here. Watch your toes.
-[engine starts]

-Yeah, I'm gonna stand on it.
-[Caveman] Yeah, get on the trailer, Mark.

[Mark] A little more, little more. Stop.

[Jake] Perfect.

[Mark] That's good.

So basically,
we have to add this bed to that.

That'd be cool. That'd be so different.

[Mark] We're not mating
a pickup truck to a pickup truck.

We're mating a pickup truck to a Bronco.
Two different animals.

There's gonna be all kinds of changes
that go on underneath this thing.

WhistlePig wants a whiskey-tasting vehicle

that people can actually sit inside
and taste their product,

and now that we've secured
a new truck bed and axle,

we should be able to execute

on making this a one-of-a-kind,
open-air, mobile whiskey-tasting room.

[dramatic music playing]

To make that happen,

we're gonna cut the Bronco's bed
just behind the rear wheels

and add the second trunk bed,

essentially creating a stretched Bronco.

By adding a third axle and wheels,
we'll turn this truck into a six-by-six.

The folding countertops
will also double as benches,

where people can come inside
and enjoy that smooth WhistlePig whiskey.

And one of the key features
of this whole build,

WhistlePig has sent us
real whiskey barrels

to be featured on the truck.

I want Tony to create
a hidden whiskey delivery system

that will emerge
from a real WhiskeyPig barrel,

full of whiskey bottles
and tasting glasses.

And finally, because this will be
a real overland camper vehicle

that you can actually take
into the wilderness,

we're gonna add some camping accents
like a tent on the top,

a stove in the back,
and a custom WhistlePig cooler.

[whistle blows]

-[Mark] Caveman.
-What?

-It's ready to cut up.
-[Caveman] Hell yeah!
