- [Amy Voiceover] I don't know what it is but

lately things are different between Eric and me.

It's fine if we're surfing or doing the things he likes,

but if I want to do something, just the two of us,

he's always got some excuse.

- [Mike] All right, everyone got everything for the game?

- Ball. - Chips.

- Shirts.

- Wicked.

- [Corey] Mike, where'd you get these?

- Ordered them for the big match.

- [Amy Voiceover] Like Saturday night is footie night,

and footie nights you spend with your mates.

- How do I look?

- I won't ask why you need that to watch TV.

- She doesn't get it.

- Uh-uh. - How could she not get it?

- [Eric] Hey, is that dirty?

- Yeah.

- I'll just give you my shirt.

- Sure.

- Actually, no, no, no, hang on.

I might as well give you these as well.

- [Amy Voiceover] We used to do

all this great stuff together,

ferry rides, picnics, slow walks on the beach.

Now, I wash his dirty socks.

- Goal! (cheering)

- [Amy Voiceover] But not anymore.

(rock music)

- And over for a hamstring stretch.

So are we all aware of the Surf Club Ball this weekend?

- You coming, Simmo?

- Black tie's not really my scene.

But a magazine called and it's clearly theirs.

They want to do a fashion spread with you guys.

- That's so cool.

- I knew you'd like the idea, Amy.

Told them they could find

a much better looking bunch elsewhere, but--

- You, better not have.

- But Solar Blue are keen for the publicity

and the mag said they'd chip in five grand

towards new surf equipment.

- So does that mean we have to wear

all the formal gear?

- What's wrong with that?

- Nothing, if you want to look like goose.

- It's just dressing up.

It's something special.

Or do you have a problem with things being special?

Are we finished?

- Amy slow down.

Aims, please.

Have I done something wrong?

- [Amy] No.

- It's the soccer, isn't it?

- Where are we going?

You and me?

- What, now?

- Us!

Our relationship.

- Do we have to go anywhere.

- Yes, hopefully, otherwise what's the point?

- Amy, we're still in school.

It's not like we're about to get married.

- It's not about getting married.

- Oh, thank goodness for that.

What's the problem?

We have fun together, don't we?

- I fun with Brooke.

I'm not gonna go out with her.

- Um, Aims, I'm confused.

- Forget I even said anything.

Like you said, we're still at school.

This is just a casual thing, right?

- Yeah, I guess.

- Great, that's sorted.

You know, you should really take out some other girls,

have some fun.

I certainly intend to.

- Nah, I don't think--

(heavy sighing)

- [Heath Voiceover] Dear Fly, I feel weird writing this,

but I'll feel weirder if I don't tell you.

- OK Amy, this looks personal.

Whatever you do, do not keep reading.

- [Heath Voiceover] After all, you are my best friend.

I've met someone, a girl.

Her name is Annabelle.

- Heath, you've got to be kidding.

- What are you doing?

- Nothing, noth, uh,

my bag, it bumped the computer and

this came up.

- You read my email?

- No, no.

Yeah.

It's just, you and Heath seem to have this

perfect relationship.

- Like I said, we didn't write a rule book for each other.

He obviously thought it was over, which it clearly is.

- Fly, I am so sorry.

- It's fine.

(guitar music)

I get to hear all about his new girlfriend, which is great.

- Are you OK?

- Please,

don't read my stuff ever again.

(guitar music)

like the fashion sh**t tomorrow.

- Yeah, you're right.

- Hey Fly, what are you wearing to the dance tomorrow night?

- Oh, I'm not going.

- What?

- Fly, you have to come.

- Can you guys be on time for training this hour?

We've got a lot to get through.

OK, I'm gonna time you.

Three sprints up the beach and back.

- We'd rather not.

- Sorry?

- I'm running a training session here.

- We want to help you.

- Well, there's no need.

(beeping) On your marks--

- We know about Heath.

- Great.

- No.

It's just, we think you should come tomorrow night.

It would be a good way of forgetting about him.

And it will be no fun without you.

- Is anyone interested in training?

- We actually had other plans.

(rock music)

- Uh, great.

- Yeah, we're actually arguing that we should change

out national flag.

and you know, how they're so important

in everyday life.

It's a bit abstract, but I think it's still relevant.

- Sorry, could you say that again?

Whenever you want to go and have a private word

there's always three of their friends there

talking as well.

Give me some of that, I need as much help as I can get.

- Be careful, that's really strong.

- Oh, that's nasty.

(coughing)

- Something smells.

- Someone got too much aftershave on?

- Yeah, me.

- No, it's not you. - Shhh.

- Hi, I'm Chris, your photographer.

- [All Girls] Hi!

- [All Boys] Hi.

(upbeat music)

- Is it normal I want to punch this guy?

- Entirely normal, but not something you ought to do.

(upbeat music)

- Great guys, really nice.

Any other couples want their photo together?

- No.

(upbeat music)

(splashing)

- All right mate, you want a hand?

- Hope they let you in with those?

- It's not my fault they didn't have any spare shoes.

Who invited him?

- [Mike] It's all part of the gig.

He can take photos with us all night.

- Great.

(upbeat music)

- You look fantastic, by the way.

- Thank you.

(rock music)

- So um, one question, who was that guy in the photo

the other day at the beach?

- Just a friend.

- Um, he looked like a good friend.

- Can you excuse me?

- Can you believe that guy tried to help me out at the pool?

- [Corey] Wasn't he being helpful?

- What, so now you're on his side?

- I didn't know there were sides.

(rock music)

- I'm going home.

- No, mate, you're not going home.

Going home would be the loser option.

- I'm going home, Mike.

- Ahh.

(rock music)

(water runs)

(dryer blows)

- Ouch.

How is anyone supposed to walk in these things?

(knocking)

- [Brooke] Fly, is that you in there?

- No.

- There's a very handsome boy outside looking for you.

- Really?

- Yeah.

You seem to be more interested

in hanging out in the toilet cubicle.

Don't you think that's a little bit weird?

(dance music)

- So, what made you get into photography?

- I don't know, I've always loved it.

I think it's the way one photograph

can tell a whole story.

I mean, like Fly and Luke.

- Luke, what's his story?

- It's about a guy who likes a girl.

- Really?

- Yeah.

- What happens next?

- I guess we'll have to wait and see.

(squeaking)

- You're a loser Eric, don't deny it.

(dramatic music)

- OK, Mr. Photographer,

you've been taking snaps of us all night,

what about you?

- What do you wan to know?

- I don't know, first thing that pops into your head.

- OK.

How about this, there's a girls sitting opposite me

who is gorgeous

and funny

and nice

and I'd really like to take her out,

but I'm scared if I ask her, she'll say no.

I was here before.

I was with a group, they must be here somewhere.

It must have fallen out of my pocket

when I was at home.

I had to have a shower 'cause I had too much aftershave on

and it smelled really bad and it wouldn't come off

even though I fell in the pool,

which, as I was saying, is the reason why

I don't have the appropriate footwear.

There is a girl in there and I really, really like her.

- [Eric Voiceover] Get dressed.

Your favorite dress is washed and ironed

- Fancy a picnic?

- Aren't you a little overdressed for a picnic?

- Oh, it's a special occasion.

- Eric-- - Wait, just...

Please sit down.

(heavy sighing)

These past few weeks, I've been a pig.

Soccer with the mates, throwing dirty socks at you,

basically taking you completely for granted.

- Yep.

- Yep.

What I'm trying to say is, if you wanna take

what's-his-name out tonight, that is up to you.

But, I like you a lot.

A lot, a lot and I don't want to see other people.

So-- - Eric.

- What?

- I told Chris I couldn't go out with him.

- Why?

- Last night, when you left, I saw you help that girl,

the one whose drink spilled all over her.

- So, what are you saying, you like my cleaning skills?

- No, you big goose.

I like your kindness.

The way you help someone without giving it a second thought.

- You think that's special?

- Special enough to give you a second chance.

- Wait a second, you let me think that Chris dude

was in with a chance.

- Well, worth letting you sweat a bit.

- I don't know, it's such a beautiful day
