- Sometimes I think my life here Solar Blue

is pretty close to perfect.

I mean here I am, living at the beach!

Doing a thing that I love best, surfing.

Plus I get to hang out with this great bunch of friends.

And I haven't even mentioned the best part of all.

(Grungy-surfer-rock theme plays)

- (Adam, voiceover) Yeah its hard to imagine life

getting any better than this.

In fact things are so good its like I want to press

the pause button so I can hold onto everything

just the way it is. The only trouble is,

life doesn't have a pause button.

Things are always going to change,

and in ways that you don't expect.

- (Adam) Feel like doing something special tomorrow?

- Why have you got something planned?

- I might have.

- Oooh, come on Adam, tell me!

(both laugh)

- Okay, well, I heard about this out of the way

surf spot up near national park.

Beautiful beach, beautiful break,

and hardly anyone goes there.

- Sounds like paradise.

- So how would you like to spend the day in paradise?

- Just the two of us?

- Yeah, what do you think?

- I think that is an offer too good to refuse.

♪ Dance on the shore, cause the ocean is the key. ♪

- You've got to step on it guys I think Gary's

getting impatient.

(car horn blasts)

- Sounds like it.

- You guys going somewhere?

- You can't be serious?

- Its the big weekend away.

- Oh I thought that was next weekend!

- So did I.

- Well you better move it, you were supposed to

leave five minutes ago.

- Sorry, there goes our day trip.

- Never mind, plenty more Sundays.

- Come on you lot! I am out that gate in five,

anyone who's not ready gets left behind.

Adam, Cassie, where are your bags?

- Upstairs?

- Mine too!

- Well they're not much good up there are they?

- We're on it!

- (Cassie) Hey, cheer up. It may not be just the two of us

but its still a trip away.

- Oh woo-hoo a weekend away at an adventure run by

a mate of Gary's! Sounds awesome man.

- Hey, Gary what is this training camp anyway?

- Well the finals are one month away,

so from next week its full on preparation.

Its gonna get pretty intense.

So this weekend is your last chance to clear your

heads out guys.

I want you to throw yourselves into this camp.

Forget about surfing, and come back refreshed

and ready for anything.

- So Gary who's this mate of yours that runs the

place we're going to?

- His name's Dan and he's a bit of a live wire.

- Oh does that mean he's gonna give us a bit of

the shock treatment?

(rest groan)

- (Girl) Really?

- I'll let you find that out for yourselves.

(engine revs)

(Dan laughs)

- (Dan) Gazzah!

- Dan the man!

(Gary offscreen) How are ya buddy?

- (Dan) You made it?

- (Gary) You betcha.

- Only just, by the look of your wheels.

- Oh yeah, good on ya.

- That's Dan? He's a bit younger than I expected.

And a little bit cuter.

- (Cassie) Just what I was thinking.

- (Adam) He's cute.

Do you guys get that.

- (Charlie) Don't Ask Me.

- (Guy) Well its a girl thing obviously.

- (Gary) Okay everyone, this is Dan.

Dan, this is everyone.

- Hi - (Kids) Hi.

- Now guys I really want you to follow Dan's instructions.

But beyond that just have fun.

Now mate if they give you any trouble,

you have my permission to lock em up and throw away the key.

- I'm sure it won't come to that.

- Ha ha, okay guys I'll see you

tomorrow night, behave yourselves.

- (Kids) Bye, see ya!

- (Dan) Welcome to camp guys!

First I should warn you that training here is very

different from what you're used to.

I like to shake people out of their comfort zones

physically and mentally.

So expect the unexpected, but is should

also be a lot of fun, if you take the right attitude.

That's the key, mental attitude.

Now for my first trick I need a volunteer.

(clean solo electric guitar)

How bout you?

- Me? Uh, do I have a choice?

- Yes you can either volunteer or be volunteered.

What's it to be?

- Guess I'll volunteer.

- That's the spirit we like to see. And your name is?

- Ah, Cassie.

- Okay Cassie, I'm going to throw these ba*ls

at you, fast, just catch them and put them

in this bucket, okay?

- Right

- Don't worry, you'll be fine. Here goes!

- Good, keep going!

(group laughing & cheering)

- (Boy) Cass!

- (Girl) Come on!

- (Group) oh!

- Good! Keep going!

- (Cassie) You are going down!

- (Dan) That's It!

- (Group) Oh!

- (Dan) Good!

Okay keep going!

- (Boy) Catch 'em! Go on Cassie, catch em!

(Cassie screaming, group laughing)

- (Dan) Sorry Cassie, that was a mean trick,

but you did really well.

Like I said, expect the unexpected.

Have a towel.

- Thank you.

- What did Cassie do even after I tossed those water bombs?

- Uh, she got wet?

- Anything else?

- She kept going.

- Right, she laughed and took it in her stride.

And that's the kind of attitude I'm after here.

No matter what happens you keep on going.

Well done Cassie take a bow, you're a star.

(Kids applaud)

Okay, I want you to head up to your rooms, unpack,

and get ready for the obstacle course in ten.

- Hey you okay?

- Yeah, just a bit wet that's all.

- Man, Dan's a bit over the top don't you reckon?

- Yeah but he's fun, and this camp sounds great.

- Just don't let him bully you, kay?

- Bully me, why would he do that?

- I dunno, its just some of these boot camp guys

they get a bit carried away, that's all.

- Don't worry I'm sorry we'll be able to handle

anything he throws at us.

- Cool.

- I'll see you soon okay?

- Yeah.

- (Adam Voicover) Cassie was right of course.

We could handle whatever he threw at us.

So why was I worried?

(Flashback trills)

Was it because Dan had chosen Cassie for his little trick?

Or was it because of the way he smiled at her.

Whatever it was, this uneasy feeling started

growing in my stomach.

(Grungy solo guitar)

- (Dan) This is it, the t*rture track.

The idea is you do it in two person teams.

One section at a time, against the clock.

- So its a competition?

- (Dan) Not exactly.

Its more about individual achievement

than beating anyone else.

Now, I need you to form into teams,

one girl and one boy in each. Go!

Let me guess this is who you're most comfortable

being paired up with right?

- (Guy) Yeah.

- (Charlie) yep.

- (Dan) In that case I'm going to mix it up a bit.

Cassie, you go with Charlie. Lauren you go with Guy.

And Bridget goes with Adam.

- (Adam) I don't get it why can't we choose our own teams?

- It's simple, I'm trying to get you guys

to engage in new experiences.

You can't do that if you stay

locked into your regular habits.

- Yeah but who are team members are isn't going to

effect that, is it?

- Hey, I can understand why you'd wanna be on Cassie's team.

Who wouldn't? But I'd prefer you to do it my way okay?

- I still don't get the logic of it.

- Adam, leave it.

- (Adam Voiceover) I knew I was being a pain,

but I couldn't help it. This guy was clearly wanting

to suck up to Cassie on the one hand.

And get me out of the way on the other.

- All right, whatever, we'll do it your way.

- Good, now lets get started!

♪ Did you ever? No I never ever ever ever did I think. ♪

- (Cassie) Go!

♪ We would start the day - Go! ♪

- (Girl) Nice!

- (Cassie) Five seconds!

- (Charlie) Go go go!

- (Lauren) Come on go!

seconds, come on Guy!

- (Dan) How's that, feeling okay?

- (Cassie) Yeah that's good.

- Okay go for it! Okay guys, lets go.

- (Cassie) Go Charlie!

- (Dan) Good, that's it well done Cass!

- (Guy) What'd we get what'd we get?

- (Lauren) !

- Wooooo!

♪ New world record, new world record... ♪

- (Dan) That's it, whoa ooh, that's okay.

- (Bridget) Adam, come on!

(laughs)

- (Lauren) Whoa!

- (Adam Voiceover) As the day went on

Dan kept paying more attention to Cassie than anyone else.

It was becoming pretty obvious what his intentions were.

- (Bridget) ah! Am I nearly there?

- Yeah, keep going.

- Times up! Go on everyone give yourselves

a round of applause.

(kids applaud)

Now there's one more section of the course to go,

my favorite! Follow me!

♪ (organ note slides off) ♪

(evening wildlife chitters)

- (Lauren) What is that?

- (Guy) It's a Flying Fox!

- (Dan) Nah, believe it or not, it's a rope bridge.

- We don't have to cross it do we?

- That's the idea. Which team wants to stick their

neck out and go first?

- We will.

- (Dan) You sure?

- (Cassie) Yeah, well why not?

We have to do it sooner or later.

- (Dan) Good on ya, Cassie. I knew I could count on you.

Here you go.

♪ (Guitar and drums) ♪

♪ No end in sight. ♪

- (Dan) Keep going Cass you're doing great!

How is she doing for time?

- (Charlie) Just over a minute.

♪ No end in sight. ♪

♪ No end in sight. ♪

- Cassie you okay?

- My safety rope's caught,

its not gonna let me go any further.

- (Charlie) What should we do then?

- The safety rope must be stuck on burr in the cable.

See if you can flick it over.

- (Cassie) okay.

- I don't think I can balance with one hand.

Might need some help.

- I'll go.

- It's all right Adam, there's no real danger.

Worst that can happen is that she'll go for a swim.

Gimme a boost.

Hang in there Cassie, rescue squad is on its way.

♪ No end in sight! ♪

All right, you're okay.

Okay, lets see what we can do.

Can't get enough slack.

I'm gonna have to release your harness.

- Okay.

♪ Tail wind is pushing me high. ♪

(Cassie screams)

♪ No end in sight. ♪

(laughing and clapping)

- (Guy) Yeah!

- Cassie are you okay?

- Yeah she's fine she's with Dan.

- Yeah I know.

- (Adam Voiceover) This was the moment I knew

I hadn't been imagining things.

Dan had decided to make himself the big hero

in Cassie's eyes.

And she was falling for it hook, line, and sinker.

Every thing was going out of control,

and I had no idea how to stop it.

♪ (acoustic guitar strumming) ♪

♪ (Cassie) Turning around, turning upside down. ♪

♪ Bring a smile out of the frown. ♪

♪ Open your eyes to the openness of the deep blue skies ♪

- (Adam Voiceover) This morning Cassie and I were

as close as anyone.

And in less than a day this boofhead had parachuted in

and was splitting us up.

♪ Its a beautiful life, its a beautiful time ♪

♪ While the sun shines. ♪

(cheering and clapping)

- (Dan) That's beautiful!

Somebody get this girl a recording contract!

- (Cassie) Aw I wish!

- No I'm serious!

- (Adam Voiceover) The guy is such a fake!

- Adam!

- (Adam Voiceover) why can't Cassie see that?

- Adam, think we could finish before dawn?

- Yeah, okay, sorry.

- So you get to travel all over the world?

- Pretty much, I teach Kayaking in Canada,

skiing in France and Japan.

- Wow, and I thought pro surfers had it good.

- (Adam) 'Scuse me, but um, don't mean to interrupt,

can I have a word with Cassie?

- (Cassie) Yeah Sure.

- (Dan) Who's up for some stargazing?

Come on the night sky out here is awesome!

- (Guy) Cool!

- So, what's up!

- Oh, nothing just thought I'd rescue you from

Captain Enthusiasm over here chewing your ear off all night.

- No he is amazing, did you know he has qualifications

in ski instructing, kayaking, and scuba diving.

- Yeah well he totally gets on my nerves.

- Why, what's your problem with him?

- The guys a big-head, he's so full of himself

that he's about to explode.

- No he's not.

- What about his training course?

Totally pointless if you ask me.

- Well I think its good.

What's wrong with learning how to cope with the unexpected?

- It's just sales talk, which is about as empty as his head.

- Come off it Adam why are you being so negative?

Its really boring.

- Well sorry if I bore you.

- Okay I didn't mean it like that

- Well how did you mean it?

- Okay I'm tired, and you're tired.

Lets just call it a night okay?

- (Adam Voiceover) Good one Adam, you tried to turn her

off Mr. Enthusiasm and all you've done

is turn her off yourself.

What an idiot.

(Horses braying)

- So what have we got? - Did you guys hear

those possums last night?

They were so huge I swear I thought the ceiling

was going to collapse.

- (Dan) Morning All

- (Guy) Hey Dan.

- Horses are ready and waiting but before we head off

I have to ride off to shut the top gate.

Who wants to come with me?

- I'll come.

- (Dan) Okay Cassie, when you're ready, come and saddle up.

- Cool

- Do you think this is such a good idea?

- Yeah sure, why not?

- You're not the most experienced rider are you?

- No but Dan will be with me I'll be fine.

- (Adam) Look I just don't want you to get hurt or anything.

The guy is an airhead.

He'll have you galloping and taking at all sorts of risks.

- Adam I don't know what's wrong with you

but we're just going to shut the gate.

Its not into the Melbourne Cup.

Stop being such a spoil sport.

(acoustic guitar rolls along)

- (Dan) Go'n get. You're a bit quiet this morning.

Something on your mind?

- These weekends you run, do they have

a negative effect on some people?

- Sometimes, not everyone likes being

taken out of their cocoon. Why?

- Ah, no reason.

- (Dan) Anyone we know?

- Sorry?

- Is there someone in particular you're worried about?

- No, no one in particular.

- The gates at the top of this hill.

- Gets a bit tricky coming down,

so it might be best if you wait here for me.

- Okay

- (Guy) This horse riding trek sounds great,

how far are we going?

- (Lauren) About or k's Dan said.

- (Guy) Is that all?

- (Bridget) It's through bushland it's not going

to be a walk in the park.

- (Guy) Hey Adam we're going to go check out

the horses you coming?

- Ah yes, Danger Dan's

exciting new activity for this morning!

- What's you're problem the guys not that bad?

- All right whatever, the sooner we start

the sooner we can finish, yeah?

- What's up with him this morning?

- I dunno, he's been slightly weird since we got here.

- He'll get over it,

come on I want to go riding!

(Horse Neighs)

- Hey, isn't that the horse Cassie was riding?

- Yeah it is!

- (Adam) I told her she shouldn't have gone!

- (Charlie) Whoa whoa who whoa.

- Why didn't she listen

- Oy take it easy man.

- Dan was with her, I'm sure he'd look out for her.

- Why does everyone just think Dan is just so infallible?

- Hang on lets not panic I'll give her mobile a call.

- (Lauren) Here's Dan now.

- (Dan) Is Cassie here?

- (Charlie) No, just her horse.

- Her mobile's going to voicemail.

- What happened to her? Where is she?

You were be supposed to be looking after her.

Didn't you realize she wasn't good with horses?

- (Charlie) Whoa Adam give the guy a break.

- No, this is his fault.

- I tell you what, lets leave the recrimination

for later all right?

Right now we need to organize a search?

Bridget and Adam you take this trail.

Charlie and Lauren you take this one.

Guy you come with me. Everybody stay into touch

on their mobiles, okay?

Lets get moving guys.

- Get up!

(horse neighs)

- Cassie!

- Cassie!

- (Charlie) Cassie!

- (Dan) Whoooo-weeee! Cassie!

- Yell out if you can hear us!

(bird screeching)

- Cassie!

- Shh, Listen!

- Whoa whoa whoa whoa.

- (Cassie off screen) Hello!

- Did you hear that?

- Cassie is that you?

- (Cassie off scree) I'm over here!

- Its her!

- Its coming from that direction.

Lets go come on, (clicks tongue)

- (Lauren) Cassie!

- (Charlie) Cassie!

- (Cassie) Oh, over here!

- (Lauren) Cassie!

- I am so glad to see you guys!

- Are you okay?

- Oh, bit sore from falling off, that's all.

- (Lauren) What happened?

- Well my horse bolted, and I got knocked off.

Luckily my phone was there to break the fall.

- (Charlie) Were you hurt?

- Only my pride.

- Well that's not hard to fix.

- You poor thing, jump on I'll double you back.

- Thanks Lauren

- I'll call Dan and let him know you're safe.

- (Adam) Yeah! Whoa! Whoa!

(horse brays)

Cassie, are you okay?

- Fine.

- I was so worried about you, we all were.

- I'm sorry to have given you such trouble.

- Trouble, don't be ridiculous.

We're just glad that nothing serious happened to you.

Me especially.

- Thanks.

- You don't seem that happy to see me.

- Heard you had a pretty serious go at Dan.

- So? He was supposed to be looking after you.

- Look its not his fault.

He told me to wait and I didn't.

I took the horse for a trot, it bolted,

and I'm the one to blame not him.

- Well I didn't know that.

- Yeah, well now you do.

And I think you owe Dan an apology.

- Yeah right apologize to Dan, I'll meet you there.

- What is that supposed to mean?

- Well the guy still acted stupidly.

He shouldn't have left you, he could see

that you were an inexperienced rider.

- Listen Adam I don't know what's going through your head

but I'm over it.

And if you can't bring yourself to apologize then...

- Well then what?

- Then you're not the person I thought I knew.

(acoustic guitar plucks)

- (Dan) Good, good, now keep your center of gravity.

Just like surfing, very good!

(Bridget screams)

- (Guy) Nice. - (Charlie) Here you go bro.

- (Guy) Cheers. Hey mate, you look a bit down what's up?

- Oh nothing, I'm fine.

- Really? You don't exactly look like

you're having a barrel of laughs.

- Yeah well, I don't suppose you would either.

If someone was making a play for your girlfriend.

- What're you talking about?

- (Dan) Okay Cassie, how we doing?

BOO! (Cassie screams)

- (Adam) Pretty obvious isn't it?

- Cassie & Dan?

- He's been flirting with her every chance he gets.

- Flirting?

- Oh, come on you have to have noticed it.

- (Dan) what would happen if this wiggled just a little bit?

- You mean like what he's doing with Lauren right now?

And what he was doing with Bridget about thirty seconds ago?

Dude, Dan's the kind of guy who just likes joking around.

With everyone. Its completely innocent.

- Yeah well you obviously haven't

been seeing what I've been seeing.

- Look I may not be the most sensitive guy on the planet.

But if something was going on

don't you think I would have spotted it?

Or at least one of the girls would have?

- What have I been seeing then?

- I don't know, but whatever it is, its all in your head.

- (Adam Voiceover) What what Guy said the truth?

Or had Dan fooled him too? I mean,

I'd seen what I'd seen. I couldn't of go it that wrong.

(Girls cheering)

- (Dan) And the final two awards go to Cassie and Adam!

(group cheering & laughing)

- Cassie gets the prize for most impressive high dive.

- Thank you

- And for Adam, most improved dishwasher.

- Yeah lets give it up for Dan everyone.

(group cheering)

- Listen mate, for some reason you and I didn't exactly

click this weekend, did we?

- Oh well, can't win 'em all I guess?

- That's okay I don't expect to. But whatever crime

I've committed in your eyes, real or imagined, I

suggest you don't dwell on it.

- Look I had a go at you when Cassie went missing.

But then I found out that it wasn't your fault.

So I'm sorry for that.

- Forget it, it was your girlfriend, so you were upset.

But I hope you've learned something from the experience.

- (Adam Voiceover) Okay Adam admit it, you blew it.

At the start of the weekend your life was almost perfect.

Within two days you've made a total idiot of yourself.

And probably lost your girlfriend to boot.

Well done mate.

- That's pretty much my whole story.

I was just jealous. I guess I was so up tight about

losing you that I blew everything way out of proportion.

- You didn't trust me.

- Can I ask you something?

How could you possibly think I would ever

be interested in Dan?

- Well you said he was cute and fun.

- Yeah but it doesn't mean I want him to be my boyfriend.

And sure I like cute and fun, but there are a lot of

other things that are much more important.

- I know I should have thought...

- Things like honesty, tolerance, intelligence, generosity.

- I know, I know, I know, I know.

- All things that you have.

- What?

- Why do you think I fell for you in the first place?

- Really?

- Yes! Plus you're cute and fun as well.

- I was pretty horrible this weekend.

- Yeah you were, totally. But now that I know why

its not so bad. In fact it's kind of flattering, really.

- You're serious?

- Yeah, but don't you ever do it again.

And if you do get jealous just tell me.

Because I know the cure.

- There's a cure?

- Yeah, and its a really good one too.

(music swells and wave crashses)

- You're right I think it is a cure,

but I'm gonna need a lot more treatment.

- Ah, don't push your luck.

(both laugh)

- (Adam Voiceover) In the end Cassie and I did

make it to that beach I wanted to visit.

And it turned out to be even better than I'd thought.

- So, what do you think?

- Perfect.

- Are you saying that because its true or

are you saying that because that's what

you think I want to hear?

- Are you saying that you don't trust

me when I tell you something?

(laughs) - oops!

- So ah, watch me kick your but out there!

- (Adam Voiceover) Its true, life doesn't

have a pause button.

Maybe that's not such a bad thing after all.

It means that the only way to go is forward.

I can live with that.
