Meet Katie, a Creative Arts

Specialist

with a passion for colour

and clashing patterns.

Katie and I have been best friends

since we were 13,

so we definitely know each other

inside and out.

And while she's grown up,

I think it's time for her style

to mature, too.

Perhaps less clashing, and more

classy.

I think when people look at me, they

see a lot of colour.

But I wonder how much they see of me

sometimes, maybe.

I recently turned 40,

and I'd love to look stylish

and a bit more polished.

A lot more polished, actually!

To make way for Katie's sleek new

look,

we've prepared the clothes she's

fallen out of love with,

to be sold online.

I'm sure she won't mind.

So does she love the way you dress?

She must, surely. All my clothes,

she's colourful and she's friendly

and she's kind and creative.

And she is the most wonderful person

I've ever met.

So what is it about your style that

you're hoping to change?

This is my comfort zone.

I need to explore, not just putting

absolutely all the colours on at

once.

I think in the same way that

people hide behind, you know,

black, you've worn your clothes a

bit like a suit of armour.

I think people should see less of

this and more of you.

we've given them both the estimated

value of her old clothes

to find her new,

stylish, pre-loved looks.

I love playing with colour

and print,

so what I'm going to do is tone her

down a little.

Think like, I don't know,

a printer that's running out of ink.

There's still a little bit

of colour there, but not too much.

Katie is my pattern clashing babe.

My mission is to strip that back

just a little bit,

but to show her that she can still

inject some personality into

her clothes.

They're a proper shoe.

So it's still colourful, but it's

just toned down slightly

I feel like this would really

compliment your skin tone,

your colour, your hair, everything,

with just a simple white shirt.

really transformative,

and I know Joey loves

styling everybody,

therapist from Maidenhead.

Rahul's character, has always been

really fun and outgoing

but since starting his career, his

clothes are all very serious.

His graduation, however, is coming

up soon

and I'd love to see him in

something sharp, sophisticated,

but still a bit of fun.

I feel like I've really gotten into

a rut with my wardrobe.

My style is quite conservative.

I used to be far more colourful

and far more, sort of charismatic

with what I wore,

but recently I just don't do that.

To help Rahul get back on track,

we've taken the clothes he

no longer wants

and prepared them to be sold online.
