My life is very different.

This is Second-Hand Showdown.

Meet 53-year-old Sandie

from the Cotswolds.

Since coming out as nonbinary

last year Sandie's been on quite

the self-discovery journey.

It's been amazing to see them

embrace their true identity.

They've got such

a vibrant character.

and even though

they've always been very stylish,

I'd like to see more

of their personality

brought out in their wardrobe.

I was very practised

at the old version of me,

but I'm not so practised

at this version of me.

I've got one or two looks down,

but I feel like I'm stuck in a rut

and I think I need some help

to express more of myself.

We've collected some of

the clothes Sandie no longer wants

and prepared them to be sold online,

and I have to say

there's some gorgeous pieces here.

Welcome to your wardrobe.

SANDIE GASPS

Everything's hung up.

It's a lot for some people

when they see it like this.

I'm just like. "Yeah, that's not me

now. That's definitely not me."

So tell me a little bit about

your sense of style.

I presented very feminine

because, if I'm honest,

that worked for me.

It made the people around me

very comfortable.

And I don't want to do that

any more.

I have spent my life

living very comfortably

and very confidently

as a very feminine woman.

It's really hard,

because I can see elements

of everything that's hung up here

that I still really like,

but when you put it all together,

it's just not right.

I think at the core of it,

I was always thinking,

"What would everybody else

feel comfortable with me wearing?"

Not what I would feel

most comfortable wearing

or what communicates the authentic

me to the rest of the world.

We all deserve to feel

like the best, bright,

most authentic versions of

ourselves. Yeah.

And a fantastic way

to do that is through fashion. Yeah.

Sandie's come to the right place.

Our top-tier stylists Joey Bevan

and Sabrina Grant

are waiting in the wings to give

them everything they want and more.

I'm excited about Sandy.

This is a great brief.

Someone who wants to play around

with that masculine and feminine

energy, which I do for myself.

I'm going to serve up some

androgynous Cate Blanchett styles.

We've estimated how much

Sandie's clothes will fetch online.

Sabrina and Joey are each

working with the same amount

to pick up their preloved looks.

Of course, Sandie can pick

only one of their collections

to take home, which is where

the "showdown" bit comes in.

It's not always about the winning.

It's the taking part that counts,

but it's not about that. We're just

happy when we see people

Sandie three fabulous looks,

while Sabrina clocks the competition

OK, so first of all,

a nice black little tank top

to go underneath a white shirt.

So, with this, I've gone for

the full two-piece green suit.

That is nice. But this is not it.

I've added OK.

I hear you like a heel. I do.

Just a pop of colour.

I like that a lot. Yeah, good.

Yeah. The next look

I've gone for is kind of like

an everyday chill outfit that

you can glam up if you need to.

OK. So first of all,

I've got a more slimmer-fitted

white shirt,

mixed with this

like oversized V-neck jumper.

OK. And then I'm teaming it

with this amazing tartan jacket.

I recognise that jacket.

And then to finish it off,

we've got some wide-leg,

sporty denim jeans to go with it.

I like that.

I'm kind of over the moon

that you've seen ME as

a bit of a fashion inspiration

for you with

the tartan jacket there.

I would just like to put

a disclaimer out there

that I did pull that jacket

a while ago.

And then the final look -

we have this really

nice, smart rugby top.

OK. And then I'm going

to double it up.

So you've got the denim jacket

over the top.

I'm going for this like old-vibe mac

with the binding.

And then I've gone for

a nice pair of black cargo pants.

And I went for cargo pants

because of being in the chair -

I just thought it's easier

for access to pockets.

I love a pocket.

And I'm going to team it up

with this amazing silk scarf.

Joey's looks are so exciting.

Shall we try them on? Yep.

I feel very sensible in it.

I really like it a lot.

I don't know if it's got as much

sass as I was expecting.

Even just adding that

it's just a little bit more sassy,

a little bit more cooler.

I am so excited.

So I'm going to get straight

The first look. I've got you

some denim. OK?

They are wide leg. Lovely.

I've got you this cropped shirt.

That is stunning.

The trousers as well

are very soft and very wide leg.

I know this is very stand-out,

so I also got you a b*mber.

And then the third and final look.

This, I just thought, was fabulous.

..which I think is just incredible.

I don't know how I'm supposed

to pick two outfits to try,

let alone anything else.

I think I brought a little bit

more of the masculine energy,

and I think Sabrina's brought

I am finding it really,

really difficult to make a decision.

I'm good. That's all my clothes.

Before, when I was having

a little snoop

because I am a real nosy cow,

I got the impression

it was someone young, fun,

who loved going out and loved

a bit of a party. Yeah, I did.

I used to work in a nightclub,

I used to love going out.

So what's changed?

I have a one-year-old son

who is very high energy,

keeps me on my toes.

None of that is going

near me any more.

My life is different,

my weekends are different,

my evenings are very different.

Motherhood has enriched my life

and my spirit in every way,

apart from that damn wardrobe.

I did read this one thing, right?

Mammy flamingos, after they give

birth, they lose all their pink,

and it takes them like a year or so

to get all their pink back. Yeah.

And I feel like that is kind of

what we're hoping

to do with you today to help you

find your feet

in this new style phase of your life
