ICARIS Leadership Success Series

starts at 1500 hours.

-Let me just say again
that this is a waste.

I don't need to spend six hours
doing trust falls

in a hotel ballroom
to be good at my job.

-Thank you, Dr. Sledkin.

-We should be back early
tomorrow,

so we are expecting you all
to be on your best behavior.

What does that mean?

-Uh, stay out of the lab areas.

Clean up after ourselves.
I think that's about it.

-I believe the answer
she's looking for

is "no dragons on the surface
while they're away."

-It's not that we don't
trust you.

It's just this is still
all new to us,

and smart as they are,

the dragons are still
wild animals.

Dragons down below is one thing,
but up here?

Around our state-of-the-art
science facility?

-So we can hang with them
in the lair?

-Um...

Let's give the dragons a break

while we're gone, okay?

-And as chief of security,

I don't want to risk
anything happening

while I'm not here to handle it.
We clear?

-Crystal clear.
No dragons until you get back.

-Frankly, Mr. Baker,

I am grateful to have
such clear guidelines

while you're gone.

-If everyone has their
babysitters set up, can we go?

Let's get this over with.

[Eugene yelps]

Listen, D. While I'm away,

I need you to be responsible
for the others, alright?

I know they can get a little...

- Dragon party time!
- [rock music playing]

- Eugene...
- [dragon growls]

[growling]

- [sighs] Guys...
- [muffled squawks]

-Saving this from being
the lamest night ever.

- Eugene!
- [growls]

We can't have the dragons
in Rakke Town

while our parents are away!

-What's the big deal?

We hang out with
our dragons every day

and never have any problems.

♪ ♪

Well, no big problems. Besides,
we'll just hang out here.

What could go wrong?

-Mm-mmm. No way!
Our parents trusted us,

and we're not gonna break
that trust! Right, guys?

- TOM: Mm...
- Right?

-Actually, D,

Eugene might be right...

-I cannotbelieve those words
just came out of your mouth.

-Jun Bug comin' in

-I know what our parents said,

but is hanging out
with our dragons

ALEX: Okay! So, this is a party!

[rock music blasting]

- [muffled music]
- [Tom sighs]

-Bet they're having
a lot of fun over there.

-You know what's not fun?
Sacrificing your integrity.

[muffled music continues]

-You know what? You're right.

I should go check on them,

just to make sure they
don't do anything too crazy.

-Okay, but that just gives me
more time to strategize.

ALEX/EUGENE/JUN:
Tom! Tommy! Tom! Tommy!

- [chanting continues]
- [snarls]

Tommy! Tom!

- EUGENE: Come on!
- [grunts, laughs]

[cheering, laughing]

[laughs]

- [gasps]
- [music stops]

-D! [grunts] Uh...

Oh, you, uh... You made it!

-Just keeping it low-key, huh?

Is this how we earn
our parents' trust?

[Tom grunts]

-Oh, lighten up!

We're just having some fun.

Let's call it a night.

-What? Come on! Don't listen to
the party pooper.

Way to ruin everyone else's fun,
D'Angelame-o.

-Ruining your fun?
I am doing what is best!

If the dragons mess something up
or something went wrong...

-Which it wouldn't.

-It's not just about
getting caught, Eugene.

We have to take
some responsibility.

Our parents specifically said
no dragons.

They are trusting us.

[sheep bleating]

[growls]

[chewing]

[dragons growl]

-Uh, hey, everybody?

I think we have a problem.

[baa]

- Uh-oh.
- [all gasp]

[all yelling]

- TOM: Enough!
- [bleats]

- Stop playing with the sheep!
- [snarls]

[bleats]

[dragons growl]

[bleating]

JUN:
We gotta get them out of there!

-No! Keep them in the hangar!

- ALEX: And shut the door!
- Don't worry! I got it!

[roars]

-Eugene, stop!
You don't know how to...
-Come on!

- [alarm blaring]
- [bleats]

[alarm continues]

- [dragons grunt]
- [roars]

[roars]

- [muffled growling]
- Uh-oh.

-What happened?!

-Ah, crisis averted.

- And nothing went...
- [power whirring down]

[mechanical clicking]

- [whirring up]
- Uh... What was that?

-That was the sound
of the hangar doors...

locking us in here!

-Locking us in? No way.
We just...

[beeping]

[grunting]

[fizzling]

What do we do?

[snarls]

♪ ♪

-Would you stop that? You're
just gonna make things worse!

-I am tryingto help!

- Helping would have been
not getting us locked in here

in the first place!

-Hey, I was just trying
to contain the situation

after you crashed
our dragon party

and sent the dragons
on a sheep rampage through town!

-Are you seriously
trying to put this on me?

-Well, thiswouldn't be happening

if you didn't break up
the party.

[pops tongue] Case closed.

- I... Seriously?! Argh!
- [phone ringing, beep]

Tom! We're locked inside.

- Eugene sent the hangar
into lockdown.
- [beeping]

-Allegedly.

TOM [on phone]:
Is there a way to disarm it?

-There is a code, but my dad's
the only one who knows it.

We gotta get out of here
before he gets back.

If he finds the dragons
locked in here with us...

-Wait a sec. Problem solved!

Webs can just blast us out!

- Alright, buddy...
- No, wait!

If we dragon-blast the doors,
it will leave scorch marks.

They'll know the dragons
were here.

-Forget it, Webs.

[sighs]

-There has to be a non-blasty
way to get them out.

Alex, can you hack the system?

-I thought you'd never...

Oh, my tablet! I don't have it!

-What? Where is it?

-Uh...

-Alright! Found it.

-Alex, do you think you could
talk them through

hacking into the system
using your tablet?

-No way. Put it back, Eugene!

If you so much as
smudgethat screen,

I'm gonna delete
all your social media.

[gasps]

-Alex, please. We need to
get them out. If we get caught,

our parents might not ever
trust us with dragons again.

-Ugh! Fine.

But I'm not kidding about
those social media accounts.

I will erase his existence.

First, you need the passcode.

- [typing, beep]
- I'm in.

-Okay. On the first screen,

there's an app with a wrench.

-[whispers]:
D, wait. What's that?

Looks super mysterious.

-[whispers]:
It doesn't matter because

that's not what we're
looking for, Eugene.

-Come on. She gave us
the passcode already.

- That's basically permission.
- Eugene, no!

-I hope it's full of
embarrassing...

[church bell, beeping]

[evil laughter]

-Did you guys find it yet?

- Wait a minute.
- [evil laughter on phone]

Are you guys going through
my stuff?

D'ANGELO [on phone]: No.
Because that would be wrong.

-You pressed the self-destruct
app, didn't you?

-Why would you have
a self-destruct app?!

-To stop snoopers like you
from snooping!

You snoopers!
Now, the tablet's frozen.

[beep]

-That is somessed up.

Where's the trust?

-Great.
There goes our only way out.

[groans]
My dad is gonna find us in here

and probably ban dragons
from the surface

for good. Way to go!

♪ ♪

- [growls]
- Thanks, girl.

-[snarls]
-Don't worry, Webs.
We'll get outta here.

- And I think I know how.
- [curious snarl]

[roars]

♪ ♪

-What is he doing now?

-Uh, I can hearyou.

And I'm getting us out of here.
You're welcome.

-You don't know
what you're doing.

-Yes, I do! I watch a lot
of crime shows, okay?

-Would you stop
before you break something?

-I am gonna break something.

I'm gonna break... us out.

[groans]

-Alright, pal.
If you can let out a small zap,

it might be enough to short out
the locking mechanism.

- Think you can do it?
- [growls]

-Will that work?

- Maybe.
- Theoretically, it could.

But alas,
I am without my tablet,

and therefore useless.

-Remember, just a tiny little...

[fizzling]

- [boom, zap]
- Ow!

-I said tiny!
You call that tiny?

[roars]

-Eugene!

- [fizzling]
- Are you okay?

-My mouth tastes like pennies.

[smacking]

-You're lucky
that's all that happened.

Why won't you listen? Hold up.

Eugene...

Your poor judgment

might actually have helped us!

[beep]

-I'll take that apology
whenever you're ready.

- Roger that, D.
- [beep]

Okay!
The bad news is that Eugene

got a little toasted
by Thunder's blast.

- [gasps]
- But don't worry! He's fine.

-[quietly]:
Good boy.

- [growls]
- [snorting laugh]

-Good news,
D'Angelo found another way out.

His dad keeps a security
override key hidden
in his work boots.

If we can get it to him,
he can open the door.

- Sounds easy enough.
- Yeah,

but even if we find the key
in his dad's dirty boots,

how are we gonna
get it inside the hangar?

-Uh, good point.

-Yeah. Kind of a design flaw.

[sighs]

-Got any ideas, you two?

[quiet growl]

♪ ♪

Hold on.
I think I have a way in.

You guys get the key.
Leave the rest to me.

♪ ♪

[quiet growling]

D'ANGELO:
Can you not do that?

Those are
state-of-the-art drones!

Not monkey bars.

-Here come the fun police again.

- Fun police?!
- [growls]

Did you forget how we got stuck
in here in the first place?

-Yeah. You crashed
my super-cool dragon party.

[grunts]

- No!
- [growls]

-[nervous laugh] That was close.

-See? If that would have
hit the ground,

do you know how much trouble
we'd be in?

This is exactly why
I follow the rules.

Breaking one always leads
to breaking another.

And then,
you end up trapped somewhere

you weren't even supposed to be

with dragons
you weren't supposed to have,

and your dad
will totally find out

and never trust you
with anything ever again!

-Wow. I get it.

But that sounds realboring.

You gotta relax a little!
I'd rather have fun

and get in a littletrouble
than never do anything, dude.

Look, as long as
you're not hurting anyone,

what's the big deal?

-The big deal is if they don't
get that key to us,

we're gonna be
in a lot of trouble.

But I guess
that won't affect you

because you never take
responsibility for anything.

♪ ♪

-I can be responsible.

-Just leave me alone
and don't touch anything, okay?

We don't need things
to get worse.

[melancholy music]

-Got the key?

-Grossest boots ever.

-Yep. Little warning about
the smell would have been nice.

You figure out a way in?

-I sure did.

[squawks]

-Your solution
to not getting in trouble

for bringing the dragons up here

is to bring more
dragons up here?

- [squawking]
- No! Yeah, kinda.

We'll tie the key around
the Terror's neck,

- and send it in
through the vents.
- [sniffing, growls]

How hard could it be?

-I don't think D's
gonna like it.

-They're right on the other side
of the wall. It's gonna be fine.

-Jun wants to what? There are
too many ways that can go wrong.

Think of something else.
Hold on. I got a text.

"Leadership Success
Series Training ended early."

- [gasps] "On our way home!"
- Okay, cool,

so let's go ahead
and do the send the dragon

through the vents plan now!

Alright, sending him through.

- [beep]
- What do you think you're...

-Our parents are coming home!

Do you wanna get out of this

[muffled squawking]

- [vents rattling, banging]
- [squawking]

[tense music]

- Uh, where'd it go?

[quiet rattling]

- [crash]
- [yelps, squawks]

- [beep]
- [squawks]

[growls]

- [beep]
- [squawks]

- [beeping, alarm blaring]
- [squawking]

[alarm blaring]

[screams]

[blaring]

[beep, whirring]

- Terror's still not through...
- [alarm blaring]

What's that? Is everything okay?

TOM: We're gonna have to
call you back!

-Wait! Hello? Tom?

[groans]
Could this get any worse?!

[whirring]

-D! Look out!

[whirring]

Oh, man!
We are so totally roasted.

There's no way out of this.

-Why is this happening?!

What are they doing out there?!

- [beeping]
- [squawking]

- [alarm blaring]
- [buzzing]

[screaming, panting]

I should have just had
the dragons make a flame

under the fire alarm and set it
off the second we got stuck

and accepted the consequences.

-What would that have done?

-When the fire alarm
is triggered,

it automatically opens
all the emergency doors.

-Wait, wait, wait.

That's been an option
this whole time?

Come on, man!
Let's get outta here.

-Eugene.
Causing a false fire alarm

is the ultimateact
of rule-breaking.

It strains resources,
puts others in danger,

and violates trust.

Not that I expect you
to care about that.

Besides, doesn't matter now.

My dad's never gonna
trust me again anyway.

♪ ♪

- Plow, let's set off the alarm.
- [grumbles]

-Wait!

Maybe you shouldn't do it.

[sighs] I wanna get outta here,
too, but let's just say

I don't have the best
relationship with my dad,

and I don't want you to ruin
what you have with yours.

and that's actually pretty cool.

So if you don't want to pull it,

-Well, you are only
supposed to set off the alarm

- in case of a real emergency.
- [both gasp]

I'd say this qualifies.
You wanna do the honors?

-Swicked! Webmaster, flame it!

[blast flames]

[alarm blaring]

- Sweet freedom!
- D'ANGELO: Ha! Yeah!

- [Eugene laughing]
- If we get the dragons back,

I might be able to dry up
the water from the sprink...

- [buzzing]
- Oh no.

RECORDED FEMALE VOICE [on PA]:
at the food court at 3 PM.

[alarm]

The white zone is for loading

and unloading only.

- [beeping]
- [grunts] Why, why, why?!

-Alright. Crisis averted.

-Ah! Leave me alone!

- Or not.
- [beep]

♪ ♪

-My dad got an alert
about the fire alarm.

He wants an update.
They're landing any minute!

Did you guys find
the Terrible Terror?

-We're thinking the Terror might
have something to do with this.

- [beeping]
- [squawking]

[alarms continue]

-All these systems are managed
in the control room.

The Terror's gotta be in there.

-You know your way around
the control room

better than any of us, D.

You think you could reset it?

-Yeah, but I'm gonna need
an extra set of hands

- to contain the Terror.
- Huh? Why me?

-You started this! And I want
you where I can see you.

-Alright. While you two
get Rakke Town back to normal,

we'll try to stop the drones

before they cause
any more damage.

♪ ♪

[whirring]

-You truly are Eugene's
better half.

[growls]

-Light 'em up
and short 'em out, pal!

[roars, zaps]

-Two in a row! Cool!

Sing 'em to sleep, Feathers.

[shrieks]

[growls]

- [doors hiss]
- [beeping]

[squawks]

[tense music]

[quiet chattering]

[chattering]

-Don't make any sudden...

- I gotcha!
- Eugene, no!

- [squawks]
- [angry groan]

Get the Terror!
I gotta shut this down!

[groans]

-My legs are tired.

[beeping]

[flickering]

[ding]

[sighing]

[yelps]

[triumphant music]

[growls]

-Looks like D
stopped the chaos down there.

-And all the drones are rounded
up and back in the hangar.

- [whirring]
- Uh, not all of them.

- [buzzing]
- [helicopter whirring]

-Any word from D'Angelo
on the alarm?

-[sighs] Nothing yet.

-Again, I'm so,
sosorry about earlier.

I-I had no idea
how trust falls even work.

[drone stops]

-Ugh. That was a close one.

- Oh, Mom! You're back!
- Tom! Is everyone okay?

- Where's Genie?
- And where's D'Angelo?

-Playing games!

- Asleep?
- Haven't seen 'em.

-Alright. I'm gonna go check out
that alarm before I head home.

- [Terror chirping]
- [clattering]

- [panting]
- [clattering, breaking]

- [yelling, grunting]
- [squawks]

- [sighs]
- [struggling]

-Everything's shut down.

We gotta get the Terror
back home.

We might actually
get away with this.

[struggling]

-Chyeah!

That's what I've been saying!

[gasps]

-It's my dad! Game over.

- There is noway out of this.
- [squawks]

[sighs] Time to face the music,
D'Angelo.

-[sighs] Hold this.

- Chief Baker!
- [gasps]

How was your retreat?

-Eugene?
What are you doing here?

This area is
for authorized personnel only.

-Actually, Chief Baker,
I have a confession.

I came back here to reset
the fire alarm I set off.

-And why did you trigger
the fire alarm?

-Well, I was out walking

and thought I smelled
something burning.

And, to be honest,

I get pretty nervous
when my mom's not around,

so I pulled the alarm
in a panic.

Turns out there was no fire.

Just my overactive imagination.

-Hm...

False alarms are serious,
Eugene.

They strain resources,

I learned my lesson.

-[yawns] Well,

for my rule-breaking.

And maybe tonight
would have been easier

if we listened to you
in the first place.

Less fun, but easier.

-Yeah. But, I can see
how bending the rules

can be a little fun, too,
sometimes.

Now, I just have to find a way

to sneak this key back
into my dad's work boots.

-[laughs] You'll figure it out.

[sheep bleating]
