- [Anthony] Hello?
- [Kevin] Hello.

- How are you doing today?
- How are you doing, Anthony?

They sent me over your résumé here.

Can you just tell me a little bit about yourself?

Yeah, so I'm 25. I'm from Nashville, Tennessee.

- Born and raised.
- Mm-hmm.

- I'm always giving it my 100%.
- Awesome. Awesome.

We're looking to hire a temp.

It would be both for work in office,

and also at a company retreat.

You'd be my assistant for the trip,
helping me with odd jobs.

So, we have a documentary crew
that is following our business.

If you were to do the job,
are you okay with being on camera?

Absolutely.

[Kevin] At Rockin' Grandma's Hot Sauce,

exciting time for us because
we're about to go on our big retreat.

- Yup.
- And that's what you're helping out with.

[woman] Welcome to Oak Canyon Ranch.

Whoo!

You are the future of Rockin' Grandma's.

- [applause]
- Give it up for my son, Dougie.

Hello, Rockin' Grandma's!

[shouts]

[woman] Doug, that's ill*gal.

- Walk.
- Where? What?

Let's go!

Two weeks ago, Malibu Realtors...

- a beehive.
- What?

[all shouting]

- Clear!
- [screams]

[woman] I'm gonna put "be a wh*re" on my bucket list.

- Oh, my God.
- [Anthony] Do not do that.

I real life feel like I'm on a TV show
and not a documentary.

Like, this is something that...

You... Honestly, maybe not, because this is not something

that you could just make up.

[birds tweeting]

[producer] Introduce yourself and tell us where we are.

Okay. Um, hello. My name's Anthony Norman.

I'm here at...

- Sorry.
- You can do it again.

Okay, okay.

Rockin' Grandmama. Sorry. First day here.

[PJ] She needs to get a tongue scraper.

I'm telling you, all that bacteria
is just growing on that tongue.

Mm-hmm, and then it's slapping us in the face.

- That's why...
- What's up, man?

- One second. Good morning.
- I'm Anthony.

Uh, I'm the new assistant.
I'm not sure where I'm supposed to...

You're probably gonna meet with Kevin.
He's just not in yet.

So, yeah, you can just have a seat,
and once he's in, I'll get him for you.

All right, thank you.

I've been doing temp work for about two years.

Um, I kind of go everywhere.

Here at Rockin' Grandma's, I'm just an assistant.

I'm basically here to do whatever they need me to do.

[crunching] You like chips?

- Yeah.
- You want to try these?

- I'm all right, thank you.
- You sure? It's wasabi octopus.

- [laughs] It's okay, I appreciate it.
- All right.

You don't get to try these flavors every day now.

Yeah, man, that's a flavor I've never even heard of.

[laughs] I know.

My name is PJ Green. Where do I look? Do I look at you?

- [cameraman] You can look at me.
- Okay, I want to look right in there.

I love it here, and I love this
company retreat that we're about to go on.

Because listen, if PJ can take a vacation,

PJ's going to take it, okay?

And we like to... What's up?

Can I get those papers that were in the printer?

Oh, yes. I'm sorry, there's a little chip dust on that.

Don't mind it.

[Kevin] Hot sauce is like having a moment.

You don't see this kind of thing happening with ketchup.

It's like, name me a YouTube ketchup show.

What's the name of that YouTube
ketchup show everyone watches?

No, because it doesn't exist.

It's hot sauce's time. It's our time. Hot sauce this time.

- Yeah.
- I'm Kevin Gomez.

I run HR here at Rockin' Grandma's Hot Sauce.

I consider myself kind of a big brother

that you can come and share your secrets with.

I guess I can give you a noogie too,
but mostly a sympathetic ear.

Thank you so much for jumping on this.

Yeah, absolutely. Thank you for having me.

The retreat is a huge deal for us every year.

It's kind of like my Super Bowl for the year.

You know, getting everything ready.

And you're gonna be my right-hand man.

This year's especially exciting

because our founder and CEO Doug is retiring.

- Kev, quick question?
- Sure, Jimmy.

If one of us got, like, one of those joke
chain emails or something like that...

Mm-hmm.

Can I forward it around the office or something?

Is it sexual in nature?

- Oh, yeah. Very much so.
- No.

- I wouldn't do that. No.
- No? Okay.

Better safe than sorry, right? [Laughs]

I guess so. What if I forward it...

Fair enough. You know, old Jimmy
would have already sent it.

- Okay. All right.
- All right. Thank you.

[Jackie] I rib Jimmy all the time,

but he has come a very long way.

When I first started here, I couldn't stand him.

He was a lot. You did a lot.

I did a lot.

But new Jimmy...

and he is gonna be great.

I feel like he needs to be afforded the opportunity

to keep Rockin' Grandma a family business.

- Okay.
- I also understand the risks involved.

So, I appreciate your offer,

but I'm not ready to sell the company at this time.

Okay.

Doug, he's nice.

Um, he was a bit scary

just because, you know, he's obviously the big boss man.

He didn't even look up at me.

But it just shows that how serious
he takes his business and what he does.

I'm Dougie, by the way.

I was gonna say, at least now she knows
how you feel about her genuinely.

But you told her it's a joke so... maybe she doesn't?

She's probably really confused now.

[Kevin] Sure, sure, sure.

[sighs]

Do you think it was because I wore the hat?

Um, not really.

- Is that where I lost her?
- She might not have liked the hat.

But you know, I think if she...

If that's really what she was wanting to do,

I don't think the hat would have made a difference.

- You know what I'm saying?
- Yeah. Yeah. Um...

- Just wait here one second, okay?
- Yeah.

Yeah, I'm here for you, man. Whatever you need.

[Kevin] Thank you so much.
- Yes, sir.

[door closes]

Okay, so...

I think I'm gonna go because I can't face Amy right now.

And I can't face anybody else right now for the moment.

You're Captain Fun now, okay?

- Okay. Yeah, I got it.
- You know, you got this. You're...

Do you not want to go back
and get that ring that you threw?

Could you find that? Because I spent a lot of money.

That's what I'm saying. You don't want to just leave it.

It's worth about eight grand.

- You know, you're...
- Come here.

- Okay.
- You're good, man. Take a breath.

- Breathe, all right?
- Yeah. No, I appreciate it.

- I really appreciate you.
- Yes, sir.

Everything's good. You're gonna have a great time.

You're Captain Fun. You got this. I don't got this.

By the way, just tell them I left
not because I'm embarrassed.

Just tell them I had diarrhea.
Tell them I got subpoenaed by the court.

[laughing] Okay.

[Kevin] Any excuse.

[car ignition chimes]

- You're officially promoted, Captain Fun.
- [laughing] Yeah!

[sighs]

[cans clatter]

Oh...

Oh, buddy.

- [indistinct chatter]
- [cans rattling]

What is this?

[Dougie] I think he put cans on his car
as part of the joke.

[Anthony] Quite clearly, you can see it wasn't a joke.

He's left because he's embarrassed.

[sighs]

[Amy] All right, she... Come on.

He'll write a song about it and be... And go nuts.

We've never even been on a date.

- [Claire] I was wondering.
- Yeah.

- What about sexting?
- [Amy] No.

- [Claire] Tasteful nudes?
- [Amy] Nothing.

[Helen] You should be proud of yourself for standing up

- and saying the right thing.
- [Jackie] Listen to Mama Helen.

[Anthony sighs]

I'm not quite sure how to handle this situation.

Can we step over and have a conversation real quick?

- Yeah, yeah.
- Um, so he left...

- Okay.
- Because he was embarrassed.

He told me not to tell them that,

but he said just make something up.

And I'm like, "This is your company."

Like, you know, I'm a temporary worker.

I don't know if he told you. I haven't been...

- Yeah, I don't know.
- I've only been with them three days.

- So it feels like a lot.
- Yeah.

I'm sure no one would blame you if you wanted to leave too.

[Marjorie] Like, if you want to leave, I got your back.

But if you want to do what Kevin said
and stay, I got your back there too.

- It's up to you.
- I got it. I'm gonna talk to them.

- Thank you.
- [Marjorie] Yeah.

All right, guys. So Kevin told me to let you...

Told me to let you guys know that he had to leave

because he had some family issues.

Continue with the retreat and let's have a good time.

- Okay.
- All right.

- Thank you.
- Of course.

- It's okay.
- [Steve] Yeah, cool.

- [Amy] Okay.
- Let's have a good time, y'all.

It's quiet. Come on, y'all, let's do this! Yeah!

[all] Oh!

I'm the new... I got a promotion.
Let's have a good time, baby! Yeah!

[all cheer]

I think the most important thing about working here

is the family aspect.

And I would like to officially knight thee.

[Doug] Yes!

[PJ] Once you find a place that cares about you,

it's so easy to give your all.

- Let's do it.
- [PJ] Captain Fun.

[Kevin] With a company this small,
everybody sort of has to be invested,

making sure that the transition from Doug to Dougie Jr.

Goes smoothly, and that's a lot
of what this retreat is about.

It's like, when you get a feeling
in the pit of your stomach

and you can define it as nervousness
or you can define it as excitement,

I choose to define it as excitement.

[cans rattling]

This is bittersweet for me

because I want to send Dad off and it's sad

because it's like the ending of an era,

but it's also sweet because I'm taking over

and I'm excited to, you know, to show what I can bring.

And, you know, all that excitement.

[boisterous singing]

[Doug] I really want to give Dougie the chance to do this,

and that is why this week at the retreat is so big.

I need to see that he's got what it takes.

[Anthony] So, yeah, today was, uh...

interesting, to say the least, in so many aspects.

Kevin's gone. Dougie's taking over.

I mean, there's a lot going on.

They seem like a tight group.

A family business.

I just hope I can make this retreat a success.

Good night, y'all.

[narrator] This season on Company Retreat.

- There's been a robbery!
- You can search my room.

- What?
- This is my fault.

Let's show them what we got, huh?
Let's show them who we are.

You really did that?

- [all gasping]
- Jesus!

Welcome to the Doug-cathelon!

[woman] Yeah!

Oh, my God!

Yeah!

[all calling] Dougie! Dougie!

[all imitating chomping]

I just want a couple!

[woman] Who is that?

Oh...

Bro!

Bruh!

- [rhythmic clapping]
- [boisterous chatter]

This feels crazy. Is this crazy?

Put it down.

Put it down!

Dougie Jr.!

[steam hissing]

[Jackie] Keep going!

- [man] Stop him!
- Get up.

Get up.

If I go home and tell my parents about this stuff,

they're gonna be like, "You're lying."
