02x07 - Drag Family Makeover

Post by bunniefuu »

RUPAUL: Previously on
RuPaul's Drag Race Down Under.

G'day, g'day, g'day.

[queens hollering]

Down Under's next Drag Superstar

needs to be able to sell
anything.

And there's no place like home.

Away, trusty steed.

[bleating]

Let's get wizzin'.

Book your tickets
to Kween Kong Island.

It went into this
sort of dark place.

Kind of wasn't that funny.

And you should just be
f*cking happy with it.

Look out, Peter Jackson.

Hannah Conda, you are the
winner of this week's challenge.

Kween Kong.

Shantay, you stay.

Beverly Kills.

Sashay away.

I love you, Bev.

Bye-bye.

Oh, girl!

Hey!

- Oh, baby.
- Oh!

Bev, you got to bloody top five.

She's an incredible
representation for Brisbane

and I think she should be
proud of everything she's done.

Thank you for the love,
friendship, and memories.

You're all b*stards.

[all laughing]

PS, #TeamSpankie.

ALL: Oh!

Well, she always was
delusional, wasn't she?

Oh!

My journey through
this competition

has been up and down,

and I think I wouldn't have it
any other way.

There's been a lot of lessons
that I've learned about myself

that I know is going
to benefit me in the long run.

I want to say, Kong, I do hope
you win the next challenge

because I couldn't compete
against you

in a f*cking Lip Sync,
you crazy b*tch.

You were amazing.

- Thank you.
- Yeah.

You were absolutely incredible.

There was no way
I was going home.

There is no place I feel more
confident than

when I'm f*cking performing.

I don't plan on going anywhere.

So try and move me,
m*therf*cker.

Spankie, like, how does it feel
seeing, like, you know,

two b*tches now say Spankie
for the win on the mirror?

Yeah, it feels
pretty incredible.

This means the world to me.

That just goes to show that
I've made an impression on them

and that I've been true
to myself this whole time.

You're such a sister,
but also you've been helping

every single one of us.

So, like, I'm not mad
when I say Team Spankie

because I'm still Team Spankie.

I want the crown,
but baby, like...

They don't even decide.

So I'm just going
to keep on pushing on.

I mean, we all want it,
and I wouldn't be surprised.

I mean, you're coming up from
the f*cking backside, b*tch.

I was taking the lead, but your
f*cking ad was just amazing.

Thank you.

I'm a winner, baby.

As the winner of this challenge,
may you rub my toe.

Oh!

- Oh.
- Yeah, you like that?

Thank you.
#TeamSpankie now.

- Break your foot!
- Yeah.

Right now I feel like
I've really set myself up

and cemented myself as,
you know, someone to beat.

What about me and Hannah in the bottom,

I think we could out-stunt
and trick you.

Yeah, look.

I'm here to win it, baby.

I want the crown.

What the f*ck is
going on over there?

Honestly.

[laughter]

I want the crown.

I want the scepter
and the $50,000 wouldn't go astray.

Leapfrog. Yes.
And leapfrog, go.

Go.

[laughter]

KWEEN KONG: It's like watching
your two drunk aunties

at the f*cking family bbq.

Sorry, girls.

I'll buy you a pair of shoes.

RUPAUL: The winner
of RuPaul's Drag Race Down Under

will receive a year's supply
of cosmetics

from Anastasia Beverly Hills
and a cash prize of $50,000,

courtesy of our mates
at Samsung.

Tonight with Michelle Visage,
Rhys Nicholson,

and our extra special
guest star, Murray Bartlett.

♪ RuPaul's Drag Race
May the best drag queen win ♪

- Top four, m*therf*cker!
- We're top four!

[laughter]

Top four!

It's a new week
in the Werk Room.

And guess what?

Only girl from Sydney
ever in the top four.

Except for Courtney
but that was U.S.

Top f*cking four!

[queens hollering]

Is this how you envisioned it?

Honestly, at the start, no,
but as we progressed on, yes.

Who did you originally see
in the top four?

I thought Minnie and Yuri.

- Yeah.
- Totally.

But I couldn't be more blessed

and grateful to be with you,
b*tches.

You ugly f*cking cows.

- Same here.
- Same here.

I never thought I was going
to make it this far,

but as the weeks progressed,

I could envision myself
being there.

You know, y'all have been
smashing it.

Three wins.
Three wins.

We're over here with, one win
and, you know,

we've bottomed a few times,
you know.

Baby.

I don't usually bottom, so like
this is really unusual for me.

These girls are amazing.

For me to get another win,
I need to stop doubting myself

and just f*cking go in
and give it my all.

Totally.

Going home now will be
more devastating than

going home early because we are
so close we can f*cking taste it!

- Oh!
- I see it.

- [siren wails]

- Whoa!
- Oh, my God!

She done already had done herses.

Hi there, you gorgeous beings.

- Hi.

Murray Bartlett
from The White Lotus.

Oh, he's a dream.

He could absolutely 150%

and I wouldn't mind.

As q*eer people,
we get to choose our families.

And that's when the real work
begins.

Yeah.

But remember, the family that
slays together stays together.

Now, who's your daddy?

[queens cheering]

Yes!

You could be my daddy.

Oh, my God!
He's so f*cking hot.

Murray has given me a river.

- Oh!
- Oh, God.

I feel like it's going to be
a make-over challenge,

- to be honest.
- Is it?

- Yeah.
- Well, it's final.

- He's talking about the final.
- Yeah.

G'day, g'day, g'day.

Hey!

Queens, can you believe it?

We are only one week away
from crowning

Down Under's
next Drag Superstar.

Girl.

But, you know,
with just four of you left,

I think this is the perfect time
to make an addition

to our little drag family.

Please, please give
a warm welcome

to Drag Race superfan, Kalen.

Hi!

- Hey, girl!
- Hey!

A screaming queen walks
in the door

and we're like, "Oh, my God.

Who is this h*m*?"

Now say hello
to Kalen's dad, Tony.

Oh, my God.

- Hi!
- Hi, Tony!

- Hi, Tony!
- Oh.

Now say hi
to Kalen's cousin, Tyler.

Oh, my God.

QUEENS: Hi!

- Hello.
- Oh, my God.

- Hello.
- We're keeping it in the family.

- Wow.
- What's up?

Ooh!

And last but not least,
this is Kalen's uncle, Paul.

QUEENS: Hey!

Hi, Uncle Paul.

This is so awesome.

Hello, fellas.

Thank you so much
for joining us.

Are you ready to experience
the miracle of drag?

I can't hear you, Tony.

Yeah, yeah, I'm keen, yeah.

[all laughing]

All right.

So who in the crowd knows
what tucking in?

Raise your hand.

Well, Uncle Paul,
you're about to find out.

[all laughing]

Now, queens, for this week's
Maxi Challenge,

sponsored by
Anastasia Beverly Hills,

you need to transform
Kalen's kinfolk

into lovely ladykins
that share a strong

drag family
resemblance with you.

f*ck yes.

I feel like this is definitely
in my wheelhouse.

I feel like I can win this.
This is mine.

RUPAUL: And on the runway,
category is Opposites Attract.

This would never happen
in my family.

What an amazing experience.

I can't wait to be
a part of this.

Now to decide who will
makeover whom,

the queens are going to play

a good old-fashioned game
of rock, paper, scissors.

Oh, yes, I love that.

Or as you call at Down Under,
paper, scissors, rock.

[all laughing]

I see Kalen, I think
that's the one for me.

- Are you ready, queens?
- QUEENS: Yes!

Okay.
Paper, scissors, rock.

Rock crushes scissors.

So, Molly and Hannah,
paper, scissors, rock.

Oh, b*tch!

Girl.

Molly, you get to choose first.

- Okay?
- Okay.

Kalen is a superfan
of Drag Race,

so I'm like, he already knows

what's going to happen here,
so that is an advantage.

I mean, I'm going to have
to go with a queen already.

Kalen.

[all laughing]

I think you can strut
in some heels, b*tch,

I know you can.

Kalen, go on over.

Come to Mama.

Yes.

Molly Poppinz strikes again.

That little b*tch, she wins,
so she gets Kalen.

Fair enough, Molly.
Wise choice.

All right, queens,
put your hands up.

Paper, scissors, rock.

- f*ck.
- Yes.

RUPAUL: Spankie
and Kween Kong.

Paper, scissors, rock.

Okay, Kong.

I think I want cousin.

Tyler, go on over.

- Hello.
- Oh, my God. Nice to meet you.

We're going to win.

[Kween laughs]

- Ready?
- Yes.

Paper, scissors, rock.

Hannah, you get to choose next.

Tony.

- Hannah has chosen Dad, Tony.
- Come on.

When I see Tony,
I think of my dad.

The way he presents himself,
the way he holds himself.

Perfect.

And that means Spankie will be
making over Uncle Paul.

Come on, Paul!

Yeah! Come on!

I saw the smile and I thought
we're meant to be.

[all laughing]

I can see he's quite cheeky.

I can definitely sense that
there's a little bit

of Spankie Jackzon in him.

I'm very excited to see how
Uncle Paul is going to turn out.

[all laughing]

Queens, for your makeovers,
you can use your own drags,

plus the fabulous footwear
provided by Shoe Me.

- Ooh!
- Oh, yes.

Racers, start your engines
and may the best drag queen win.

Yeah!

Go girl! Oh, my God.

This week's Maxi Challenge
is the makeover challenge.

So I am the t*ts of the season.

Okay, can we utilize mine?

Straightaway, we start kiki-ing.

She's just one of the girls.

I work as a quiz host and MC
and a marriage celebrant.

Oh, cute.

I am a performer.

I'm a big personality.

I'm confident that
when I put him in drag,

he's going to shine.

So out of these queens here,

who is your biggest competition
you think?

The other hobbit b*tch
over there.

[laughs]

Don't worry.
She's with my dad today, so...

[laughter]

Kalen seems like
the obvious pick.

But Molly is probably
now going to have to match

Kalen's personality.

Here you go, babe.

I would've wouldn't know
what to do with all that energy.

I'd be like, "Shh, please,
like, just calm down."

Kat, kat, kat, kat, kow!

Drag for me has been

- like a therapy.
- TONY: Yeah.

It's been an outlet for,
like, my creative expression.

Is anything that you're hoping
to come out of this experience?

I've got three g*y sons.

That's... oh, my God.
That's amazing.

So I want my boys to succeed.

And they're jealous
they're not on this.

Yeah. Oh, they're going
to be dying. So hi.

Me and Tony, we're connecting
really well.

It's a shame that I have to be
made out of somebody's special

for something that
should come so naturally

as to love your children.

Like, I'm here to do this,
so I'll embrace it 100%.

Amazing.

And I really admire the fact
that he is here for his son.

And then we've got
a couple of pairs of these.

Oh, yeah, okay.
Yeah.

Those bad boys,
you can have a hold of them.

Very big n*pples.
I like big n*pples.

- Do you like big n*pples?
- Yeah.

My concern is Tony being
one of the older gentlemen

that we have with us provides
the challenge of,

you know, working with
older skin for make-up,

which I am really
not skilled at.

Look at that.

Do you have any bigger ones?

We can double...

I wouldn't mind a big set,
I want to stand out.

But at the end of the day,
my goal as a role

of drag mother is to make sure
that Tony feels fabulous.

We put those together

and just feel that liberation
that drag brings.

Hey, Molly.

Holy!

Oh!

Dethroned.
t*ts of the season.

I'm just going to say it.

You almost look like
Queen Elizabeth.

Don't f*cking say that to me.

You never say that
to an Irishman.

Never.

- Tell me about you.
- Builder by trade.

Okay.

I'm with a partner
down in Palmy.

Are you from Palmy?

- f*ck off.
- Yep.

What the F?

- This is, like, meant to be.
- Okay.

I take that as a good sign.

You obviously haven't done
drag before, yeah?

Not exactly.

I got sucked into drag
by friends for my 60th.

Okay.

And then I ended up
looking like Amy Winehouse.

Well, that's kind
of Spankie's aesthetic,

so that's not a bad thing. Yeah.

Okay, cool, cool, cool.

It's a makeover challenge.

Not going to lie.
Not my favourite challenge.

I like to paint my own face

and barely I can do that
well enough.

And now I've got to paint
two f*cking faces.

And so part of this, what we're
doing is

- for your success. Is it? Right.
- For me. Yeah.

Well, then we're going
to work hard.

We're so bloody close.

But I don't want that
to be the focus.

I just want us to have
a good time.

Paul, he's such a lovely guy.

Here we go.

You think they're big enough?

No, they can never be
too big, babes.

He understands how important
it is for us to go out there

and absolutely annihilate it.

Hey, guys.

[all laughing]

How are you feeling?
You good?

Bit nervous. Don't really know
what's coming.

Have you watched
Drag Race before?

Uh, maybe, half of one episode.

What did you think?

- Interesting. Um...
- Yeah.

I'm resonating with Tyler
because he's subdued,

he's quiet, and he reminds me
of my older brother.

Curious to see
how it goes for the day.

One thing, you're going to be
f*cking stunning, to be honest.

Looking at your face,
they'll go mad.

- We can look like sisters.
- Oh, okay, thank you.

He's going to look like Beyoncé,

and he's going to make me
look like Jay-Z.

I know that physically

the transformation
is going to be stunning,

but I think more than that,

I feel like what I'm
going to enjoy

getting out of him the most
is giving them the essence

of what your character is

and then trying to get
their version

of what that essence is.

And so I think the main thing
that I do with my drag

is trying to bring out like
the strong f*cking warrior queen

inside of like a drag queen.

So how did you get convinced
into doing this?

I think I'm just open-minded
to giving it a try.

A lot of people, you know,
growing up, do drag or whatever had

to do, say sports
that they didn't want to do.

Why can't we give this a try

and just see what it's like
for one day,

in your guys' shoes?

Prepared to, you know, doing it.

I think I'm just here to sort of
break a stereotype

- and just like give it a go.
- Wow. Oh, my God.

So you said, you're not sure
what to expect.

Are you worried about
anything, like in particular?

Uh, walking in heels?

Should we go and get some shoes?

- Yeah, we'll go.
- Let's go and tackle the fears.

Come on.

Oh, my God.
This challenge means a lot.

Not only because of, like,
the competition,

but because we're seeing

a beautiful example
of a welcoming,

accepting, and open family.

You actually look
quite nice in those.

Beautiful.

What a great experience, though.

-Bring your Dad to...
-Hey, he was more keen on this than I was.
Barely needed any convincing.

The fact that the men
in this family have been

so willing to be here
and be examples

of what it looks like to be
a man in this day and age,

which means to include

and love and openly
accept others,

including the q*eer community.

I feel like the hair will help
you find your inner Womana.

We've got half a tank over here
and we've got two hobbits.

All right, so we're
the sexy people.

This is really uplifting
and this also makes me feel

really happy about
where we're going as a society.

Typically, you've got,
like, humungous t*ts.

Yeah, that's it.
Let's see you walking.

Forward. That's it. Back.

That's it. Forward. Nice.

You know, you got a nice swag.
That swag is really good.

Yeah, that's really special.

Okay, that's not terrible.

I don't know what it
is about straight men

and when they walk in heels,
like they...

It's not good.

Shut up, b*tch.

Like, walk like Bambi,
and not in a good way.

Like, Bambi was
at least graceful.

And then she died.
You know what I mean?

Walk, walk and just look up.

I nearly stacked that.

We all saw that,
Spankie Jackzon.

Shut up!

My competition at this moment
has to be Spankie and Paul.

They have got
a really great chemistry.

But Spankie,
at the end of the day,

could make Paul
look like a brick.

So maybe we might have
to cover up

all the mirrors tomorrow,
so she's not cracking them.

Yeah, yeah.
Give it.

That's literally a jandal,
honestly.

Look at them heels
because they are bringing it

and we need to show them
what we got.

I know. We cannot get
outdone by these geriatrics.

Shoulders back, shoulders back.

- Eyes up. Eyes up.
- Do you believe it, love?

Give us a little pose.
Give us a little pose.

Yes, Tyler! And back.

- Come on, girl.
- Hey.

Oh, yeah.

Oh, yeah, b*tch.
f*ck y'all.

Hang on.
Hate the haters.

Oh!

[all laughing]

Oh, we got a d*ck brat.

Yes!

Yay!

Who's your daddy?

- Kalen.
- Fashion. Fashion.

Yes.

Oh!

[all laughing]

Shablam! We got a shablam!

Kalen did a death drop
and it was not intentional.

I'm a part-time break dancer,
could you tell?

I'm just hoping that there's no

accidental death drops
on the runway.

- Hey, Lucy. I'm home.
- Hey!

Kalen, Molly, come on over.

Oh, my goodness.

Look at all of this.

So I see some similar wigs here.

What is your strategy?

So we're kind of going for,

like, a sweet and sour
kind of thing.

Uh-huh.

Think like strawberry shortcake
and lemon meringue.

Yum.

Now, Kalen, have you ever been
in drag before?

Not in drag to this scale
before.

I've done a lot of dress up
in my life.

What has Molly taught you
so far?

Slower steps.

I'm quite a high-energy person,
so I probably try

and rush this energy out there.

She's got long legs.

[all laughing]

- I need to be able to keep up.
- Okay.

So what is it, do you think,
about your father

and family members that are
so open to something like this?

Because, you know, not everyone
is this open-minded.

I was raised in a very
open-minded household.

We were always told
to not follow the crowd,

to live your own truth,
and to be a trendsetter.

Well, I cannot wait.

You've got your lace
front wig there.

You've got your tig ol' bitties.

Thanks, kids.
I will see you out there.

Thank you.

Tony and Hannah.

Now, this is an interesting
combination.

Have you tried on
any of the clothes yet?

Just the wig and the shoes.

RUPAUL: How do you look?

- Oh, I'm very comfortable.
- Oh, yeah?

And you had your t*ts on
for a hot second there, too.

Sure.
Tony wanted big t*ts.

- RUPAUL: Yeah.
- And who doesn't?

Well.

And did you get a little tingly
inside

when you got your hands
on those t*ts?

I'd rather not say, Ru.

[all laughing]

What's your number one
concern in getting into drag?

- Falling over in my shoes.
- Yeah.

The key to high heels
it's in the hips,

because that's where
your balance is.

Also, it's all about the...
the ball of the foot.

Don't look to the heel
for support.

So now you're going to use
any tapes on Tony?

Oh, look, you know,
we'll be doing some rigging.

Yes.

[all laughing]

Yes.

My look in drag is an intricate
series of weights and pulleys.

Any idea what might emerge?

Is it going to be a sl*t?

A coy?

End of the tour, probably
more of the flamboyant.

Well, I cannot wait.

I'm so excited to see you guys.

And thank you so much
for doing this, Tony.

It's all right.
No big deal.

All right, Spankie
and Paul, come on over.

Come on, babes.

Just two sluts trying
to have fun.

Yes.
Watch us.

Paul, I've been asking
all the family members

what kind of a queen will emerge
once they get into drag.
- Slutty.

I don't have to ask you
that question

because you're with
Spankie Jackzon.

Yeah.

And I know you will be
a dirty street wh*re.

- Thank you.
- You got that right.

I think it's already natural.

Yeah. Oh.

Um, see, it's naturally there.

Paul couldn't have been doing
any f*cking better than he is.

He's just making Mama Ru laugh.

We're having a good time.

Are you worried that
your daughter

or your grandchildren will see
Grandpa and go, "Oh, the horror.

- The horror."
- No, no.

I'm just worried they'll wet
the sofa watching me.

[all laughing]

Yes!

That's right.

So what do you have planned?

The theme was Opposites Attract.

So we've gone with
pineapple on pizza.

Did you come up
with that together?

No, that's something
I brought with me.

We're going to have to do
a few modifications, clearly,

because I'm a giant
and she's petite.

So you've got the shoes,
you've got the hair,

got the outfits,
you've got the t*ts.

Yeah.

Now you just need the attitude.

All right.
Well, thank you so much.

- Thank you so much.
- RUPAUL: All right.

We'll see you out there.
Thank you.

Let's go, babes.

Come on.
Come on, sister.

We got jobs to get to.

RUPAUL: Kween Kong
and Tyler, come on over.

What do you think will be
Tyler's greatest asset?

What do you think you're going
to have to watch out for?

I think his greatest asset
is that he's really open.

Like, he seems very fearless.

I think, in terms of something
to watch out for,

I'm going to really
try to mentor him

and try to get the confidence
out of him

because he is really quiet.

But I feel like that's going
to change really, really quick.

I predict that that will change
really quickly,

especially once he gets
the character on.

Have you put people
into drag before?

I do. I've got, like,
a few drag babies,

actually, and one of the things
that I'm really good at,

especially as a dancer,
is I'm working with bodies

and like seeing things
and just adjustments

and working with his
natural swag

to bring out that character.

And so I'm really focusing
on those kinds of details.

I cannot wait.

It's going to be so much fun.

This is always
my favorite episode

because you never know
what's going to emerge

when a dude gets into drag
for the first time.

I'm very excited to see you all,
and have fun.

That's number one.

I think the main thing with
the walkthrough

with Ru is Tyler's confidence.

Oh.

Bloody hell.

He is a slow burner.

I think it's just about letting
him ease into himself

rather than trying to, like,
push him into something,

which is really great
because I'm the same.

- Wow.
- b*tch.

As I said, it's very Beyoncé,
isn't it?

His walk is coming along
beautifully,

body is going to look great.

But I'm noticing he is kind
of dead behind the eyes.

So my biggest challenge
will be to,

like, get her to animate
her face.

Because the thing about me,
when I look at you, you know

I'm f*cking looking at you.

I'm looking through you
and the person behind you

and the person behind you.

So you're walking,
you see something you like.

You see something
that you don't like.

Yeah, that's good.

Looking at Kween and Tyler,
I'm like, shook already.

Like, I know Kween is gunning
for a win just as much as me.

- Do it again.
- Walking.

And I'm a little scared
like that

they're going to take this out.

Molly, I'm feeling Dolly.

You feeling Dolly?

Like, if I was going to be sad,

I want to wear something
a little bit nastier.

This looks like a good girl

like a sour, nasty, edgier.

This also looks sweet.

So, like, the b*tch

Like, she wants to be
a bit more saucy,

a bit more slutty,
bit more sour.

There needs to be
a bigger contrast, maybe.

Yeah.

I'm the professional here,

Like, maybe slightly
like, shorter or...

I am now regretting that Kalen

because little Miss Sassy
Sassy Pants over there

for her money.

She's full on like, "No, I know
how I want to look."

And that's camp,
but also very dangerous.

Oh, f*ck.

This is really hard.

Adjusting everything
in time for tomorrow.

It turns out that Paul is
a lot smaller than I expected.

I'm going to take
this corset in.

It's a lot of work to do,
but we can do this.

And now I have to, with glitter

taking a f*cking outfit

and make it fit him
for tomorrow.

Oh!

Spanks, you're looking
a bit stressed there.

Are you all right, girl?

There's no stress here.

I mean, I nearly won week one
with my beautiful outfit.

Let's be real.

It's like that's what nearly
sent me home last time,

and I f*cking don't want that
to be the thing

that sends me home this time.

Like, I really don't.

- Oh!
- sh*t ba*ls.

Is that the needle?

I just f*cking
snapped the needle.

Oh.

Fun. Good time.

It's a new day in the Werk Room.

And today is our makeover day.

Still a little bit concerned
about my outfit.

So how are we all feeling?

Like, everyone getting
a makeover.

I'm super excited.

At home, last night, I was
going through

all these sorts of things
we could improve on.

Tyler was practicing
his walk all night.

I did.

Oh, good on you.

To make sure that everything
goes smoothly today,

we just need to have
a good time.

I need to get out of my head
so that I can help Paul

so that she feels her fantasy.

Drag is magical

and it's a really important part
of our lives,

so we're really excited
to share it with you.

And when you want you
to have the full experience.

It is challenging
because at the end of today,

one of us is going to go home.

We're going to have to give them
no choice

but to keep all four of us.

Who knows?

Like, us four might go home
and this might be the next f*ck top four!

Womana.

Do your magic, sister.

How are you feeling today?

I think it'll be better once
we are properly in the dress.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

I'm sitting next to Tyler,
and I'm noticing that

his energy feels really nervous.

What's something that you want
to get out of this today?

Like, obviously, like,
f*cking weird

and a new territory for you.

I've had so many of my babies
break down

when they get into drag,

well, when they see themselves
for the first time

because it is a really
emotional experience,

especially when you've been
suppressing your femininity

and all the things
that are q*eer.

More than anything,
I really want to win.

Yeah.

Like, I think I'd really want
to win for you as well.

I think from what I've noticed,
you deserve it.

Oh, thank you babe.

What I'm relying on today
is my motherly nature.

The internal work is
more important than

what the make-up looks like.

I've got so much faith
in you, aye.

You're obviously straight
and we're both Polynesian.

What you represent is like,
it's huge for our community

because you're really showcasing
what it means to be a man.

And being a man, you know,
for us is really being there

for people that you love,
you know, first and foremost.

Yeah.

So I f*cking appreciate you
so much for doing this.

And yeah, I hope I do you proud.

Do you need some more cream?

Yeah, I think so.

- Right?
- Right now. Yeah.

I really just want the best
for Tyler

because I feel like he's
a beautiful person,

and I want to get the best
out of him right now.

Oh, my God.

I'm going to get you to close
your eyes and just relax for me.

Cool.

Have you ever lived overseas?

I have. Yes.

I lived in Melbourne
for 12 years

and it was one of the best
times of my life.

What made you come back home?

Dad got sick.

They gave him six months,

so we kind of thought
it was the end.

That was one of the
hardest things I've had to do.

Like, I was adopted,
still in the same family,

like my nanna and grandad,
but they're my parents.

And the way I look at it,

it's like they gave up
their lives for me.

So why wouldn't I do
the same thing?

- Yeah.
- So I don't regret it.

I mean, he's still here,
so that's great.

And he's f*cking kicking,
so that's awesome.

Um, if I hadn't have come home,

we wouldn't have had
all this time.

And like, after being away
for 12 years,

we've had the time to reconnect

and just have fun together again
as a family.

I know exactly
what you're saying,

'cause I had a pretty spinny
experience with my dad,

because when he got old,
he needed care.

So I became a caregiver to him.

I wouldn't have known
my father if...

Aw.

sh*t.

I wouldn't have known about him.

I wouldn't have known
a lot about him

if I hadn't have done that.

So what you've done
is the same thing.

So you got close
to your father over there.

It's pretty cool.

And it's not an easy thing
to do and it's rare, you know?

We know what triggers us,
don't we?

- Yeah, we do.
- Yeah.

I'm grateful that Paul felt
comfortable enough

to kind of share his story
with me.

We've got a lot in common.

That's what this experience
is really about, too, is...

is about opening up.

Sharing that.

Probably just going to make our
connection that much stronger,

and then that will resonate
through our makeover.

So we've gone on
a little journey together.

[laughter]

Looking around the room
and everyone's drag daughters

are coming to life.

I've created an
absolute monster.

And then I look over
at Kween Kong

and her little daughter,
Sister Kong,

and I'm like, "Whoo,
when did this

gorgeous womana get here?"

Oh my god, b*tch,

Oh!

very different than mine,

it was a bit of a struggle.

- I hate it.
- It's bad.

I don't know.

Excuse me, miss.

Positive talk, please.

Positive talk.

I'm dealing with those, like,
inner demons,

you know, inner saboteurs,
like, RuPaul likes to say.

It's something that
I fought my whole life.

It's hard in this setting,
but I need to focus on me,

and I need to focus on getting
to that top three.

Is there something that I can do
to help speed up the process

in terms of getting ready?

Welcome to the main stage

of RuPaul's Drag Race
Down Under.

Michelle Visage, now, have you
ever put someone in drag?

Uh, my brother.

I was about ten.
He was about seven.

Him and his best friend,
I was "babysitting."

I slapped barrettes
in their hair,

put pigtails and called them
the Chick-Chicks.

And what's your brother
doing now?

Selling tractors
in Central New Jersey.

Obviously.

And, Rhys Nicholson, have you
ever been done up in drag?

No, I have not.

But Michelle is
babysitting me tonight.

[laughter]

We'll find out tomorrow.

And do you want
to buy a tractor?

You'll be an official
Chick-Chick.

Yeah. What could I say?
I've got daddy issues.

This week, we challenged
our queens to perform

a drag transformation

on an extra special family
of menses.

And tonight, on the runway
category is Opposites Attract.

Racers, start your engines
and may the best drag queen win.

Category is Opposites Attract.

Up first, Kween Kong
and Sister Kong.

MICHELLE VISAGE:
Ooh, look at this.

- RUPAUL: Turban?
- MICHELLE: I don't even know him.

KWEEN: On the runway tonight,
me and my beautiful sister

are serving hero and villain.

Oh!

KWEEN: The way that we've done

this is there's a really, really
pretty sister.

And then there's a sister
that's got four kids

and two ex-husbands.

Tyler is gone, and Sister Kong
has arrived.

RHYS NICHOLSON: She's really
lifted her performance.

RUPAUL: Molly Poppinz
and Kandy Flippinz.

I wonder if they took
the party bus to get here.

On the runway, me and my
little drag daughter are serving

you sweet and sour.

MICHELLE:
Molly likes doggy style.

[RuPaul laughs]

HOLLY: I'm looking after
my drag daughter

because she's a sour
little b*tch

that doesn't want to cooperate.

And I'm like, "No, you've got
to serve it to these judges."

Just two little girls
from Newcastle.

Spankie Jackzon
with Flash Jackzon.

Tonight I am serving
a pineapple pizza on the runway

and I couldn't be sluttier,
really.

What came first,
the pizza or the sl*t?

[Rhys laughing]

We've come up
with the name Flash Jackzon.

It's really
because the only time

I got arrested was
when I flashed my bum.

MICHELLE: This is
the age-old discussion.

Pineapple does not
belong on pizza.

SPANKIE: My drag daughter
is looking a little rough,

but our energy is dynamic.

She puts out in 30 minutes,
so your pizza is free.

Hannah Conda and Helle Gator.

Oh, it's Camilla and the Queen.

HANNAH: Walking down the runway,
we are serving Queen of Dreams

and Queen of Nightmares
realness.

RUPAUL: Get a load of those
wizard sleeves.

She's uncut.

[RuPaul laughs]

HANNAH: My look is based on
really medieval fashion.

We are battling each other,
but we come together as one

and walk hand on a*s
to dreamland.

There's that family resemblance.

Ki ora queens!

Ki ora!

Aussie, Aussie, Aussie.

Oi, oi, oi.

And an extra special welcome
to our virgin queens.

- Thank you.
- Thank you.

Now it's time
for the judges' critiques.

First up, Kween Kong
and Sister Kong.

Now, this is Tyler before.

And look at her now.

Sister Kong, you know
how hot you are, don't you?

I think, yeah.

[all laughing]

I think she's going to put me
out of business, Michelle.

She's going to take all my gigs.

Opposites definitely
do attract here.

Every time you push yourself,
queen,

I just get more and more
proud of you.

- Thank you, Michelle.
- Thank you.

You f*cking nailed it,
the both of you.

What was the biggest challenge,
Kween Kong?

I didn't have any challenges
this week.

I felt really at home with her.

She really made me remember
why I do drag.

It wasn't really hard.
It was just...

really difficult watching her
be prettier than me on stage.

[all laughing]

Never thought that
I'd do something like this.

But here we go, I just did it.

And it felt really f*cking good.

So, yeah.

What's your favorite part
of the outfit?

Favorite part, the bum.

Ooh!

Damn, girl.

That's a lot of a*s.

It is.

Well, thank you very much.

- Thank you.
- Thank you.

Up next, Molly Poppinz
and Kandy Flippinz.

Now, this is Kalen before.

And look at her now.

Heyyy!

I was wondering,
I wonder if I'll know

which one is the fan
of drag race.

And then you walked out
of the runway

and I was like,
"Oh, there she is.

Found her."

You two were fun to watch.

Sweet, sour, opposite, adorable.

I would have liked to have had
a little more of a story.

You don't really get
what was going on.

I'm like the mother.

I went to come out and, like,
I was forcing her

to do this little
cutesy routine.

But she's the sour b*tch
that doesn't want to partake,

and she's just there
'cause I'm making her be there.

Well, pet peeve of mine
is why are your socks down

and her socks up?

Oh!

That would have been because
I put my socks on, I think.

And, Kandy, was there ever
a point in this process

where you looked around the room
and you thought,

"I think I've made
a terrible mistake"?

[all laughing]

I never had a moment of this
is a mistake.

It was a bit of stress today.

Molly was a little under
the pump

and there was a bit
of negative talk.

As stressful as it was,
it was like really fun

and just such
a wholesome experience.

When you look around the room
at your relatives,

are there any of them
that you're jealous of?

And look at her now.

MICHELLE: Wow.

Oh, my goodness.

Wow. Those legs are

I was most concerned with you

and this was an
amazing experience,

and I'm just so grateful that
we got to do this for them.

f*ck yeah!

f*ck yeah!

Up next, Hannah Conda
and Helle Gator.

Now, this was Tony before.

And look at Tony now.

Ooh.

Before we start the critique,
I just want to say

it's a beautiful, beautiful
thing to see a father

who's willing to do this
for their g*y child.

You are such a hero
for doing this.

It's amazing, not just for your
own family's heritage

and the family line
and the sense of humor

that you convey here
on the stage

but just for so many families
around the world

who are watching this.

You are amazing.

Heavy is the head
that wears the crown.

I thought you had fun.

Again, the storyline could have
been a little bit grander.

I didn't get kind of dreams
and nightmares,

but I got good and evil
and that's...

- that was part of it.
- That works.

Helle, I mean, you've got
kind of vibes of like,

"I've just buried the king
and I'm out to f*ck."

[all laughing]

We had such a wonderful time.

I was naturally drawn to Tony
because he reminded me of my dad

and my dad as well,
I'm very lucky

I've got such
a supportive father

and he is my hero.

To be able to do that
for another dad and bring,

you know, him along into
this world,

like it was really,
really special for me.

Helle Gator, point on your body
where you're in the most pain.

Can't wait for a piss
after this.

[all laughing]

All right.
Well, thank you all so much.

- Thank you so much.
- Thanks a lot.

Now, racers, while you untuck
in the Werk Room,

the judges
and I will deliberate.

You may leave the stage.

Cheers, girls.

- Cheers!
- Cheers!

Cheers!

How did you enjoy your
runway debuts, girls?

- You were feeling it.
- You were.

I literally just felt it.

And I put my hand on my hip
and I was like, "Oh, I'm there."

I actually really enjoyed it.

That was empowering.

So proud of Tyler right now.

Well, it just felt like family.

Like, I think this challenge
didn't feel like work.

The timing of this
particular challenge

was so perfect
because I need this win.

You've made three people
and myself,

who've never done it like this,
feel so comfortable.

This whole experience has been
that much richer because of you.

So refreshing.

Leaving Melbourne
and coming here,

I just kind of lost that
whole sense of community,

and it's felt like home.

I really don't want it to end.

But I also don't want anybody
to leave.

The reality is
that I think it is,

ultimately, you and I performed
the weakest.

Really, really upsetting
and devastating

because I don't want this
to be feel like

it's a reflection on you

because you did
such a great job.

I should have done better.

But it's what it is,
that's fricking annoying.

I see the end and I don't want
it to end like this.

This would be my first Lip Sync.

I am a park and barker.

Just because I park and bark
does not mean

that I am not a f*cking,
you know, great performer.

I have not come this far
to go home now.

f*cking means everything
to me, like...

like I didn't think
I'd get this far.

I mean, like being here,

it gives you that
validation that,

like, yes, I have
something special

that is drag race worthy.

Don't underestimate me,

because I'm a, I'm
a f*cking star, like…

I'm so close.

This will not be the death
of Molly Poppinz.

All right. Now, just between us
kangaroos, what do you reckon?

Let's start with Kween Kong.
Michelle.

Kween Kong dragged up
Sister Kong

and she did an incredible job.

This week, which is
a difficult challenge,

she let us have it, Ru.

I think in these
types of challenges,

half of the job is tapping away

at the insecurities
of the person

that they're putting in drag
for the first time.

And Kween so clearly
helped Sister through this.

Kween did a fabulous job.

Let's move on down
to Molly Poppinz.

So Molly Poppinz dragged up
Kandy Flippinz.

Molly kind of fell short for me.

I didn't get the presentation
as much as I got the look.

Well, I even said to her,
"Why are your socks up?"

They're frilly socks.
They should be folded down.

And Molly's were down. She's
like, "Oh, she dressed herself."

And I was like,
"Isn't that your job?"

Right?

You know, Michelle helps me
get dressed before the show.

Thank you.

You know, you're right,
Michelle.

And that attention to detail
of the other queen

and that loving touch is
really what we're looking for.

Up next, Spankie Jackzon.

Spankie and the pizza
sl*t herself, Flash Jackzon.

And listen, the hair
was a little far back

and the make-up
was a little not great.

But I was really concerned about
Spankie doing the make-up

and it didn't turn out half
as bad as I thought it was.

I know that doesn't sound
like a compliment.

"You look really nice today,
like you never do."

Well, kind of.

And I promise you,

that's the highest compliment
coming from me.

I mean, Spankie's trajectory
of this competition,

much like the story
of Pretty Woman.

MICHELLE: Yeah.

She lip-synched in the very
first episode of this season.

And imagine if she had it
going, like, big mistake.

Huge.

I'm so proud of her.

I fell in love with Uncle Paul
backstage

and then drag only enhanced
what was already there.

You know, it's just so much fun.

All right.
Hannah Conda.

Michelle.

Hannah Conda dragged up
Helle Gator.

Hannah looked gorgeous.

Helle's make-up
was rough for me.

I'm not going to lie.
It was far too pale.

I missed a little bit
of the story.

- It just didn't quite land.
- Yeah, I agree.

I thought the story was,
you know, okay.

I just thought that even
Hannah's outfit was

much better than Helle's outfit.

They're all great girls,
but we're splitting hairs here.

Yeah.

Silence, I've made my decision.

Bring back my girls.

Welcome back, ladies.

and do this and like meet some
amazing people along the way.

Tune in next week to find out
which queen will be crowned

Down Under's next
Drag Superstar.

Are you team Kween Kong?

Or are you Team Spankie Jackzon?

Until then, remember,
if you can't love yourself,

how the hell are you going
to love somebody else?

Can I get an amen up in here?

ALL: Amen!

All right.
Let the music play.

Just kicked it in the d*ck
every single time.

The winner, RuPaul's Drag Race
Down Under,

the next Drag Superstar is...
