- Previously on "Drag Race Down Under"...
- Prior to your arrival,
you were randomly assigned a colour.
But what you don't know is
that we doubled up on the colours.
Lucina Innocence.
- I didn't think the reveal
was big enough.
- Karna Ford.
There is a disconnect.
They're telling two different stories.
Lazy Susan.
Condragulations.
You're the winner
of this week's Maxi Challenge.
Lucina Innocence, Karna Ford.
Shantay, you both stay.
[upbeat music]
- [screams]
- [laughs]
- Yes, b*tch.
- Oh, my God.
- I am so happy to be here.
- Top ten.
Oh, my God.
Top f*cking ten.
- Oof.
I am feeling all the emotions.
[groans]
- My brain feels
like it's about to explode,
but I am so relieved.
- First double save
in "Down Under" history, b*tch.
[cheers]
Yes!
- Well, that means
that we just went through the first week
for nothing, but that's okay.
That's okay.
- As soon as I heard
Lucina's name first,
I was just like, f*ck.
I felt like I let down
so many people and myself.
- Oh, babe.
- You did not at all.
- I was just a bit disappointed in myself
for not being at the expectation
that I hold myself to.
I feel like I have a reputation in Sydney,
and to leave so early,
it just would have f*cking sucked.
I'm glad it's not happened.
[laughs]
- So are we.
- Yeah.
- We're glad you're both still here.
- Well.
- Sort of.
[laughter]
- We wanna get b*tches out every week.
I wanna get to that top however many.
[laughs]
- Well, can we give it up for
our Winner as well for this challenge?
- Yeah!
[cheers]
- I feel very good to have
stamped that very first little win
so the girls don't stress.
They know who's here to play.
It's very fantastic.
- Now we know the deal.
Let's f*cking go.
- Yeah.
- This is the last time I'm safe.
It's topping from now on,
and that's not something I usually do.
- Anyone else wanna get
out of drag for the first time?
All:
Oh!
- Let's get out of this sh*t.
- It means so much to me
that I'm kept in the competition.
- [groans]
[moans]
- This has lit an entire f*cking
firebomb in my f*cking a*s.
- [laughs]
- [moans]
- I'm gonna make sure
that the reputation is lived up to.
I am Karna Ford.
I am that b*tch.
I am the performer.
- Oh, this is so pretty.
- I'm ready to start this competition.
Everyone who's gonna go up against me
is gonna be f*cking scared.
[laughs]
- The winner of "Drag Race Down Under"
receives a one-year supply
of Anastasia Beverly Hills cosmetics
and a cash prize of $50,000.
Tonight with !sis Avis Loren,
Rhys Nicholson,
and our extra-special guest judge,
Kween Kong.
- [singing] RuPaul's Drag Race
May the best drag queen win
Best drag queen win
[upbeat music]
both:
Lip Sync Assassins.
[laughter]
- Yeah, yeah.
- [singing]
It's a new day in the Werk Room
And we're still ten b*tches.
- Now, there's no chance of two of us
being saved later
in the competition, so thank you.
Thank you.
- Right now I'm feeling great.
The switch in mood and energy that I felt
going from yesterday to today
is just complete opposite ends
of whatever spectrum that is.
- I was honestly worried
when I was up against...
- I would be. [laughs]
- Miss Thing.
- Lip-synching is what I do.
It's my bread and butter, like they said.
- Don't say bread here.
Mandy's very,
very triggered at the moment.
[laughter]
- Olivia, how do you feel?
- Oh, girl, gagged.
I am gagged-gagged.
- Also, don't say gagged.
Mandy hasn't seen Ray in awhile.
- I've been given a second chance.
Deep down, like, I'm extremely scared,
and I want to just
make sure that I'm showing
that I deserve to be here.
So y'all are loud b*tches,
but I just want you
to know that there's more than just
yourself in this competition.
- Where, b*tch?
[laughter]
- Yeah, right?
- I'm looking nowhere in particular.
- I'm not gonna tone it down.
I just happen to be screaming
through this entire process
because I'm having fun.
If I go silent, call the cops
because something's gone wrong.
While we're here, though,
could we just get her microphone
turned up a bit?
It's just a little low.
[laughter]
I think I'm ready
to get the competition started.
Anybody else?
All:
Yes!
- I'm just keen
for anything that's not judging
purely on our aesthetic.
[laughter]
[all scream]
- Hello, hello, hello.
[cheers and applause]
- So Michelle walks into the Werk Room,
and, honestly,
f*ck her for looking that good.
- Good morning, Mother.
- You're an easy crowd.
[laughter]
- Yes, we are.
- I'm easy, too, so...
[laughter]
Now that you've all had your chance
to make a first impression,
this competition
is about to get real,
as in one of you will be going home...
for real.
For this week's Maxi Challenge,
we're taking inspiration
from Olivia Newton-John's
iconic role in "Grease."
[cheers]
As you form two girl groups.
One group is the Good Sandys,
and the other is the Bad Sandys.
#DragRaceDownUnder.
The Good Sandys will perform
the original song, "Mr. Right."
And the Bad Sandys
will perform the original song,
"Mr. Right Now."
- I'm ready. Throw it at me.
I'm ready to go.
- Okay, to keep things simple,
I'm gonna split you right down the middle.
So, Max Drag Queen, Olivia Dreams,
Karna Ford,
Lazy Susan, and Brenda Bressed,
you'll be the Good Sandys.
- Ooh!
[laughter]
- [laughs]
And that means
Nikita Iman, Lucina Innocence,
Freya Armani, Mandy Moobs,
and Vybe, you are the Bad Sandys.
All:
Yeah!
- We're the sluts.
[laughter]
- Thank the Lord I'm a Bad Sandy.
I feel like we all wanna
just be the good little girl.
But deep down inside,
we are horrid, disgusting people
and it is celebrated in the musical.
- Now, each of you
needs to write your own verse.
And then each group will get
a chance to work on their choreo
with this week's
extra-special guest judge,
"Drag Race Down Under" royalty,
Kween Kong!
[cheers and applause]
- Hopefully, she doesn't
expect me to do backflips and sh*t.
- Racers, start your engines,
and may the best drag queen...
all:
Win!
- Uh, how are we feeling
about being the Good...
- Good.
- The Good Sandy?
- Well, God cast me in the role.
[laughter]
- We're the Bad Sandys.
- Yes!
- It's not gonna be a stretch for us.
- Oh, it's gonna be so hard.
- In my eyes, I'm looking at it
as like an acting challenge.
I think the key
to succeeding this challenge
is seeing through the lines
of what the challenge is.
It's a girl group challenge, but it's not.
I think it's a musical theatre challenge,
but it's also not.
The one thing I am very confident in
is the fact
that I command a f*cking stage.
I mean, like, looking at the other group,
we know they've got definitely
Karna and Max that can turn it out.
But, like, I mean, Lazy Susan,
she's got a great personality.
- It's gonna be interesting to see
if they can come together.
- All right, Olivia,
what are you bringing to this challenge?
Are you singing? Are you dancing?
Are you acting?
- I'm gonna try
for a little bit of a rap, I think.
- Oh! Okay.
- She's going to become a rapstress.
God bless.
What if we played
into that kind of high school,
sort of every girl group
has their own, you know...
- Like a cliquey...
- Yeah, like a clique.
Like a popular girl.
- Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- There's a nerdy girl.
There's the...
- The religious girl.
- Yeah, the religious girl.
- I'm really debating whether I go like...
like stupid character
that could be the dumb
like lunch lady Bad Sandy.
- My biggest competition this week?
Vybe.
We are on the same frequency, but that's
gonna be an issue because there's usually
only space for one campy queen
in the competition at the end.
- Really raspy in the voice.
- I kind of wanna be,
like, flirty and just
very much like a tease.
- Luc, what are we thinking?
- I just got a start.
I don't need a ring to lose my innocence
because I'm the kind of girl
who just can't commit.
- I think like Miss Lazy Susan,
she definitely
has a Mr. Right in mind.
- Yeah.
- Maybe he doesn't know,
and maybe it's not until he
finds her under his bed like [hiss]
[laughter]
- There definitely is
a fine line between being
a Good Sandy and a Bad Sandy.
On our team, I think Karna might
be the only one who may struggle slightly
with being a Good Sandy.
- I'm hoping to show some leg movements,
maybe some p*ssy pounding.
- Ooh!
- Oh!
- Good girl p*ssy pounding.
- Good girl.
- Yeah, good girl p*ssy pounding.
- A kitty.
[laughter]
- Karna has seen "Grease."
I'm not sure if it's been recent viewing.
I think I'm going more
good girl that's a Christian.
- So are you a faithful lady?
- Well, yes.
I don't agree with everything
that Christianity stands for.
- No sh*t.
- Yeah.
- But, like, I think to be a q*eer person
and own, like, a sense of Christianity,
I think that that's powerful in itself.
- Yeah, absolutely.
- So I can bring that to this character
and do you know what?
Poke a little f*cking fun at it.
- Absolutely.
- I kind of think
that you should be like our Rizzo,
our leader of the pack.
- I can certainly do that.
Like, I can sort of be like this is...
this is what Mr. Right needs to be,
and, like, take you under
my wing and be like, all right.
- She's an incredible singer, so I'm
really confident
with her kind of leading our team.
- Should we get a little vocal run?
- We're gonna do
full Christina, all right?
[vocalising like Christina Aguilera]
[all repeating]
Hey, Brenda, do you think you're
gonna finally get
those chairs to turn this time?
- Ooh!
[laughter]
- There was a certain
singing challenge that Brenda
didn't do too well on.
- At least I've been on TV before.
- Ah, excuse me.
I starred in a feature-length
episode of "Cops."
[laughter]
- So we're out on the prison yard,
and Miss Vybe is starting to throw down
some, like, little barbs.
- I wanna announce that I'm actively
campaigning
for both Miss Congeniality
and the winner, so...
- Well, I'm actively campaigning
to be Queen TBD.
Thank you very much.
- I also wanna be TBD.
- What's TBD?
- There is someone with a solo line.
- The queen at the end.
- So there's a line at the very end
of this track that hasn't
been given to anyone yet.
- I think we should audition, darling.
- Why don't... why don't we do it?
We'll have four people
sitting with their backs to them, and...
[laughter]
- All right. Let's set it up.
- Yes.
Let's assign a panel of judges.
Let's have them sit down.
And me and Olivia...
the girl who doesn't
talk too much or too loud...
are gonna deliver the line.
See how many chairs turn,
and that's how it will be decided.
- Up first, we have Olivia Dreams.
- Kia Ora everyone.
- Ready?
- So what's it gonna be?
Mr. Right?
- Or Mr. Right Now?
- It's not the 1950s anymore.
We can have both.
- Disqualified.
She didn't say hey.
- Originally,
I thought it was just gonna be me
and Olivia going head to head.
- Hey, it's not the 1950s anymore.
We can have both.
[screams]
[laughter]
- But then Lucina put her hand up.
- Next up, we have
the very gorgeous Lucina Innocence.
- Hey, it's not the 1950s anymore.
We can have both!
[cheers]
[laughter]
- Our winner is Lucina Innocence!
[cheers]
[applause]
[laughter]
- Ha, ha, ha, ha!
Hi, everyone.
How you doing?
All:
Hi!
[cheers]
- It is the gorgeous
and stunning Kween Kong!
- Congratulations.
All: Thank you.
- She is the barrel-rolling queen
of season 2.
- Couple of bits of advice.
You know, I wanna see first and foremost,
what you bring to the table.
- We have some ideas that we ran,
and I'd love to show them to you.
- My approach to this time
is to really see what the girls
have to offer because
I don't know if me bringing
in na-caca-ca-ca barrel roll...
[laughs]
Would just absolutely put them off
and make them, you know,
spiral into a depressed mess.
You know, I think this approach
is just gonna weed out
the babies from the queens.
- Hey, baby.
And we kind of go out,
and I take centre stage.
- Oh, my God. Don't yell!
How dare you?
Love that. Great.
Let's go back to the top again.
- Sure.
- And I just wanna see,
I think, a couple of things.
Mandy, Vybe, really love it.
I can feel that you're bringing it.
Lucina and Nikita,
you've gotta match to your girls,
otherwise you're gonna
be the Michelles of the group.
- I'm not the most
technically perfect dancer by any means,
but I can definitely put
my own little spin on things.
- Do you have any ideas of where you
wanna go with your verse?
- I don't.
- That's cool.
Do you wanna tell me the vibe?
Like, what's the story?
- So it's kind of a bit more playful.
I don't need something stable,
but I'll ride the stallion.
- Ooh, I love that.
Nikita, could you just go down?
- Okay.
[laughter]
If you walk this way, this way,
and then you go this way here.
I think Lucina needs
to take a couple of deep breaths,
because right now,
I don't feel very engaged,
and I don't feel like she's engaged.
Do we have any choreo for the chorus?
- No, not yet.
- Okay, cool.
Well, I can teach you something.
- Cool.
- Can we go really intense to the front?
Like to the front, like ah da da
ba-da da da, pop, bop, bop,
bop, bop, bop, bop, bop, bop.
- We are having to simplify it
for the other girls.
And for a dancer, I would
have loved a bit more to do.
- I don't need ah ta ta ta,
bop, bop, bop, bop, ta ta ta ta ta.
- Ooh.
I started formulating a little bit
of a plan in my mind.
At some stage, you're gonna
have to get rid of that prop.
And I was like, well,
that presents a unique opportunity.
I reckon I don't give yours back.
I think I just keep collecting them.
- Do you think?
- Yeah.
- Okay, fine.
- I am a physical comedian.
I'm happy to skip a few beats
of choreo for the sake of a gag
because it adds a whole nother
layer to what I'm doing.
Woo!
- Going down the line,
our group is going okay.
Vybe, if she does everything
with a purpose, I'm losing.
Freya is like, I wanna be good,
I wanna be good, let's do this.
Nikita, she's absolutely getting there.
Then you see Lucina, and we're
gonna do everything we can
to bring her up to our level.
It's gonna be a long night.
- That's the shape of it.
Rough as guts, but it ought to be good.
- Yep.
- Go get some water.
You deserve it.
- f*ck you.
[laughter]
- Oh, my God!
[laughter]
- Oh, don't. I'm shy. Stop it.
- I'm really grateful
that she's here today.
It's really great to talk
to another drag queen
that's performed on this stage
about how to perform on stage.
- Does anyone have
any suggestions?
- Yeah, we're going '50s chorey.
- Did you make
something together?
- No, we didn't.
- Okay.
- Because Lazy doesn't
know what a box step is.
- [laughs]
- Yeah, neither do I, so... yeah.
[laughter]
- I have a game plan, which is
behave like a f*cking dickhead,
and, hopefully, no one
notices that I haven't hit
a beat in like three years.
- So going right arm, left arm,
mashed potato, shimmy, shimmy, shimmy,
box step to the back.
- f*cking box step.
- Ooh, the girls are fighting.
- This is how we
get the logie, Kong.
Come on, girl.
- Yeah, we're gonna win it this time.
This box step is gonna change the game.
- Trust and believe while this face
is smiling, the inside is dying.
- To Lazy Susan line.
To Max and Max and Max.
Olivia comes through,
and 5, 6, 7, and shump.
- Oh!
- I'm gonna go home.
That was gorg.
[laughter]
God, I'm good.
Jesus Christ, no wonder why
they got me back a second time.
- This is my week that
I'm supposed to be,
like, redeeming myself.
And so I hope that
the judges just eat it all up. [laughs]
- Oh, my God.
- [screams]
Karna's got sh*t to prove.
I'm just hoping that
it doesn't distract from
our goal of 1950s good girl.
- Boom, boom.
And then you're gonna...
- Oh!
- Do you have any ideas for how
you want your verse to go, boo?
- He's got a face
I can't forget...
because that's when I started rapping...
he's got a face I can't forget,
two massive legs
and chiseled pecs.
- Do you think that's gonna be
achievable for tomorrow?
Realistically? Be honest.
- Probably not.
- Because we... then
we can simplify it.
We could just take, like, one
element out of everything.
- Yeah.
I'm falling over the multitasking,
at remembering the rap,
and also remembering the moves
that go with the rap.
- I reckon instead
of doing too much,
just be, like, he's got
a face I can't forget.
- Two massive legs
and chiseled chest.
- Love that.
See how you just did one leg, one step.
Gorge.
I got a big heart for Miss Olivia,
but I'm really worried about her
because she looks like she's seen a ghost,
and we can't have that.
Rehearsal night. Don't sleep. As you do.
And you know, believe in yourself, babes.
You got this.
- I'm gonna practice and practice
and put my best foot forward tomorrow.
- Love yous. Good job.
- Thank you!
- Thank you so much.
See ya.
- Thank you.
[laughter]
- Good morning, ladies.
- Oh, good morning!
- It's a new g*dd*mn day
in the Werk Room,
and I'm feeling pretty
f*cking good about myself
if I do say so.
Overall, it feels like we
all did a really good job.
- I'm so excited to show
all of you what I can f*cking do,
so let's do it.
- I mean, we've been waiting
to see something from you.
So anything will be good.
- I really think this could
be my challenge to win.
- Is anyone not feeling confident
in their choreography?
- I like to treat choreography
more as like a suggestion.
[laughter]
- Well, Miss Olivia,
I did hear this week
that you were getting a little louder.
- I'm going for a bit
of a rapper moment.
- Oh!
- All right.
- Yes!
- So, sorry.
I heard a little bit of your lyrics.
And you're gonna call that rapping?
- Yes.
- Okay. I would say screaming.
[shrilly]
Hey, girls.
[normal voice]
But, you know, it was... it was cute.
- It was a late night last night.
Not gonna lie.
But I've got everything down pat,
and I'm excited to show you.
- I'm a little bit worried
about Olivia,
so I'm hoping that that is the case.
- So let's get into drag
and let's show them what we can do.
Come on!
- Yeah!
- All right, ladies,
quick show of hands.
We are talking about Mr. Right
and Mr. Right Now.
So who's married? Who's happily partnered?
Who's got a boyfriend?
- My husband.
We're in an open relationship.
We also have, like, nights off together.
- Really?
- Yeah.
There's some nights where
I'm like, no, f*ck off.
Go spend time with the other one.
I don't wanna see you today.
- Wow.
- And it works for us,
and we're happy.
It's all about, like, communication.
- I've always thought that,
like, with the g*y community too, like,
because we've already been treated
as, like, freaks and, you know,
not people, then we're so much
happier to, like, redefine
what we say is normal.
- I've been told that,
like, I'm selfish as
to having multiple partners.
I should only have one.
And I'm like, no, like, it makes me happy,
and it's my relationship, but not yours.
- I'm 27 years old,
and I've never had a boyfriend.
I think obviously, like,
I had like a lot of insecurities.
I'm not the right shape.
I... I feel like there was
a lot of casual racism.
You just have a feeling of like, you know,
that someone doesn't wanna be around you
because of the colour of your skin
or the way you look.
There's like definitely some toxic gays,
especially where I'm from.
Like, I had people, like, say to me
online,
oh, you know that Asians are
the sex sl*ves of the world.
- Oh, my God.
- So I always felt like that people
that I did talk to
were like people that, like,
fetishised Asians a lot.
- Yeah, right.
- It kind of gives you thick skin.
You know, there are
times when I think about,
like, it would be nice to come home
to someone to, like, be with.
Yeah.
Karna is my...
- Girlfriend.
- My girlfriend.
She takes all my money.
- [laughs]
- I love her so much, but yeah.
- It makes me a bit sad
because there is that stigma
in the q*eer community.
- I don't know if you all
have had this experience,
but like the drag zoning that happens.
- Oh, my God.
- Yep.
- What does that mean?
- Just like you go
on a date with a guy.
You think it's going really well.
And then, suddenly,
you're back at your house
and there's like a wig head and a frock,
and suddenly, you're like,
oh, that's my aunt.
She's from out of town.
And then they find out about the drag,
and suddenly, like,
the light dies in their eyes,
and you're like, sh*t.
- Here's another question.
Who hooks up in drag?
- Oh, my God.
I mean, occasionally.
- Is there any crazy places
that you've gone
a little bit wild that you regret?
- Yeah.
- Regret?
- Yeah, I had sex at SeaWorld once.
[shrieks]
Not with a live animal.
I promise.
- I lost my virginity
in a movie theatre.
- [gasps]
- Yay!
- Where did you find the space?
Was this gold class?
- [laughs] No, oh, my god.
Now I know that they have cameras there,
and I was like, how embarrassing.
- So I actually call this
my demon-top story
that I tell people.
- Oh, okay.
- Demon top?
- Were you wearing the Demogorgon head?
- I was wearing it.
- Oh, f*ck!
- I was wearing the
Demogorgon red face.
[screams, laughter]
- Oh, my gosh!
- Hit me up, Karna.
[laughs]
[RuPaul's "Covergirl"]
- [singing] Covergirl
Put the bass in your walk
Head to toe
Let your whole body talk
- Oh!
- Yes.
- Welcome to the main stage of
"Drag Race Down Under."
She's the Danny Zuko to my Rizzo,
!sis Avis Loren.
- Hey, Michelle, bite my weenie!
- [laughs] With relish.
Mmm.
- Mwah.
- Speaking of weenies,
it's Rhys Nicholson.
- Hey.
- Rhys, are you ready
to hand-jive, baby?
- Are you kidding?
I'm all greased up and ready to rumble.
- [laughs] Eww.
- It's sticky.
- She's the best dancer
at St. Bernadette's
with the worst reputation.
It's Kween Kong.
- That's my name. Don't wear it out.
[laughter]
- We are so excited
you're here, baby.
- Oh, thanks for having me.
- This week, "Grease" is the word
as we challenged our queens
to form two rival girl groups,
the Good Sandys and the Bad Sandys.
And tonight on the runway,
category is Sheer Genius.
- Ooh.
- Racers, start your engines,
and may the best drag queen win.
[xylophone notes]
Good morning, students.
It's a new day at Drag Race High.
Will the Good Sandys please
report to the main stage?
- [singing] Mr. Right
- [singing] So when are we gonna meet
your Mr. Right?
- [singing] What's he look like?
- [singing] How much money does he make?
- [singing] Mr. Right
- [singing] How big is his ego?
- [singing] I don't know, silly
I haven't met him yet
- Girls, I tell you what
I need my Mr. Right
to really hit the spot
You know the one
To be blessed by the Bressed
You gotta pass the test
I'll take out my retainer
- [gasps]
- You know the rest
- So if he's got the bacon,
I'll give it to him all the time
My kitty hits the floor
for a nickel and a dime
He's gotta have a job,
and he has to have a car
And if you can't afford,
sorry, babe, that's who you are
- So many men
are knocking on my door
But he's the one I'm waiting for
- Mr. Right
I'm gonna meet him in the sand
Mr. Right
And when I get him, I'ma keep him
Mr. Right
Till he arrives
I'll be the one that's
keeping me up at night
Mr. Right
- Who, who
- We go together like lead and paint
Like when I'm with him,
I can't even show restraint
I'll cook and clean
He'll call me crazy
He'll ask me why are you in my house?
I'll say I'm lazy
[laughter]
- I pray and I dream
for a man like JC
Who will love me and treat me
like the Virgin Mary
M-A-X on the floor, G-O-D at my core
Until the day that I'm wed,
y'all can use my back door
- So many men
are knocking on my door
But he's the one I'm waiting for
Mr. Right
I'm gonna meet him in the sand
Mr. Right
And when I get him I'ma keep him
Mr. Right
Till he arrives
I'll be the one that's
keeping me up at night
- Girls, I live your dreams
like every night, yeah
He wraps his arms around my waist
and holds me tight, ah
He's got a face I can't forget
Two massive legs and chiseled pecs
We go to kiss
And then next I'm waking up,
the sheets are wet
- So many men
are knocking on my door
But he's the one I'm waiting for
Mr. Right
I'm gonna meet him in the sand
Mr. Right
And when I get him, I'ma keep him
Mr. Right
Till he arrives
I'll be the one that's
keeping me up at night
Mr. Right
[laughter]
[fast xylophone tones]
- Fresh from detention,
give it up for the Bad Sandys.
- [singing] Hey, girls,
waiting for Mr. Right is fine and all
- [singing]
But sometimes you need Mr. Right Now
- [singing] Can I get an amen?
All: [singing]
Amen
- Hey, baby
You want me, it's not for free
I can give you a tease,
not just throw you the baddie
Drive-in movie, that sounds groovy
I'm not picky, we can quickie
Don't be shy, boy, bring a roomie
Won't be long-term, I'm in heat
- Lost my innocence
and now I wanna have some fun
I don't want something stable
but I'll ride the stallion
He can make my legs shake,
but my heart won't break
When he's added to my list,
I'll go and call one of his mates
- I don't need the perfect man
I just need an extra hand
- Ooh-ooh-ooh
Wow-oww
Look at him, Mr. Right Now
Ooh-ooh-ooh
Wow-oww
He's making my heart go pound
Pound, pound, pound, pound, pound
Look at him, Mr. Right Now
[upbeat rock music]
[laughter]
- Who's cruisin' for a bruisin'?
Don't say your name,
it's a thrill that I'm choosing
And with some luck,
oh, boy, my tuck
Let's hit the bushes
and maybe we'll f...
- Call me Nikita, Daddy
I'm your secret lady.
Where's your hotel key?
And said the puss, press play
My heart goes boom when you pay
My p*ssy's tight, my grips are right
You're an after-dinner delight
- I don't need the perfect man
I just need an extra hand
- Ooh-ooh-ooh
Wow-oww
Look at him, Mr. Right Now
Ooh-ooh-ooh
Wow-oww
He's making my heart go pound
Pound, pound, pound, pound, pound
Look at him, Mr. Right Now
- Ooh!
Vybes got a muffin
It needs a stuffin'
Looking around for a baker with a dozen
Inches
Give me them twitches
Bend and snap my back,
leave me in g*dd*mn stitches
- I don't need the perfect man
I just need an extra hand
Ooh-ooh-ooh
Wow-oww
Look at him, Mr. Right Now
Ooh-ooh-ooh
Wow-oww
He's making my heart go pound
Pound, pound, pound, pound, pound
Look at him, Mr. Right Now
- Woo!
- Yes!
[cheers and applause]
[laughter]
all:
So what's it gonna be?
Mr. Right?
All:
Or Mr. Right Now?
[record scratch]
- Hey, it's not
the 1950s anymore.
We can have both.
- [singing] Ooh-ooh-ooh
Wow-oww
There's nothing wrong
with wanting Mr. Right
Or Mr. Right Now
- Ooh!
[applause]
[laughter]
- [singing] 'Cause you're a star, baby
- Category is Sheer Genius.
Up first, Brenda Bressed.
- Oh, no.
- Why so plum?
- Tonight on the runway,
I am serving widow at the funeral.
I've painted the tears on.
Her mascara is running down her face.
It was a very emotional time.
- Oh!
- Oh!
- [screaming cries]
- Hey, come on.
We think Michelle is doing a great job.
- Thank you, Rhys.
[laughter]
- My apologies to anyone who
had to clean up those ashes.
But, you know, I always say it's easier
to ask for forgiveness
than ask for permission.
- Up next, Karna Ford.
- I'm walking down the runway,
and I'm wearing this
It fits me like an absolute glove.
I rhinestoned my whole body.
I have this messy updo,
and I feel so sexy and beautiful
in this dress.
- Dressed for a formal night
of fisting.
- No glove, no love.
- Lazy Susan.
Ready for takeoff.
- Ooh.
- Tonight on the runway, I am
giving you single female lawyer
from the future.
I feel like this is Lazy Susan
of the future.
- The two things
I hate about you, Susan.
Your face.
- [laughs]
- Some girls would
call it gimmicks.
God bless them.
But a gimmick is just a show
with a tacky hat on.
And I'm here to bring it.
- Virus detected.
Ar nar!
[laughter]
- Max Drag Queen.
- I'm feeling like I just
came down in a bubble, Doug.
I'm feeling very much a good b*tch.
I am gliding down the runway,
giving the judges a smile.
- It's so sad girls this age
are already getting stoned.
[laughter]
- Catch you later, Princess.
Olivia Dreams.
- Oh.
- Tonight on the runway,
I am wearing
a Cher-inspired sheer dress.
I've got these beautiful peacock feathers
flaring out from different points
on the dress.
I absolutely feel godly tonight.
I feel like this is the best
I've ever looked.
- Did you get it?
- Yeah. Oh, it's wet.
- Oh.
- Bye.
- Freya Armani.
- On the runway,
I am serving you
fairy princess, little wood nymph.
- Woodland creature by day,
bushwacker by night.
- She's living in her own world.
She twirls. She's feeling the fantasy.
And also just take a moment
to look at this face, I mean,
just the way it poses,
the way the light hits it.
I mean, come on!
I am the mug queen of this season.
- It's nice to see her branching out.
Lucina Innocence.
- On the runway, I am serving you
a red, lacy,
seductive fantasy.
I'm showing it all off
but covering just enough.
- The higher the slit,
the closer to God.
- I am feeling like
the sexiest b*tch
to ever walk this main stage,
and you cannot tell me otherwise.
- Up next, Mandy Moobs.
- Yellow, Gorgeous.
- On the runway, I am serving you
the pure essence of sunshine.
There's roughly about 69 meters
of organza in this one,
and I'm showing it off.
I've got my moobs out.
I'm giving them a little bit
of jiggle to the judges,
and I feel like they like what they see.
- Is that a golden shower...
curtain?
[laughter]
Nikita Iman.
Where there's a quill, there's a way.
- On the runway tonight,
I am giving you 3D bouquet.
"Bow"-quet? "Boo"-quet?
A bunch of flowers.
I am milking it down the runway.
I am taking my time,
giving the judges time to lap it up.
- My mother warned me.
This is what happens
if you eat the seeds from the fruit.
[laughter]
- Vybe.
Her pronouns are she and sheer.
- So I wanted to take, like,
a very conservative silhouette
and do it in, traditionally,
a fabric that is
worn on the inside of a dress.
I'm feeling really gorgeous.
I'm feeling absolutely g*dd*mn stunning.
And after being a f*cking orange
and a teacup last week,
I'm happy to have a little glamour moment.
- She writes now.
[laughter]
- Kia ora, queens!
All:
Kia ora!
- Aussie, Aussie, Aussie.
All:
Oi, oi, oi!
- This week,
you performed in groups.
Tonight, you'll be judged individually.
When I say your name, please step forward.
Karna Ford.
[dramatic music]
Max Drag Queen.
Mandy Moobs.
Nikita Iman.
You are all safe.
You may leave the stage.
Ladykins, you represent the tops
and the bottoms of the week.
And now it's time
for the judges' critiques.
Up first, Brenda Bressed.
- Your performance tonight,
it's really hard to go first
in the lineup,
and you did really, really well.
As for your runway, I would love the dress
to be just a little bit longer
to cover the heels
just to give you a longer silhouette.
But otherwise, you look fantastic.
Good job tonight.
- You were like a catapult.
You had a character.
I think that's really important
in these types of challenges.
- I loved your performance.
I felt like I learned a lot
about you through your words.
- Love the plum.
You told a story and we all bought it.
- Thank you so much.
- Lazy Susan.
- You k*lled it.
You started a conversation
around AI filters and fashion.
- I don't understand it.
I don't trust it.
I loved it so much.
I'm furious about it.
- [laughs]
- You know, I would
be worried about you if I was
competing against you.
- Your lyrics were hysterical...
go together like lead and paint...
the way you were attacking
the choreography.
And then this runway, how does
one come up with this concept?
- I've been trying out for "Drag Race"
for a long time now,
and every time I had like a new thought,
I would just like write
it down and be like,
one day, I will go to AliExpress
and order that holographic fare.
[laughter]
- Well done, Lazy.
- Thank you, Michelle.
- Olivia Dreams.
- I think that your group
was really, really strong.
So a few of them outperformed you.
You know, make sure
you're utilising your face.
- I think you did
disappear a little bit.
- There's a power in you that you're
kind of not acknowledging yet.
And I know it's there.
I saw it in glimpses yesterday
when we were rehearsing.
You are one of the only
Indigenous queens here.
You're Maori.
Bring the ancestors.
Draw strength from them.
Remember who you're representing,
and let these m*therf*ckers have that.
Stand in your power, girl.
- Thank you.
- I saw fear. I saw nerve.
Nobody was terrible.
But you have to fight for your light.
What was the toughest part
of the Good Sandy challenge?
- I tried to make
my point of difference
to be the fact that I was rapping.
There was a little bit where I thought
I had bitten off more than I could chew,
but I was really happy
with what I presented.
- Tonight on the runway,
this is beautiful,
but I wouldn't call it sheer.
- Up next, Freya Armani.
- I'm not quite sure of what
you're presenting tonight.
- So I wanted to be this
wood-nymphy fairy princess,
give you something short
and poofy and just fun.
- Yeah, I didn't get it,
but that's okay.
- I don't mind short and poofy.
Those are my Pornhub search terms.
[laughter]
- Same!
- You felt the need
to act out all of the words.
It was like watching interpretive dance,
so it became frenetic.
And I'm not really getting sheer
to be honest.
- It's sheer fabric.
- Right.
There's just so much of it that
it doesn't kind of look sheer.
- Try not to hear these critiques
as negative.
I felt like that Michelle was saying to me
that I was a horrible drag queen
and I was gonna die tomorrow.
- I was.
- Yeah, she was.
[laughter]
- You've got all
of the ingredients.
There were just a couple of things
that were missing.
- Lucina Innocence.
- Your face is painted
so beautifully.
I would say wear a nude pump
rather than a clear.
But that's a small critique right there.
- There's like a kind of
Jennifer Coolidge vibe about you.
But sexuality to you
can be confused a little bit
as low energy at times,
but in challenges, I think we need more.
- You kind of just got lost
in the background for me.
- You have to forge
your own vision
for what you want us to see.
- Vybe.
- In the challenge tonight,
you stole the show for me.
- You've got this thing.
There's like this thing.
- It's a vibe.
- It's a vibe.
[laughter]
- It's a vibe.
- This look tonight
is beautiful.
It's like Princess Grace
hitting the slots in Monaco.
[laughter]
- You are a scene-stealer.
Every trick that was up your sleeve
was ex*cuted perfectly.
Tonight on the runway,
technically, it isn't sheer,
but the idea of using the nude with it
to give it the sheer element
was the genius part of it.
Very strong night.
Super proud of you.
Thank you, queens.
I think we've heard enough.
While you untuck in the Werk Room,
the judges and I will deliberate.
[engine starting]
[slurping, bubbling]
- Good morning, you sluts.
- Oh, my gosh.
- Oh, my God!
- Ah, breakfast. Thank God.
- Oh.
Grab a drink, girls.
- And what happened?
- What happened? What happened?
- Tell us.
- They said that
I came out really strong.
I set the tone for the rest of the group.
And they said they loved the look.
- Oh, well done, baby.
- [sighs]
It just felt so, so good.
- So you think you've won?
- Well, see,
I don't know because Miss Susan...
[laughs] She got great critiques as well.
- Really good.
- It was very...
they were very lovely.
- Being completely transparent,
I don't think it meets the brief
at all for the runway.
- [screams]
- At all.
The brief was sheer runway,
and she's wearing plastic.
That's not fabric. It is translucent.
- I might not have met sheer,
but I did hit genius.
- Oh!
- I think my biggest competition
at this point is Lazy Susan.
Some of the concepts she has in her mind
are just things I would never
in a million years think of.
- So I'm gonna go out on a limb
and assume that you also
got really good critiques.
- Yeah.
- Yeah, I really did.
I really, really did.
The rhinestone cigarettes
and like collecting them
as I went, like, just
paid off really, really well.
So I'm very, very happy.
- I actually, immediately,
really want to know how Freya is feeling.
- Yeah.
- Well, I am in the
bottom three tonight.
I... I just...
[cries] I just...
Oh, my God.
I can't even speak.
This is my whole life.
And I just...
[crying] Yeah, I'm just my worst...
I'm my own worst critic.
So when I hear that
I did, like, not as good
as I thought I did,
I just take it really hard.
- Do you think maybe
they just compared
you two together because you
were first and you were first?
- It felt like it a little bit.
Like as soon as I heard her verse,
I was like, oh, f*ck.
- I think it's really hard to say.
Out of the three of us
who will be lip-synching,
Olivia and Freya definitely
got worse critiques on their runways,
so I'm just hoping that my runway
is enough to pull me through.
- I have a sneaking suspicion
it's my... my turn...
my turn this week.
Out of the two of them,
I think definitely
I'd be at the bottom, which is not very...
I'm not disappointed.
I'm just trying my best and...
[crying] It doesn't seem to be enough, so.
- I feel like you've done f*cking
Wellington f*cking proud.
- Yeah.
- Yeah.
- I just know that there's
gonna be queens down there
in the local scene who look
at me now and just think,
you didn't deserve to be
there in the first place.
- But they're not on here.
- Exactly.
- But they're not on here.
- Where are they?
- And I know the girls
from Wellington, and to be honest,
like, let's be real.
[laughter]
Let's be for real, girl.
Honestly, I am just so proud
to have just you
really represent yourself and Wellington,
so be proud of that.
- Mm-hmm.
- That was the most human
Nikita's ever been.
[laughter]
- I think it's just because
she wants to sleep with me.
[laughter]
- With that being said,
should y'all be
learning your lip sync?
[laughter]
- I'm not worried at all.
- Yeah!
- Everywhere down.
- I know that I have
a power inside of me
that comes out when I'm on stage.
- Hey, ladies.
- If I have to lip-synch,
these girls should be terrified.
I'm gonna m*rder this b*tch.
- All right, now,
just between us platypussies,
what do you think?
Starting with Brenda Bressed.
- She did so well.
I'm not sure if I can
fault her on the challenge.
- That group was
leading off her energy.
On the runway tonight,
I'm loving how she's giving
these kind of characters on stage.
- She had a very solid performance,
very enigmatic on stage,
and I thought she delivered.
Lazy Susan.
- Her runway,
her mind is so powerful,
and I cannot wait to see
what she brings next.
- I love the character play.
I think the physical comedy
was my favourite part.
The runway, come on!
Who the f*ck thinks of
something like that?
- I've been doing this
for a long time.
This is the first time I have
seen anything at this level.
Olivia Dreams.
- This is the craziest group of girls,
and you need to step yourself up.
- I really hope that those words
just put my big size-15
foot up her a*s so that she can, you know,
show us what she's made of.
- They 15s?
- Yeah. Wide. It's 15 wide.
- I thought she was like
the cheerleader one
of the Good Sandys, and I believed it.
I think what you're talking about,
Kween Kong,
is there's a little bit
of imposter syndrome going on here
with Olivia Dreams,
and she feels looking around,
what am I doing here?
Freya Armani.
- Freya did really well this week.
She was just a little bit dead
behind the eyes for me.
I'm not sure...
- That doesn't really go
with the "did really well."
- I do think that her connection
wasn't quite there.
- I think Freya
is still cooking.
- I think she was
just doing the most.
And if she scaled that back a little bit,
it would have been just fine.
Tonight on the runway,
I love that she took a risk,
but it just wasn't quite there.
Lucina Innocence.
- This week,
she's really pushed herself.
The other girls in the group,
again, were just really strong.
- She's using her
kind of low-energy
drag persona as a mask
and not as like a superpower.
- I think because
she is so pretty,
she can really rely on us
looking at how gorgeous
that face is.
No, I want more. I want more!
- In the category
of Sheer Genius,
I feel like she hit the mark
a little bit closer
than some of the other girls.
But at 6'5 ", 6'6", she should not
be fading into any background.
That's for sure.
Vybe.
- She's got this kind
of hammy performance,
and then we get details, details, details.
- She got tens across
the board from me.
- Watching Vybe in that challenge
was a masterclass.
I literally had to force myself
to watch other people.
That's how commanding she was.
Rhys, do you wanna play
a little xylophone for us?
- Yes!
- Hit it.
[xylophone playing]
Rhys! Shut it!
Sounds like we've made our decision.
Bring back my girls.
[xylophone playing]
Welcome back, queens.
We've made some decisions.
Lazy Susan, you're the one that we want.
Condragulations.
You're the winner of
this week's challenge.
[applause]
- Yeah, Lazy.
- You've won a 65-inch...
Frame TV from our mates
at Samsung.
- Woo! [laughs]
Now I just need a wall.
[laughter]
The girls back in Melbourne are going
to be screaming that Lazy Susan
won a choreography challenge.
It's f*cked, but I'm here
for this twisted reality.
- Vybe, Brenda Bressed,
you're safe.
- Ooh.
- You may join the other girls.
[suspenseful music]
Olivia Dreams.
On the runway, we saw improvement,
but the judges weren't hopelessly devoted
to your Good Sandy.
Lucina Innocence.
On the runway, you were lace lightning,
but your Sandra Dee was a Sandra B-minus.
Freya Armani, fongool, you're safe.
[cheering]
Olivia, Lucina, I'm sorry, my dears,
but you are both up for elimination.
- I didn't expect to
be here again so soon,
but I'm not gonna give up that easily.
I will not go down without a fight.
- Two beautiful queens
stand before me.
This is your last chance
to impress the judges
and save yourself from elimination.
- There is no way
that I'm going home.
I'm here to show people why
I'm here in the first place.
- The time has come
for you to Lip Sync for Your Life.
Good luck.
And don't f*ck it up.
- [singing] It's not the first time
I've felt this heartache
It's not the first time
I've felt my world shake
Won't be the last time I cry
But there's no tears tonight
Leaving my stress at the door
till daybreak
'Cause I can feel it in the air
Something's different tonight
I'm stepping out of your shadow
And moving into the light
Figured it out, now I'm liberated
Feel like I'm somebody new
Won't wait around for
your love now, baby
You're never coming through
And I'm freefallin'
I'm letting go,
just let the melody flow
Said I'm freefallin'
I'm feeling so like, whatever
'Cause things can only get better
I'm free tonight
Sweet dreams
Goodbye
- Ah!
- Yes, b*tch!
- [singing] Tonight, it's all good
I'm all right
And I'm free
And I'm freefallin'
I'm letting go,
just let the melody flow
Said I'm freefallin'
I'm feeling so like whatever
'Cause things can only get better
I'm free tonight
Sweet dreams
Goodbye
I'm free tonight
It's all good
I'm all right
- Yes, b*tch.
[cheering]
- Woo!
- Great job!
- Queens, we have
made our decision.
[dramatic music]
Lucina Innocence.
Shantay, you stay.
- Thank you so much.
- You may join the other girls.
[applause]
- Olivia Dreams.
When you're good, you're good,
but when you're bad,
you're even better.
Now, sashay away.
- Thank you so much for giving me
this opportunity
to showcase who I am.
I'm very grateful for it.
[applause]
all:
Olivia!
- I'm not living, laughing,
loving this outcome.
[laughter]
Jesus Christ.
What do I write?
I'm not feeling great, honestly.
I've had a great time though.
To be here as the first Wellington queen,
I know my mom's proud.
I know my boyfriend's proud.
Yeah, I think that's it.
Deep down, I know I'm proud as well.
Well, it's been a blast.
Whoa.
- Condragulations, queens.
And remember, stop relying on that body
and let your inner light shine through.
Can I get a hee-hee?
All:
Hee-hee!
[laughter]
- Now, let the music play!
- [singing] A little bit of love
goes a long, long way
Lifting you up to a brighter day
Can you feel the love?
- Next time on
"Drag Race Down Under"...
- We're playing
I'm a Celebrity Impersonator,
Snatch Me Out of Here.
[cheers]
- Max, who were you thinking
of doing for Snatch Game?
- Mrs. Claus.
- [gasps]
- Well, she is my first option.
- May the best drag queen win.
- Oh, my God.
What the f*ck is wrong with you?
- I'm gonna do Mrs. Claus.
I'm doing Mrs. Claus.
- [laughs]
- Finding out that
you're making these
is blowing my f*cking mind.
- I kind of liked
that hot-mess energy.
- This is wink-wink,
nudge-nudge at its finest.
