04x07 - The Rhys Roast

Post by bunniefuu »

- Previously
on "Drag Race Down Under"...

- This week, it's all
about the drama mama,

Auditioning for the new
soap, "Platypussies on Fire."

[together]
Ohh!

- Remember how much he loved it
when I did this with my body?

[laugh]

- It was far too too much.

- I was hit...
in the head.

- Don't call us.

- You like this, the "tradie
and the tuck shop lady."

- Lazy Susan, you got the part.

Condragulations,
you're the winner

of this week's challenge.

Nikita Iman, shantay, you stay.

My sweet Max, sashay away.

[dramatic music]

[funky music]

- [sighs]

Walking back into the Werk Room,

it is sad to see my sister go.

"Thank you guys for being
my home away from home.

Love you all."
- Love you, Max.

- Love you...

- Love you, Maxie.

- You f*cking did it.

- But I do feel that
she left on a high,

and she should be
so proud of herself

because of what she's
done in this competition.

To be able to come here after what
she has gone through this year.

- Yeah.
Honestly, I don't know how she did it.

- She will be missed.

- Absolutely.
- Absolutely.

- How do you feel, baby?

- Sad.

We just connected really quick.

- Yeah.

- I'm really going to miss
Max's energy in the room.

They were a fierce competitor
in this competition.

- Love you, Max.
- Love you, Max.

You're getting good
at that, Nikita.

- Y'all, this is the only
f*cking secret to my business.

[laughter]

- Shut up.
- Sit.

Sit.
- Yeah, yeah.

Let's have a little sit-down.

- Do you want me to
help that off you, babe?

- Ugh.
- Oh.

Good lord.

- Well, congratulations, Lazy.

- Well done.

- The curse is back!

Ah!

For me?

Number three.

Let me just put that on top there.

- Oh, but you know what?

A huge congratulations to you, baby.

When they called your name, I was like...

[gasps]

- This is my second week
in the top in a row.

- Oh, honey.
- So now I'm understanding the edging.

And normally, I'm OK with that.

But not here.

- Do you like edging more or bottoming?

[laughter]

- [squeals]

Look, I am starting to feel
the girls' edging frustration.

- Can we have both?

- I need to get a win.

I need to be in this finale.

There is no way I'm not going to be there.

- How do you feel,
the last Kiwi going on, Nik?

- Yes.
- Yeah.

- It feels amazing to still
be here and still be repping

Tamaki and Aotearoa down.

It's an amazing opportunity
for me to showcase my heritage

and where I'm from.

But I'm not letting
that pressure get in my head.

- Top five.
- Top five.

- We're officially
the Spice Girls of Down Under.

- I just have to knock
these b*tches out one by one.

Bring it on.

- Ooh!

- Who else do I need to send home?

- [laughs]

- It's the Nikita show.

Ding!

- Ahh!

- Ah!
- I did it!

- Ahh!

- Yeah,
and I'll see you at the finale.

[laughs]

- The winner
of "Drag Race Down Under"

receives a one-year supply
of Anastasia Beverly Hills cosmetics.

And a cash prize of $50,000.

Tonight with Kita Mean, Rhys Nicholson,

and our extra-special
guest judge, Anita Wigl'it.

- [singing] "RuPaul's Drag Race"

May the best drag queen win

Best drag queen win

[upbeat music]

[all shouting]

Top five!

- b*tch.

- Now then.

- Oh, gorgeous.

- Morning, Estefano.

How are we feeling?

I feel so sad to see Maxie leave.
- Yes.

- I mean,
this table feels so much bigger.

- A giant, huge,
gaping hole left behind by Max.

Freya, how you feeling?

[laughter]

- Max is gone.

But, you know,
this is a competition.

I'm here for me.

I want to f*cking win so bad.

- I mean,
it has to be this week.

- This is not the time to ease up.

It's time to push the pedal.

My time is now.

I'm ready for whatever comes next.

- So Ms. Mandy.

- Yes, my darling.

- Obviously,
we won the sewing challenge.

- I did.

- And last week, the baby
got thrown out with the bathwater.

[laughs]

- Yeah, no, the baby's
been put up for adoption.

- Yes, gorgeous, gorgeous.

- Dressing up as an adult
baby was an absolute risk.

So I'm happy that I have another week
to show the judges who I am.

I haven't lip-synced yet.

You haven't.

You haven't.
Just you two.

- Yeah.

Hopefully the next challenge is something
within more my strengths.

But if it isn't,
I feel like I just

need to take the judges' critiques
and kind of just

really deliver it.

Well,
I've sent two b*tches home, so...

- make it a third.

- I'm not worried about
going up against you.

- Mm.

- I like you.

I really do.

- Honestly.

- As long as it's not Lazy this week.

- Yes. We're back.
- Yes, agree, agree.

- We're back.

- We are re-putting into power
the "Anyone But Lazy" rule.

- The ABL rule is back in effect.

- ABL, Anyone But Lazy.

I just want to manifest Lazy
will be lip-syncing this week.

- Lazy will...

- Lazy will be lip-syncing this week.

[together]
Lazy will be lip-syncing!

Lazy will be lip-syncing!

[laughter]

- You girls are f*cking
wretched pieces of sh*t.

[sirens wailing]

[together]
Ohh!

- Perfect timing.
- All right!

- Coming, Miss Hale.

- Miss Hale.
- Miss Hale.

- Hello, hello, hello.

[together]
Good morning, Ms. Visage!

- We are just one week away

from crowning "Down Under's"
next drag superstar.

- This week, it all hinges
on what this final challenge is.

- Who is hungry to win?

- I'm starving.

- Famished.

- I'm just generally hungry.

Let me be an idiot
one final time before I get

to be gorgeous at the finale.

- Because for this
week's Maxi Challenge,

we're having a roast.

- Ahh!
- b*tch.

- And our person of the hour
is comedian, actor, and author,

Rhys Nicholson.

[cheers and applause]

- I have wanted a roast
from the second this competition

was announced.

I'm sorry, but I'm getting
my solo win this week.

And I'm going to sh*t
on a b*tch to do it.

- Later today,
you'll workshop with me

and the winner of
season one, Kita Mean.

- Oh, yeah!
- Fun.

- Tomorrow at the Rhys roast,
we'll be joined by our

extra-special guest judge,
everybody's favourite

Miss Congeniality
from season one, Anita Wigl'it!

[cheers and applause]

- How exciting.

- Lazy Susan, as the winner
of last week's challenge,

you get to determine the running order.

- Let's say walking order.

[laughter]

- Racers, start your engines.

And may the best drag queen...

all: Win!

[upbeat music]

- Let's go, let's go.

- Time to get nasty.

- This week's
Maxi Challenge is a roast.

- How are you feeling, ma'am?

- [groans]

God!

I've never done a roast before.

Never been to a roast.

Never seen a roast.

- Mandy says she's never seen
a roast, which surprised me,

because this is something
that doesn't exist

solely in the drag world.

This is stand-up comedy.

This is delivering a joke and a read.

- I've never done a roast.

I'm a little bit nervous,
but I'm excited to do it.

- Mm-hmm.
- [laughs]

- Something new, isn't it?
- I know.

It's just something completely new.

I think I'm funny.

But I'm funny because I say dumb sh*t.

To sit down and write jokes is very
much out of my comfort zone.

- Lazy, are you, like, over the moon?

Do you like... like,
is this your thing?

- I love a roast.

I feel like I really need to prove
that I can be a hateful b*tch again.

- You've proven it to us.

- Yeah.

We can see it.

- [laughs]

News to no one.

My big competition in this
challenge will be Vybe.

There are three wins on
my back and one on hers,

and I'm sure she'd like
to just balance the credit

scores a little bit.

- I'm excited to see what the hell
you do choosing this order.

- I just got to review my
notes from the morning.

This... what was it, ABL?

[laughter]

- And remember who came up with that.

- I was not a part of that.

- It was Vybe!

- Suddenly, Lazy Susan has a
lot of friends in this room.

- One to five, what do you want?

- Two.

- I would love to go first or second.
- Ooh.

- My dear, sweet, winless Freya.

- I would love third.

I've been strategic.

I said third because
Nikita wanted to go second.

So if I go after a train wreck,
then I'll look even better.

[laughs]

- Vybe.

- Put me either after
or before someone who

you think will go horrible.

- [laughs]

Well, I'm gonna stew.

- So you're just giving us a we shall see.

- We shall see.

- Kita, what's your
favourite Sunday roast?

- Well, on a Sunday,
I've always quite

enjoyed pork in my mouth.

- I like pork in my mouth, too.

Only not the pig.

- [laughs]

- So you like pork seven days a week.

- You know, more on a Sunday.

Yeah, yeah.

- It is the Lord's day, after all.

- And it's divine.
[laughs]

- Ah!

- Good morning, good morning.

- Vybe, are you a host?

- Yes.

I used to be deathly afraid of hosting.

But when I started drag, like,
you have to put your comfort

aside and entertain a room.

Now, I'm confident
in hosting and I think life

is one big improv challenge.

- Give us a little bit, Vybe.

- Let's see.

I don't want to reveal too much.

- Understood.

- Lazy Susan has the face
of a Tupperware container

that you just realised
wasn't dishwasher-safe.

[laughter]

Freya,
your skill at crafting a joke

is comparable to your performance
on the sewing challenge.

- Ooh.
- Seamless.

- [laughs]

I think you know how far you
can take it, and that is good.

I know you're saving a lot.

- Yes.

- And I respect that,
because I want you to.

Because then the laugh
is more natural for us.

- You know, you are seasoned.

You can tell.

And we love a seasoned roast.

It's that much more delicious.
- Who doesn't?

Not just salt and pepper here.

We got the garlic salt.
We got the onion powder.

It's all of it.

- Yes.

Remember, it can't be too far.

If it's funny,
I'm looking forward to everything

that you're going to bring us.
- Thank you.

See you tomorrow.

- Bye Vybe!

Freya Armani!

We want to know what
you've got so far.

- Rhys is also now an author,
releasing their first book.

- Clap, clap, clap, clap, clap.

- And after the reviews came in,
it will now be their last book.

- OK.

- Middle ground?
Not funny, no?

- Cute.
- Cute.

- It's like a... it's a little zing.

It's not a...

- stab 'em.

- What you've got there, I can see,

has the potential to be very funny.

- Don't play it safe.

- I don't want to.

- Speaking of safe,
you've been safe most of the season.

Not trying to make you feel bad.

- No, I know.

- This is your chance.

- Yeah.

- Be a shady b*tch.

- That I can do.

- I know!

And I know you're funny
and you're funnier than those.

- Thank you.

Thank you both.
- Do you.

- Shake it, sis.

- [laughs]

I'm a bit concerned.

- Yeah, I'm concerned, too.

- How'd you go?

- They said, OK, it was cute,
it wasn't that funny.

Make it funnier.

Cute is not what you want
to go for for a roast.

It wasn't, like, bite-y enough.

I'm not feeling the best,
but I can't let the girls know.

I'm not, like, taken aback
by those critiques at all.

If they sense a sign of weakness,

they might make it
a part of their roast.

So I feel like I kind of
have to, you know, just say,

I got this.

And if they're like,
you can be funnier, then great.

I will do that.

Everything's going to be fine!

- Hello, Mandy Moobs.

- Hi.

- Are you ready to be shady?

- Sort of.

Kind of.

- I don't believe you.

- This one thing is like the
one thing I didn't want to do.

- Let that go.

- I'm like, this is my biggest
hurdle right before the one

place I want to be.

- Face that hurdle, Mandy.

- Yeah.

- I've been so worried
about all the other girls

and what they've been
doing that I've sort

of just gone inside myself.

- Don't get thrown off your
game now in the top five.

It's not going to serve you.

- No.

Like,
I do host a show back home,

so I'm more than comfortable
just going off the cuff.

It's just the structure and,
like, writing the jokes.

- Yeah, again,
I think you're overthinking it.

I think you know what to do.

- Maybe.

I have, like...

- a few dozen pages.

- Oh.

A few dozen pages.

- So I want to introduce
how Max has left a big hole

in this competition.

Speaking of Freya.

I'm gonna talk about Freya's hole.

Like, at the start,
it was the size I've got to be.

But now it looks like
the same size as the ozone.

And sort of, like,
go down that route.

- Yes.

- Speaking of holes, Michelle.

- Yes.

- Yay!

- Yes.

- You've got pages of content.

Go through it.

Find the ones that you
know are, like, hits.

And then start
weeding out the extra.

You don't need to do two
whole minutes on gaping holes.

- I could.

- Mandy could.

I think you know what you need to do.

Put your blinders on.

If you run the race
and you're looking like this,

you're going to fall.

- Yeah, that's a good analogy.

- Good luck.
- Thank you.

- Hurdles are meant to be jumped.
- Yes.

- Absolutely.
I will.

Thank you.
- Bye.

- Bye!

- Hi!

- Are you ready to roast?

- Yeah.

[laughs]

- She says with a little trepidation.

- I am sh1tting myself.

I am so nervous.

- I mean, you come
from ballroom culture.

For me, being raised in the ballroom,

I learned how to read before I
learned how to walk or speak.

- True.

From the angle of ballroom,
I kind of have an idea

of the direction I want to go.

So I'm going to align
a person to the category

to throw shade at them.

- OK.

- Like a Rhys Nicholson Vogue night.

- Do you have an example or two?

- Our first category of the
night is butch queen realness.

This category is
dedicated to my brother

from another pig mother, Mandy Moobs.

- If you're doing this ballroom
vibe, give it the voice,

give it the energy.

- You know, I'm not usually
the girls that go like...

cataka-cataka-ka.

- When you did that,
you felt and looked so confident.

- You know what they look like.

You know what they sound like.
- Yeah.

- You just got to be
that, even though you've

never done that role.

- Yeah.

[singing] Nikita be so p*ssy

Nikita be so cut

Nikita brings the flavour

She brings you what you want

- Wow!
- Yes.

- See that strength?
- Yeah.

- That's who you have to channel
through the whole thing.

- I'm going to be the b*tch by that.

- OK.
- Yay.

- Good luck to you, Nikita.
- Get this girl.

f*ck it up.

- Thanks, baby.

- Oh!

- Hello.

- Lazy Susan has joined us.

- Oh my gosh.

I'm a bit nervous.

- Are you?

- Well, this challenge
is everything to me.

Like, I already feel
a bit salty that I missed

out on the reading challenge.

- [laughs]

- So to me, this could be the
return to grace, you know?

- Wow.

OK, so you're putting
pressure on yourself.

- Yeah.

This is like my sewing
challenge for Mandy,

or, like, the dance
challenge for Freya.

Like, me and my sisters,
all we do is roast.

- Well, I can't wait to see what

you've started to jot down.

- I'm opening the show.
- Oh.

- Yeah.

To me, like,
being able to set the tone

and also have the
access to all the jokes

that people are going to make before
they've made them is great.

- OK.
- Clever.

- I want that first slot because I'm
confident in my ability to do this.

And I also want to be as far
away from Vybe as possible.

Now Rhys, you recently
released a cookbook.

However,
I don't think I'll be taking

my nutritional
information from someone

who looks like
a starving Victorian child.

You look like a little match girl
whose three wishes were used

to look like a perimenopausal art teacher.

- [laughs]

- I have no timing when it comes to dance.

But the sound of a joke
and where it needs to land,

that I can do.

- The jokes are very funny.

- You are really starting out strong.

- Fabulous.

- I can't wait to see what you bring.

- Hopefully pudding.

[laughter]

[upbeat music]

- Ladies.

- Ooh, b*tch.

OK.

- I'm of the opinion that, like,
running order

can only take you so far.

And if you're going to f*cking suck,

you're going to suck whether
you're at the 8:30 slot or the 9:30 slot.

- 100%
- True.

- So as much as my dream
is to be a shady c**t, as a group,

it's better for the entire
feel if it feels like it

has flow and dimension.

So the order is going to
be one, two, three, four...

- Five!

[laughter]

She can put me
wherever she wants me.

I know how well I'm going
to do in this challenge.

- Let's f*cking k*ll this roast, girlies.

- Let's do it!

[upbeat music]

all: Who's ready to roast!

- To roast!

- It's a new day in the Werk Room.

It is roast day.

- Well, good morning,
you shady f*cking b*tches.

- Morning.

- How is everyone feeling?

- Yesterday,
I was a bit nervous.

- You and me both, girl.

- First time ever doing a roast.

But the second I just sat down,
I was like, oh, no, this is...

- The cruelty just flows out of you.

- Yeah.

- Kita and Michelle said I
have the bones of a good roast.

I've just got to get out of my
head and just deliver it well.

- I feel a lot more confident
today and kind of really

looking forward to it.

I feel like I have a good structure.

Let's just see whether
if I can deliver it.

- No matter what happens today,
I have to be in this finale,

so I am here to fight.

- Ohh.

- This is the day that
will forever be etched

into your Wikipedia page.

Were you fifth out or
were you in the finale?

- Exactly.

[tense music]

- [sighs]

- It's good to laugh with friends.

- The last time we'll be together.

- I didn't realise this
was an acting challenge.

[laughter]

- Let's get started,
then, shall we, ladies?

- All right.

Should I shave your back?
- Please.

Get the razor.
- Let's do it.

[upbeat music]

- You know what?
- What?

- I love a roast.

- Who doesn't love to laugh,
you know?

- I love roasts,
because I feel like that matches

Australian humour the best.

- Australian humour, you can
get away with so much more.

It's like the C-word.

Like, when an American
says the C-word,

you're like, you disgusting pig.

- But here,
it's like, oh really?

I love you, too.

- Yeah.

- Freya, like, how much
of American culture

did you experience?

And then when was that
shift to, like, Australia?

- I moved here when I was 12.

- Yeah.

- So like, I had already
developed enough

of an understanding of life
that when I moved here,

there was culture shock.

When I think back to the United States,

I don't have very fond memories.

My parents wanted to move
because if you're not straight,

white, male,
you know, if you don't

fit all these specific boxes,
it's not a safe place for you to live.

Living in an area
where there was a lot of crime

and a high number of school shootings...

- That's so wild.

- Yeah. It's wild to, like, think about
and put myself back there.

- it's not something I like
to think about too much.

I mean, my dad worked in, like,
high-level security in America.

We had a g*n in the house.

It was locked in a safe.
- Oh, wow.

- I don't think you even realise
how that can affect kids.

- Yeah.

- Like, just that there's
a weapon in the house.

And then all the school
shootings that happened.

- Yeah.

- All of a sudden,
those alarms are going off

and, you know,
you're getting under your desk.

People have had it way worse.

And they still have it way worse there.

- The one thing Australia
got right was our g*n laws.

- What was the reason?

- It was a mass sh**ting in Port Arthur.

- A man, who was very, like, unwell, like,

got a hold of a g*n and went to this,

like,
cafe tourist destination and just

k*lled a bunch of people.

- Wow.

- You really can be here
and then not be here in a moment.

- Immediately,
the right government outlawed g*ns.

Everywhere like,
yeah, you know what?

No g*ns for anyone.

- I just don't believe
in weapons and violence.

You know what I mean?

Like, there's just no need for it.

Moving across the world was
a fresh start for the family.

And that's when we landed on
Brisbane and never looked back.

There was like a moment
where I just stopped

considering America home.

- Yeah.

- And I love it here.

- I'm really happy that Freya has
sort of said, like, she feels safe,

supported, and welcome here.

Because she is.

[upbeat music]

- What the bloody hell's
happening around here?

- Oh, my god!

- You f*cking b*stard!

- Oh, my goodness.

Oh no, I'm having flashbacks.

Ah!

Ooh! Ooh!

[gasps]
I think I'll be dreadful.

[gasps]

It probably doesn't help
that I'm sewing plastic.

[gasps]

Orgasming in front of RuPaul.

- My goodness,
we struggled, didn't we?

[dramatic music]

- [gasping]

Finished.

Oh my goodness gracious me.

- I hear the smooth dulcet
tones of Maxine Maurine Shield

stomping into the Werk Room.

- Top five.

- Oh my god.
- Oh, my gosh.

- We're around a very
consummate professional

with giant t*ts.

- So I thought you took Ariel's voice.

Why is your voice...

[laughter]

- No, we've just
completed Mardi Gras.

- Oh, you poor b*tch.

- So what's the challenge today?

- We're roasting Rhys Nicholson.

Yes.

- Be smart about it.

We love a fart joke.

We love a sh*t joke.

But we're also lifting it
up to "Drag Race" standard

- Maxi, if you could have
roasted your season 1 sisters,

do you have any choice
words you could share?

- No, I think Reddit's done that already.

[laughter]

But I'm not going to
take up any more time.

Congratulations, girls.

Have a fabulous roast!

- Thank you, Maxi!

- Oh!

[laughter]

- Well, well, well.

As Julia Child would say,
bon appétit, b*tch.

It's time for a roast.

[upbeat music]

- [laughs]

[singing] Covergirl

Put the bass in your walk

Head to toe

Let your whole body talk

And work

- Welcome to the main stage
of "Drag Race Down Under."

Kita Mean, our season 1 winner.

How do you like your roast?

- I like my roast extra-crunchy.

Kind of like Anita with less makeup.

- Ooh.

- Truth.

- Rhys Nicholson,
any advice for the queens?

- I say either go hard or go home.

But if you are hard
for longer than four hours,

do seek medical attention.

- Ow.

- I got about 40 minutes left.

[laughter]

- And our extra-special
guest judge Anita Wigl'it.

Welcome, darling.

- You know, the last time I was
at a roast with Rhys and Kita,

I got pregnant.

[laughter]

- Me too!

[laughter]

This week, we challenged
our queens to royally roast

our very own Rhys Nicholson.

And tonight on the runway,
category is Cape Fierce.

Racers, start your engines,
and may the best drag queen win!

[jazzy music]

Welcome to the Rhys Roast.

[cheers and applause]

First up,
she's here to take us for a spin.

It's Lazy Susan.

- Yay!

[cheers and applause]

- We are here tonight to take part

in a time-honoured tradition...
insulting Rhys Nicholson.

This was a tradition that was started

[laughter]

Now Rhys, tonight, you'll be read
more times than your books.

[laughter]

I would be remiss if I didn't recognise
our incredible judging panel.

Otherwise known
as what happens when Joel

Creasey and RuPaul are busy.

[laughter]

We've got the incredible Anita Wigl'it,
star of "Drag Race Down Under"

and "Canada Versus the World."

They tried to send you
home on two continents.

You are the Julian Assange of drag.

- Ooh!

[laughter]

Michelle, I'm so glad
you're here tonight.

Because it is the only way we can
know if Madonna is safe.

[laughter]

But tonight, Rhys, they're going
to say awful things about you.

They're going to mock your
pale skin, your red hair,

your lisp, your frail body.

But you can't listen to them.

Because you also have tiny, weird ears.

[laughter]

I'd like to introduce
you to our next roaster.

She is our ballroom diva.

She always gets 10s, 10s, 10s.

Unfortunately,
the test is out of 100.

[laughter]

Give it up, Nikita Iman.

Give it up.
Give it up.

[laughter]

Give it up.
Give it up!

[cheers and applause]

- Talofa lava and welcome to
"Down Under's" first Vogue Night.

Now Rhys, I know that you're
so into voguing right now.

But it's a dip,
not a death drop.

So together, please.

All: It's a dip,

not a death drop.

- Period.

Nikita is... she's trying.

- Category is Body-ody-ody-ody.

Now bring it in a Kita Mean-a fit

with the theme of
draping based on her skin

after her gastric bypass.

[laughter]

- I think she's flying the plane.

I just don't know if
it's landing anywhere.

- And now talking about Kita's useless

extra skin that's been weighing
her down, it's Anita Wigl'it!

[laughter]

Rhys, do you know what
we call in the community?

- Aw...

- A chop.

- We've actually got a very
special Vogue performance

tonight by Rhys Nicholson.

So everybody, please jump in
and support our little they/them.

- [singing] Rhys brings the p*ssy

Rhys brings the stance

They bring the humour

That no one wants

Um, yeah, thank you.

Oh.

Up next is Freya.

Sorry, she's so forgettable.

[laughter]

[cheers and applause]

- Thank you, thank you.

Firstly, I want to thank you
for having me at this event

that I totally wanted to be here for.

You know, Nikita is so
dumb that when Mandy said

her and her partner were poly,
Nikita said, oh, yo,

what island you guys from?

[laughter]

You know, being the only Middle
Eastern queen here is great.

Except whenever we talk about
Nikita bombing the acting

and comedy challenges,
somehow I'm the one

who gets strip searched?

[laughter]

Vybe is here, everyone.

- Yay.
- Yes.

Vybe is so ethnically ambiguous,
she somehow looks like

Jennifer Coolidge and Kim Jong-Un
all at once.

[laughter]

Now to the l*sbian
of the hour, Rhys Nicholson.

"Drag Race" judge in
"Down Under" since season 1.

So it comes to no
surprise that RuPaul did

not want to come back here.

[laughter]

Which reminds me,
Rhys is such a feminine white twink

that they could have replaced Max
at any point in this competition

and no one would have noticed.

- Oh, thank you.

- You know,
but this is all in good fun, Rhys.

You know we all adore you.

But I just want you
to remember tonight,

what doesn't k*ll you...

- disappoints me.

[laughter]

Up next, hide your
penises and unclench

those fists, because
she's going to dig deep.

It's Mandy Moobs!

- Yeah!

[applause]

- I've always been
partial to a little bit

of a spit roast myself,
so I'm really going to enjoy this.

I've decided to start off
with a few of the lesser-known

queens just to warm myself up.

Anita Wigl'it.

[laughter]

I joke, joke, joke.

Rhys, I haven't forgotten
about you, my darling.

From the shoulders up, you
remind me of a semi sun

dried tomato.

From the shoulders down,
you remind me of a twink

that just hasn't let go.

[laughter]

You're the type of g*y
if we go bear cruising,

like, I would bring
lube or show tunes.

And you would bring manuka honey.

[both chuckling]

Oh, I thought that was funny.

All right.

I can see the faces of the judges,

and they're just getting so lost.

You're such an
innocent soul that you

select blouse on a dating app.

Because tops and bottoms
just don't seem right.

- Aw.

- [chuckles]

- I just want this to be over.

Now, what I'm trying to say
is you're the femme energy

that this judging panel needs.

[laughter]

Now it's my honour to
welcome our next roaster.

They are the POC of the
year, the Person Of Colour.

No.

The Person Of Cholesterol.

It is Vybe!

[cheers and applause]

- Thank you so
much, Mandy Moobs.

I do find it funny that as
our seamstress extraordinaire,

you struggled to sew together both
the joke and the punch line.

[laughter]

Let's hear it for Nikita.

Up until we opened
the library on week five,

that was the first time in her life

that reading actually
has been fundamental.

[laughter]

Kita Mean, it's so exciting
to see you both here.

You and your underbite.

[laughter]

Now, I didn't think it was possible,

but we managed
to find the one person

that's been surrounded by semen
more than Michelle Visage.

- Who?

- It's Anita Nose Job...

sorry, sorry.

No, no, no.

It's Anita Husband.
Oh.

[laughter]

Sorry, it's Anita Wigl'it, everybody.

- There you go.

- Rhys, I actually
happened to see

you as the MC of "Down Under."

In this instance, though,
MC stands for Malnourished Child.

[laughter]

Rhys is so pale,
their foundation shade is A4.

[laughter]

Whenever Rhys pops up on screen,

I anxiously wait by the phone
for that "you're going to die

in seven days" phone call.

Now it is about time
that we round out this roast.

So I want to say a huge
thanks to you, Rhys.

Normally,
I would say good night,

but you represent my sleep
paralysis demon twink.

So instead, I'll say to you,
see you soon, slender them.

[laughter]

[cheers and applause]

Yay!

- [singing] Cause you're a star, baby

- Category is Cape Fierce.

Up first, Lazy Susan.

Blue velvet, if you please.

- Tonight on the runway,
I am giving you full glamorous,

beautiful Chesterfield sofa.

And as I turn, I reveal the
stunning cape behind me.

- You know what kind of cat that is?

- What kind?

- Persian.

- I'm giving you my full rug rat fantasy.

Now it seems like Tigre the Cat is

joining all the other b*tches
who are riding my coattails.

- The carpet cannot match the drapes.

- No.

- Up next, Nikita Iman.

You know what airline she prefers?

Virgin.

[laughter]

- On the runway tonight,
I am giving you bridal eleganza.

I wanted to give you train.

I wanted to give you
asymmetrical cut.

I wanted to give you pearls.

And I also wanted to give
an homage to my boyfriend.

This is a little reminder that
you need to put a ring on it.

Ding!

- If I had a pearl necklace
that big, I'd wear a bib, too.

- Up next, Freya Armani.

- Hombre pusse?

This look has a certain ring to it.

- Tonight on the runway, I'm giving

you post-apocalyptic sandstorm
sand warrior realness.

Let me get into this
Middle Eastern heritage

and show you guys what it's
like to survive in the dunes.

It may be the apocalypse, but she
will still be serving you fashion

at the end of the world, baby.

- Oh no, she better dune.

[laughter]

That was me on the weekend.

- Up next, Mandy Moobs.

- Pawn for her pleather.

- On the runway,
I am serving a little she devil look.

I have finally shed my skins,
and I'm showing you my true form.

A little horny b*tch.

It was about time that I
get to show off my big horns

and my gorgeous little legs.

I'm feeling powerful.

I'm feeling sexy in this cape.

It is absolutely stunning.

- The devil's in the details.

How the hell is she going
to love somebody else?

[laughs]

Up next, Vybe.

- Ooh, from the Bob Mackie
collection for SeaWorld.

- The category is capes.

And I came as a lionfish with a cape.

But this is honestly like a
quintessential Vybe outfit.

- It's that perfect blend of,
like, fantasy and showgirl.

And I'm honestly feeling
incredible and untouchable.

And I just feel f*cking 10 out of 10.

- I own 51% of this fish tank.

- Glitter lips, hairy t*ts.

- Kia ora, queens.

[together]
Kia ora.

- Aussie, Aussie, Aussie.

[together]
Oi, oi, oi.

- I just wanted to say my
top five dolls, I am so proud

of each and every one of you.

- Thank you.

- Again, this top five
is one of the strongest

I've seen in a long time.

And by far... sorry, Kit...

the strongest "Down Under."

- I'm not offended.

I didn't make it that far.

[laughter]

- Now it's time for the judges' critiques.

Up first, Lazy Susan.

- This outfit is so camp.

I love it.

The roast, it was absolute
hilarity to watch.

- The jokes were harsh,
but they weren't gratuitous.

"Tonight, you're going to be
read more than your book,"

that is a solid joke.

And it's true.

But it doesn't have to be.

[laughter]

- Let's talk about this outfit.

It's very Lazy Susan.

But it's also almost a glamorous turn.

- I decided to dress up pretty
for you tonight, Michelle.

- You sure did, darling.

And I enjoyed every moment of it,

because you don't really get
the comedy until you turn

around a la Carol Burnett.

Cats hanging on, pizza.

You've got all of it.

Which brings us to your comedy.

It was just really well done.

- Thank you.

- Up next, Nikita Iman.

- First of all,
congratulations for being

the last Kiwi in the lineup.

- Thank you.

It feels correct.

[laughter]

- The roast, um...

How do I put this?

[laughter]

- Roasts are hard.

A roast joke is kind of like
you say, the nasty thing,

and then through intense logic,
you make the joke out of it.

Often, we were kind of, like,
missing that second bit.

You were just like, old, fat, lispy, g*y.

All right, I'm off.

Bye.

[laughter]

- You hit some really funny things.

It just didn't quite get there.

- Yeah.

- So let's talk about this stunning look.

- I kind of wanted
to give, like, a little bit

of a bridal groom's wear.

Hopefully my partner gets the nod.

And puts a little ring on it.

- Up next, Freya Armani.

- Hey, y'all.

- Oh, Freya.

I love this.

- It's so cool.

You kind look like the
Virgin Mary in space.

I love it.

- [laughs]

- Not only smart to bring
some of your Lebanese to it,

but also the performative
nature of what you did.

- Thank you.

- It's young.

It's fresh.

It's Freya.

- I'm going to trademark that.
Hang on.

It's young, it's fresh, it's Freya.

Sorry.
- There you go.

- Thank you.

- Your Rhys roast,
I was so worried.

And then you came out here tonight,

and you blew us out of the water.

- Yeah.

- My one critique is that
you were in your cards a lot.

- Yeah.

- There were some really
good roasts in there, Freya.

- Thanks, Michelle.

- You stepped up to the challenge.

- [shrieks]
- Yeah.

Up next, Mandy Moobs.

- This outfit is so fabulous.

Drama, movement.

Stunning.

I love this high priestess look.

I would join this cult in a heartbeat.

- Let's talk about the roast.

- Oh god.

- I think that you
psyched yourself out, Mandy.

- Yeah, I did.

- For me, it was kind
of like trying to give

a drag queen a blow job.

You've got to get through a lot
of layers to get to the goods.

[laughter]

- Yeah, OK.

- There were jokes.

There were definitely jokes.

But there was quite,
like, a long build up.

- The note that I wrote
down was, too much math.

- You said you've
never seen a roast.

- I just don't enjoy them.

I'd rather just say it
straight to your face

in, like, the moment.

- It's done with love.

- Yes.

- You can always watch, like,
the roast of Joan Rivers,

the roast of Pamela Anderson.

So many brilliant
ones that you should watch online,

because they're
not what you think they are.

- Thank you.

- Thank you, Mandy.

Up next, Vybe.

- I love this outfit.

I feel like if I was, like,

and I saw you, I'd feel like I'm in
the presence of an angel.

It's beautiful.

- In the challenge,
being on last is hard.

You're at the risk of,
like, setting the tone

for our memory of the show.

And I got to say, I'm so glad
you did, because you smashed.

- You just got
in there and you dug deep.

- The jokes,
we didn't even have time

to process it because there was
another zinger straightaway.

- My one critique is if you
let it breathe a little bit,

you're going to hear more of a laugh.

- 100%.

- And then that outfit
has me written all over it.

- I thought it would.

- It's so good.

We knew that you'd deliver.

And you did.

- Thank you.

- Queens, I have one final
question for each of you.

- f*ck.

- Who should go home tonight and why?

- [groans]

- Let's start with Lazy Susan.

- I think Vybe should go home tonight.

- So if you were the judges,
you'd send Vybe home.

- Oh, Miss Lazy.

Honey.

- I would just love that nice
open way into the finale.

- I get it.

This is a hard top five.

However, when Michelle
Visage asks you a question,

you answer honestly.

- Nikita Iman.

- I would say Lazy.
- [laughs]

- She's got three wins,
and that's enough.

The question isn't, who do
you want to send home that's

your biggest competition?

It's who should go home next?

Answer the f*cking question.

- [chuckles]

- Freya Armani.

- Based on tonight's
critiques and track record,

I'm going to have to say Sister Nikita.

- Thank you for your honesty.

[tense music]

Mandy Moobs.

- Based off the whole
competition and the critiques

tonight, I will say Nikita.

- Vybe.

- I would also say Nikita.

- Thank you, queens.

I think we've heard enough.

While you untuck in the Werk Room,

the judges and I will deliberate.

You may leave the stage.

- Thank you.
- Thank you.

[laughter]

- Let's have a drink.

- I'm ready to plant my a*s.

- I need a nice wide space.

- Top five.

- I mean, coming back
into the Werk Room...

- Finally got asked the question
from Michelle.

- The infamous question.

- My name was said three times.

I mean, I'm not bothered.

But I don't agree with them.

- I just looked at everyone on stage

right now who has done
a lip-sync moment the most.

- Yeah.

- Compared to the girls,
I just have lip-synced more.

But my track record has strength in it.

Like, I've been in the top three times.

I mean, if I had time to
prepare for that question,

I would say Freya.

I think only based on the fact
that everyone here

has had a win except for you.

- I feel like I'm being
constantly underestimated

because I don't have a win.

But babies, I am here to fight.

And I feel like I've proved that
throughout this whole competition.

- Freya Amani is the dark horse.

She is someone who I
completely underestimated

coming into this competition
and has turned it out.

She's proven time
and time again that she's

more than just a pretty face.

But my biggest
competition is, of course,

my Sydney sister, Vybe.

Part of the sadistic nature
of selecting the order was

I wanted to, like, put us both
in hard f*cking positions

and fight our way out
of that paper bag.

And I think we both f*cking did.

And I'm so proud.

But b*tch,
I think you bested me.

And so I think this is your time.

- Yeah,
I'm f*cking ready for a solo win.

I needed this moment.

Most of my drag career,
I had an incredible amount

of strength in what I do in drag.

But none of the self-confidence
of me out of drag.

So I'm really proud of myself.

Literally music to my ears.

- Mandy, how are you feeling?

- f*cking awful.

This is not the fantasy I wanted.

I just haven't landed in the
bottom at all this competition.

And it's just the week before the final.

I did a lot worse
than what they expected.

- You had funny jokes.

They said it was just the timing.

- I know I'm f*cking incredible.

I just don't want to let people down.

- It's not over yet.

- I'm not giving up.

- Yeah.

- I have gotten so close to you,

and I absolutely adore
and look up to you.

But the angel's sending
the devil home tonight.

- Oh my god, true!

- That b*tch can take that
devil back to Brisbane.

[laughs]

- You're the one queen
that has kept me very humble.

It is going to be quite
upsetting to see you go.

- Hum-bull.
- Yeah.

[laughter]

- There is no way you
can have a grand finale

without Mandy Moobs.

- OK, girls.

Let's get ready.

- Now,
just between us platypussies,

what do you think?

Starting with Lazy Susan.

She knew exactly
what she wanted to say.

And it was funny.

- You know, it was interesting
that she put herself first.

Potentially, she may have
shot herself in the foot.

- By the time we got to the end,
we kind of forgot about Lazy.

But on the runway,
she's so about detail.

- Throughout this competition, I think
where Lazy Susan struggles is she's

not the best makeup artist.

And that kind of showed tonight.

But she is really trying.

So I thought her look
tonight was fantastic.

Nikita Iman.

- When she's fierce,
she's unstoppable.

But the moment she's a little bit shaky,

she can kind of fall apart.

We saw it in the snatch game,
we saw it in the acting challenge,

and we saw it tonight.

- She gets nervous,
and you can feel it.

- In the roast,
it's not necessarily

a skill in her toolbox.

But we are getting towards
the end of the competition.

- Tonight on this stage,
she looked dynamite.

But here we are at the top five,
and that roast was not great.

Freya Armani.

- Oh my gosh.

I was just so pleasantly surprised.

- She did some
old-school joke jokes,

but she made them her own.

And I was really proud of her.

I completely forgot she was
calling me some horrible names.

- [laughs]

You know, after she left
her mentoring session,

she turned it around.

- On the runway tonight,
I didn't recognise

her when she first came out.

- Right?

- And I loved that
connection to her culture.

That's what we love
to see on the runway.

- This is a

her mind into this whole look.

And I loved that.

Mandy Moobs.

- Her look tonight was stunning.

She thinks about every piece.

But when it comes to
performing sometimes,

I think she overthinks.

- My heart broke a bit for Mandy.

I know she's a bit of a softie.

- Yeah, she is, isn't she?

- She is.

But such a talented softie.

- Talented softie
is what I call my wang.

[laughter]

- I just kind of wanted to
give her a hug and tell her,

you know,
you're doing a good job.

But even though you're not into something,

you've still got to give it
your best shot.

- Something really
special about Mandy Moobs.

But tonight just was a tough night.

Vybe.

- You can just tell that
she does this for a living.

- Tonight,
she just hammered those jokes.

Like, perfectly.

- If you put somebody last, in a way,

you're hoping they'll fail
and you just did all the jokes

at the top of the show.

But in reality,
if they're strong enough,

they're going to close with a bang

and we're going to
remember them because they

were the last thing we saw.

- Mm-hmm.

- So Lazy Susan came out
and did what she does.

And then the runway, wow.

And then Vybe came out
and did what she does.

And then the runway, wow.

So these two,
it's really hard to determine

who's who, what's what tonight.

Because they are batting...

- equal?

Is that what batters do?
- Yeah.

- I don't know.

I've always been more of a catcher.

[laughter]

- The only batter I'm used to is on fish.

[laughter]

- Shut it!

Sounds like we made a decision.

Bring back our queens.

[dramatic music]

Welcome back, queens.

We've made some decisions.

[dramatic music]

Vybe, Lazy Susan,

tonight
the distance between the two of you

is as thin as Rhys's lips.

[laughter]

Vybe.

Condragulations,
you're the winner

of this week's challenge.

- Thank you so, so much.

It's what I've wanted
to hear for a while.

And especially after being
in the bottom the week before,

could not be happier.

- You've won custom
prosthetics from Body FX

to the value of $3,500.

- Oh!
I can finally look like Lazy Susan.

Ohh.

- And most importantly, you've
made it through to next week's

grand finale.

- Thank you so much.

- Lazy Susan,
Freya Armani, condragulations.

You are both safe,
and you've made it

through to the grand finale.

[cheers and applause]

- Thank you.

- The three of you may step
to the back of the stage.

- You got this.

[tense music]

- Nikita Iman, Mandy Moobs.

I'm sorry, my dears,
but you are both up for elimination.

- I haven't lip-synced once
during this competition,

so I'm going to give you
literally everything.

I am going to be in that grand finale,

and nothing's going to stop me.

- Two beautiful queens
stand before me.

Ladies, this is your last
chance to impress the judges

and save yourself from elimination.

- I've been here before.

I've sent two b*tches home.

I guess Mandy's the third.

Pump the beat,
because I'm going to serve it

and sell it and eat it.

- The time has come for you

to lip-sync for your life.

[tense music]

Good luck, and don't f*ck it up.

[upbeat music]

- [singing] Searching and
seeking, never sleeping

I got to find me a man

I'm looking for someone
to share my life

I better move on down the line

Searching

Looking for love all the time I can

Searching

Looking for love

I gotta find a man

Some guys excite me
but don't invite me

They don't even notice, it seems

But there's so many wanting
or needing the same

I gotta move on down the line

Searching

Looking for love
all the time I can

Searching

Looking for love

I gotta find me a man

I'm searching all the time I can

Hey, oh

I'm searching

Hey, oh

- Yeah!

- The moobs are out.

The moobs are out!

Incredible.

- [singing] Oh, yeah

Hey, oh

I gotta find a man

Searching

Oh yeah, I gotta find a man

I'm searching

Searching

Looking for love

I gotta find a man

- Whoo!

[cheers and applause]

- Wow!

Yes, queens!

- Queens,
we've made our decision.

[dramatic music]

Mandy Moobs, shantay, you stay.

[applause]

Condragulations, you've made
it through to next week's

grand finale.

- Thank you.

- You may join the other girls.

My gorgeous Nikita Iman.

Category is sickening!

Now let them have it, honey.

You may sashay away.

- This experience
has been something

that I've always looked up to.

And I can leave blessed,
grateful, overwhelmed,

and just full of joy
to have a sisterhood that I

wasn't looking for nor wanted.

But now I have.

[laughter]

Thank you so much.

Thank you so much.
Thank you so much.

[applause]

Well, see ya, losers.

[laughter]

Ugh, oh, my god.

I didn't see this for myself.

Obviously, it's disappointing.

I came to be in the finale.

But I'm so proud of what I've done.

I think I absolutely k*lled it
this season.

Almost to the end.

[laughs]
I just had such a good time.

And I'm leaving proud of myself.

If you want me to cry,
I can cry on command.

- Can you?
- No.

[laughter]

Period.

And that's the thing.
I should go home, Freya.

[laughs]

Nikita out.

[upbeat music]

- My fierce final four.

Now to our fans,
I want to hear from you.

Tell us who you think
should be "Down Under's"

next Drag Race Superstar.

Are you Team Freya Armani?

Team Lazy Susan?

Team Mandy Moobs?

Or Team Vybe?

Let your voice be heard
using #DragRaceDownUnder.

And tune in next week
when we are going to crown

ourselves a winner, baby.

- Whoo!

[cheers and applause]

- Remember,
stop relying on that body

and let your
inner light shine through.

Can I get a honk, honk?

[together]
Honk, honk!

- Let the music play.

- [singing] A little bit of love

Goes a long, long way

Lifting you up to a brighter day

Can you feel the love

- Next time on
"Drag Race Down Under"...

- My final four,
you'll be strutting your stuff

to the original song.

The biggest.

- What?
- Actor.

I'm a dancer.
- Yeah.

Better, better.

I'm going to make these girls work.

[creaking]

- [sighs]

- You're a superstar.

- It's just been really
f*cking entertaining.

- The time has come
to crown our queen.

"Down Under's" next
Drag Race Superstar is...
