MG: Ahem.

Mia: M-Mr. Grossberg!

Mia: Good morning!

Sign: Defense Lawyer — Marvin Grossberg

MG: Ah, Mia. Please calm yourself down.

MG: You're going to get yourself arrested for suspicious behavior.

Sign: Defense Lawyer — Mia Fey

Mia: Wh-What are you talking about?

Mia: Look at me! I'm perfectly calm!

Mia: U-Uh, I'm so sorry.

MG: Your temperament leaves a lot to be desired, my dear.

MG: Anyway, this is your first time in the big leagues, isn't it?

MG: Never you fear! I, Marvin Grossberg, am at your service!

Mia: Um, this is actually my second time in court.

MG: Still, you surprised me.

MG: When you came up to me last night and insisted on handling this case.

Mia: I only found out about the case yesterday.

Mia: The defendant's name is Phoenix Wright.

Autopsy_Report__,Sign: Autopsy Report Cause of Death: Electrocution

Mia: He's accused of m*rder,

Mia: and the victim's cause of death was... electrocution?

MG: There he is. That young man is our client.

MG: You must do everything in your power to help him.

PW: Good morning!

PW: I'll give it all I've got today!

PW: It'll be fine! No prob!

Mia: P-Pleased to be workingwith you, er... Mr. Wry.

PW: Likewise!

Sign: Defendant — Phoenix Wright

PW: Oh, but my name is Wright, like the flying brothers...

Mia: You have nothing to fear, Mr. Wright! I promise I will save you!

Mia: I-I'm sorry!

PW: Hey, I didn't k*ll anyone, okay?!

Mia: That's right. He's the one who should really be nervous.

Mia: Stay strong for your client, Mia!

Mia: A year ago, in my first trial,

Mia: I was traumatized so badly, I thought I'd never set foot in a courtroom again.

Mia: But what do you know? Here I am again.

Mia: This time, for sure...

Mia: I will win!

Sign: April , : AMDistrict Courthouse — Courtroom No.

J: Court is now in session for the trial of Phoenix Wright.

Mia: The defense is ready, Your Honor.

WP: The prosecution is ready, Your Honor.

J: The defense today is... Mia Fey, was it?

Mia: Y-Yes, Your Honor. Is there a problem?

J: I was under the impression that Mr. Grossberg was to be leading the defense.

Mia: Well, you see, Mr. Grossberg had something urgent to do.

J: Something urgent?

J: But isn't that him spacing out next to you?

Mia: Yes, well...

MG: W-Watching this trial was what I had to do.

Mia: Y-Yeah, yeah!

J: Hmm...

J: Well, Mr. Payne. Your opening statement, please.

WP: Sheesh. I can't believe a veteran like me has to babysit a new defense lawyer.

WP: Now then, I'd like to proceed with a summary of the events in question.

Ivy_University,Sign: Ivy University

WP: The incident occurred on a rainy afternoon at the Ivy University campus.

WP: The m*rder victim was Doug Swallow.

Nonda_Kikuzo,Sign: Doug Swallow

WP: He was a fourth-year studying Pharmacology.

J: Pharmacology?

WP: Other students came upon the crime scene and called the police.

WP: They found the victim's body and the defendant, who had bungled his getaway.

WP: It was Phoenix Wright,

Nonda_Kikuzo,Sign: Phoenix Wright

WP: a third-year Arts student also at Ivy University.

WP: There was some bad blood between him and the victim.

J: Bad blood?

PW: No way! It wasn't a big deal!

J: The defendant will cease coughing into the discussion.

WP: There was bad blood between the victim and the defendant.

WP: Isn't that right, young lady?

WP: What do you say?

WP: If you call yourself a defense attorney, surely you must know all about the cause.

Mia: He's testing me, huh?

Mia: Fine! Take him on, Mia!

Mia: The cause for the bad blood...

Mia: Are you talking about Dahlia Hawthorne?

Miyanagi_Chinami,Sign: Dahlia Hawthorne

J: Dahlia Hawthorne?

Miyanagi_Chinami,Sign: Dahlia Hawthorne

WP: Correct.

Nonda_Kikuzo,Sign: Dahlia Hawthorne

WP: She is currently the girlfriend of the defendant.

Nonda_Kikuzo,Sign: Phoenix Wright

WP: But up until half a year ago, she was with the victim.

Nonda_Kikuzo,Sign: Doug Swallow

WP: Bad blood over her was the motive behind this m*rder.

J: Ah, so it was a love triangle?

PW: S-Say what?!

PW: Leave my Dollie out of this!

PW: Hey, you listening to me?!

WP: Your Honor, please take another look at the victim in the crime scene photo.

PW: Hey! Are you?!

J: Is that a bottle of medicine?

WP: Yes.

Coldkiller,Sign: Coldkiller

WP: It's Coldkiller Z. Apparently, it "kills colds good."

PW: Hey, that's mine!

PW: I'd been taking it for a few days, but I lost my bottle somewhere that day.

PW: I'm sure I had it with me until lunchtime.

J: Quiet, defendant!

PW: I'm sorry.

Mia: What are you, a child?

WP: He's right.

WP: The defendant's fingerprints are all over the bottle.

WP: Moments before his death, the victim used the last of his strength to grab it.

WP: Yes... All to identify his k*ller as Phoenix Wright!

MG: Why, I can hardly see!

WP: By the way, the victim's watch in the photo was broken.

J: Broken?

WP: It likely ceased functioning from the impact of the death blow.

Mia: Does that mean the m*rder occurred at : PM?

J: Let's proceed to the defendant's cross-examination.

J: State your name and occupation.

PW: Sure! My name is Phoenix Wright!

PW: My occupation is, uh... being accused of m*rder!

Mia: Your occupation before you were arrested!

PW: Oh, c-college student!

J: Testify to the court about the events of that day.

Sign: Witness Testimony

PW: That day, he told me to meet him behind the Pharmacology Department at : PM.

: We talked for a bit and parted at around : PM.

Mia: Had you ever met the victim before?

PW: No, never. That was the first time.

PW: He said he wanted to talk to me about Dollie.

WP: Dahlia Hawthorne, you mean?

PW: She's my soulmate!

PW: She knitted this sweater for me and even gave me this pendant as a present!

PW: We had lunch together on that day, too!

PW: I wish you all could taste her magical omelets!

WP: You and the victim talked for a bit and parted?

WP: Was that really all?

PW: Wh-Wh-What do you mean?

WP: Did you shove the victim or something, perhaps?

PW: I-I would never! I didn't lay a finger on that guy!

Sign: Objection!

WP: Objection!

WP: Your Honor, please take another look at the crime scene photo.

WP: The victim was wearing a leather jacket.

WP: We found the defendant's palm print on its chest area.

WP: Quite clearly, in fact!

WP: Mr. Wright, your testimony is riddled with lies!

Mia: Is he right, Mr. Wright?!

PW: I'm sorry! I did shove him back then!

J: Order! Order in the court!

Mia: No... I had no idea.

MG: Stick a fork in us. We're done, Mia.

Mia: No way. I can't let it end like this.

WP: I can only think of one way the defendant could have left a print like that.

WP: He shoved him with murderous intent!

J: Yes, that makes sense.

Sign: Objection!

Mia: Objection!

PW: Miss Fey?

Mia: Even if he did shove him,

Mia: you can't call it a m*rder if it didn't k*ll the victim!

WP: What do you mean?

Mia: According to the autopsy report,

Mia: the victim's cause of death was electrocution.

Autopsy_Report__,Sign: Autopsy ReportCause of Death: Electrocution

J: Electrocution?

Mia: And it was raining cats and dogs there that day.

Mia: We should consider a lightning strike to be the likely cause of the victim's death!

J: L-Lightning?

Mia: There's a possibility the victim's death was an unfortunate accident!

MG: O-Oh, yes!

WP: I can't have you looking down on me, young lady.

WP: The prosecution isn't that foolish.

WP: I obviously looked up the meteorological report.

WP: On the day of the m*rder, there were no lightning strikes in the area.

Mia: Wh-What?!

WP: The real cause of the victim's death can be seen clearly in the crime scene photo.

Mia: I-Is that... A severed electric cable?

WP: Precisely.

WP: Phoenix Wright shoved the victim toward that very cable.

WP: And the resulting electrical shock k*lled the victim!

Mia: So it was all a trap?

J: The cause, motive, and m*rder method all seem to add up.

Mia: But we don't know that there was murderous intent!

Mia: Maybe he had no idea about the cable!

WP: What's this? Resorting to pointless nitpicking, are we?

WP: Very well. You don't know when to give up,so let me finish you off for good.

Mia: F-Finish me off?

WP: The prosecution has a witness whose testimony will be incontrovertible.

J: And who would that be?

WP: This witness was at the scene of the crime and saw the m*rder happen!

J: What?

WP: You're all familiar with her already.

WP: It's Ms. Dahlia Hawthorne!

PW: Dollie came for me? Hooray!

J: Order!

J: Bring the witness to the stand.

PW: Dollie!

MG: Sheesh. This witness is bad news.

Mia: "Bad news"?

Mia: Hardly. This is what I've been waiting for.

Mia: The time has finally come,

Mia: Dahlia Hawthorne!

WP: State your name and occupation, witness.

DH: Um... Who, me?

J: Don't worry, sweetie. There's no need to be nervous.

WP: Yes. If anyone says anything rude, I'll cut them right down to size!

J: And I will bash them with my gavel!

Mia: I love how they looked straight at me when they said that.

DH: I'm glad you're all so nice.

WP: Not at all!

J: It was nothing!

Mia: If we may move on now... What is your name and occupation?

DH: You haven't changed a bit,

DH: Mia Fey.

WP: What's this? You two are acquainted?

Mia: We've met before... once.

DH: My name is Dahlia Hawthorne.

Sign: Witness — Dahlia Hawthorne

DH: I'm a third-year in Literature at Ivy University.

DH: It's an honor for me to be here in your noble presence.

WP: The honor is all mine!

J: No, the honor is all mine.

MG: She instantly got the old boys wrapped around her little finger.

Sign: Witness Testimony

DH: I went to go meet Feenie after class that day.

J: Feenie?

J: Oh, you mean the defendant?

DH: Yes.

DH: Then I found Feenie and Dougie talking behind the building.

DH: I couldn't hear them,

DH: but Dougie got angry and powed Feenie.

J: What? The victim powed him?

DH: Yes! Feenie didn't do anything wrong!

DH: After being powed, he had to shove him off.

DH: Dougie slammed into the utility pole, snapping the electric cable.

DH: Dougie got back up and tried to skedaddle,

DH: but Feenie followed and barged into him from the back.

DH: As Dougie collapsed, I heard a loud crack.

DH: It made my heart go pitter patter!

J: Yes, yes, pitter-patter.

WP: A loud crack?

WP: It must've been the victim being electrocuted.

DH: It all happened mere moments after the cable snapped.

WP: That testimony makes it clear how exactly the m*rder happened.

WP: And the prosecution has procured further testimony to support it.

J: Oh? From whom?

WP: From the students conducting experiments in the lab on the day.

WP: They testified like so:

WP: "All equipment in the labs lost power all of a sudden at around PM that day."

J: Was it a blackout?

WP: Yes. There are logs of a blackout at : PM.

WP: All of the labs' equipment require high voltage,

WP: which was all being supplied by the electric cable that was severed.

WP: The defendant met the victim at : PM

WP: and heartlessly shoved him to his death ten minutes later.

WP: That is the whole truth behind this case!

J: Yes, there seems to be no room for doubt.

J: Thank you for your very helpful testimony.

DH: I couldn't very well lie to the court, could I?

Sign: Objection!

Mia: Objection!

Mia: Sorry, but that's not going to fly.

Mia: There is a clear contradiction in this witness's statements!

WP: What? A contradiction?

Mia: The electric cable was severed at : PM.

Mia: This must be when my client shoved the victim.

Mia: But look at this.

Mia: It was : PM when the victim's wristwatch ceased functioning.

Mia: Why is there a ten-minute gap here?

Mia: You testified for the whole court to hear

Mia: that it all happened within mere moments of the cable snapping.

Mia: In that case,

Mia: how do you explain this ten-minute gap?!

Mia: Ms. Hawthorne.

Mia: Why do you keep spouting lie after lie?

Mia: It's almost like you're trying to frame your boyfriend.

PW: F-Frame me?

Mia: Suspicious incidents always take place around you.

Mia: It was the same eight months ago.

J: Hmm? Eight months ago?

Mia: Eight months ago, a certain tragedy took place in this very courthouse.

m*rder_in_the_Co,Sign: m*rder in the Courthouse

Mia: It was this.

WP: Wh-What?

J: Y-Yes, I remember it very well.

Mia: Ms. Hawthorne, you were on the scene when it happened, weren't you?

Mia: That's not all.

Mia: According to the investigation report, the prime suspect back then...

Mia: was you!

WP: S-Say what?

PW: D-Dollie? The prime suspect?

Mia: The incident eight months ago is linked to this very case!

WP: Wh-What?!

J: What do you mean?

Mia: Eight months ago, a defense lawyer summoned a witness for questioning.

Mia: It was you, Dahlia Hawthorne.

Mia: This courthouse has a cafeteria.

Sign: Eight Months AgoDistrict Court — Cafeteria

Mia: That's where it happened.

Mia: Someone laced the lawyer's coffee with poison.

Mia: And she was the one who came up as the prime suspect.

PW: Dollie...? I-It can't be.

Mia: Your Honor!

Mia: The defense demands that Ms. Hawthorne testify about that incident.

WP: Objection!

WP: Th-That's absurd! I won't stand for it!

DH: Uh...

WP: That has absolutely nothing to do with this case—

DH: Mister Prosecutor?

DH: I believe I was speaking.

WP: Urk. Pardon me.

WP: G-Go right ahead.

DH: It's true that the police cast a suspicious eyeball at me eight months ago.

J: Hmm... A suspicious eyeball?

DH: That is why I want to make clear, once and for all,

DH: that I did not commit that crime!

WP: B-But there's no need for you to—

J: The purpose of this trial is to solve the m*rder case.

J: If the witness wishes to testify to that end...

J: Very well. I shall allow it.

Mia: Thank you, Your Honor.

PW: Dollie...

Mia: Okay, I've tied the two crimes together!

Mia: Stay on the offensive, Mia!

MG: I finally understand why you insisted on handling this case, my dear.

Mia: Mr. Grossberg...

MG: Ah, you've really lit a fire in my heart!

MG: Go get her, Mia!

Mia: I will.

Mia: This is where it gets real.

Mia: Watch me, Senpai!

J: Then, witness, testify to the court about what happened eight months ago.

DH: I met the lawyer to discuss something in the cafeteria that day.

DH: I left my seat for just a moment, and that's when it happened.

DH: I came back to find the lawyer lying recumbent on the ground!

Mia: You left your seat "for just a moment"?

Mia: How long were you gone, exactly?

DH: Maybe ten or twenty minutes, I think.

Mia: And where were you during that time?

DH: W-Well...

WP: Every lady has trifling secrets she cannot reveal.

WP: The police already looked into it back then,

WP: so this line of questioning is a waste of time!

J: True.

DH: According to the constabulary, they found traces of a lethal poison in the coffee.

DH: I heard it was a very special kind of poison.

J: Special? How so?

DH: Yes. They said something about using advanced chemical processes to purify it.

WP: The young lady is far removed from such things.

DH: Yes.

DH: Also, I was frisked immediately after it happened.

PW: Th-They frisked Dollie?! H-How dare they!

DH: Of course, they didn't find any poison on me.

DH: So... I'm innocent!

PW: Yeah, yeah! Dollie's the most innocent girl in the world!

Mia: Lethal poison, huh? How much was the dose?

DH: I-I couldn't say. I do not know.

J: Oh, from what investigators told me back then,

J: it was a dosage of liquid poison that could fit in a small eye-dropper bottle.

Mia: A small eye-dropper bottle?

J: After the incident, the entire courthouse was turned upside down.

J: But they didn't find a container like that anywhere.

WP: A-Anywhere?

Mia: By the way,

Mia: what did you discuss with that lawyer that day?

DH: An incident I was caught up in when I was little.

DH: That lawyer said he wanted to ask about it.

Mia: Why don't you tell us what that incident was?

WP: Objection!

WP: That has absolutely nothing at all to do with this trial!

J: Objection sustained. The defense's question is stricken from the record.

Mia: Either way,

Mia: you get involved in a lot of "incidents," don't you?

Mia: When you were little, eight months ago,

Mia: and now, this.

J: The courthouse incident happened on August th of last year?

J: You sure have had some awful luck.

DH: I guess I was just born under a bad sign.

J: Wh-Wh-What is it?

PW: August th was the day of destiny!

Mia: Day of destiny?

PW: Don't be shocked! It was the day Dollie and I first met in this courthouse!

PW: You remember it too, right, Dollie?! It was in the basement reading room.

DH: Feenie, let's stop talking about that.

Mia: You met Ms. Hawthorne there?

PW: Yeah! I was studying in the reading room when my soulmate descended upon me!

PW: The moment we laid eyes on each other, love was in the air!

PW: I now believe in love at first sight!

PW: Get a load of this! She gave me this pendant back then!

PW: It's a symbol of our love!

PW: She said, "I want you to take it,"

PW: shyly took it off her neck, and gave it to me!

Mia: So this is a present she gave you that day?

PW: Yes! It made me so happy, I go around showing it to everyone I meet!

PW: I want to share my happiness with everyone!

DH: Feenie, didn't I ask you to stop?

PW: But she's so shy!

PW: Every time I see her, she always asks for it back!

Mia: Give it back?

Mia: But it was a present, right?

MG: What a strange girl.

PW: Come to think of it, even on the day of this m*rder,

PW: she asked for it back during lunch. She's such a cutie pie!

DH: Feenie!

J: Defendant! That's enough out of you!

PW: No...

Mia: Eight months ago, the lawyer collapsed after Dahlia Hawthorne left her seat.

Mia: That's when Mr. Wright met her and got that pendant as a present.

Mia: That makes it clear.

J: Makes what clear?

Mia: The truth behind the incident in the courthouse.

Mia: The one who poisoned that coffee...

Mia: was you, Dahlia Hawthorne.

DH: Did you forget?

DH: I was frisked.

DH: But they didn't find any poison on me.

WP: Besides, the poison's container wasn't found anywhere in the courthouse!

Mia: You hid the container...

Mia: Somewhere it would never be found.

WP: Where it wouldn't be found?

WP: N-No such place exists!

J: Where did she hide it?

Mia: This is the turning point.

Mia: There's no going back, Mia.

Mia: That day, after poisoning the coffee,

Mia: you left your seat to get rid of the container.

Mia: And then, you met your "soulmate"...

Mia: in the basement reading room.

PW: Huh? M-Me?

Mia: Right then, she found the most secure hiding place of all.

Mia: She gave the container to someone completely unrelated, who wouldn't be searched.

Mia: Yes, it was you...

Mia: Mr. Wright.

J: D-D-Don't tell me!

WP: Inside that pendant...

Mia: There's a chance it contains the very same lethal poison.

Mia: There's still some liquid remaining in that bottle.

Mia: It should be analyzed at once!

J: O-Order! Order in the court!

J: Wh-What in the world...

Sign: Objection!

PW: Objection!

PW: On behalf of Dollie, I object!

Mia: M-Mr. Wright?

J: H-Hey, defendant! Get back!

PW: She would never do something like that!

Mia: What makes you so sure?

PW: I mean... Yeah!

PW: It was a very special poison, right?

WP: R-Right!

WP: Advanced chemical processes were used to purify it!

PW: There's no way Dollie could have something like that!

Mia: Actually, she had a way to get her hands on it.

Mia: Remember.

Mia: The victim, Doug Swallows, was a Pharmacology student.

Mia: She could go to his lab and obtain all kinds of dangerous chemicals and poisons.

Mia: Mr. Wright, hand over that pendant.

Mia: If we analyze it, we can prove your innocence.

Mia: Mr. Wright?

PW: That... It...

PW: It can't be!

WP: Eek! The defendant!

J: Bailiffs! After him!

MG: That boy! He's gone completely insane!

Mia: Mr. Wright...

WP: I have never even heard of such foolish behavior!

WP: Who tries to flee the courtroom?!

PW: I-I'm sorry...

WP: If apologies could fix everything, all of us here would be out of a job!

Mia: Forget it. Anyway...

Mia: Hand over the pendant.

Mia: Where's the pendant?

PW: I'm sorry!

Mia: Mr. Wright?

PW: I-I ate it.

Mia: H-He what?!

PW: I-It was too big to swallow, so I had to chew it to little bits.

Mia: Mr. Wright! Are you feeling okay?!

Mia: You just swallowed a bottle of poison!

DH: Too bad Feenie didn't die, huh,

DH: Auntie?

DH: But this proves that there was no poison in there.

Mia: There was hardly any left inside that bottle!

Mia: Besides...

Mia: It's been eight months! Maybe it lost its potency!

DH: "Maybe"?

DH: I'm amazed you can talk down to me without any proof. Must come with your age.

DH: Isn't that right, Uncle?

WP: Huh?

WP: Uh... Yes, indeed!

WP: Exactly. The victim is dead.

WP: The pendant is inside the defendant's belly.

WP: You don't have any decisive evidence!

WP: Or do you, defense?

WP: Trusting your client is a most noble thing for a defense attorney to do.

WP: And it's heartwarming to see how much faith you've placed in him.

WP: But the prosecution is no different!

WP: I would trust Ms. Dahlia Hawthorne with my very life!

WP: Which is why I can state that your deduction was comprehensively mistaken.

DH: Goodness me. What a waste of time.

DH: Remind me, who was it that annoyingly dragged an unrelated case into this?

DH: We're here for Dougie's m*rder, aren't we?

DH: Aren't we, Auntie?

PW: D-Dollie?

Mia: I'm so close!

Mia: I have her on the ropes, and she's going to get away with everything?

WP: It seems this is as far as you go.

Mia: Wright!

Mia: Please tell the truth!

Mia: Not what she told you to say!

Mia: Testify what you saw and heard, and leave nothing out!

PW: M-Ms. Fey?

Mia: It has to be you!

Mia: We can't uncover the truth without your help!

PW: M-My help?

J: Well, now that the suspicion surrounding Ms. Hawthorne has been cleared up,

J: the questioning about the case eight months ago ends—

PW: Hold it!

PW: I-I'm sorry, Mia.

PW: You really believed in me, and I feel like I let you down.

: Wright...

PW: There's something I hid from the court.

J: What?

DH: Feenie, don't.

PW: Sorry, Dollie.

PW: But I really can't hide it anymore.

DH: Feenie!

Mia: Quiet, witness!

Mia: He's testifying.

PW: The day of the m*rder...

PW: The day I met him, Doug Swallow...

Ivy_University,Sign: Ivy University

DS: That girl... You shouldn't see her anymore.

PW: Hey! It's none of your business!

DS: I'm telling you for your sake. She's bad news.

PW: Y-You're lying!

DS: Listen. There's something you need to know about that girl...

DS: Last night, she stole some poison from our lab!

PW: P-Poison?

DS: The same thing happened eight months ago. A drug sample was stolen.

DS: She came to the lab that time, too.

DS: It could only have been her!

PW: Stop it! Don't talk about her like that!

WP: I-Impossible!

Mia: Did he really say that?

DH: Knock it off!

DH: That's a complete lie!

PW: After I pushed him, I left the scene.

PW: But I got worried and came back later,

PW: and Dollie was right there.

PW: But she told me not to tell anyone about it.

PW: I'm sorry!

Mia: I knew it.

Mia: She did steal poison eight months ago.

Mia: And she did it again.

Mia: Put that together with Wright's testimony,

Mia: and there's only one conclusion!

Mia: The night before Doug Swallow was m*rder*d,Dahlia Hawthorne stole some poison.

Mia: Naturally, her motive...

Mia: was to k*ll someone with it.

J: P-Poison someone to death?

WP: D-Don't be silly!

WP: Doug Swallow died of electrocution!

Mia: He wasn't her target.

WP: Wh-What?!

Mia: There was something you simply had to get back,

Mia: even if it meant k*lling someone.

PW: Wait, you mean...

Mia: Precisely.

Mia: The one Dahlia Hawthorne tried to poison

Mia: was you, Wright!

PW: D-D-Dollie...

PW: tried to k*ll me?

WP: Objection!

WP: Of all the silly ideas!

WP: The defendant is her boyfriend!

DH: Y-Yes! Why would I k*ll Feenie?

DH: Why would you say something so awful?

Mia: Eight months ago, after you laced that coffee with poison,

Mia: there was only one thing on your mind:

Mia: getting rid of the pendant with the poison bottle as soon as possible.

Mia: And she made the right move.

Mia: The evidence never saw the light of day.

Mia: But there was just one big problem.

Mia: He refused to return it to her.

Mia: Wright, have you ever wondered

Mia: why she's been dating you these past eight months?

: W-Well...

Mia: What she was after

Mia: was the pendant.

Mia: She got close to you to retrieve that crucial piece of evidence.

Mia: But you saw it as a cherished treasure, and even showed it to everyone you met.

J: Y-You mean... That's why she tried to...

Mia: ...m*rder him and take it back, yes.

PW: It can't be.

PW: It's not true, right, Dollie?

DH: Get out of the way already, Feenie.

DH: How can any woman ever count on you for anything?

DH: I told you time and again to keep your trap shut about me.

DH: You piece of trash!

J: W-Witness?

DH: I can tell you plan on making me a m*rder*r no matter what I say.

Mia: You are a m*rder*r, Dahlia Hawthorne.

DH: We'll see about that.

DH: Where's your evidence?

DH: Your sniveling little crybaby of a client has eaten the bottle as a snack.

DH: With absolutely no proof, you treat an upstanding witness as a homicidal maniac?

DH: This is a complete waste of time.

DH: I'll be leaving now, if you don't mind.

J: B-But we're not finished...

DH: I trust you'll discipline this nasty old hag appropriately.

Mia: Hold it!

DH: What? Did you find your decisive evidence?

Mia: I can't let you get away like this!

MG: Stop! If you keep pushing, you could pay the ultimate price!

Mia: The ultimate price?

J: You'd be forced to take off your attorney's badge forever, I'm afraid.

Mia: N-No!

DH: So he says! What'll it be, Miss Old and Gray?

Mia: If I mess up here, my career as a lawyer is over.

Mia: But if it means letting her get away with m*rder...

Mia: I'd much rather throw my badge in the trash!

J: Very well. I order the defense to present its evidence.

Mia: I understand.

DH: Stupid woman.

Mia: The key is the poison she stole.

Mia: It's do or die time, Mia!

DH: I'll take great pleasure in watching youcrash and burn in pathetic fashion!

PW: Dollie... Mia...

Mia: The evidence that will prove DahliaHawthorne's guilt once and for all...

Mia: is this!

Mia: Coldkiller Z, the cold medicine the victim was holding.

WP: That's your proof?

WP: Does our rookie defense attorney have a bit of a cold?

Mia: No.

Mia: But even if I did, I still wouldn't take this medicine.

Mia: After all, it's been poisoned.

WP: Wh-What?

Mia: Remember what the defendant said earlier.

Mia: I'd been taking it for a few days, but I lost my bottle somewhere that day.

Mia: I'm sure I had it with me until lunchtime.

Mia: That's when she stole the bottle of Coldkiller Z...

Mia: To lace it with poison and have him take it.

WP: O-Of all the ridiculous... It was the victim who was holding the bottle!

Mia: Remember the crime that happened eight months ago.

Mia: Where did she hide the evidence?

J: What are you talking about?

Mia: Back then, the poison was in her pendant.

Mia: And she passed it off to someone else.

Mia: To Phoenix Wright, the boy she ran into in the reading room.

Mia: She did the same thing this time as well.

Mia: That day, Phoenix Wright left the scene after shoving the victim.

Mia: She saw and heard everything, including what they were arguing about,

Mia: and the cut electric cable.

Mia: After realizing she couldn't allow Doug Swallow to live,

Mia: she used the severed cable to silence him forever.

J: Th-Then what about her witness testimony about the m*rder?

Mia: It was all a lie, of course.

WP: H-How can this be?

Mia: Frail as she is, it took a while for her to move Swallow's body.

Mia: Hence the ten-minute gap betweenthe cable getting cut and his electrocution.

Mia: Unfortunately for her, this is when a problem arose.

Mia: The defendant, who she thought had left the scene, came back.

Mia: On top of that, because of the power outage, some students showed up as well,

Mia: making her panic.

Mia: Because...

Mia: She was carrying a bottle of poisoned cold medicine.

Mia: What if the police frisked her?

Mia: It was the exact same situation as eight months ago.

Mia: And she disposed of the poison the same way she did back then.

Mia: She passed it off to someone else...

Mia: By placing it in the victim's hand!

DH: Th-These are merely the delusions of a stupid woman.

DH: Right, Uncle?

WP: Huh? Y-Yes... It's just pure desperation.

Sign: Objection!

Mia: Objection!

Mia: "Pure desperation"?

Mia: On whose part, exactly?

Mia: Then, Ms. Hawthorne,

Mia: could you take this cold medicine?

Mia: Wright ate that pendant of yours.

Mia: Would you like to try your luck, too?

Mia: If you're lucky, you might survive.

Mia: If you claim you are innocent, then prove it right here and now!

Mia: Take this medicine!

DH: Mia... Fey...

DH: Mia!

DH: Fey!

DH: Do. You. Think. You've. Won?

DH: That's just fine, Auntie.

DH: For the time being...

DH: For the time being, victory is yours.

DH: This won't be the last you see of me.

DH: You and I will meet again.

DH: I'm certain of it.

DH: I'm going to spend a little quality time with the men in blue now.

DH: I wish you all the best.

Mia: It's finally all over.

WP: I refuse to accept this!

WP: You don't have any proof!

Mia: Then let me ask you, Mr. Payne.

Mia: Would you care to try this medicine?

Mia: If she's innocent, there couldn't possibly be any poison in here, right?

WP: W-Well, um... You see...

Mia: I could've sworn you said you could trust Dahlia Hawthorne with your very life.

Mia: Well, "Rookie k*ller"?Show this rookie how it's done.

Mia: How much did you really trust that woman?

Mia: And just how much is that life you were willing to risk really worth?!

WP: It... It's flying off! My beautiful hair!

WP: It's flying off!

J: Defense, do you have something against Ms. Hawthorne?

Mia: Your Honor, that had nothing to do with this case.

J: Very well.

J: I shall hereby hand down the verdict for Phoenix Wright!

MG: About what it really means to have a relationship of trust with the client.

Mia: Congratulations, Wright.

PW: Um, you know, I was thinking...

Mia: Go on.

PW: Was that the real Dollie in there?

PW: The Dollie I know would never say all those terrible things.

Mia: You need to forget about her.

PW: Yeah, you're right.

PW: Say, Mia,

PW: a lawyer is someone who can help people in trouble, right?

Mia: That's what I believe.

PW: I'm actually studying to become a lawyer.

PW: There's a friend I desperately want to help.

PW: If I hurry, I should be able to save him in time!

Mia: Really?

PW: I'll study my butt off! I'll become a lawyer for sure!

PW: So let's meet again in court someday, Mia!

Mia: Sure!

Mia: I finally settled the score.
