07x25 - Gold Rush: The Story So Far (King of the Klondike)

Post by bunniefuu »

Buried in the dirt,

Lies millions of dollars
Worth of gold.

This is the story of three men.

Who risked everything
To get it...

I've never seen that much gold
In the pan.

Entrepreneur todd hoffman...

I want to see a miracle
On this mountain.

King of the klondike,
Tony beets...

And gold-mining prodigy
Parker schnabel.

I can turn this 100 ounces
Into a lot more.

Together, they've made
And lost fortunes.

Everything I made last year,
I lost right down there.

Narrator
They've fought the elements...

Narrator And each other...

Todd That kid is arrogant.

I'm going to take him
Down this year.

Come on. Let's dance.

Narrator Till one of them
Couldn't take it anymore.

I feel like such a fool
Right now.

Parker At the end of the day,
there's One number that matters...

Total ounces.

Narrator
In 2009, america was plunged.

Into its worst recession
In 75 years.

Desperate for cash,
Men and women headed north.

In a modern-day gold rush.

Most would fail.

But some would make millions.

Todd I'm going to take
This team of guys,

And I'm going to kick this thing
Right in the face.

We're going to go get
Some frickin' gold.

Narrator
Todd hoffman and his father.

Sold their airfield business
In oregon,

Gathered a crew
Of unemployed friends,

And leased a claim in alaska.

This is the opportunity that
We've all been talking about.

You're all millionaires.
The only thing is,

You've got to get it
Out of the ground, you know?

That's the key.

John Hey, parker!
Come on out here.

Take a look at this.

Narrator Todd wasn't the only one
Dreaming of making his fortune.

Parker Got some neighbors?

On the claim next door,

Had been trained to find gold
By his grandfather,

Mining legend john schnabel.

Parker believed his talent
For finding gold.

Would make him rich.

If you want to retire at 25,

You probably need
A few million bucks.

Maybe $2 million. Well...

If you were smart.

Turn the jig on!

This ain't running right.

Narrator
When parker wasn't at school,

He helped
His inexperienced neighbors.

Todd A little embarrassing...
You got a 15-year-old kid.

Telling you how to mine.

But he's got a lot
More experience than I do.

He's been mining
Since he was 6 years old.

Parker
That's not going to work.

Okay.

I'm sure he's looking at us
Like, "My gosh," you know?

"Look at these guys.
They're never going to make it."

You know they're amateurs.

When they dig through
With their fingers.

And look for it.
Don't know what they're doing.

Narrator Parker was right.

Todd and his team
Were out of their depth.

By the end of the season,
Todd had found just 15 ounces,

Worth $20,000...

Not enough to pay the fuel bill,
Yet alone his crew's wages.

I am broker now
Than when I arrived in alaska.

Broke.

Narrator The next summer
During the holidays,

Parker got a chance
To smash todd's total.

When his grandfather
Promoted him to mine boss.

- Thanks.
- Shake.

John Parker is sitting
On top of the world.

He has visions that he's going
To make thousands of dollars.

Every day,
And I hope he's right.

Narrator
Parker knew how to find gold,

But he lacked experience
Leading a crew.

Parker I'm just confused. Starting
time Has always been 800.

For the last 10 years.

Yep. Relax.

I don't care if you guys
Hate my guts.

- Right.
- I need a little respect.

- Who's the boss?
- You are.

Yeah. It doesn't feel like it.

Don't shut my crew down
Without talking to me.

Stop a minute.

Man You don't give me orders.

You ask.
Have some respect for me.

You don't tell me How to mine.

I have not told you
How to do your job.

One time this whole year,
Not once.

Parker, come here Just a minute.

You don't shout at him, and you
Don't point your finger at him.

We're up here to make money, and
We're up here to run the plant.

You won't make money
If you chase the help off.

John He had no idea
How to handle people.

He responded in anger,

And I'm just trying my damndest
To explain to him.

How this don't work.

Narrator 600 miles north...

Todd Fire it up.

Todd was facing
A different problem.

His loyal crew had followed him
To new ground.

In canada's gold-rich klondike,

But they hadn't yet
Figured out how to mine.

Look at these hydraulic riffles.
All of them are plugged.

Shut it down!

We basically need a filter
On the front end, james.

I mean, you're going to have
To frickin' either.

Make this from scratch...
I don't even know.

Well, I'll try to figure
Something out.

I need this yesterday.

Narrator
Halfway through the season,

Todd had produced
Around 15 ounces.

And was facing bankruptcy.

At big nugget,

Parker had done better.

He'd found 34 ounces of gold,

Worth $56,000.

With school term about to begin,

He headed north
To see his ex-neighbor.

Parker I'm just going to go
Say hi to todd and the boys,

And I might flash my gold
Around a little.

Narrator It was a meeting
That would define

Todd and parker's relationship
For years to come.

Parker came up, and he's
A good kid with a bright future,

So, I like parker.

Whoa!

Parker Hey, todd.

What do you got? Whoa!

Wow. How many ounce?

It's 34.

- 34?
- Yeah.

- That's nice.
- Yeah.

Jack He was pretty proud of it.

You know, he thought he'd
Actually stomped up, you know?

- Dad?
- How you guys doing?

Todd We're doing okay.

Parker Todd didn't tell me
How much gold he had.

It was all pretty weird.

See, why won't you tell me
What you've got?

It can't be worse
Than last season.

I don't know whether
He's playing.

The big ben or something.

Wait till the end Of the season,

And then we'll talk.

I don't need
To play games, todd.

It felt pretty... Disappointing.

That that's the way
They decided to handle it.

He's being an.

Or is it just me?

Parker shows up.
He wasn't invited up here, so...

I mean, it's open,

But, you know,
People need to be courteous.

When they come to my mine.

Narrator Having been shown up
By a 17-year-old,

Todd was determined
To beat parker next season.

While his friends headed
To college,

Parker returned to big nugget.

He believed the key
To making his millions.

Was to replace his grandfather's
Crew and hire younger men.

Who he could lead
With more conviction.

I got it.

Today is rick's first day
On the job.

Rick Whoops.

Narrator Rick ness was
A bass player from milwaukee.

Boy.

Damn it.

Parker What happened?

Rick Broke a cable.

I'll hook onto it
And give her a shot.

- What?
- I couldn't get it to do that.

Is there a boost
That I wasn't using

- or something?
- No.

All right.
I'll see you tomorrow.

Narrator
Despite rick's inexperience,

Parker and rick
Became good friends.

Hey, careful on that one.

I put a little too much
In there.

- All right. I'll baby it.
- Good man.

Hope it'll make it over there.

Narrator And together...

They transformed big nugget.

Parker spent around $100,000.

Opening up new ground.

We're going for 50 ounces
This week.

- Whoa.
- We'll need a lot of dirt,

- so keep doing your thing.
- You got it.

So this plant has never seen

In a week before,
Let alone in a day.

Narrator But big nugget
Was virtually dry.

Pretty depressing.

Narrator
By the end of the season,

Parker had made just enough
To cover his costs.

So you've... you got

- Yeah.
- Yeah.

Pay yourself 20 cents an hour.

Narrator Meanwhile,
In the klondike, parker's rival,

Todd hoffman,
Had turned a corner.

Todd This is like carrying
A sack of concrete, dad.

Hey, guys.

Guess what?

We're starting
To freakin' do it.

Jack We've got a grand total
Of 803 right now.

That's $1.2 million of gold.

I think everybody that's laughed
At us all the way to this point,

They can just kiss my a*s,

Because that's a lot
Of frickin' gold in here.

Narrator
Todd and his band of amateurs.

Had crushed parker
With a million-dollar haul.

Narrator Last year, todd
Hoffman had found $1 million.

Worth of gold in the klondike.

This season, parker planned
To mine there, too.

If I want to play
With the big boys,

I got to get up here
Where the big boys play.

Narrator Parker had arranged to
Lease a claim from tony beets,

One of the most ruthless miners
In north america.

Oy!

Narrator Meanwhile, parker's rival,
todd, Was leaving the klondike.

In search of
An even bigger payout.

We did get $1.2 million,
Which is fine,

But we want
A life-changing experience.

Narrator In a risky move,
Todd led his crew.

Thousands of miles south
To the jungle of guyana.

Well, there goes Our ride, guys.

No turning back now.

Narrator With $160,000 worth
Of gold to invest in machinery.

And rick by his side,
Parker headed to the klondike.

- Hey, tony.
- Hey, parker!

- How's it going, man?
- Good.

Narrator Parker set himself
A season goal of 800 ounces.

That 800-ounce number,

I don't really know
What inspired it.

Narrator
As landlord, tony demanded a cut.

Of all the gold parker mined,

Worth a massive $200,000
If parker reached his target.

The game's on.

Narrator When parker started
To mine, he hit a huge problem.

Tony didn't give me
The good ground.

Narrator
With little gold in the ground,

The young mine boss
Had to fight for every ounce.

I ran my crew into the ground.

Man Get out of the way!

- Come on.
- Back the up.

Parker If you're not happy,
Then you can leave.

The door is always open.

- You haven't...
- End of conversation.

End of conversation.

- Don't talk. Don't. No.
- That's why

- people don't appreciate it.
- Okay. Just leave.

Parker I wasn't going
To let anybody hold me back.

That's why every time
There was an issue,

I let people know.

We fired people.

You left early. You're fired.

People quit.

- One-day notice?
- That is.

There were some dark moments,
But I did it my way.

Narrator But no matter
How hard parker tried,

Tony always wanted more.

Parker 85 ounces.

Yeah.

Narrator
Desperate for better ground,

Parker discovered gold
Across the creek.

He moved his whole operation
To the new fantasy land cut,

Leaving thousands of yards
Of pay dirt untouched.

In his first cut.

Hey, tony.

Parker
Tony is just never happy.

He wants everything
Done his way,

And that's not why I'm here.

You know, I came up here
To do things my way.

The only way I can see
Getting tony off my back.

Is to pay him the royalty
On that 800 ounces right now.

And buy my freedom.

Hey, tony. Here.

That's the royalty on 800.

I'm paying it forward
So you can get off my a*s.

I've got a plan.

I just need to do it my way.

- Yeah.
- Okay.

Thanks, tony.

Narrator
With massive loans, fuel bills,

And wages still to pay,

Parker was now
On the brink of bankruptcy.

Better hope fantasy land
Pays off.

Narrator At the end of the season,
Parker took his concentrate home.

To his grandfather
For the final season weigh-in.

Parker 970, 990...

My god!

We're going to the yukon.

- Holy criminy!
- That's over 1,000 ounces!

Geez!

You made A great decision.

Here he is, 20 years old,
And he already...

- isn't that great?
- Goes to $1 million.

Narrator
Parker had smashed todd's record.

With a $1.4 million haul.

Narrator Last season, todd
Hoffman bet everything he had.

On finding gold in guyana,

But his expedition
Had been a total failure.

God! He found just 2 ounces,

Worth just over $2,000.

This is like a train wreck.

Narrator For the time being,
Todd had given up on the dream.

Todd There's peaks
And valleys in life.

That was definitely
A frickin' valley.

Narrator Meanwhile, todd's rival,

Was ready to move into
Gold mining's major league.

Parker
Last season was a huge success,

And we did over 1,000 ounces
On low-grade ground.

Narrator
Having proven himself last year,

Parker was in arizona
For an important meeting.

With his powerful landlord,
Tony beets.

Tony told me that
If I did well last year,

He'd give me better ground.

I'm here to get it.

Tony So fire away.

Well, I mean, like we said
Last year, you know,

That was a bit
Of a training ground.

But this season, you know,

I'm prepared to throw everything
We made last year into it,

But that means, obviously, like,
You know, we need better ground.

No, no, no, no, No, no, no, no.

I thought I could
Expect it because...

- No.
- It's quite obvious.

That you're leasing the ground
That you would never touch.

Parker I just met with tony,

And tony's basically Offering me.

The same ground
That we mined last year.

I'm not sure what to do.

If I'm going to give you some
True advice, I would say this.

I think you should Go up there,

Open up the ground
That tony's got,

And earn enough
To buy your own claim.

I would get out From under tony.

Narrator Back at scribner creek
For a second year...

Parker
We're going all-out this season.

Narrator
Parker's ambitious plan.

Was to mine twice
As much gold as last year...

I'm setting a 2,000-ounce goal
For us.

Narrator And earn enough
To buy his own claim.

- Should we get to it?
- Let's do it.

Let's crank her up.

The kind of yardage
We have to run,

We don't have time to waste.

Narrator Tony was investing
Parker's royalties.

In a radical new venture.

This 80-year-old dredge had been
One of the most efficient.

Gold-mining machines ever built.

Restoring this antique
Could cost another $1 million.

If tony was able
To get it working...

He could revolutionize
Gold mining.

And secure his reign over the
Klondike for decades to come.

At scribner creek, parker's plan
Was coming together.

With much of the credit going
To his experienced foreman,

Gene cheeseman.

Parker Gene is definitely
The key to this season.

He knows how to move dirt,

And that's what we need to do
Right now.

Narrator
By the end of the season,

They hit parker's

Feels pretty good to get
To our goal and finish strong.

Everybody's pulled together
To do it.

Yeah. I mean, it feels great,
But I'm just tired.

Narrator
But parker had a problem.

Tony's high royalties meant he
Still hadn't gotten enough gold.

To buy his own claim.

There was only one way
For parker to break free.

From his landlord.

Parker
I've got some bad news for you.

We're not done mining.

We need to keep working.

We need to stay
And find some more gold.

Is there an issue with that?

I understand you want to get
As much gold as you can get.

I understand that.
But everybody's wore out.

This is - I don't understand.

What the going on here.
You're not understanding that...

Rick I think our backs
Have been broken.

Narrator
But parker wanted more gold,

And despite the cold,
His crew worked on.

Gene I don't know
If there is a solution.

Maybe a solution is I leave.

I'm pretty pissed off.

That's 200.

Narrator Parker's winter push.

Helped the 20-year-old mine boss
Finish the season.

With 2,538 ounces.

I mean, that's $3 million
Right there on the table.

He had found enough gold
To buy his freedom.

But his victory came at a price.

His talented foreman,
Gene cheeseman, had had enough.

I'm done with parker.
I'm not coming back next year.

This morning,
He gave me a phone call.

That he's...

Wants to move on and doesn't
Think he's going to come back.

Narrator Without his foreman,

Parker couldn't risk
Buying his own claim.

Parker The last phone call I want
To make in the world right now.

Is to tony beets.

Can't believe
I'm about to do this.

Good. I just wanted to give you
An update on what's going on.

And I'm having a lot
Of issues this winter,

And, um, I, um...

I'd really like
To just come back.

Right now, that ground's
All I've got to go to, so...

Narrator
It had taken todd hoffman a year.

To recover
From his disaster in the jungle.

Now he was back in the klondike.

And ready to show his rival,
Parker schnabel,

How to mine gold.

Todd
He doesn't know what's coming.

There's a freight train coming,

And I'm the fat guy
That's the conductor.

Narrator At mckinnon creek,

Todd had all the ingredients
For success...

A loyal crew,
Gold in the ground,

And a radical plan...

Let's make a supercut,
The biggest cut we've ever seen.

A giant cut
That could propel him.

Into gold mining's elite.

If we could Pull this off,

It could be Incredible, man.

For a third year running,
Parker was heading back.

To the poor ground
At scribner creek.

Most of his old team had refused
To work with him again,

So he had been forced
To hire a rookie crew.

- Good. How are you?
- It's winter.

- You must be emily.
- Yeah.

- How's it going?
- Doing dandy.

Narrator
But there was one familiar face.

Didn't expect to see you
Right now.

Never been so happy
To see you, man.

Can I talk to you?
Yeah. You know how.

Losing gene is going
To affect the operation.

Yeah.

I need a new foreman.

Well, I hadn't... I certainly
Hadn't thought about that.

It is a big Responsibility.

But I'm up for it.

- Good.
- Yeah.

Thanks, buddy. Let's get it.

Narrator At mckinnon creek,

Todd's crew
Cleared the giant cut.

And set up
Their massive wash plant.

In just three weeks.

Now they were ready to see.

How much gold
Lay in the supercut.

Hey, guys.

- What is it?
- It's good.

How good?

Listen.

- Whoa.
- What?

- My god.
- Freaking kidding me.

Man Look at that.

God!

Guys, you know what?

This is one of the biggest
Cleanups we've ever done.

As a team, ever.

- whoo!
- Over 1/4 million bucks.

Narrator Todd was on course
For a record season.

Todd I think the sky's
The limit. I really do.

- Whoo!
- We got a good start.

We think we're going to beat
Everybody, not just parker.

Man, probably beat
Everybody around us.

Narrator
News of the supercut spread.

Parker went to see
What his rival was up to.

He's gone big-scale this year.

That's a big cut.

Dozer, come here.

Todd
Does he bite, or is he good?

Parker No. He's fine.

So, dude, you got a good
Start this year or not?

You know, it's a rough start,
But when isn't it?

So you're all settled in
For the season?

Looks like you guys
Have a whack of iron around.

Yeah.

You know what?
We're going to come out of here.

With the most amount Of gold.

Look out, parker.

You better frickin' Mine hard.

Whatever.

He really wants to pull more
Gold out of the ground than us,

But if he spends enough money
And puts in the effort,

He'll beat us.
I'm very competitive,

And I hate the thought
Of getting beat by todd.

Todd We got a better team,
And we got bigger hearts.

I don't believe
In parker's ability.

To keep his team together.

Narrator
Parker decided to take on todd.

And build an even bigger cut
Of his own.

Parker It's like
w*r of the cuts, you know?

He's got a supercut.

We need a massive boundary cut.

Narrator New foreman rick
And his greenhorns.

Were given just a few weeks.

To get the boundary cut
Up and running.

Parker I knew it was going
To take a lot,

And I didn't know
If we'd be able to do it.

Narrator Rick and his young team
Stepped up to the challenge.

Rick It's like a well-oiled
Machine right now.

Yep, that's pay dirt. Yes!

Hey, parker, we're down to pay
Dirt in the boundary cut, buddy.

Parker right on!

Narrator But before finishing
The boundary cut,

Rick's mother fell ill.

Parker A lot of things happened
At once that created a storm.

Rick had to leave.

The timing was incredibly poor
When I had to leave.

Like, I had to leave.

Right as basically
Was going to hit the fan.

Narrator Without rick
To act as a buffer...

I'm not into charity work.
If you want to be here,

work. Get the plant going.

Narrator Parker pushed
The crew day and night.

Last five days, I've worked over

I wouldn't treat my dog
The way that he's walking around.

Treating people that work here.

I know people in jail
Get treated better than that.

Narrator
One by one, the new crew quit.

- What's up?
- I'm just going home.

The only reason
I'm sticking around.

Is 'cause I heard
Rick's going to be back,

And we'll see If things change.

Narrator
By the time rick returned,

The boundary cut was only
Just up and running.

How's it going?

How's your mom doing?

Good.

It had taken so long to finish,

Parker was now 700 ounces,

Behind his rival, todd.

The young mine boss needed
A miracle to save his season.

Parker So, we ran 150 hours.

And I was honestly hoping
For an ounce an hour.

And we did do
A little better than that.

- Ooh.
- This looks good.

Man Look at that.

That's 409.7 ounces.

- Good job, guys. Good job.
- Congratulations.

Narrator The boundary cut had
produced Around 1/2 million dollars.

Worth of gold
In a single cleanup.

The boundary cut right now is
The best ground we've ever ran.

Narrator Parker's biggest
Gamble ever had paid off.

By the end of the season,

Todd's supercut
Had produced more gold.

Than all his previous
Seasons combined.

Whoo!

- We had 3,032...
- yeah!

- No way!
- Our best season ever.

Narrator
Todd had smashed his target.

But in the final cleanout...

Parker So, I reckon
That's probably about 25 ounces,

Which takes us
Past the hoffmans.

Rick I think he should
Have learned by now.

Narrator The young mine boss
Overtook him.

Parker
So, that takes us to 3,362.

Narrator Parker had beaten todd
By 330 ounces,

Bringing his total to just over
$3.5 million worth of gold.

Parker, you don't know
How pleased.

And proud I am of you.

I am lucky,

A very fortunate man.

Give him a hug, You big goon.

Man Give him a big hug.
Come on, parker.

Get up.

I love you.

I love... I love you, parker.

Parker I mean, it was beautiful
The way he just helped mold me.

Into who I am.

And my parents are owed
A lot, as well,

But when it comes to
Gold mining, it was my grandpa.

Narrator In the spring of 2016,
Parker's beloved grandfather,

Passed away.

John had devoted
The last years of his life.

To helping parker become
A successful gold miner.

John One of the greatest things
That I've done.

Is instill in my grandson...

You've got to try.

Don't ever give up.

Narrator In season seven,

Todd hoffman
Searched the lower 48.

For the mother lode.

We're starting over,
And that is scary.

He thought he'd found it
In his home state of oregon.

Hunter Dad, I found something!

Here's to 5,000 ounces, guys.

Narrator But his gamble failed.

My losses are in the hundreds.

And hundreds
Of thousands of dollars.

Narrator
By the end of the season,

He'd broken even
With 1,100 ounces.

While at scribner creek,

His young rival,
Parker schnabel...

What's in the box Is in the box.

Narrator Boosted by a second
Wash plant run by rick ness...

Boo-yah!

Narrator Pulled in
$5 million worth of gold.

In the last four years, parker
Had handed over $2 million.

In royalties to his landlord,
Tony beets.

But this season,

Parker wanted to get out
From under tony.

He had secretly leased a second
Claim from another landlord.

Just behind tony's camp.

Hopefully he's not around.

This is tony.

Well, now's as good
A time as ever.

Well, I'm on a lease
With ken and stewart.

On the ground Right next to you.

No way.

- Whatever, tony.
- Please.

Narrator Tony had persuaded parker
To carry on mining his ground.

For a fifth year.

While parker ran his powerful
Wash plant sluicifer.

At scribner creek,

Rick ness ran big red
At indian river.

Together, they hit their target.

With weeks to spare.

Boo-yah!

- Bingo.
- Over 5,000, I would say.

Good job, guys.

Holy cow.

We've got the chance here
To just smash it, so...

Might as well
Take advantage of it.

Chris I'm in.

Narrator
Having reached his season goal,

Parker defied tony
And moved onto his new ground.

After just a few hours...

What the is going on
Behind the fuel truck?

Narrator Parker spots
Something disturbing.

Someone had dug the road out,

So parker's fuel truck
Was now stuck.

Parker This is the act
Of a desperate man.

There's no Purpose for this.

Except to play stupid,
Childish games.

Tony.

You dug my road out.

Somebody dug out Our road.

Really?

Yeah, right. Do you really have
That big of a problem.

With me Being your neighbor?

Bye.

Narrator Back at the cut,
Rick spots another problem.

- Parker.
- Hey, man.

No.

What the

I really hope it's not tony
Screwing with us.

What the.

Narrator Someone had dumped plant
Material and dirt into the pond,

And now parker's pump
Was clogged up.

Well, it looks like it's coming
From way down there.

Tony's stripping Into our pond.

Parker I'm sure that he's just going
To say, "Well, sucks to be you."

Parker Not real great.

We've got a...
I'm sure you know.

We've got a pump put in
Right next to your own pump.

- Yeah.
- Trying to fill our ponds

- up there.
- And?

And, you know, the day
We put the pump in,

You start stripping
Into that pond,

And then there's everywhere.

It's not water anymore.

Tony has always been
A thorn in the side,

But now it's a thorn
In the pocketbook,

- so retribution is in order.
- Yeah.

Narrator
Without access to water,

The only way to wash the dirt
From parker's new claim.

Was to transport it
Through tony's camp...

To rick's wash plant, Big red,

Which was still sitting on
Tony's ground at indian river.

But by washing dirt from
Another claim on tony's ground,

Parker was
Breaking his contract.

Parker If he wants to come
After me for whatever we do,

Come on.

Let's dance.

Tony beets.

Whoa, there.
What are you doing now?

We got a pile of pay
Here now, tony.

We're going to run it.

And you can Go yourself.

Narrator
After a 6,000-ounce season...

- parker.
- Hey, todd. How's it going?

Parker met up
With his rival, todd hoffman.

We got some business?

Todd had bet parker that he'd
Find the most gold this season,

But he'd only managed

Todd Thank god
I got enough to pay you.

Way to go.
Great season. You earned it.

The 100-ounce bet cost todd

Todd Here you go, parker.

Narrator And after eight years
On "Gold rush,"

Todd threw in the towel.

Way to go.

Got her.

Todd The season didn't go
Like we had hoped.

I'm tired of losing.

I'm not a gold miner.

Narrator Coming up in season 9,

The king
Of the klondike stumbles.

After two years
And costing $2 million,

Tony's second dredge
Is still stuck in thistle creek.

And this season,
Parker wants revenge...

He's not afraid To you over.

Narrator As they go
Head-to-head for the most gold.

And "Gold rush" welcomes
A new mine boss...

Yeah. I'm going out
Mining on my own.

Geez.

Narrator As rick ness
Sets up his own operation.

With a group
Of hometown buddies.
