[general nature sounds]
[machines rumbling]
Boom up a little bit, Jordy.
Parker wants to move more dirt
than ever before,
so these 550s
will be the answer.
It all slides nicely when
it's brand new, huh?
[Jordy] Perfect!
[Taylor]
We can send this bad boy out.
[creaking]
Hey, Parker,
you got a copy, Parker?
[Parker] Hey, what's going on?
[Taylor] Yeah, bro,
this 550's on its way.
I'm just heading over
to Sulphur.
We had a new toy delivered,
so I'm just going
to check it out.
I don't know what the fun is
in having a dirt-moving company
if you can't have
new equipment.
[thrilling music plays]
[narrator] Gold mining mogul
Parker Schnabel
is sitting
in the driver's seat.
Just three weeks
into the season,
he's banked more
than $2 million in gold
from his Dominion Creek claims.
Now he's eager to find out
if the gamble he took
at Sulphur Creek will pay out.
[Parker] We ordered
oversize buckets.
I'm not sure how
it's gonna like this.
They just started hauling pay
out of the pit here at Sulphur,
and I'm just making
more room for stockpile.
The thing is pretty sweet.
But that's a six-and-a-quarter
yard bucket, which is huge
for this size machine.
The bigger the bucket,
the better.
Absolutely chewing
through the ground.
Basically, we're
under the g*n for time.
The water license here
at Sulphur expires soon,
and I don't wanna be put
in a position where, much like
Rick Ness is right now,
where we are desperately
waiting and hoping
for a license that we need
in order to do
what we wanna do.
Mined since 1898,
Sulphur Creek's gold
is legendary,
with stories of nuggets
sitting on the creek bed.
To date,
it's paid out $1.2 billion,
and Parker's praying
there's still big gold
in the ground.
[Parker]
I'm definitely worried.
Sulphur's a really tricky
piece of ground.
Are we doing all of this
on Sulphur at the cost
of getting Dominion done?
Like, that's the question
that haunts me.
[ominous music plays]
[Brennan] Beautiful new toy!
That only took me 30 seconds.
[Brennan laughs]
[Parker] So far, it's handling
this bucket really well.
It looked like it.
You were full extension there.
- Yeah.
- I was like, "Wow."
Dude, look at how wide it is
compared to the 480.
- [Brennan] That's insane!
- [Mitch] Yeah.
[Brennan]
Nice purchase there, boss man.
- [Parker] Special delivery.
- [Mitch] Thank you.
[Parker] So the big thing,
getting you sluicing
as soon as we can.
[Mitch] How much time
do we have for that?
I was hoping that we could be
sluicing within a week.
[dramatic music plays]
- [Parker] I'm excited.
- Yeah? [chuckles]
[Parker] I want to get
another plant running.
And so that's
your guys' challenge.
It's a big one.
They have a nice,
shiny new excavator.
That should give them
some solid reliability.
And hopefully,
here in three or four days,
we'll have a washplant
banging away at Sulphur.
[thrilling music plays]
[Mitch]
Yo, Brennan, you got a copy?
Dude, you can just hear
that clock ticking
every minute down here.
We're getting closer
to running out of time.
[Brennan]
It's a big undertaking.
The six-yard bucket will make
up for some serious lost time.
Well, man, he wants
A good part of that's gotta
come out of here.
Hell yeah, buddy.
This is a pretty cool
treasure hunt to be on.
This property's been hammered
so hard, you get really worried
about, man, are we gonna
move all this dirt?
And at the end of the day,
is there gonna be
nothing left in it?
[loader rumbling]
At Sulphur Creek,
Mitch and Brennan
are on a treasure hunt.
For the last three weeks,
they've been clearing
overburden away
from a narrow two-acre cut
next to the bank of the valley
searching for gold-rich
virgin pay
that an old-timer's
dredge missed.
Now, down to pay, they need
to dig it out and stockpile it
at the mouth of the cut, then
bring in washplant Roxanne
and fire it up
by the end of the week.
[Mitch]
This cut is very narrow,
not a lot of room to work.
We've got all this groundwater
that's pouring in on us.
All this material,
it's so saturated,
we've gotta try
and dry it up.
You know, then we've gotta
pile all this up
into a pay pile.
The wetter it is,
the harder all that is.
The trucks will do better when
they're running on dry ground.
[engine revving]
[Sean] This pay we're
hauling here, it's real wet.
Now it's making
one hell of a mess.
Rock truck operators
Sean Holcroft
and Jordan Grosvenor
splash through the cut
hauling pay dirt.
[Jordan]
With the amount of pay we got
coming in from the cut,
there's not really any place
where we can put it, so we have
to drive over the stuff
we already put here, but it was
just shlop we hauled in
from there.
[deep rumbling]
[Sean] [bleep]!
This stuff sucks, man.
You know, it's hard
to even drive through.
- [crashing, rattling]
- [Sean] Whoa! [bleep]!
There she goes.
Jordan's truck rolled over.
Uh, Mitch.
- You got a copy, Mitch?
- Yeah, go ahead.
[Sean] I got a truck flipped
over here.
It's Jordy's.
The box is over,
not completely,
but it's definitely over.
[Mitch] It's fine.
I'll get up there.
I'm surprised that it took this
long for something to happen.
[Sean] Never a dull moment.
[Mitch] See, they got their tire
up on a high point there
and rolled her over,
so I get it back on its feet.
You ready, Jordan?
Just put it in neutral.
Just flip back over.
[creaking, rattling]
Ooh, that's heavy.
Try and gently drive forward.
If I honk, stop.
[truck revving]
Go ahead and dump
that pile right there.
And don't go back
that far anymore.
Please and thank you.
[Jordan] You know,
it's just a lot of pressure
being put on us here,
having to haul
all this [bleep] out
by the end of the week here,
and sometimes [bleep]
just ends up going sideways.
[Mitch] Everybody's doing
everything we can here.
If we fall short on getting
this ground sluiced at Sulphur,
it's gonna mean that 10,000
ounces is gonna be
out the window very quickly.
That's definitely not
how Parker wants
to start the season off.
[sloshing softly]
King of the Klondike,
Tony Beets, is crushing it.
He's been sluicing
at his Indian River operation
for five weeks,
already banking 775 ounces
of his 6,500 ounce target.
[Tony speaking]
[rumbling]
[intriguing music plays]
It feels good to be successful
up here, helping out Tony.
The task that Tony gets me
to do every day puts out more
trust and confidence
in my work ethic
and what I can do
as a person.
Heavy equipment operator
Jacob Moore
only joined the Beets crew
last season.
Now he has to step up to acting
foreman and impress the king.
He's put every trust
that I never thought
I would ever get up here.
If you're honest
and give it your all,
then you get treated
like one of them.
[Tony speaking]
[Jacob] Yeah, go ahead.
[Tony speaking]
[Jacob] Yeah, copy that.
[Tony speaking]
[intriguing music plays]
[Jacob]
Ahh... That's not good.
[Tony speaking]
[Jacob] Sounds good, Tony.
Last week, Tony tasked his crew
with expanding the 13 acre
Early Bird Cut
by a further nine acres.
But now spring meltwater
is flooding in,
drowning the exposed
gold-rich pay.
Tony wants Jacob to bring in
a submersible pump
connected to a 400-foot-long
pipe and pump out the water
to drain into a mined-out
section of the cut,
allowing his crew
to get back to hauling pay.
[Jacob]
That was a lot of pressure,
but I can handle it.
We need to get
what Tony wants done
the way Tony wants it done.
I do not wanna be
on Tony Beets' wrong side.
[Tony speaking]
Jacob's first task?
Move in the submersible pump.
[Tony speaking]
[rumbling]
[Jacob]
I'm just gonna
move it over here,
that way we get
that pipe hooked up.
[whirring]
Uh, we're just gonna get
the pump set up
and get this pipe
dug into place,
so we can get
the water pumped out.
[adventurous music plays]
Wiggle it.
Up!
[bleep]
[clanking]
[Jacob]
See if it'll tilt this way.
Push up on it.
It's starting to go.
Oh, [bleep],
are you kidding me?
That's [bleep].
Try that.
[Andrew speaking]
[clanking]
[Jacob grunts]
[Tony speaking]
[Jacob]
It needs to go down more.
Swing it back this way.
[Tony speaking]
Whoo!
[clanking]
[Jacob]
It needs to go down more.
Swing it back this way?
At Indian River,
Tony has tasked
stand-in foreman Jacob Moore
with draining the flooded
Early Bird extension
within an hour.
But the king isn't impressed
with how long it's taking.
Jacob's time and
Tony's patience are up.
[Tony speaking]
[Jacob] [bleep]
[loader roars]
[Tony speaking]
- [Andrew] Hey.
- [Tony speaking]
[intriguing music plays]
- Got it?
- Yeah.
[Tony speaking]
[Andrew speaking]
[Andrew grunts]
[Tony speaking]
[Andrew speaking]
Ow.
[Jacob] Yeah?
[Tony speaking]
[Jacob] My truck's over
by the red pump.
- [Tony speaking]
- [Jacob] Yeah.
[Tony speaking]
[whistling softly]
[Tony speaking]
[Andrew] Yeah, oh, yeah
[clanking]
[Tony speaking]
Finally, after Tony's
intervention, the pump can
start draining
the flooded cut.
[Jacob] Good?
[engine starts]
[rattling heavily]
And she's sucking.
[Tony speaking]
[Jacob]
[bleep] pain in the a*s.
Tony's not too impressed.
Definitely no,
he's not pleased.
[Tony speaking]
[ominous chord strikes]
Just a bit more stress
than I was really hoping for
this year.
We are kind of hurting
for experienced crew.
Brennan's not coming back.
Kayden's off to Parker's
as well.
Kind of dropping like flies
around here.
Kevin Beets' second season
as mine boss is off to a rocky
start, having lost two key
members from his skeleton crew.
On a small crew, when people
leave, you feel it.
further away now,
but at least we're sluicing.
So we are still able
to be producing.
We have a bit of pay stockpiled
from the Lynx extension,
but as soon as that runs out,
we're really gonna have
to get material out
of the Pyramid Cut.
Kevin's crew has been sluicing
stockpiled pay from last season
for two weeks, delivering
over 100 ounces.
But with the pile fast running
out, his crew of five have also
been racing to open up
new ground
in the three-acre
Pyramid Cut.
[Ayla]
It's nonstop for the trucks
hauling overburden.
The goal is to hit pay
in the Pyramid Cut in time
for when the plant is moved
and ready to fire back up.
We're stretching our crew
to the limit right now,
but it's what we gotta do
to keep on going.
We're finishing up the pay
around the plant,
then we'll move the plant.
But there's gonna be a lot
more work than I thought it is
now without Brennan and Kayden.
With a big plant move
on the horizon this week,
Kevin's looking to find
new recruits.
Me and Faith are working
our way through quite
a few resumes.
We did find a fairly
experienced miner.
We'll see him when he shows up
and hopefully that works out.
Veteran gold miner Buzz Legault
has had a busy winter.
But Buzz wasn't smiling last
year after two seasons working
for Rick Ness.
[Rick]
Hey Buzz, you got a copy?
[horn honking]
Their relationship soured.
[Rick] Hey, Buzz!
There's not a 100-person
crew here.
You're a [bleep] guy
on this crew.
You're gonna jump in
where the [bleep] you fit in,
or you're gonna go [bleep] home.
[Buzz speaking]
[pensive music plays]
Not too bad.
Howdy good sir.
- [Faith] Hello there.
- [Kevin] Nice to meet you.
Nice to meet you and
your 10,000 lumen smile.
[laughs]
[Kevin] Thanks for coming
to meet us, Buzz.
We do appreciate
you showing up.
Though we do gotta ask,
I know you're the foreman
at Rick's last year,
and clearly you're
not going back there.
What's happening?
[Kevin] Hmm.
- [Faith] Congratulations.
- [Kevin] Yes.
[Buzz speaking]
[Kevin] We're down a foreman.
Is that something you might be
interested in or?
Well, I think we kind of need
more of a jack-of-all-trades
more than anything else.
From what I've gathered,
you know how to run equipment,
you know how to fix things,
and you can also
weld a little bit.
This might work.
[Buzz speaking]
[all laugh]
Yeah.
If it all sounds good to you,
welcome aboard.
- Perfect.
- [Buzz speaking]
[intriguing music plays]
As much as I would like to have
all of the focus on Dominion,
that's just not really
a feasible option.
There are projects that
absolutely have to happen
this year, and that is Sulphur,
so we just have to get
them done.
[creaking, rattling]
[epic music plays]
[Brennan]
At Sulphur, we're just about
ready for the plant move.
We're gonna get rocks in.
Parker's trying to give us
the best of the best for what
we have to do here.
At Sulphur Creek,
Brennan and Mitch have
identified what they believe
are gold hotspots
and stockpiled the paydirt.
Now it's finally time
to start sluicing.
[Mitch] We're ready to haul
Roxanne down to Sulphur,
so we're gonna go build us
a washplant.
You know, early in the season
like this, the roads are
in the worst shape
of the whole year.
Come on, baby.
Come on, come on.
[vehicle creaking, rattling]
This is the sketchiest thing
we have done in a long time.
We got soft roads, washplant
that's top heavy,
and we're in a rush.
The 25 miles of dirt road
from Dominion to Sulphur
is closed all winter.
Opened just six weeks ago,
it is still thawing out.
[Mitch]
Oh, you almost hit that tree!
Roxanne is big and robust
and we throw rocks at it all
day long, but we're
clipping the trees.
And all it's gonna take is
driving onto some wiring or
a hose, and we're gonna have
a washplant that's not going
to wanna do
what it needs to do.
Check this branch out!
[bleep]!
I think we're taking
some risks here.
[crashing]
[Mitch]
Oh, no, no, no, no, no!
[soft thud]
[Mitch] [bleep]!
Well, there went our internet...
Our washplants have internet
on them, which is very handy.
This one now does not.
We're too remote here to have
the radios reach back to camp.
We are going to need
a new dish here.
All right, we got Roxanne
where it needs to live.
We'll run back, grab a sluice
run, start putting
this thing together.
There we have it.
We're gonna build a little
pad and pull this thing off
as quick as we can.
We just gotta get her off
in one piece, then up straight.
[rumbling, creaking]
I like it.
Looks good!
Next, Mitch collects
the plant's sluice runs
from Dominion.
[Mitch]
The purpose of the sluice runs
being wide is to put more
through the washplant faster.
The problem with that is when
you've gotta move it.
You can see I'm having to drive
down the middle of the road.
If something's driving
the other way,
we're gonna be in trouble.
Last thing I'm gonna be
doing is backing up
on these roads miles.
Just gotta slow down here.
It's so narrow here,
and these trees are big.
And this thing is clipping
things on the sides.
You can hear the branches
breaking behind us here.
We are just threading a needle
right now.
Yeah, I'm--
Oh, we got something coming off
the back there.
These roads are so rough,
this trailer's vibrating
so much.
[rattling heavily]
We're not stopping on
the middle of these hills,
we'll have to go back
and get it.
- Jacob, you got a copy?
- [Jacob] Yeah, go ahead.
[Mitch] Jacob, we are missing
some of the iron and some
of the carpets.
See what all you can find.
[thrilling music plays]
[Jacob]
Load all these guys up.
Don't have to go that far.
Get them back as fast
as possible.
Just put them back in the runs.
[Mitch] Right on, buddy.
Give her.
Just gonna pull the sluice
runs off here,
build a washplant.
Well, now we're looking
pretty good here.
What do you say we bring in
the next piece of the puzzle?
[rattling]
[Alec] Yeah, yeah, we got
clearance here.
[Mitch] Right now, we got
our hopper feeder
and the conveyor in place.
The plant's levelled.
The sluice runs are set.
So we just gotta hook up
our water line here,
and we're gonna be ready
to start sluicing.
[engine starts]
Here we go.
We got Roxanne firing up
right now!
This is our first scoop
going in here,
and we got three washplants
up and running.
[epic music plays]
- [Mitch] What's up?
- [Parker] How are we?
[Brennan] Looking good.
[Parker] Nice job making that
work in time.
I was like, "There's no way
this is gonna work."
[Mitch] I mean, dude, it came
together pretty nice.
[Parker] Good job!
This project was supposed
to be 1,000 feet.
Now it's 2,000 feet.
There's more to go.
[Brennan] Yeah, 3,000.
Four!
[all laugh]
At Indian River,
with Cousin Mike still away,
Tony has no choice but
to give stand-in foreman
Jacob Moore a second chance
to step up.
[Jacob] I do have worries
for what Tony will think.
I want to show him that I can
make decisions and do stuff
on my own without his need to be
there and oversee everything.
[Eric speaking]
[rattling erratically]
[creaking loudly]
Yeah, I heard it too,
I'll check it out.
[high-pitched whirring]
[engine winds down]
[Jacob]
Noise coming from the plant
so we're gonna check it out
and see what's going on
up here.
At Indian River,
stand-in foreman Jacob has shut
down Tony Beets' only running
washplant, Sluice-A-Lot,
to investigate mysterious
noises coming from inside
the shaker deck.
[Jacob] I have suspicions
it's probably down here where
all the bolts and everything's
bolted together.
Means I'll have to crawl
in here.
Hopefully nothing's broken.
Oh, [bleep].
There's our issue.
Everything is cracked
to [bleep].
That is not good.
We can't run this at all.
This plant will just shake
itself in the little itty-bitty
bits out the tailings.
I'm lucky that we caught it
when we did
before it cut too bad.
Slide, lift it up so we can get
the chute out,
because the chute
is cracked as well.
Now I'll get this chute out so
we can have two welders going
at the same time.
All right, I'm just gonna
put my feet on it.
[Jacob grunts]
[Andrew] Whoo-hoo!
[Jacob] It's heavy.
There's a problem.
The bolt rattled out and caused
it to get violent and crack.
Now, we're gonna take
the welders down here.
Sluice-A-Lot shaker deck has
two screens that separate
waste rocks
from gold-rich pay dirt.
The waste rocks move towards
a tailing chute that funnels
them onto a conveyor and ejects
them into a waste pile.
But some of the bolts
connecting the chute
to the deck's steel frame
have fallen out,
making it unstable,
leading to the chute
constantly hitting
and cracking
the deck's frame.
Jacob plans to weld the cracks,
replace the old chute,
bolt it back into place,
and get the washplant
up and sluicing again.
[Jacob] Where do you want
that to weld?
[Andrew speaking]
[Jacob] I noticed this crack
here, another crack here,
and here as well.
A couple of seconds,
man, could have been a big
change in what we're
doing today.
[Keith] Yeah, you're lucky.
Because I'm gonna actually
do an inside weld first.
Because then when I grind,
oh, there's my weld.
I get 100% out of it.
[adventurous music plays]
[Jacob] JB is still working
on the crack.
[Keith]
Just doing the last weld here.
[buzzing]
All done.
[Jacob] Keith has the cracks
all done on the plant.
We've been down for three
or four hours now.
We've gotta put this chute on.
We've got the cracks welded up
on it, and now we're just gonna
get it back in place.
Mason's up there putting
the bolts in for me.
Here, I’ll come
give you a hand.
Getting there, buddy.
[sighs]
[whirring]
Yeah, that's the last bolt,
just got to tighten 'em up.
We're good to go.
- [radio static buzzes]
- [Jacob] Yeah, go ahead.
[Monica] Tony just called.
He wants to know
if we are sluicing.
We will be here in like
[Monica] Perfection.
[whirring]
[Jacob]
You're all done up there?
[Andrew] Yes, sir!
[Jacob] Tony's coming out here.
So it would be nice to have
rocks coming out the tailings
and gold in the box
for when he shows up.
I'm gonna hop in the hoe,
if you wanna fire everything
up for me.
[engine starts]
[dramatic music plays]
[Jacob]
Everything went very well.
Everything was fixed
in a timely manner.
We're back in action,
and hopefully we're good
from here on out.
[Tony speaking]
[Jacob] Oh, the plant was
all cracked.
We had it all welded up,
and back sluicing.
[Tony speaking]
Still washing rocks.
[Tony speaking]
Yeah, take care, Tony.
[Jacob] Yeah, see you later.
[Tony speaking]
[intriguing music plays]
[Kevin]
Since we're done on the floor
here, we are moving the plant
to a new location
on the wayside over there.
Three miles away,
at Scribner Creek,
Tony's eldest son, Kevin,
has run out of stockpiled pay
and is preparing
for the biggest plant move
of his fledgling career.
We're gonna have so much
space for our fine tailings
and our coarse tailings.
Down here, we only had 20 feet
we could fill up.
On top of the wayside,
that's gonna be
Easier on the equipment,
shorter trips.
Kevin wants to haul his 35-ton
washplant from its current pad
at the Lynx Cut
with an excavator
down a 20-degree slope,
maneuver it around a tight
corner, then drag it 400 feet
up a steep 30-degree incline
to its final sluicing location.
[Kevin] It is gonna be a little
bit of a bit further away from
the Pyramid Cut, but as soon
as we're done here, we're gonna
have to go upstream,
and we're gonna be way
closer to the upstream cuts,
so a bit of future-proofing.
Now we just gotta [bleep]
make it happen.
I'd like to get everything
up and running.
Not to rush you,
but we're trying to rush you.
Kevin puts new recruit, Buzz,
straight into the hot seat.
This is gonna be one
of the first big projects
Buzz is gonna do for us since
he came on site.
So, got high expectations
and high hopes.
Get on the cables
and then let's get ready.
We're gonna hook up the plant
and drag that into position.
[Kevin] Faith, can I get
you on the pin?
[Faith]
This is the only plant we got.
If this is damaged, we're stuck
in the water, so to speak.
Hopefully this move
goes smoothly.
[clanking]
All right, everything's
hooked up.
I guess it's time
to pull, Buzz.
We'll have the rest of us as
spotters, but just be careful.
Let's [bleep] go!
[engine starts]
[deep rumbling]
We have movement.
This will be a good test
of Buzz's operating skills.
[Buzz speaking]
I'm just watching that
our runs are not scraping
on the ground at the end.
If they're too close,
they'll rub on the ground
and they might rip off,
leading to a lot
of repair work, so.
So [bleep] close.
[bleep] close.
We're just [bleep]
scraping them right now.
[rattling]
[Buzz speaking]
Stop, stop.
Don't try and lift it up
like that.
Let the tension off the cable.
We're raising the sluice runs
so they don't drag
on the ground.
Case in point.
We pay 3 quarters of a million
dollars for the washplant,
so we really don't wanna
[bleep] it.
Chute's lifted up.
We shouldn't have any other
problems for the pull.
[Buzz speaking]
[Kevin] Now we pull it
up the hill
to its final resting spot,
hopefully for the season.
[revving, rattling]
[metallic creaking]
[Faith]
Oh no, it's slipping!
[Kevin] [bleep], [bleep].
Yep, stop, stop.
That's not gonna [bleep] work,
your a*s end's already
off the ground.
I don't think
it's gonna do it.
Well, I guess the washplant
might be a bit too heavy
with the angle and the hill.
[Buzz speaking]
[Kevin]
We'll get something
with twice the weight,
four times the power.
All righty, bring that D10
over here, s'il vous plait.
[operator speaking]
The 63-ton D10 dozer is
the 480 excavator and has
three times the pulling power.
Let's get the dozer lined up
and, well, that's gonna
[bleep] move it, guaranteed.
[Kevin] Better.
[Buzz speaking]
[Kevin] There we go!
A hundred tons of [bleep] you,
we're going somewhere.
Stop! Perfect.
- Went up the hill, nice.
- Oh, yeah.
[Faith] Good job, Buzz!
Didn't even have
to break a sweat.
[Buzz speaking]
[Kevin]
Now that's all in place,
the next thing is to do a bit
of repairs and take a bit
of extra time.
We shouldn't have to move
this year or next year.
We have so much space
for tailings, and that way,
this summer, we can just
run, run, run.
I am very happy with that.
- [Buzz] Yeah.
- [Kevin] [bleep] Yeah.
[upbeat music plays]
[Tony speaking]
Tony Beets runs a tight ship,
and his crew members need to be
able to walk a fine line.
- [Minnie] Hi, guys.
- [Mike] Hello.
- [Monica] Hello.
- [Tony speaking]
[clatters]
[Tony and Minnie]
[Minnie] So what is new
in the Indian River?
[Tony speaking]
With cousin Mike away,
stand-in foreman Jacob ran
Tony's only producing
washplant, Sluice-A-Lot.
- [Minnie] So how many days?
- We sluiced for seven days.
Minus the couple of hours that
you were down, so it's not
a full week.
Sluice-A-Lot has been averaging
[Tony speaking]
Worth $878,000.
That's not bad.
- [Tony speaking]
- Only days.
[Monica] Hey, does that put us
over 1,000 ounces?
[Minnie] Yeah, 1,025.
[Tony speaking]
Yeah.
With that being said,
you should pack it back up
and go do what you all do best.
OK, we'll see
you guys later.
[Tony speaking]
Yeah, it doesn't
take much, eh?
[Tony speaking]
And with the gold price it is,
it's a lot of money.
Three miles east, at Scribner,
it's the end of Buzz's first
week with Kevin and Faith.
[Faith]
How are you fitting in so far?
[Buzz speaking]
[Buzz chuckles]
[Kevin] Been kicking off a lot
of projects pretty quick,
seeing problems and fixing
them, so I think overall,
fitting in pretty good.
I'm curious, how's it compared
to working with Rick?
Very different?
- [Buzz speaking]
- How different?
[Faith] Just different.
[laughs]
Well, that's good to hear,
Buzz, because, like, with Kayden
and Brennan leaving, I was
starting to worry that,
well, we were doing
something wrong
and just didn't [bleep] know.
This is the last of our piggy
bank cut, so we have a little
bit of gold to weigh.
Not bad looking amount.
[Faith] Not too bad.
It's time to weigh the last
of Kevin's stockpiled pay.
Kevin ran for three days
before moving the washplant.
[Kevin] One for the money,
two for the show.
Let's [bleep] go.
[Buzz] 3...10...18...
[Kevin]
Yeah, that's not too bad.
Worth $198,000.
[Kevin] It's encouraging
for everything else
we're gonna run.
Definitely, there's gold
in the ground.
So what does that put our total
at for the year so far?
Currently, we're sitting
at 162.09.
So a while away
to the 2,000 ounces.
[Buzz speaking]
[Kevin] I mean, of course,
we wanna get sluicing
as soon as possible.
We've got some work to do
with the plant, so it's gonna
take a little bit of time,
but ideally
we'll get going ASAP.
Hopefully, by the end of
the week, we can start sluicing
the Pyramid Cut, see what
treasures it's got.
It's not running, we're not
getting any gold, so.
[scoffs]
[upbeat music plays]
Well, having internet
on the trucks this year
is like a lifesaver,
Except for me, I'm like,
I need to get a hold--
like the other day when I was
trying to get a hold of you,
I'm like-- call you
and you don't answer.
And I'm like,
"Where is this [bleep]?"
[all cackle]
It's that look right there.
I had a dream last night.
I was telling Mitch,
I was like, "I don't know
what the [bleep]."
I was stressed out.
I woke up sweating.
[Mitch] He was telling me
about that dream.
"His cheek was
like touching my...
His stubble was
rubbing my face."
He almost caught me.
[all cackle]
[Tyson]
How does it feel to make it
into Brennan's dreams?
Oh, man, I wanna haunt
all four of you.
Yeah, what's it like
working for Parker?
Well, there's the dreams
and the PTSD,
but other than that,
it's great.
Three washplants
up and running.
It's Parker's first triple
gold weigh of the season.
- [Doumitt] OK, T, you ready?
- Yeah.
Get that Sluicifer here.
This is a two-hander.
See how the Golden Mile
did this week.
Last week, the Golden Mile
produced 152 ounces.
[Tyson] Here we go.
Got 20...60...80...120...140...
- 200...
- [Parker] Nice.
[Tyson] 210...220...222.3.
Worth $778,000.
- [Parker] Sick.
- [Brennan] That is nice.
[Doumitt]
Anyway, we got Mr. Bob.
Come on, Brennan.
The Bridge Cut is averaging
[Brennan] 20...40...80...
- 90...130...140.
- [Doumitt] Yeah.
- [Brennan] 170.
- [Parker] Oh, yeah.
[Brennan] 190.4!
Worth $666,000.
- [Parker] Sick.
- [Brennan] Nice.
Finally, Parker
will discover if his gamble
to chase gold left behind
by the old timers at Sulphur
will pay out.
- [Doumitt] We gotta do
Sulphur, Mitch.
- [Parker] We need it.
We've been spending money like
it's going out of style.
[Mitch]
First round of Sulphur here.
We got 20...40...
That's actually really good
for the hours you ran.
Yeah, I mean, we just got
the plant set up,
and that material was like
the first cut off.
[Parker] Oh, I thought it was
gonna be terrible.
I thought you were gonna
have like 20 ounces.
[Brennan] Wow, that's a lot
of gold for one week.
- Yeah.
- Yeah, we had a really
good week.
Well, we had--
For this week,
it was 527 and a half ounces.
For the week!
[all cheering, laughing]
Worth over $1.8 million.
- For the season so far,
it's 1,235.4 ounces.
- Sweet.
Which is about
of where we were
this time last year.
Nice.
All right.
Thanks, guys.
- [Brennan] Thank you.
- [Parker] Keep it up.
- Let's get back out there, man.
- [Mitch] Let's do it.
- [Parker] Good job, boys.
- [Brennan] Thank you.
[Parker]
It's really nice to have
three plants up and running.
Mitch and Brennan are doing
a good job over at Sulphur
getting that opened up.
So I'm excited to see
what it can do
in a full week of running.
It's pretty sweet.
We're gonna do some serious
damage this year.
Bosco!
