out here at the fairgrounds,

don't build any cars
like this anymore.
Not street rods.
Not as much anymore. No.
And to be honest with you,
I really actually like
driving a street rod.
I think they are fun to look
at and drive and everything,
but you know, muscle cars,
the big body cars,
I mean, things have opened up
so much and different people's
takes on
different genres
and everything else.
I think, I think that's what
makes it interesting.
Now let's take a,
let's take a look around here.
It's a beautiful car, though.
Look at the wheels.
Oh, yeah.
So this is a
riddler great 8.
There is a few really
super high-end cars
inside the building.
One of which is actually
a detroit autorama
great 8 winner.
Called the old sled.
This thing is bitchin'.
Not copying.
Call research.
Look how he floated that
seat right down.
No gap underneath it.
[dave] to get into the detroit
autorama great 8,
the car has to be
over-the-top.
First time seen and first time
debuted at any car show.
This car actually met
that criteria.
And of course, to get there,
you got to have
some really cool one-off
stuff. The wheels are one-off.
The chop.
The body work.
-No, this is a neat,
neat piece.
-Cool car, though.
So far we are just getting
started
looking at the car show.
It's starting to really
shape up to be a nice weekend.
So, I seen this car pull
in today and he waved to me
and I said hi and now I get
an opportunity to look
at this car, it is sick.
Sometimes everything comes
together on a big build
and this is definitely
one of those.

big body,
these big body fords.

and everything looks
right on it.
It doesn't look
wimpy or sissy.
It looks tough and manly.
This has the same
dash as the truck.

if you look at it,
you can see that,
that we did different gauges.
I think we had to actually
shrink ours
a little bit to get it in.

thing about these,
is you can cut them
pretty easily and you
really can't tell.

The interior is smoking hot,

better than that.

Which means, I'm sold on it.

one of the corvettes,
a rendering, with this color.
Or something close
to this, anyway.
And, uh, but I love the little
bit of flop violet to it.
And it goes almost
silver on, on the backside.
It's not too light.
My dad, my dad had
a volkswagen that
was painted
-really close to this color.

you judge cars,
and you give them stars
and that shows how much
you like them.
It's very innovative.
And then three stars means
they are probably
going to get an award.
Two stars is good.
Three stars is better.
And you know it can just
go as many stars as you want.
It's unlimited, okay?
Nobody has a judging
system that is unlimited.
This is amazing.
This is groundbreaking.
So, no, three stars
should be definitely.
Two stars should be a maybe,
put it in, put it out.

into this judging star system
and now dave is just
