a '53 Mercury Four,
stroked out to 304 cubic inch,
pretty radical.
If you like,
I'll start it for you.

on a Pete & Jakes chassis
with a 49-inch.

it's kind of raw
and around 100 miles
is about as far
as I want to go in that seat.
It gets a little hot.
It's 1936 Mercedes
It's a movie car.
Not an original.
If it was an original,
it would be worth
about $11.8 million.
But as a movie car
it's worth about $700,000.
A Time to k*ll
is one of them.
"b*ll*ts Galore"
is another one.
A lot of, you know,
"who cares" movies.
We painted it.
She's on her third engine,
second interior, second top.
Been a fun car.
She's won over 100 medals.

So do you actually race
this down the track?
No, we don't race this one.
We go to a lot of events
around the country,
and, uh, these cars were built
just for display cars.
They're, you know,
basically replicas
of what would have been raced
-in that era.

This car would have been 1965.

-Got a 392 Hemi.
The Hemi that's in this car
is an original 1957 block
and cylinder head,
so it's all original stuff.
-[Kevin] Sure.
-But we've modified
everything to race,
but it's basically
what they raced
back in the '60s.
So in its heyday,
what did these cars run?
-They ran a quarter mile.
-Okay.
Yeah. And these cars
would run like low sevens
at over 200 miles an hour.
-Wow.
-And they would run,
you know, about 96%
to 98% on nitro.
Today, we're gonna be
about 97% nitro,
so it'll be same as what
it was back in the day.
[Kevin] Wow, that's insane.
This one here, we've got it
hopped up pretty good,
it's pretty loud
and pretty crazy,
-so you'll dig it.
