The fragments scattered in the abdominal area

causing several internal lacerations,

a slight puncture to the diaphragm,

minimal damage to the sternum.

For the most part, you're... you've been very lucky.

Well, as I said, the b*llet shattered.

I was able to remove all of the fragments but one.

It's lodged very close to the spine,

too close to vital nerves for me to risk removal.

What does that mean?

It means the prognosis is not exact.

For the time being,

the remaining fragment appears to be harmless.
