[Laura] Keith is really getting very competitive.

And he's starting to become a major [bleep]head.

Laura's bad mommy.

Bradley is running around crazy.

Mayday, mayday.

What's the matter?

Well, it's a pretty basic dress.

[techno music playing]

[Heidi] There is no outfit on the dog.

Well, there is a little sash over here.

You made that? This is a bracelet.

Heidi, I spent a lot of time on that.

Now for the winner of this challenge.

Uli, congratulations.

You have immunity for the next challenge.

That means Katherine, you're out.

I'm sorry to hear that.

[Heidi] The winner of Project Runway will receive

a spread in ELLE magazine,

a mentorship with INC International Concepts Design,

a 2007 Saturn Sky Roadster,

and $100,000 to start their own line

furnished by TRESemmé Professional Hair Care.

This is Project Runway.

Fashion is my life.

I'm going to win.

[Heidi] Fifteen contestants.

I'm fabulously glamorous.

I've got mad skills.

But only one can be the winner.

I'm better than they are.

You gotta be kidding me.

For these 15 contestants,

Project Runway is the chance of a lifetime.

There's one more gone.

Do you think they'll make us all move in together?

I wouldn't mind.

[Angela] What's at stake for me is just, like, saving face

from the last runway show.

I feel like I have to prove myself again.

[Jeffrey] The fact that I haven't won a challenge

makes me feel like nobody understands me.

However, Keith, the judges love that guy.

His greatest attribute is that

he's a fine, fine bull[bleep]er.

[humming] You ready?

[Heidi] Yoo-hoo!

[laughing] Hi.

Are you guys ready for your next challenge?

For you next challenge,

you will be designing an outfit for INC

International Concepts.

[Angela] International Concepts is this huge brand

that is sold all over the United States.

So this is such an important challenge

[Alison] I was immediately thinking about

some ready-to-wear you know, like, jackets, pants, dresses.

Tim will fill you in on all the details in the workroom.

You've seen your models walk in three challenges.

So we're gonna mix it up a little bit.

And let you pick again.

Let's bring out the models.

Models, this is a competition for you as well.

The model paired with the winning designer

will get a fashion spread in ELLE magazine.

There are 13 models...

and 12 designers.

So one of you will be out.

Uli, you won the last challenge.

So you get to choose first.

I absolutely love working

with Lindsay, but I want to mix it up.

And I'm gonna go with Nazri.

I think Keith had an advantage,

having her the whole time.

So I just took her away from him.

I'm gonna pick your names out of this bag

to see who chooses next.

Kayne.

Since I know someone else is gonna snatch her up,

I'm gonna change and try Amanda.

Michael.

I'm gonna go with Katia this time.

Bonnie.

I'm gonna stick with Marilinda.

[Tim] Designers, as Heidi said,

you will be designing an outfit for INC.

I am delighted to introduce Mehmet Tangoren,

Vice President of Contemporary Sportswear for Macy's,

who will tell you about your next challenge.

Your next challenge will be

to design a three-piece look

for our INC brand at Macy's.

Let me give you a little bit of background

about the INC customer.

She's really ageless.

She's fashion forward.

She reads all the magazines

and wants the hot, new looks.

Now, just bear in mind,

INC is our largest brand nationally.

It is the biggest business for us, um, in ready-to-wear.

[Tim] There is more.

For this challenge,

you will be working in teams of three.

[Angela] When I found out it was going to be

another team challenge,

I was like, you know what?

I get a chance to redeem myself.

We want to put you inside a real-world industry experience.

So each of you will be pitching your ideas to Mehmet.

Mehmet, in turn, will be choosing

four team leaders who will move forward

with their designs.

[Robert] My experience with Barbie

is really good preparation for things like this,

because you have to be able to come up

with some pretty strong ideas

to go into a presentation with a big customer.

[Tim] You will have 30 minutes to sketch.

And we have a dossier on INC for each of you.

Mehmet, we'll be seeing you again in just a bit.

Designers, your half hour for sketching starts now.

Good luck.

[Keith] I've worked in the industry,

um, briefly, doing menswear.

So I think I understand what needs to be done

to win.

[Bonnie] I definitely feel like because I worked at Nike

that I have an edge above some of the other designers

who only have worked for themselves.

I'm used to designing for, like,

the masses and millions of people.

[Angela] I don't really sketch as part of my process,

so it's hard for me to do this particular challenge.

Hi, everybody.

Time's up.

Grab your sketches, come with me,

we're going off to Macy's.

What I have for you

is sort of a deep V, thigh-length knit dress.

I've based my design on what I think

-is the holy grail of shopping. -Okay.

The perfect pair of black pants.

I love the idea of skinny jeans.

The main piece is gonna be a coat.

I have a convertible tank top,

which you can pull down and use as a dress.

My three pieces would be

a lightweight tunic, the man-cut trouser,

with a jacket.

-Okay, terrific. -My idea was to use

the cardigan and kind of just modify it.

A great piece to start with would be, like, a trench coat.

Colors I was looking at...

The nut I thought was really nice.

I love color. I'm from the South.

I like the idea of doing some fun color combinations.

Now, the long cardigan, I was thinking of gray.

Gray, I feel, is very important.

I hear it's gonna take the place of brown.

I was inspired by the Empire State Building.

It was gray and black, and it was--

it was magnificent.

And so I would like to translate it

into this outfit.

[Mehmet] Thank you.

Designers, Mehmet has chosen the four team leaders.

Mehmet?

[Mehmet] The first team leader is...

Robert.

Robert, I chose you,

because I thought your sketches were outstanding.

The second team leader is Bonnie.

Bonnie, I thought you really understood the customer

who's shopping in our INC department.

Thank you.

The third team leader is Keith.

I liked your colors.

The whole presentation was very well done.

Thanks.

And the final team leader...

is Angela.

[Angela] I was so thrilled.

It meant the world to me to be chosen as the team leader.

[Mehmet] Angela, I loved your inspiration

in terms of the Empire State Building,

in terms of your color.

Thank you.

[Michael Knight] I was very surprised

that Mehmet picked Angela.

[Kayne] She hasn't really shown other people

her great talent yet.

-Mehmet, thank you so much. -Thank you.

We'll see you on the runway for the judging.

I'm gonna take the designers back to Parsons

to select their teams.

[Jeffrey] I was afraid that Angela might pick me.

'Cause almost more than having to make something I don't like,

um, I really hate making something

for someone I don't like.

[Heidi] Coming up on Project Runway...

That was stupid, what he did.

He said he was ruthless from the beginning.

It says in the contract,

"If you don't abide by these rules,

you are immediately dismissed from the show."

[suspenseful music playing]

Congratulations to our four team leaders.

You will be choosing your teammates

in the same order in which I choose you

from our velvet bag.

So first to choose will be...

Angela.

Okay.

[Jeffrey] I was praying to God I didn't get Angela.

Oh, my God.

I choose Michael.

[Michael Knight] When Angela picked me as a teammate,

I was kinda like, ahh, damn!

Second to choose, Robert.

I choose Kayne.

-Keith. -Alison.

[Alison] I think Keith picked me

because I have experience sewing.

And Keith doesn't know that much about construction.

And Bonnie.

Uli.

Angela, it's your turn again.

I choose Laura.

[Tim] And Robert?

I choose Vincent.

Keith?

Jeff.

I chose Alison and Jeff,

because I knew that they just needed direction once,

and I didn't have to say anything after that.

[Bradley] I was last.

I felt horrible,

like the kid left out at kickball.

And Bonnie.

Bradley!

I was concerned about Bradley,

because of the last challenge

and him being in such a rush at the end.

This time I hope that it will be okay.

Designers, we told you that this challenge

would be a real-world industry experience.

And accordingly,

the design of the winning team

will be put into production

and sold at Macy's largest stores nationwide.

-That's a big deal. -Wow.

[Tim] And very, very thrilling.

[Robert] I think that the idea of having

my clothes in a Macy's is kind of great,

because it reaches such a wide audience.

You have two days for this challenge.

Each team has a budget of $100.

Oh.

[Tim] You will have 15 minutes to caucus as a team,

and then we're going shopping.

So good luck, everybody.

Work hard. All right.

Good team. Right?

[cheering]

[Robert] It's like, I really want to do a deep V-neck,

and we make a fake dickey.

The dickey comes out and becomes

a tailored shirt.

Gimmicky? Love it? Hate it?

I wasn't terribly happy

about what he was choosing to make at all.

But he was team leader, and I went along for the ride.

My inspiration

was the sunrise over the Empire State Building.

You need to bring your color palette

into this jacket somehow,

and you need to do it really fast.

[Angela] I know that most of the designers in that room

think I'm coming from way out of left field.

I just really just wanna get past it with everybody,

and--and move on.

I think I wanna give everybody,

like, what they're best at.

You, right?

You do pants.

[Alison] Keith is a menswear designer.

But he designated pants to Jeffrey.

I want you to bring your expertise into this.

[Jeffrey] Keith gave me the pants.

And he wanted 'em super fitted,

which is, like, really hard to do.

And then he gave, like, a double-layered

turtleneck thing to Alison.

My expertise is not in jersey, so--

and you know what you're doing with jersey, right?

Yeah.

Keith gave us the most ambitious parts of the outfit.

Designers.

We're going shopping, okay?

[indistinct chatter]

And they're off.

We need this kind of color.

We couldn't find the material that we wanted,

or the one we wanted was, like, a gazillion dollars a yard.

I think that I like that one the best.

[screaming]

What do you think about this? It's graphic--

You know what? It's like the Empire State Building!

Can I totally hug you?

-Yeah. -[laughing]

[Laura] We were all happy

with Angela's fabric selection.

It was more appropriate for this particular challenge

than the full-tilt boogie Angela

quilted extravaganza of puff.

We overspent and we still need to buy thread and some notions.

So can you give us a little discount?

[Jeffrey] Keith made some serious efforts

to try to smooth-talk and manipulate some people.

Can you help us out a little bit more?

Okay.

I'm not sure how or why-- I couldn't put my finger on it,

but something about him doesn't seem right.

[Keith] Oh, thank God.

I always kinda break the rules

just, like, a tiny bit sometimes.

'Cause I think I'm right.

[Tim] Our time is up.

[upbeat music playing]

[Robert] Let's get crankin'.

I have a very random seam that you've just drawn for me.

Oh, that's not random at all.

[Angela] I'm making the pants,

Michael is making the top,

and Laura is making the jacket.

It doesn't really need a side seam.

Okay, we'll see. I mean, we can always change it.

I trust you, so...

[Bonnie] Get on those pants, Brad-lay.

Bradley's doing the pant.

I'm a little bit like, oh, my gosh, is he gonna get it done?

I just felt like Bonnie was hounding me

more than necessary.

Maybe Bonnie was doing that,

because she doesn't like my beard.

Maybe I should shave everything and just leave the mustache.

Maybe then she would've lightened up, you know?

[Keith] I need some advice.

-What's up? -Well, when you get a chance,

I just want you to see a curve.

You're like, "But I'm in the zone."

I'm in the zone. I can't help you.

All right, whatever. Don't--don't come over.

I can do this.

[fake sobbing] All by myself!

[Alison] Keith was feeling a little overwhelmed.

He's never done womenswear before.

He's starting from scratch in a lot of ways.

[Jeffrey] Alison actually corrected the armhole.

I don't understand what he was doing with it.

I'm so glad I just don't have to make

-three pieces all by myself. -I know.

[Keith] I'd be freaking out right now.

Just make it look pretty.

-[Alison] It will look pretty. -All right.

[Jeffrey] It was obvious to me how Keith

was being successful.

Keith was making very basic garments

and is a very charming person.

♪ Jeffrey ♪

-Opinions. -[Jeffrey] Okay.

[Kayne] Keith is very manipulating.

Jeffrey and Alison are actually doing all of his work.

It's really not fair for his teammates.

He wants to win, and he will do anything to win.

He's ruthless.

[dramatic music playing]

Hey. Hey, Vince?

-Vincent. -[Vincent] What?

I saw some pattern-making books in Keith's room.

[Vincent] That is insane.

I mean, you can't do [bleep] like that.

You can't take pattern books into this place.

When I arrived at Project Runway,

everything that was not allowed was taken.

Having a pattern making book gives you an advantage,

because if I had to completely do

a two-piece notch collar perfectly right now,

it would take me longer than if I just read up

on that chapter real quick.

Keith has kind of gotten

special recognition for his work.

And if he's using pattern making books

and how-to books,

then I want to be able to use those things.

He said he was ruthless from the beginning.

That was stupid, what he did.

I consulted Robert and said, you know,

what do you think about this?

There are some things going down that I just--

I want to know every detail and know the truth.

It has been explicitly clear what we are--

can and can't do.

-And how could you think-- -[Kayne] Yeah.

How could you think a pattern book--

Is acceptable to keep

-in your room? -[Kayne] Of all things!

[Robert] We weren't to have how-to books,

nor any kind of supplies

that could aid us or help us in the challenges,

because you want to have, like, an even playing field.

It says in the contract,

"If you don't abide by these rules,

you are immediately dismissed from the show."

-It's black and white to me. -Exactly.

[Robert] Go immediately to the producer.

This is not for us to hash out.

Exactly.

[Heidi] Coming up on Project Runway...

It's a competition with extreme odds.

[Keith] You're angry. Understood.

We have very clear rules on Project Runway.

We have very clear and concise rules

for our designers on Project Runway.

One of the absolute no-nos

is no fashion how-to books.

None of any kind.

Keith, hi, how are you?

Keith's possession of the books

was brought to the producers' attention by Kayne.

The producers in turn informed me.

And in a separate incident that happened off camera,

Keith left the production without permission

for several hours and used the Internet,

which were additional violations of the rules.

We have a couple of issues.

-One is the books. -Right.

-That are ill*gal. -Right.

You're incredibly talented.

And that's why these books make me sick.

For the designers on the show,

-it's definitely an issue. -[Keith] Right.

[Tim] And the other is...

your departure.

And accordingly...

we're gonna have to ask you to leave.

I didn't expect this.

[Tim] We need you to get your stuff together tonight.

-Okay. -And you'll leave tonight.

All right.

If you are in possession of these books

that are strictly against the rules of the show,

that infraction alone is enough for us to say,

"You have to go."

Um, I--I wanted to let you know that, uh,

I appreciate your feelings about the situation.

I feel that they're valid, and I apologize.

But do you not see, you brought this on yourself?

-[Keith] Yes. -[Robert] Yeah.

You're angry. Understood.

[laughing]

It's a competition with extreme odds.

You know, like...

My image has been tarnished forever.

I'm off the show.

And I'm going to be a laughing stock to my friends.

I felt bad.

I think that we're all under a lot of stress,

and we wind up sort of...

finding, um...

scapegoats sometimes.

Are you just leaving?

[Keith] Yep.

Tim just told me.

[Keith] The kind of sad part is that I never used those books

to give myself any unfair advantage.

I am disappointed.

I would've made it to the end, pretty sure.

If not, pretty far along. Um...

I had a lot of tricks up my sleeve still.

[dramatic music playing]

-[Tim] Good morning, everybody. -[designers greeting]

[Kayne] Good morning, Tim.

Can I ask you all to gather 'round, please?

I have an announcement to make,

and it's a very serious announcement.

Keith was found in possession

of several fashion how-to books.

Mere possession of the books

is completely against the rules of the show.

Project Runway is nothing without its integrity

and its seriousness of purpose.

And therefore, Keith had to leave.

So he's gone.

[Vincent] Keith should've not stepped out

of the bounds that way.

You know, that kind of reminded me

that this is a contest.

And you know what?

You do stupid stuff, you know,

you're gonna have to pay the price.

I know that this is undoubtedly shaking all of you up.

I'm hoping we can just carry on from here.

Keith--what an [bleep].

I'm glad to see him gone.

Jeffrey and Alison are going to have to carry on

and, frankly, make it work.

[Jeffrey] It is, without a doubt,

a tougher challenge

for me and Alison to pull off

with just the two of us.

I think Alison's a little shook by the whole thing.

I just don't really know how I feel right now.

This is, like, such a stressful competition.

And Keith is gone, and he's supposed to be our team leader.

It's pretty sad to think

how much he wanted this opportunity.

And he's not gonna be here anymore.

There's nothing else we can do.

We have to keep working.

[cheerful music playing]

[Bradley] I think I got it.

I just adjuster the back.

[designer] Sounds good to me.

Whew!

And if it's wrong, you're gonna go home, hunny bunny.

And if it's wrong, I'm bringing you down.

[laughter]

I'm a fish out of water. I'm a squid with no ocean.

but you'll be thrown into the pit.

It's a little bit flight attendant,

but I don't see anything else we can do.

It might just feel too Navy.

The white is so fresh.

Can we do something besides just leave it like that?

No, we can't.

Vincent kept disagreeing with me,

and I was like, "You're entitled to your wrong opinion."

But Kayne said it's American Airlines

if it's left white.

[Robert] Kayne has the taste of a love-starved hyena.

Best advice is just let it flow, let it go.

I...

I didn't say anything.

Angela actually loves little cutesy little details.

And she wanted to put some rosettes

on the jacket and the pants.

[Laura] She's in there making her grandma things.

[laughs]

No, it's not funny. It's not funny.

'Cause we obviously just can't stop her

from hanging herself.

Angela has a very wacky design aesthetic.

Oh, that's funny.

Yeah, well, you think it's funny now.

Wait till you're standing on the [bleep] runway.

Somehow the styling was just so off.

[Nina] I thought that was atrocious.

I thought that was bad taste.

Oh, my God.

I wanna put rosettes all over these pants.

Laura and I screamed like, "Aah, aah, aah, aah!

No rosettes!"

It would be tiny-- to put them on the edge here.

Like, tiny.

-It just makes them-- -[groaning]

You know?

What if these just become the buttons?

I can deal with that.

Love that.

The collaboration is going fantastically well.

Everybody is bringing something to the table.

It's just exactly how I thought a collaboration should work.

[upbeat music playing]

[Tim] There is the possibility

one of the judges could say the skirt and the blouse

are...

Flight attendant?

No, I don't see flight attendant.

But then there's that-- Is it kind of matronly?

I never felt comfortable with Robert's design.

I felt it was on the plain side.

But it's what he wanted to do.

Tomorrow it's gonna be a matter of taste.

How are you guys?

[Laura] Well, I was frightened

when I heard that she was over here making flowers.

And I ran out of the room screaming,

"Oh, my God, Angela's making granny circles again."

Turned out that we all really liked them as buttons.

-I think they really work. -[Laura] They work so well.

I know they work.

I can't believe you doubted me.

Tim didn't have anything negative to say about it.

I led him to the light.

Okay, what do you have left to do?

-[Laura] We're finished. -Yeah, we're gonna be finished.

Yeah, they're--ahem--

-I just pressed that. -[Tim] Yeah.

And all of a sudden, it has issues.

-It's looking a little diapery. -[Bradley] Yeah.

[Uli] I don't think it was Bradley's fault.

I think it was more Bonnie's fault,

because she had decided she wanted them really wide.

I had immunity, so I felt good all the way.

[Bradley] I pressed it, and it has this weird shape here now.

-Try steaming it. -Okay.

[Tim] So I know you're sick of this question.

But how are you two?

-We're hanging in there. -[Tim] Okay.

[Alison] We talked with Keith

through every single step of how we're gonna do this.

Oh, I like the belt loop. This is great.

[Jeffrey] Oh, thank you.

But you look like you're really far along.

And it's only the two of you. I mean, you're really--

in your own way, as a team,

you're significantly handicapped.

Yet you're pulling this off.

Yeah. We have to.

We're gonna finish the design.

We're gonna finish Keith's piece.

And we're gonna try to make it as beautiful as,

you know, the original idea.

[Kayne] Keith was asked to leave,

and even though he did break the rules, it's sad.

[Jeffrey] I'm feeling really, really good

about the work that me and Alison did.

We might actually win,

despite the absence of our leader.

[Tim] Good morning, everybody.

You will have a little less than two hours

to fit your models,

to send them to the L'Oreal Paris makeup room,

the TRESemmé Hair Salon,

and to prep them for the runway presentation.

You know, this is INC. It's our Macy's challenge.

Use the Macy's accessory wall.

You know what we say. Make it work.

I'm sending in the models.

Hey, you.

How are you?

Look at how much it opens up at the back.

The slit was a little bit risqué.

Like on the verge of skanky.

We had to tack it.

Unfortunately, it still opened

and flounced a little bit.

I was really worried about the pant,

'cause I just felt like it was

the least interesting piece

out of the three.

[model] So it was just the two of you?

-Yeah. -[gasps]

We just, like, took over the project

-and finished it. -[model] Wow.

The fact that we pulled it all together,

and it looked so great,

was, like, such a gift.

Amazing.

[Jeffrey] I don't think I could have asked

-for a better fit. -[Alison] I know.

[upbeat music playing]

[Michael Knight] Nothing too big.

Just nice little ponytail.

Michael kind of took over the styling of the outfit.

He wanted to make sure it stayed young and fresh.

Our outfit was great.

Angela was a good team leader.

Designers... models...

For this challenge,

we asked you to work in teams of three

to create a three-piece look for INC.

You had $100 and two days to put it together.

We started this challenge with 12 designers.

Unfortunately, Keith had to go.

And now we're left with 11.

Alison and Jeffrey,

this time you were without a team leader.

But still we asked you to make it work.

As all of you know, in fashion, one day you're in,

and the next day you're out.

And this challenge is no different.

Tonight, one of you must go.

Let's meet the judges.

Sitting in for Michael Kors we have world-renowned

fashion designer Vera Wang.

Hi, guys.

[designers] Hi.

Nina Garcia, fashion director

of ELLE magazine.

-Hello. -[designer] Hi, Nina.

And Mehmet Tangoren,

Vice President of Contemporary Sportswear

for Macy's.

Hi, everybody.

-[designer] Hi. -Hello.

We will score your designs as they come down the runway.

One of you will be named the winner.

And one of you will be out.

Let's start the show.

[upbeat music playing]

[Angela] Laura, Michael, and I worked really,

really well together.

It was a complete dream.

Both of their sewing skills are excellent,

and their taste is excellent.

It all just came together really, really well.

[Robert] I felt great about my design.

I thought it really looked chic

and put-together.

I felt really confident.

When she took off the coat,

I thought the outfit underneath

looked stellar.

The skirt was crazy on her.

That wasn't the intention.

I just wanted it to look sexy and sort of

a little flash of leg.

[upbeat music playing]

[Bonnie] When my garment was coming down the runway,

you know, I felt pretty good.

I thought it looked like a great outfit for that woman

who wants something that's a little bit fashionable,

but a little bit safe at the same time.

I felt pretty good about it.

[Alison] I really was proud that we were able to get

everything done.

Oh, this is my signature rosettes,

which I'm obsessed with right now.

I like the proportions.

I like the matte and shine

of the fabric, and the mixing.

It looks cool.

I love the pink with the masculine gray suiting.

[Angela] The color palette

was actually inspired by

sunrise over the Empire State Building

my second morning here.

We also even thought to line--

-Oh, yeah. ---the jacket too.

That's so great to see.

You didn't show us the secret surprise!

You know, for $100,

this looks very expensive to me.

Alison and Jeffrey.

And how did that go, to work without a leader?

Alison and I worked together, I thought,

under the circumstances and the pressure, really well.

Mehmet, how do you like this look?

I really love the pant.

I think the pant is dead on.

It's got the groovy factor, which I like.

I think the pants are very sexy.

[Vera] And the detail down at the bottom,

and the cut of the vent.

And there's some stretch in them,

for when you want a pant that's tight

but you can move in.

This look is very, very hip.

Youthful and active.

I would like to start with Bonnie's team.

We've never seen this open. What is underneath there?

It's a different look now.

[Bonnie] We ended up making the top reversible.

But it was hard to see what length it was

underneath the coat.

It just looked like a cowl turtle.

Who uses cowl neck?

[Vera] What are those pants made of?

It's a twill, uh, wool crepe.

They look cheap, no?

Can I see them? Bonnie.

I hate the fabric of the pants.

I just think it's dowdy.

I don't see anything hip here.

I was thinking

it was a little bit more classic lines.

that, you know, could fit

a broader consumer as far as styling.

I think it'd be for an older customer--

[Nina] But even if you're an older customer,

I don't think you wanna look older.

They don't want to look like they come

straight out of, like, the '70s.

Bradley, what was your role?

I did the pants.

How did you feel about this outfit?

I think that--

that what we made, um...

is very close to the sketch.

[Vera] I guess maybe it doesn't feel as fun

as I might have expected of the three of you.

[Heidi] Robert.

Did you guys have the same idea

that it was gonna be for an older customer?

Um, I think I was thinking of a little bit

more sophisticated, classic customer.

[Heidi] To me, I don't understand

how this fits together.

You know, it's sort of like a sportier jacket.

And then I see I don't know what underneath.

I don't see those two pieces together.

I agree.

[Heidi] Can we take the jacket off?

Can you just turn around for one second?

It's always very tricky with narrow skirts

to have back slits.

You're up to her fanny.

[Nina] There's three of you.

Didn't you guys notice this?

Kayne and Vincent,

you're very quiet.

What do you have to say?

[Vincent] Robert is the team leader,

and he was passionate about this.

And, uh, I was only too happy to help him.

[Heidi] And, Kayne, you thought the same thing?

Her vibe was good.

I thought it was fashion right.

She understood all the trends--

the shorter jackets, the longer tops.

[Nina] I also like the fact that you can buy the whole look

if you want to,

but you can buy the jacket by itself.

They understood it was about fashion.

[Heidi] And it looks expensive.

What did you like about Jeffrey and Alison's?

They had a nice synergy, the two of them together.

The pant was amazing, and it fit well.

[Nina] It looks cool, it looks modern.

[Vera] I think it was hard when they lost Keith.

-Because it wasn't their vision. -Right.

They still did a good job, though.

They did.

Okay, let's move on to the worst two teams.

What do we think about Bonnie's team?

I call them Triple L.Y.--

last year's last year's last year.

[Heidi] I would have understood if you would have said,

"Okay, we're doing a '70s vibe."

-Right. -How do you fit that in

with the rest of your things?

It needed a twist. It needed some attitude.

It needed their personal style.

[Nina] I couldn't get past

the cowl neck and the brown pants.

That was it.

What do we think about Robert's team?

They missed.

The jacket missed. It wasn't the right proportion.

[Vera] She had pumps on with a short skirt.

And then the heavy parka.

It just seemed discombobulated.

-Looked cheap. -They didn't fit together

at all, those two pieces.

-[Vera] No. -It was boring.

[Heidi] Okay, we made our decision.
