That incorporates three outdated trends.

Sometimes it's better not to fight about it

And to go with it.

You know, I don't believe that.

Her way is the only way, and that's it.

This odd relationship that you guys had shows.

I don't really feel it's cohesive.

Chris, you're out.

Project runway is the chance of a lifetime.

It just really sucks that he's not here.

A couple days ago, I had what I thought

Was, like, a pimple on the inside of my nose,

And it's getting progressively worse.

I have had skin staph infections twice before

And hopefully that's not what it is,

But I'm kind of concerned.

Wearing really tremendous clothing

That's just hanging on them.

[Steven] I was thinking, oh,

Maybe these are people's sisters,

Or mothers, or something like that,

And then realized, wait,

I don't know any of these women.

[Heidi] designers,

As you can see, you have new models

For this challenge,

And I'm sure that you've noticed

That their clothes don't fit.

And that's because each of these women

Have recently lost

A significant amount of weight.

The clothes that they are wearing

Were their favorite outfits

Before their transformation.

Let's meet them.

My name is laura, and I've lost 136 pounds.

Oh, my god.

Hi, my name is silvia, and I've lost 58 pounds.

Hi, my name is erica, and I've lost 60 pounds,

Hi, my name is tracy, and I've lost 102 pounds.

Hi, my name is elyse, and I've lost 48 pounds.

Hi, my name is lisa, and I've lost 56 pounds.

Hi, my name is penny, and I've lost 65 pounds.

I'm kerry, and I lost 45 pounds.

I'm ory, and I've lost 139 pounds.

And make it into something where she feels sexy

And beautiful.

This is what makes me excited about being part of fashion.

[Christian] I was given kerry,

And I said, "what do you like?"

And she said, "I don't like print.

"I don't like color.

"I would never wear a dress.

"I would never wear a skirt.

"I don't like to show my arms,

And I wear black every day and a pair of jeans."

So I got very scared, and I was like,

Okay...because she doesn't like anything.

I think--i think we'll be fine.

I'll do it.

It's wild, the amount of stuff there is,

So there's the zipper, all of the buttons,

And the buttons on the--

Which is a considerable challenge

When you have ten yards of white polyester satin

That's sequined,

And beaded,

And covered in acetate lace.

So I found the exact same color fabric

With which I was going to make a dress.

Should I go that way, sir?

I think you have the biggest challenge.

I'm going to end up using

The wedding dress fabric more as a trim.

I ended up selecting a stretch black cotton fabric

Because the fabric from the wedding dress is so awful.

[Tim] so you're going black?

I'm going black and white.

I actually got the idea out of doing a long dress

That had a white collar to it,

In order to incorporate the wedding dress.

[Tim] all right, time is up.

[Jack] I had a clear vision of what I wanted to do with silvia,

But at this point, my lip is really starting to be an issue.

And I'm afraid I'll have to leave

[Sweet p] jack definitely looks a little swollen.

It's kind of scary, you know.

So basically what's going on

Is I am almost, you know, I'm 95% sure

I have a mrsa in my face again.

[Jack] for me, it is important for people to know

That I've been hiv-positive for 17 years,

But my immune system's not suppressed at all,

So it wasn't about that.

Anyone can get what I got.

It's a dangerous bacteria.

I have lost and gained so much weight.

It's just-- I think at one point,

I added it up, and it's 1,500 pounds.

There's plenty of fabric in here.

We're gonna get this to fit you perfectly.

It's so fun. I think it's so fun.

I can't believe I put on my pants upside-down.

These lines here, like, bring the eye really in.

[Kit] I had elastic slacks

So I'm designing a dress that she could wear

To go out with her friends dancing.

They kind of, like, almost fit me.

[Christian] I knew I wanted to do a very fitted shirt.

And I said, why don't we just take your denim in, you know,

Make it your size--

She's like a 2/4 now--

And crop them a little bit.

Oh, it's so cute.

And everyone's kind of just looking at her

Like, oh, my god, you look amazing.

So for the first time, I felt so confident

That I actually could win a competition.

You're not used to wearing tight pants, are you?

[Christian] jillian, did you even use her shirt?

No.

[Jillian] I just matched it exactly.

What's the black from?

From the pants.

I think it was very evident

That I didn't use the materials that I was given.

The judges probably will pick on that.

But I think that, ultimately,

They would respect the fact

That I have a great-looking dress on her.

I like it.

I think I'm happy with it.

[Christian] it's so perfect.

I'm really confident.

I think my outfit's one of the best.

I really do.

[Chris] when I put the sash on,

I was happy that it looked, you know, okay

Chris's garment was pure costume, 100%.

Steven's was god-awful hideous.

About the outfit,

But she liked it quite a bit.

I want it to be like a second skin.

[Sweet pea] I had this drab, olive gray polyester,

Which is pretty hideous,

And I made a cute halter dress,

And it looks really cool now.

[Jillian] my model was so cute.

She looked beautiful.

I transformed this woman,

And I thought she looked very elegant.

[Ricky] when I see penny walk down the runway,

I feel great because I had a part

In making her look like that.

It's a moment she'll never forget,

And it's just awesome.

[Chris] at least I had done something

In that super crazy, limited amount of time.

I was happy that my outfit for silvia

Looked okay compared to everything else.

[Christian] kerry actually is kind of a fierce walker.

I think even though my whole look was commercial,

I think up there, it had the most direction of who I am.

[Victorya] I had a floor-length velvet tank dress,

And I turned it into a cute c*ck dress

To show off all of the work that she's put into

Achieving this amazing figure that she has now.

[Elisa] I'm so excited to see tracy on the runway.

She has a bit of a wild side

That she would like to show.

I like working with layers,

And I like the layer that, underneath this new body,

She also has an increased sexuality.

[Kit] I think that the dress was modern

Because it was bright, it was short,

And it was really girly.

But I got nervous that it wasn't fashion-forward enough

For the judges.

[Kevin] elyse walks down the runway,

Everyone is like, whoa!

She owned the runway, she owned the look.

I had a canary yellow blazer,

And I made her look like, just,

One of charlie's angels.

[Steven] I'm not confident in the dress

Only because it feels like

It all got slapped together with glue

And a prayer.

[Rami] lisa walked out, and there was a whole side of her

That I wasn't expecting to come out,

And I think she felt very confident

In that outfit.

[Heidi] we've scored your designs.

I feel just incredible in it.

I think it's a great makeover.

We've gotta, like, be careful with the legging.

I know. I was thinking that.

Everyone owns a pair,

So you kind of ran out of steam

From an ingenuity perspective,

But it fits her really well,

And I think the transformation

Is pretty great.

So she has a very active day.

So I was trying to think, like,

A day trousseau for tracy.

How do you feel in it, tracy?

I feel wonderful in it.

It--to me, it just doesn't look like you.

I would have picked something

More classic on you.

[Patrick] you have to always be careful

When you're making something for someone

That you don't try

To force some of your ideas

Onto them.

I don't know about chopping someone up

Into so many different steps unless someone is



I mean, you want to really

Show off that transformation

To its best,

And I don't know if you have

In that outfit.

I agree with all of them here.

It's all very you,

But it's not very tracy.

I would like to continue with jillian.

This is not the red blouse

That she was standing here with, right?

This is what you bought with the $10?

Yes.

So the only thing that you've used

Is the black from the pants

That she had on, right?

Yes, that's the piping.

This is a sexy dress that

A man is gonna look and say, wow.

She looks great in that dress.

And other women aren't thinking, you know,

She's a hoochie mama.

You captured the sexy part.

And I love the idea of the hint

Of a corset in there.

And made fabulous new clothes out of them.

That dress was impeccable, perfect.

And she didn't really use the fabrics.

No, she just made a beautiful dress.
