I'm so excited to be here.

To tell you about your challenge.

-Brooke? -Okay. Thank you.

Your challenge is to design a look

For my character wendy healy

On the show lipstick jungle.

It's going to be a departure from last year.

Wendy is a very high-powered studio executive.

She's also a mother of two.

She's married to a musician,

And they've lived this sort of great bohemian life,

And then she sort of worked her way up

And is now running an entire studio.



Of wendy healy's look from season one.

Her character's the wife of a musician,

And, like, I have a lot of friends

In that situation back home, so I'm stoked.

The real challenge is trying to design a look

That will carry her from day to night.

She needs to be able to be in the boardroom,

Be in the office,

And then still be at a very glamorous event

In the evening.

And there's one more thing.

You will be working

In teams of two.

[Dramatic note]

Oh, no.

I know that some of the designers

Don't really know what they're doing,

So i-i got worried.



After which you will be pitching your concepts to brooke

Who, in turn, will select

Six designers to move forward with their designs.

Coming out of this last olympic challenge,

I feel like I really need to listen

To what the challenge calls for.

It's gotta be sexy, and it's gotta be simple.

It's gonna be innovative.

She can lower or drop the sleeve.

Whether she's going out or she's got a day in the office.

But yet, it's gonna make her look nice and leggy and sexy.

Bohemian to me is maybe animal prints with brown,

So I automatically thought a good leopard print.

I wanna win the challenge really badly.

I think I'm extremely talented.

Coming from a middle eastern background,

My mom being moroccan and my father israeli,

Definitely allows me to see

How varied women can be in different cultures.

And I would be honored to have my design chosen.

All right, designers, time is up.

And the first person to pitch is suede.

So what I've created is a jacket

With a nice pointed collar, very simple.

One thing I might adjust

Is that this be a little less full.

Yeah, I'm not gonna make you 1800s.

Don't worry about it. It'll definitely be modern.

I love leopard print.

I was thinking it could possibly be

Just this top half with a jacket.

It's the jungle. It's the jungle.

It's the jungle!

-This is a good neck for me. -Yeah, the boat neck.

It's just a good balance

For the friends that I have that I carry with me

Right around here all the time.

[Both laughing]

At work she can wear pants with it and belt it.

I do love the pants.

I didn't wanna give her another dress.

Like I wanted to kind of give her something

A little bit different, like maybe a bermuda short.

You know, it's not a bad idea.

I was thinking about

A little bit of a ruffled chiffon organza top.

I love the mixture of textures there.

Is this slightly, uh, ruffled, or--

Yeah, it's actually like

Layers of fringe that I would create.

That's kinda my thing.

I definitely have worked with

Different body types and whatnot, so...

No one's as tall and has, you know,

Such great legs as you do, but...

Flattery will get you everywhere!

Over the dress, it would be a corset.

Really sexy,

Just show the body off a little bit.

It's--she's still gotta go to work in this.

The look I went for was a shirt,

Preferably like an orange or a lime green

With some bead work.

That's a perfect palette, I think.

The top is a tuxedo-inspired shirt.

Great.

And then you take the jacket off, wow--

Then there's just no stopping me.

Yeah, yeah. There you go.

It's basically going to be

Something that's gonna be really, really comfortable,

But it's gonna look impeccable.

I want this for my real life.

Forget wendy.

So since you are like a businesswoman,

I was thinking we'd keep it in, like, khakis, camels.

And with slight pops of color.

So if you choose me, you will love it when you see it

And the fourth designer is kelli.

But I think we do have to be a little bit careful

With the print, since the play on the words lipstick jungle--

We don't want it to be too obvious.

You were the only person that came in with pants.

And it was the perfect shape for me.

And the final designer...

I'm a little scared...

Everybody gets scared.

But I think it's important to make it something different

I'm confident, and I think it's a brilliant idea,

Like I'm not gonna do just another dress.

The design you're working on?

No, it's not my personal taste.

Keith created a design

That's this flowy chiffon skirt

Which I've never done before,

And I usually do structured things.



Ugh. Better not be.

And I'm sure it has to do with the lifestyle

I guess I was raised in.

When I was growing up,

My parents weren't really around too often,

And I pretty much raised myself.

But my grandma kept me on track.

She's handicapped

And really hasn't got to enjoy a lot of my work.

So having the accessibility

Of just being able to flip on lipstick jungle

And see something of mine,

I'm sure she'd be really proud.

What's the problem?

I'm just really nervous about cutting this.

Why?

I mean, I know you always cut things

Without even doing this.

That's why I wanted you to see it before I do anything.



Which is the most elaborate piece of the entire garment,

And we don't have enough [bleep] fabric.

And I'm not comfortable doing it,

But we don't have time to re-drape it, so...

Like you can always take this...

Take it from here and put it here.

Against my judgment, I cut this fabric out,

And I go and I start sewing it.



I don't know what you want me to say, terri.

I told you, I'm really uncomfortable.

I don't want it to become about me doing everything,

But every time I look at suede's face,

It just has a look of concern, and it is stressing me out.

Go. Just finish it.

I don't know what he's packing, ba*ls or vajayjay.

But he needs to work that out,

I was thinking more of like

A victorian, like, tight fitted part right here.

Both of my parents are divorced and remarried,

I think that's why I'm so crazy, 'cause I get it from them.

This is really kind of south beachy cheesy.

You wanna make a clean silhouette.

You know, like a cleaner, chicer look.

Keith knows that I'm opinionated,

So I told him to redo it.

So the bottom has a total nice curve, too, jerell.

It's got a pretty curve. It curves up on the hip.

That does capture the bohemian essence,

But it's still wearable to work.

It's really pretty, the color is beautiful.

It looks great on my model.



From what it was originally.

So I think what ultimately came out

Was perfect.



It's a good silhouette,

And I feel like it does stand out,

But that could be good or bad.



But it definitely turned from a suit to a two-piece ensemble.



It's smart, it's sophisticated, it's fun.

It's got a little bit of an edge to it.

It looks amazing, and brooke actually

Looks over at me and kind of gives me this smiley like,

"Yay, it's right" thing, which I wasn't expecting.



I am overwhelmed.

I'm so proud of me and kenley and what we created.

It looks clean and beautiful.



For her character wendy.

I wouldn't have done anything differently.



If the judges don't like it, then I can't help it.

But I am happy.



It could be worn for day.

It could be worn for evening.

And I think brooke is gonna feel very confident

Wearing that on lipstick jungle.



Everything fits great.

It's tailored. It's clean.

And it's very boho-chic.



It fits the description of what she was looking for.

It's a pretty solid look.

Of all the things that you shared with us, ms. Shields,

And it had to be something

That really could translate from like the boardroom

To some swank nightclub.

I do think the mixture and textures

Is perfect for the day into night.

I'm concerned about the belt,

Only because it makes it feel like there's a lot going on.



I don't mind the belt at all.

I think it's cool.

When it came out, I was like--boom.



The silhouette is flirty and feminine

And sexy without being cheap.

It's chic, and it's good-looking.

I did the jacket,

And daniel did the belt and the skirt.

We both worked on the bustier together.

We figured a kind of sexy suit would be ideal,

And she could just easily take it off at night.

The shape of it, I feel, is the

Truly unfortunate part.

It just looks so much cheaper than I thought it could look.

Can I see what's going on

Underneath it?

I mean, hello!

Slutty, slutty, slutty.



Because you can't get taste if you don't have it.

I should have edited a bit more, and--

And honestly, daniel should have said something.

The best part of having a team

Is to have another set of eyes.

I won the first challenge. I have not been in the bottom.

So I would have to choose daniel.

My taste is impeccable.

I have very high-end taste.

That's no question about that.

Kenley, why do you think that's so funny?

She's starting to implement more of her bohemian style.

It's a bit too casual

And not sophisticated enough.

I mean, I look down the road,

And I can see your character.

She's not gonna be constantly, like,

Restricted.

But I don't think you listened

And leanne, I am very surprised that you allowed this--

She looks like a woman that didn't have a mirror.

Yes, and it was really dark,

And she just grabbed things, put it on...

I mean, you guys all know that I'm a little crazier

I thought that jerell and stella

Did a really terrific job.



I think that they hit it right with the shape

More than anything.

For me, that was my favorite.

It was impeccable, you know,

And they gave the character, I think, a sense of power,

But at the same time, it was very feminine.

Keith and kenley.

It just looked unique

And I have not seen anything like that before.

It seemed inspired, but it just seemed classy.





And he really delivered something

That was for lipstick jungle

And that was appropriate for the character.

All right, let's move on to

The designers that we weren't so fond of.

How about daniel and kelli?



Really just wanted to show what kelli likes.



We could get away with an amped-up type of a top

And kept the classiness.

But it just didn't get ex*cuted.

I question both of their taste levels

But particularly her,

Because she actually was the leader of this...

But then daniel

Has not really brought a lot to the table

On this challenge or on the other challenges.
