[Shaggy] That's my pal!
Scooby-Dooby-Doo!
[thunder crashes]
- [gasps] It's you! - Yes, Miss Jane.
The Phantom of Dixie.
Don't touch me!
This time you will not escape.
Help! Save me!
Oh, I'll save you, Scooby-Dee.
No, Scooby-Dum, come back.
I'll stop him.
[splash]
We saved her. We...
Duh... you're no Phantom.
Cut! Cut!
Get those crazy hounds off the set.
Like, they were only acting, Scooby-Dum.
You know cousin Dee's an actress.
Ohh, acting.
I forgot.
My hero. You would've saved me.
[chuckles]
I would've saved you too.
I know you would, Scooby-Doo.
[chuckles]
OK, everybody. That's it for tonight.
Enjoying your visit to the set?
We sure are, Mr. Mogul. Your picture looks great.
Well, glad to hear it.
My studio has high hopes for this remake.
Remake?
The original Phantom of Dixie
was a silent movie many years ago.
And it made a great star of Milo Booth who played the Phantom.
Well, if this movie is gonna be half as spooky as that phantom
I'm gonna watch it with my eyes shut.
- [laughs] - Yeah, me too.
I'm gonna take my makeup off, I'll be right back.
What's this?
[gasps]
[Fred] Scooby-Dee: Quit this film
or it will by your last.
I will never allow a remake of my finest picture.
Signed, the Phantom Milo Booth.
[all] Milo Booth?!
But that's impossible. Milo's been dead for 20 years.
Let's see. If he... If he left this note
and he's been dead for 20 years,
that can only mean one thing.
[gulps] A ghost.
You had to say that.
Scooby-Dee, I'm placing you
under 24 hour guard.
I'll guard you, Scooby-Dee.
Me too.
Y'all are so nice.
This is Jim Moss, our studio chief.
- Hi. - And Rod Kennedy,
the dog trainer. Better known as Scooby-Dee's dramatic coach.
- Hi, kids. - Dramatic coach? Hmm.
I want Scooby-Dee guarded every second on the train trip
back to the west coast tonight.
Yes, Mr. Mogul.
We'll come along to help keep an eye
on Scooby-Dee.
And help solve this mystery for you.
Oh, boy. Here we go again.
You should be pretty safe here, Scooby-Dee,
in your own private car.
We'll pull out in a few minutes.
If anything goes wrong, we'll be in our compartments up front.
- Right, Mr. Moss. - See you kids in the morning.
Zoinks! Come here. Look at this.
They're loading a coffin aboard the baggage car.
- [gulps] - Coffin, huh?
Coffin!
Like, maybe it's the Phantom.
That's ridiculous.
[Shaggy] Yeah, well, that's exactly
who'd go traveling in a coffin.
Somebody who's already dead.
Relax, Shag. It's probably one of those props for the picture.
- [Shaggy] Props? - Sure, hon.
It's just a prop. [giggles]
Ohh, prop. [laughs]
[train horn blaring]
[sinister laughter]
Where are Shaggy and the Scooby cousins?
They couldn't wait for dinner. They're out in the kitchen
fixing themselves sandwiches.
And a little sauerkraut topped with whipped cream
and a cherry.
How's that?
Thanks.
Scooby-Doo!
Oh, boy. That's what I get for watching the wrong Scooby.
A little mozzarella, peanut butter,
ice cream, Phantom...
[hysterical laughter] Zoinks!
Look, the Phantom!
[growls]
[growling]
We gotta hide!
Yeah, hide.
There's only one person who could be under there.
- Right. - Zoinks! He's got us.
Relax. It's only us.
What happened?
- We saw him. - Yeah. We saw him.
[growling]
You saw the Phantom?
I declare!
I saw him too. I almost had him but he got away.
Scooby-Dee, I think you'd be safer in your own private car.
Good idea.
You and Daphne take her there
while I check the cars in back.
The rest of you can check the baggage car up front.
The baggage car? That's where they put the coffin.
- [grunts] - How trembling.
People don't get out of a coffin... very often.
Looks like there's nobody here.
Do you have to say "no body"?
- Look. - [gulps]
- The coffin. - [grunting from coffin]
[Scooby-Doo] Uh-oh. [Shaggy] Zoinks! What's that?
Oh. A bony hand.
Howdy, Mr. Bony Hand.
Bony hand?
[groaning]
- It's the conductor. - Like, what happened?
I don't know exactly.
I was sitting here reading the paper and suddenly
this terrible face rose up from the coffin.
The Phantom!
And that's the last thing I remember.
- Are you OK? - Yes. I'm all right.
We better look around for clues.
Clues? Dum-dum-dum-dum!
[sniffing]
A clue.
Clue? Oh, boy.
- [snarling] - [yelling]
Nice going, fellas. It's only a pet cat.
Pet cat? [giggles]
[crash]
The coffin! [yells]
Look here, Shag. I found a clue.
This mud. There's some in the coffin too.
Of course. It's from his grave, that's all.
What am I saying?
[Velma] Come on, let's tell Fred and the others.
[Fred] You can relax now, Scooby-Dee.
Yeah, the Phantom wouldn't dare come in here.
[sinister laugh]
[maniacal laughter]
- Oh, no! - The Phantom!
Now I have you at last.
Hey, Fred. We found a clue.
Zoinks! Like, you found a better one.
- [Scooby-Doo] Yeah. - [growls]
- [Scooby-Doo] Help! - [Fred] I'll get him!
Turn on the light!
Like, what's happening in here?
It is Milo Booth!
[growls]
[Fred] Don't let him escape!
[Shaggy] Yow! He's got me.
- [Scooby-Doo] I got him! - [Scooby-Dum] I got him!
Like, it's me, you guys!
Oh.
Yow!
[chuckling]
[laughs]
And when we turned the lights back on
the Phantom had disappeared.
He's sure to try for Scooby-Dee again.
I've got an idea.
We'll disguise Scooby-Doo to look like Scooby-Dee.
And then the Phantom will go after him.
- Good idea. - Hmm?
Good? Huh-uh.
You'll do it for Scooby-Dee, won't you Scoob?
Oh, my hero.
Well, OK.
What if the Phantom grabs me?
Like, don't worry, Scoob,
you'll think of something.
Uh-oh.
Ribbon, eye-lashes, perfume.
[Scooby-Doo] Perfume?
Hey, Scoob, you're gorgeous.
[laughs]
Yeah. [laughs]
Yuck.
While Scooby-Doo stays here,
we'll hide Dee in pullman coach up forward
with Shaggy guarding her.
[snoring]
Shaggy, I'm thirsty.
Oh, the poor lil' old thing couldn't stay awake.
I'll just get some water myself.
Wake up, Shag!
You're sleeping on duty.
Huh? Huh? What?
We came back to check on Scooby-Dee.
Oh, she's all right. She's in here...
Hey! Like, she's gone!
- Uh-oh. - Come on. We better find her.
Scooby-Dee! Where are you?
- [crunch] - Ow!
Give me my teeth.
Scooby-Dee, is that your beautiful face I see?
Eek!
To you too! [chuckles]
And stay out!
You look up there and I'll look down here.
OK.
[man] Hey, watch out!
[man 2] Get out! [man 3] Beat it!
[all] Quiet!
[both] Shhh.
- The Phantom! - [sinister laugh]
- Hello, deary. - [gasps]
Why, you're me! [whines]
Get going.
[laughs]
Gotcha!
Look. Here comes Scooby-Dee.
[Shaggy] Hey, like, she's OK.
Dee, I think you'll be safer back in your own car.
- Yeah. - Whatever y'all say.
[Phantom laughs]
Look, we're passing through that little town
that's named for Milo Booth,
Boothville.
- Uh-oh. - Relax, Scooby.
We're not supposed to make a stop here.
Well, then, like, why are we slowing down?
Shaggy's right. We are slowing down.
This is weird.
Somebody uncoupled our car
and the train's pulling off without us.
- Huh? - [Shaggy] Zoink!
You think that's weird, look.
[both] The Phantom!
[Daphne] Where is he going?
Where else? Back to his grave.
Listen, g*ng. We better check out Boothville
if we're gonna solve this mystery.
And our first stop will be...
Don't tell me, don't tell me, the graveyard.
- [gulps] - My gracious.
Gulp and my gracious.
Here we are, g*ng. The Boothville cemetery.
Ohh. Sure is creepy.
We'd better split up to look for the Booth mausoleum.
Now, Shaggy, you take the dogs and go that way
and we'll go this way.
And keep your eyes open for any clues.
Clues? Dum-dum-dum-dum!
Uh-oh.
The Phantom.
[chirping]
[chuckles]
Look, the Phantom's a bug.
That's ridiculous, Scooby-Dum.
Now let's find that mausoleum.
[sinister laugh]
Here it is. The Booth family mausoleum.
[Daphne] And look, there's a key in the lock.
That's strange.
- [door creaks] - [gasps]
Just bats, Daphne. Come on.
More mud.
Like we saw in the baggage car near the casket.
It's fresh. Somebody or something
has been moving around in here.
And look there!
[Fred] Milo Booth's crypt. Come on.
Let's see what's inside.
[Velma] Jenkies! It's empty!
Oh, wow.
It looks like Milo Booth did come back from the dead.
[sinister laugh]
Zoinks! I heard something in that bush.
Maybe it's the Phantom!
Scoob, you better check it out.
Me? Huh-uh.
Well, I'd give you a Scooby snack but I'm all out.
Would you do it for a Scooby-Dee kiss, huh?
Oh, boy! You bet! Sure.
Kiss? Yuck.
You don't kiss like Scooby-Dee.
No? Let me try.
She sure doesn't kiss like Scooby-Dee.
That's 'cause she's not Scooby-Dee
We gotta find the others and tell 'em.
The real Scooby-Dee's been dog-napped.
[Velma] Jenkies. So the Phantom did get Scooby-Dee.
And tricked us with that phony-Dee.
- Yeah. - [Daphne] But why did he lure us
here to Boothville?
Zoinks! What's that?!
Now that you know the truth,
you will never get out!
It's the Phantom!
Like, if we don't get outta here,
that's what we're gonna be!
Oh! Phantoms!
Relax, you two.
- Look! - A loose stone.
Maybe we can work it free and climb out of this creepy tomb.
I can't reach it.
We need one more person.
Duh, here I come.
[crashing]
Uh-oh.
[crash]
[Shaggy] Hey! Like, Scooby-Dum opened the door.
I did?
Yeah, I did. How about that.
[chuckles]
[Fred] Let's head for town.
Maybe we'll find something to lead us to Scooby-Dee
and solve this mystery.
Hey, like, look. There's a fair in town
and everybody's invited to the Milo Booth Film Museum.
Milo Booth? Sounds like a good place to start checking.
[Fred] That's it. The Booth Film Museum.
Well, let's go inside.
Must we?
There's a film in the projector.
Let's see what it is.
It's an old newsreel.
You know, there's something different about him.
[Velma] There sure is. The Milo Booth we saw
didn't wear any glasses.
I think we've got our mystery solved.
- We do? - And there's another clue.
The Phantom's been here with the fake Scooby-Dee.
He was probably after that film.
He can't be far away. Let's go!
Like, look.
[Daphne] It's the fake Scooby-Dee.
[Fred] Get her!
[growls]
Zoinks! Like, it's him!
And there's Scooby-Dee!
Yeah! Howdy-doo, Dee!
Help! Save me!
After him!
[all yelling]
Come on! Don't lose him!
[Scooby-Doo] There he goes!
[growls]
Like, I'll get him this time!
- Yikes! - [crash]
- Yikes. - [laughs]
There he goes! After him!
Like, let's head him off!
Like, here he comes.
- Ready? - [Scooby-Doo] Ready.
My heroes!
- [Scooby-Doo] Ohhh! - [splash]
- Shaggy! - We rescued Scooby-Dee.
- [Daphne] Great! - And here's our plan
to capture the Phantom.
[taunting] Nya-nya-nya-nya-nya! We got Scooby-Dee!
[growls]
He fell for it!
[sinister laugh]
The plan's working.
Yeah. [chuckles]
- [Fred] Gotcha! - [growls]
[growling loudly]
[growling stops]
My hero!
You too, cousin Dum.
Yahoo!
[chuckling]
Now, let's see who he really is!
[Shaggy] It's the detective, Jim Moss!
Ah!
She's a faker too.
[Fred] Moss planned to get rich by making Scooby-Dee movies
starring the fake Scooby-Dee who would obey only him.
He used the Phantom story so no one would be suspicious
when the supposedly frightened Dee
stopped obeying her dramatic coach
and would only obey him.
But why did he sidetrack our train car here in Boothville.
That was so we'd all see the Phantom leaving the train
and figure he really had risen from the grave.
But he also made some mistakes, Captain.
The mud from the casket on the train didn't match
the graveyard mud, which told us he hadn't come from the grave.
[grunts]
His next mistake was leaving that mausoleum key
for us to find.
[Shaggy] Like, it was brand new.
Which meant somebody wanted us to get inside
to see that empty coffin.
But what did he do with real Milo Booth's body?
[Velma] Nothing. He just switched the nameplate
- to an empty coffin. - Huh?
Like this.
Ohh. [chuckles]
Come on, everybody. We've gotta get Scooby-Dee
back to Hollywood.
Whoa! Like, imagine us at the movie awards.
Yeah. Imagine that.
Here comes the big moment. Keep your fingers crossed.
Fingers crossed?
[man] For outstanding performance
by an actress in a canine role, the winner is,
Miss Scooby-Dee.
[applause and cheering]
Congratulations, Scooby-Dee.
And here's your award, the Golden Rover.
Thank you all, but I wouldn't be here at all tonight
if it weren't for my hero cousins,
Scooby-Doo and Scooby-Dum.
[laughing]
Scooby-Dooby-Dum!
[chuckles]
Scooby-Dooby-Doo!
[laughs]
