[Shaggy] That's my pal!

Scooby-Dooby-Doo!

[dinging]

[thunder crashes]

Oh, come now, Professor Von Klamp,

you expect us to believe

you've actually invented a time machine?

[laughter]

Laugh, fools,

but you won't laugh after tonight's demonstration.

Then you will know that I am the greatest inventor in the world!

What is the delay?

Get my time machine loaded aboard!

OK. Take it away.

Watch it, be careful!

[crash]

[growling]

Yay! A monster!

[buzzing]

What was that, Professor?

It was nothing, nothing at all.

Now, please, bring my time machine aboard,

carefully!

[thunder crashes]

I still can't believe it, a three week cruise

in the South Seas with all expenses paid.

Thanks to Shaggy and Scooby winning that contest.

[slurps]

Yeah. [laughs]

Zoinks. Take it easy on the bumps, Fred.

Yeah, take it easy.

Sorry, guys, but we don't wanna miss the boat, do we?

[whistle blows]

Look, we made it. There she is.

The S.S. Tahitian Star.

Like, just think, no ghosts or mysteries for three whole weeks.

[laughs]

- Jeepers. - They're raising the g*ng plank

All aboard that's going aboard!

Come on, Scoob!

Oh! Wait for me!

[whimpers]

[Fred] Come on, Scooby! We gotta find our cabins.

[whimpers]

Stop kidding around, Scooby.

Uh, who's kidding?

Like, nice going, Scoob.

Yikes. Ohhh.

[Daphne] Jeepers. We must've climbed down 20 decks.

Like, wow. If we go down any lower, we'll need scuba tanks.

Yeah.

[Velma] It sure is spooky down here.

Yeah. Spoo-ky. [whimpers]

I think we made a mistake.

This looks like the ships hold.

[Shaggy] Hey! Like, what's happened to the lights?

Relax, Shag. There's a door up ahead.

- [Shaggy] Zoinks! - [Scooby-Doo gulps]

[Velma] Don't panic. Feel for the door.

[machine whirring]

What's that?

[growling]

Yikes! [whimpers]

Don't be afraid. I am Professor Von Klamp.

Uh, Professor?

I was just running a test on my latest invention,

the time machine.

- [Velma] Time machine? - Yeah.

With this machine I can travel into the past

or the future.

And return people and objects

to our time.

Wow. Like, that's far out.

Hmmm.

[growls]

[yelling]

- Monster! - Scooby, look out!

[crash]

A monster.

[imitates growling]

[whimpers]

A monster?

I am afraid your pets imagination is working overtime.

Imagination?

I am demonstrating my time machine tonight

for a group of wealthy investors aboard the ship.

If I can prove to them that my invention works,

they're going to buy an interest in it

for a half million dollars.

Wow. Like, that would buy a million hamburgers.

[laughs] Right, Scoob?

Mmm. Right, Shaggy.

We're not wealthy investors, Professor.

But we sure would like to see that demonstration.

Well, you are all invited as my special guests.

- Gee, thanks. - We'll be there.

[thunder crashes]

- Like, it's ten o'clock. - And I think the Professor's

ready to start the demonstration.

Those must be the investors.

[Von Klamp] Gentlemen, your attention, please.

Shhh.

You are about to see in action,

the most amazing invention of all time.

I scheduled this demonstration

because I must pay my financial backer by midnight

or the time machine is his.

If the time machine works, Professor,

you'll get your money.

Yes, yes, right, right.

I'm his backer, gentlemen, Simon Grady.

I hope the time machine does work by midnight

so the professor can repay me.

If not, it'll be mine.

All mine. [laughs]

Jeepers. What a creep.

Yeah.

Goodnight, gentlemen.

And good luck, Professor.

[clears throat] For my first demonstration,

I shall return some object from the past.

[whirring]

Uh, something is wrong.

It is going into the future.

to get rid of that monster from the future.

[whimpers]

Let's split up and start searching.

Hold it, Fred.

Don't you think we oughtta... stick together?

Yeah.

Fred? Oh, boy. Come on, Scoob.

Uh-oh. They're not working.

That's strange.

Maybe it's a clue.

Well, we know the Professor's not in here.

So let's keep going.

The South Seas Salon. Inside, quick.

Welcome, sir. Ahem. I am the ship recreation officer

We've gotta escape, Scoob.

Now here's what we'll do...

[whispers]

Oh, that's a good idea.

[grunting]

[growls]

[laughs]

That's strange. This is the first one we've found locked.

There must be something in there

that someone doesn't want anyone to see.

Look.

Maybe I can get us in. Boost me up.

Atta-girl, Daph.

- [crash] - [Daphne] Oh!

Are you all right, Daphne?

Jeepers. Get me loose.

Pull, Fred.

Whew. Thanks.

Hey, look at that. What is it?

[Velma] It's a high-powered laser-beam of some sort.

What's it doing on board a ship?

A good question. Maybe it's a clue.

I wonder what these strange little metal discs are.

I've got a hunch they've got something to do

with that laser-beam set up.

- [clatter] - Somebody's coming.

Maybe it's the monster.

We're three against one. Let's try to overpower it.

One, two, three...

- Now! - [crash]

Oh, great. We've captured a ventilator.

[Shaggy and Scooby] Help!

A Shaggy Scooby ventilator?

Whew. Like, are we glad to see you.

Yeah. [laughs]

Come on, you two. We've got to find the Professor.

He's nowhere on this deck.

Let's try the deck below.

- Do we have to? - Yeah. Do we have to?

[whimpers]

[growls]

He's gone, g*ng.

[whining]

Like, I'll get you out, Scoob.

[laughs]

[groaning]

- [gulps] - Zoinks!

Like, what was that?

[groaning continues]

[groaning continues]

It sounds like somebody moaning.

[Daphne] Jeepers. It's coming from inside the crew's quarters.

[gulps]

[whispers] Come on.

[groaning]

Yow!

Listen, you can chickens, where did that moan come from?

[Fred] It's the Professor.

[groaning] Get me out of here.

Like, we found him, Scoob.

Yeah. [laughs]

Where is the monster?

Still loose aboard the ship, Professor.

Then I must repair the time machine at once!

It's our only chance to send that...

that thing back to the future!

Can you fix it, Professor?

Oh, yes. It is almost ready.

- [dialing] - We have seen

that your time machine does work, Professor.

So we wish to invest in it before the midnight deadline.

Here is our share, $500,000.

Like, wow. Look at all that cash, Scoob.

Yeah. That'd buy a million hamburgers.

Thank you, gentlemen.

It is a wise investment as you shall now see.

- [whirring] - There.

Now my machine will pull the monster

back into the future where he belongs.

[growling]

Yikes! It's working.

Power! More power!

[grunting, growling]

[Shaggy] Like, there it is.

[Fred] The time machine is too strong for him.

[grunting]

[laughs]

Like, it worked. The monster's gone!

Good work! [laughs]

But he took our money with him.

You've got to get the money back, Professor.

I wish I could but the power overload

has wrecked my machine beyond repair.

And I have no money to build a new one.

This mystery is finally starting to make sense.

[inaudible]

Relax, gentlemen.

We can get your money back.

But that is impossible.

I told you, my machine is ruined!

My uncle's an electronics genius.

I'll go contact him on the ship to shore radio

and he'll tell me how to fix your time machine.

[thunder crashes]

Do you really think it will work, miss?

According to my uncle it will, sir.

We'll soon know.

Power on.

[whirring, sputtering]

[growls]

It worked!

It was impossible!

I'll get the money. Send the monster back, Velma.

[growling]

Too late.

- He got away. - But he's got the money.

Do something, Professor.

It is out of my hands.

I am getting out of here.

So am I.

Everything's under control, gentlemen.

We're about to get your money back.

And solve the mystery of the futuristic monster.

I tell you, I left it in here.

See?

Thanks for leading us to the money, bad Grady.

Yeah.

Like, this one's empty.

We have been tricked!

Head for the life boats, we'll escape in the dark.

Lifeboats. [laughs]

Lifeboats? This way!

[crash]

Atta-boy, Scoob. Like, you fooled them.

[laughs]

Well, that mops up this mystery.

[horn blows]

Here's your money back, sir.

Professor Von Klamp and Grady were trying

to swindle you with a phony time machine

and a fake monster.

What?!

[Daphne] Our first big clue was a laser projector

we found down in the hold.

[Fred] We also found some strange looking discs

that turned out to be holographic images

of the monster.

Holographic images?

I'll show you.

When the laser-beam hit a disc,

like this,

it created a three-dimensional image

of the monster.

They could project the monster's image anyone aboard ship

simply by wiring the projector into the ship's

closed circuit TV system.

But wait a minute,

the monster that grabbed the Professor was no image.

Right.

But, like, whenever the monster

had to appear in the time machine,

Grady would slip into the monster suit,

sneak in through the back of the machine...

...and leap out on cue.

But... Grady was here when you made the monster reappear

with the money bag.

Oh, that time it was Shaggy

in the monster suit, sir.

With an empty money bag. [laughs]

We did that to trick the Professor and Grady

into leading us to where the real moneybag was hidden.

Yeah. [laughs]

Yeah. Perfect swindle ruined by you meddling kids.

Lock them in the bridge.

They'll have plenty of time there

to think about time machines.

Now this is the way a pleasure cruise ought to be.

Yeah. Now here this,

all hands on food!

You know, Velma, that monster didn't have me scared.

Huh-uh.

[growls]

[yells]

Scooby-Dooby-Doo!

[laughs]

[laughs]
