The cat!

'Oh. Oh.'

Cab! Hey, taxi!

Yoo-hoo! We need a cab here!

honk honk

It's no use, guys.

We'll never get a cab in New York with a storm coming.

[Shaggy] 'Well, at least we won't starve while we wait.'

Scooby and I've found a place that sells mile long hotdogs.

Yeah, mile long.

Hotdog.

The burglar alarm rings in my apartment.

That's when I called you.

I'd like you to check it out.

[Daphne] Mr. Bixby, you must owned the jewelry store.

My entire collection of jewels completely wiped out.

'only the Richmond ruby.'

Some cat like creature

must have tunneled into the store

robbed the place, then gone back out the same way.

Where Scooby saw him.

Let's check it out right now.

That storm is moving pretty fast, Velma.

Uh, like, right. Let's get to Daphne's aunts place.

And check this out tomorrow.

Hey, hey, what's this on you collar, Scoob?

[Velma] 'It looks like an emerald.'

Like I told you, never to accept gifts from strangers.

'Especially, cat creatures'

which is about as strange as you can get.

Where do you think you're going?

If I have a choice, home springs would be nice.

My aunt live here. Olivia Dervy?

- She expects you? - 'Yes.'

[Daphne] Can we go in now?

[Olivia] I'd better start at the beginning.

Two weeks ago, a strange package was delivered.

[door bell buzzes]

Yes?

What's this?

[Olivia] I took the package inside.

Unwrapped it and found a strange medallion.

It look valuable.

And I assumed someone had made a mistake

Thinking someone would claim it, I kept it.

And that night I had an incredible nightmare.

I-I dreamed I turned into..

I couldn't help myself.

And look what I found in my room tonight.

Look at this emerald earring.

Oh, my gosh! She is the cat creature.

'Le me out of here!'

[Daphne] 'Scooby, Shaggy, Aunt Olivia needs help.'

Yeah? Well, we'll send the national guard!

[together] Yikes!

It's alright, children. This is my doctor.

Dr. Bell.

'He's been treating my, uh, nervous condition.'

[gulps] Like, I'd be nervous too

if I was turning into a cat creature.

Hey, what's this?

Well, that's the wrapping paper the cat medallion came in.

[Fred] And it's got a return address.

Ms. Dervy, we'll see if we can help you.

That clue should give us a good start.

Nice to have met you, Dr. Bell.

- 'Oh, how pretty?' - 'Oh, wow.'

We'd like to help you, Mr. Bixby.

Help yourselves.

Don't bother locking up when you leave.

There's nothing left anyway.

I didn't see anything like this in Aunt Olivia's jewelry.

Me neither. That's strange.

[Velma] So is this, Fred.

I'll bet this is how the cat creature got in and out.

Good work, Velma.

Let's check it out.

Well, I guess we gotta check it out.

You first, Scooby.

Uh-uh. You first.

Now, what would you father say if he saw you like that?

- It's the cat creature! - Run!

Isn't that funny, Scoob?

Yeah. He-he-he!

I don't get it.

- Look. - "Thirteen-B"

Ha! I guess it's just ahead.

It's just a statue.

It-it's only a marble statue.

- Oh. - Oh.

If he got in, there must be a way out up ahead.

So let's find it.

[instrumental music]

[Shaggy] See, if you can find a light switch, Scooby.

How's that?

Like, close enough.

- Yikes! - Relax, Scoob, relax.

It's just another statue.

[Shaggy] The place is crawlin' with them.

And listen to this.

[Fred] Run!

[growling]

It's got me! Scooby!

[growling]

[Shaggy] 'Red hot! Red hot!'

- A little ketchup. - Ketchup.

- Mustard. - Mustard.

- And some relish. - Relish.

There you go, sir. Bite right in.

chomp

[screaming]

Uh, stop in again anytime, sir.

Let's go, Scoob!

Scooby-Doo!

[thunder rumbling]

I think your Aunt Olivia

definitely has a problem, Daphne.

[Velma] Hey, where is Haswell the doorman?

[Daphne] 'Probably on a break.'

vroom

[intense music]

Thank you for coming so quickly, Dr. Bell.

Yes, thank you.

I-I just don't know what's happening to me.

This prescription should help.

'I'll check back in the morning'

'and see how you are doing, Miss Dervy.'

Aunt Olivia, what's that in your hand?

It-it looks like a piece of cloth.

This was ripped from Shaggy's shirt by..

The cat creature.

Then it's true.

I am the cat creature.

Not necessarily, Ms. Dervy.

And I have got a plan to find out for sure

what's happening.

- Why us? - Yeah, why us?

Don't worry, we'll be right outside the door.

Besides, what better protection against a cat creature

than a guard dog.

[intense music]

Yeah, but this guard dog is a scaredy cat.

[together] Yikes!

Scoob, did you close the window?

- Nope. - I think you better.

[babbling]

[thunder rumbling]

[yelping]

[growling]

Shaggy?

[growling]

Shaggy?

[screaming]

[growling]

Scooby-Doo!

What goin' on, Shaggy? Shaggy?

[Daphne] 'Oh, no. Now, the cat creature's got Shaggy and Scooby.'

[growling]

[Fred] Head for the stairs!

screech

Going down.

[blows raspberry]

[growling]

Faster. Faster.

[glass shatters]

Help! Help!

Oh, no. The creature's in the elevator with Scooby.

Help! Somebody help me!

Oh, help! Oh, my God!

[Velma] 'We've got to get to the control box.'

Good idea, Velma.

We'll just push the elevator's power

'and have Scooby down in no time.'

[buzzing]

thud

Going down.

thud

thump

[growling]

thud

[Fred] 'Good work, Scooby.'

[Velma] 'You did it.'

[in unison] 'Dr. Bell?'

I don't understand.

It's simple, Aunt Olivia.

Dr. Bell was using you as a front

to commit his robberies.

He hypnotized you with this medallion

into thinking you were the cat creature.

And he sent that phony cat medallion.

We know that because the handwriting

matches the handwriting on the prescription

'he gave us.'

But-but why me?

Hmph, because you responded to hypnosis

better than any other patient I ever had.

It was a snap.

He would leave just enough jewels with you

to convince you that you were guilty.

'And kept the valuable pieces for himself.'

[Daphne] 'Like the Richmond ruby.'

But-but where's your friend Shaggy?

This whole place is full of secret rooms and panels.

Watch.
