Being an urban girl, what I
wanted to do with the collection

into a fashion-forward glam

First off, you managed to

I like this pink dress very
much, but I like the idea that

It was this ladylike dress that
was surprisingly hot, with the

Cutout.

That black gown was k*ller
diller.

The only thing that kind of
bothered me, you had this very

Fabulous, printed, floaty dress.

The fuchsia under-dress kind of
k*lled the fluidity of the

Dress.

Mm-hmm.

'Cause the dress was great.

I mean, you're all about
exuberance, glamour, and the

Kick-a*s attitude.

You want to keep that.

Yes.

I mean, that's you.

I loved when I saw the little
lame miniskirt, and it was sort

Of like hyper-glamour urban,
which I thought was really

Exciting.

I love the pink dress.

I thought, "wow, I could really
see that on a hollywood

Starlet."

My favorite was the ivory
pants and the ivory blouse.

I would have loved to have seen
more of that kind of stuff,

Because I feel like that is who
you are.

I love the pants that you had
here last time.

The black dress.

I mean, you fixed a lot of the
things I had problems with

Last time.

I tried to listen.

You had the big volume on the
bubble skirt, and then you had

The cream jacket with it, and it
was also very puffy up here.

It was bubblicious.

It was bubblicious all over
the place, you know.

I feel like, if the skirt is
bubbly, I don't know.

Maybe a tighter top.

You did a great job in
changing things around.

Particularly with the backless
look.

That top with the black skinny
pants looked contemporary,

What I like the most about your
design, kimberly, is that you

Have the ability to take
something like this wonderful

Blue metallic, which is a rich
fabric, and make it very easy

And very modern.

And I would have liked to see

Well, I really wanted to
display what I'm all about in

Terms of my tailoring meets my
draping.

And I'm learning to play with,
you know, new ideas.

But in an edited version, in
many ways.

I liked your collection a
lot.

I totally got your point of
view of the merger of soft and

Hard.

Each piece has a lot of
interest, but it's not too crazy

That you can't wear it.

I also like that psychedelic
print that you had.

It's a really cool and gutsy
print to do.

I like those green shorts.

They were a little wild.

But it worked.

You like a lot.

You're a lot.

Kind of like a schizophrenic.

You were, like, slapping your
own hand.

And, boy, it served you well.

The clothes are very designed
and beautifully made.

You don't need all the
histrionics.

I think that your editing was
really, really well done.

I know it's a battle for you.

I was afraid we were gonna get a
blue eyebrow or god knows, you

Know?

And you really, really held back
and let your work shine.

From the dress opening the
show, which was so beautifully

Draped and interesting, to the
final dress, I was very

Impressed.

Your use of materials is very
interesting.

And I think you have a complete
vision that's very yours,

And you tell a story which makes
sense from beginning to end.

You know, the neoprene thing
and the plastic are both

Materials that can look very
gimmicky and very kind of like,

"Oh, god, who wants to wear
that?"

And you made it look believable
that a woman shopping in a store

Would say, "okay, you know what?

I'll give plastic or neoprene a
go."

My inspiration is marrying
mexico, where I come from, and

Also the city that I love,
new york.

And I also like that rock and
roll girl, 'cause I think

Everybody has that rock and roll
in them.

I'm loving the printed
pieces.

They really, really are
fantastic.

When I look at these motocross
pants and I look at that sharp

Dress that you opened with,
there's a sense of tailoring and

Polish that's very you.

Where you lost me a bit was too
much of this transparency.

A little bit like a runway joke.

You know, it's on a 19-year-old
model, and she's a size two,

And, wow, she can walk out in
her underwear, showing it.

Isn't that great?

But just walking around like
that?

But the prints were great, and I
think the tailored pieces were

Stellar.

You had me at the first look.

It was great.

It was so well constructed.

You execute beautifully, which I
was really impressed with.

I loved the long dress with the
print in the front.

I could really see some young
hollywood actress wearing that

And looking fabulously tall and
glamorous.

I wasn't really a fan of the
sheer dress.

It doesn't always have to be on
display.

Sometimes a little to the
imagination can be exciting too.

Overall, as a collection, I
thought it really made sense.

I thought it had a very cool
vibe, and it was very you and

Very cohesive to what I've seen
you do this season, which were

Some really beautiful, amazing
clothes, so...

The pant with the mirror top and
with the jacket, I thought that

Looked amazing.

But then it's almost like you

To me, it reads a little cheap.

So for me, I was a little bit
like that.

But I did love a lot of your
pieces.

The initial inspiration for
me was a trip to tobago.

I was very inspired by the
general vibe of the island.

The colors, the textures, and
the ease of living there and the

Way that we dress--an easy,
sexy vibe.

I really like the vibe of
your collection.

Who doesn't wanna be that
girl?

you pick a lot of amazing

Fabrics.

And even though they're all
different, they all kind of

Work.

But then, when I think about the
construction side of it, you

Didn't have to do as much as
others had to do, you know.

So I'm thinking, like, is that
okay?

Out of ten looks, eight have the
same neckline.

In your instance, it was,
"oh, my god, I want to make this

Print statement."

So you probably did sacrifice
diversity in the shapes.

But then you showed all the
prints.

I have to tell you, you had my
favorite opener.

It was cut fabulously.

To cut clothes that are plunged,
it really takes the right skill.

And it was sexy without being
slutty.

It had...

Moved.

Movement, glamour, and I love
this dress.

It's got some edge, but it's
still got a boho vibe.

It's got both.

You can push it even more.

I know you can.

And the one thing I have to
say about the caribbean thing,

You are gonna have to be
cognizant of the fact that

Not everyone's in a caftan...

Floating around the world at all
times.

So variety is important.

I thought your use of print

The brown dress belted was

It looked so interestingly
constructed.

I was sort of struggling, like,
what would I wear in the city?

about it working for lots of

Different types of women.

But I thought you did a really

So where do we start?

Well, I think kimberly had a
lot of great clothes, but I

Don't know if it made for a
great collection.

But I think there are a lot
of great individual pieces.

Yeah, I thought she had a
really clear point of view.

There is not a lot of that
out there.

Yeah, she has something
different to say.

And it's a female voice
as well, which is different.

Absolutely.

And it's urban, and she's
cool, and I thought that her

Clothes looked really great,
aside from those few kind of

Clunky mistakes.

Listen, the black gown at the
end is a fabulous gown.

Fabulous.

Sexy, sophisticated.

I think she's a very good
designer, but I think she needs

A little more time.

Let's talk about viktor.

Great tailoring, beautifully
made.

I don't know that it was really
a perfectly connected fashion

Show.

I think there was some wonderful
clothes there, but I think there

Was definitely, you know, hills
and valleys.

For me, it was too put
together.

One was really over-the-top
sexy, super-see-through, all

Black.

Mm-hmm.

And the other collection was
very sophisticated, beautiful

Prints, tailored.

There are some pieces in this
collection that I'm in love

With.

I want that little dress.

I love that dress.

I mean, it's beautiful.

It's great!

When I look at the printed pant,
the mirrored tank, and the black

Jacket, all three pieces on
their own are spectacular, and

The combination together...

Is fabulous.

Is perfect.

Fabulous.

Sadly, he had four missed
opportunities here with the

Black.

But he has done some really
beautiful, exceptionally great

Clothes.

Is he ready?

I do think he could start his
own brand.

Yes, if you can picture a
woman who's an adult...

Not feeling like an old lady
in the clothes.

And that's commercially
successful.

Two days ago, we hate two out
of three of the looks.

She had an identity crisis.

In two days, full about-face.

She does everything, like,
last-minute.

She learned how to sew at the
last minute and pulled the

Rabbit out of the hat.

In four months.

Tim went to see her at home.

She hadn't done a single thing.

What?

Oh, really?

So how good is she performing
under pressure?

How often do we have to perform
miracles under pressure?

All the time.

She found those black and white
prints at the last minute.

They didn't look like they were
added to me at all.

She has good taste.

She has taste, she has style.

She has good taste.

I agree with you about the
necklines.

You know, it was a v-neck fest.

Maybe she has potential to
really evolve even more.

She is so gifted, and she's
got such great eye for patterns.

That's what she's good at.

She might need to have
more variety and realize not

Everyone, you know, can go
braless and wear something

Plunging.

I wish she would have layered
it a little bit more.

Maybe a lightweight sweater or
something to not just do dress,

While I think it was a little
bit one-note, it certainly

Wasn't hills and valleys, where

Come from?"
She is her brand.

She's cool, she looks the part.

But I think women who design
clothes, you are your brand.

Absolutely.

I think he did a fantastic
job too.

When you think about this
guy who has such a tendency to

Over-design everything...this
was a focused show...

With gorgeous tailoring.

The clothes were interesting.

The prints were fun.

The styling was really cohesive.

Very. I mean, probably the
best styling was his.

Definitely.

And this is somebody that
came from the worst styling.

And it was a gutsy show.

Oh, very.

It wasn't safe.

No, wasn't safe, but it--
we could have really...

Could have been a freak show.

Gone and been like, "oh, we
hate the green.

We hate the print."

The neoprene, the plastic.

Well, he took neoprene and
plastic and made them actually

Desirable.

On the other hand, that foray in
the middle with the sad jacket

And putting the striped top
under it, that was a little--

Threw me off.

Well, that was, like, his one
misstep, really.

Yeah, the rest of it was so--
yeah, strong.

Solid, yes.

Solid, real solid.

Solid collection.

He's gutsy.

He has a lot of ideas.

Maybe too many ideas.

But he's got ideas!

In a way, anya, has a more
unique point of view.

I can picture what an anya
bag, an anya shoe, an anya piece

Of jewelry might look like.

And that tells me that she has
the potential to have a serious

Business with a serious
following.

On the other hand, josh's
clothes today, was there more

Design to them, more tailoring,
more work, more thought?

All: yes.

Absolutely, there was.

No question.

It was very tough, but do you
think that we've made our

Decision?

I think so.
