I didn't think this was
possible.

I just didn't think I had the
face or the right features.

Now it's, like, changing my

I wanted to give her something
that would just move along with

Her spirit, because you can
obviously tell that there's a

Great spirit about her, and
I wanted to give her something

That would make her feel as good
as I know she wanted to feel.

I cut all of the chiffon in all
the little squares, sewed it

Back on.

And then the under-layer of the
dress is jersey, so it's

Extremely comfortable.

I had fun with it, and I had a
really, really good time working

With her.

Kim, what do you think about
the look?

When he said, "what are you
looking for?"

And I said, "well, when I go
down the red carpet, I want to

Be able to say, 'oh, yes, this
is gunnar,'" you know?

I feel fabulous.

I had a lot of fun out there.

I have to tell you, kim, in
my eyes, you were the best model

On the runway here today.

I had a lot of fun.

No, we could see that.

You could teach gisele how

My client is amanda.

She wanted a look that would
give her more of a mature look,

Something that she could wear if
she wants to go out.

I wanted to make sure I gave her
a very comfortable fabric,

Because she is kind of a sporty,
tomboyish kind of girl, so I

Wanted to make sure it was
something that she felt

Comfortable in and was easy to
move around in.

I feel like she really took
into account what I was telling

Her about myself.

It made me feel just kind of
sexy in a way.

It was not a bad idea to kind
of do this knot here in the

Front.

It was a good idea.

It's just I don't think it
worked.

And then it is so super short,
which makes it a little

Slutty-looking.

It needs to be a little bit
longer, because otherwise, it

Looks like you're going to work
somewhere else.

[Chuckles]
knowing that you are athletic

And sporty, suddenly you're in a
draped c*ck dress.

To me, it's just--whoosh.

I mean, the dial went too far.

I don't think that you looked
at amanda and worked with the

Best that she has.

I would have wanted to see more
of this part exposed.

When you put a lot of extra
fabric on someone who's petite,

It has a tendency to just hold
you down.

Ven, tell us about your look
and your client.

This was actually my first,
like, challenge where I've

Actually worked with real-size
women.

I've never done it before.

So I think the point of the
look was we wanted to move

Forward into a direction that
was new, which I had to finish

Very fast.

Terri, how do you like your
look?

Yesterday at the first
fitting, I was not happy, and

This morning, I was not happy.

And my friend here spoke up.

I was very happy with that.

This is something I never
would have pictured her in.

This area is, like, what she
was, like, self-conscious about,

And I just kind of feel like
it's highlighted a little bit.

I mean, I don't know if they
provided the before pictures,

But--
yes, we have them here on our

I think it was definitely a
drastic change, and also,

I think that it looks a little
cheap--actually, a lot.

I should have not said a little.

It just does, in my eyes.

She's a performing artist.

The possibilities are endless,
but not this mess of a dress

With this unfortunate, shiny

It's ill-fitting.

It is too short.

The earrings don't work.

This is just a disaster.

She didn't come to you as a
client looking for a costume.

She came to you looking for a

What you ended up with is every
cliche combined.

The sheer illusion sleeves are

He had it so easy that--
he had a great girl.

She really needed his advice
and direction, yet he wanted her

To tell him how to design the
dress.

And he's basically throwing

She should have been the one
person walking down the stage--

She's a performer.

We should have looked at it and
thought, "wow.

That's an amazing dress."

But at the end of the day,
you're not a seamstress.

You're a designer.

sonjia.

A fairly banal dress.

I've seen 1,000 of that dress.

To be honest, I had many
maternity dresses like that, in

This kind of fabric, with that
knot right there.

With the knot.

Her client clearly lives in,
like, shorts and t-shirts.

So she loved it.

It was a huge transformation for
her.

For her, it's a big step.

designers that we did like.

Fabio.

I think fabio had the biggest
challenge.

He had a client who was dressed
like a lumberjack and designed a

Feminine dress that works for
her.

He didn't just design a
feminine dress.

He did a very unexpected dress.

That's what I mean.

It's a special dress.

For her.

It's right for her.

It is a realistic, well-made
dress.

If she lost the belt, it would
be even better.

She looked like a student.

Now, she looks like what she
is--an artist.

Yeah.

I thought it was really smart.

What did you think about
gunnar?

You know, he made kim from super
frumpy to really sassy.

And he managed to find that
balance between sophisticated

And youthful.

I mean, I think that he gave her
a whole new lease on life.

Let's talk about dmitry.

You look at dmitry and what
he did for angela--she went from

Chopped jeans, flip-flops, a
tank top into this kind of very

Edgy, modern-looking, cool girl.

She looks really hot.

He picked great fabric.

It looked sophisticated.

And styled her perfectly
from head to toe.

She was really confident, and
she looked super, super happy,

And it was really nice to see
somebody smiling throughout.

When you look at dmitry,
fabio, and gunnar, all three of

Them had this fabulous
relationship with their clients.

So we've made our decision?
