So, with that in mind, for your

Next challenge, we want you to

Create a fashion-forward

Editorial look for a celebrity

Fashion story that will run in

Our may 2013 issue.

And designers, there's a huge

Incentive for you to want to win

This challenge.

The winning designer's look

Will be photographed, and it

Will be worn by the beautiful

And talented jordana brewster.

Jordana brewster has been in

The fast and the furious and

Dallas.

For her to rock my look would be

Really cool in marie claire.

I do not want to see a red

Carpet look on jordana.

I'm not expecting gowns here.

I don't want to see t-shirts

And pants, okay?

The look needs to be editorial.

It needs to be bold.

It needs to be bold in the

Color, in the shape, in the

Print, in the silhouette, in

Something, because that's what

Editors will want to photograph,

Make it simple, and I was gonna

Create a fabric and make one

Piece of material, but I don't

Have enough time for art

Anymore, so--

You know, it has a lot of

Movement, it has a lot of life.

The shimmer of the black leather

Is just subtle enough to add

That extra something.

And these pants are k*ller.

I haven't worn a pegged pant

Since, like, the late '80s,

And I'm gonna bring it back,

Because I think it's

Absolutely stunning.

I'm very excited to see my

Design go down the runway.

It's floating beautifully.

The color looks really cool in

Spring and summer.

The fit is really good.

I'm just having a great time

Watching marina go down the

Runway in it.

She just looks amazing.

The culottes were moving.

The jacket is structured.

The hair is bouncing.

Nina is just really studying it.

Jordana's smiling.

It just looks amazing.

And I'm feeling really confident

About this look.

She looks amazing.

I feel a huge compromise as I

See my look come down the

Runway.

I know that I did have to

Compromise on the finish because

I finally put it together in an

Hour and a half.

At least I've got something

To put on the runway.

It looks so cool...

Like a work of art.

I look at it, and I'm like, "oh,

My god, I can't believe I made

This happen in such a short

Time."

I accomplished something that

Looks so out there and unusual,

And it looks very polished.

One of you will be named the

Winner of this challenge...

And one of you will be out.

Since there are only five of

You left, we're gonna talk to

All of you today.

Let's bring out your models.

Patricia, tell us about your

Look.

I-i struggled quite a bit.

This design that I came up with

And the leather was inspired by

Concho belts, but I thought for

The spring festiveness, I'd put

The fringe going up so that it

Would dance more, in celebration

Of the spring, everything kind

Of coming up.

You always bring an element

Of surprise.

However, having said that, I

Don't think this would work for

Jordana.

She is a celebrity with a

Rocking body...

Mm-hmm.

And the shape would not be

Flattering.

It is--it's almost tent-like,

And that is part of the reason

That this look does not work.

You know, you said you wanted

To create sort of a spring-like

Texture, something that had a

Lot of movement to it.

Unfortunately, though, when it

Did go down the runway, I didn't

See lots of movement of fringe,

And I wish I had seen more.

You know, I just don't feel like

It totally feels like a finished

Look.

I agree with zac.

I think it looks a little bit

Unfinished.

I love that it's one shoulder.

I love all the thought that you

Put into it.

But I also agree with nina that

It's a little bit shapeless,

And I would love it to either

Have a belt or to somehow be a

Little bit more formfitting.

When I saw this look, I

Wasn't really sure.

Do I like it?

Do I not like it?

Is it borderline pocahontas?

Or is it actually cool,

Especially for what it was for?

It's a marie claire challenge.

It's supposed to be used for an

Editorial with a certain kind of

Jewelry, maybe belts, things

That, you know, the stylist will

Give her.

It will give her a look.

So I feel like it's a good

Palette to work with, in a way.

It's something unusual.

I also think the look shows

That you had problems.

I mean, there's little technical

Things that look a little...

That is true.

Unfinished.

So, how was it working with

Richard?

That--that's the difficult

Part, 'cause he doesn't know how

To work with silk, and so I had

To teach him how to do a french

Seam, and that's where I kind of

Had to keep it together and--and

Be patient and know that I was

Gonna see myself through it.

So--

I mean, they were supposed to

Help you guys and not learn

Things.

Did you choose...

It was about you.

To work with richard?

No.

No, we were in a button bag,

And so it was--

Yeah.

Stanley, tell us about your

Look.

These things have been

Dancing in my head since I've

Got here.

I wanted to do something that

Was not a palazzo pant, but

Sort of a culotte or like a

Shorter pant, and so that's when

I decided to put the pocket in.

And that's when the shape

Started to dance a little bit.

I wanted the leather jacket,

'Cause I wanted the ease about

It and sort of sexiness about

It, and I didn't want to let

Nina down, 'cause that's the

Last thing she said, "don't

Disappoint me."

It was smart of you to create

Three pieces, because it gives

Us options.

The culottes are fabulous.

I love the fact that you played

With volume.

I think it is a highly editorial

Look.

Even if she's not moving, if

She's holding it, it will make a

Fabulous picture.

Look how the lining is

Inside.

It's very nice.

Wow.

That is--she looks

Phenomenal.

It gives her a tiny waist.

It looks fresh.

It looks elegant.

It looks expensive.

And, you know, you made a lot of

Pieces, so you really utilized

Tu.

Yeah, I did.

You know, you can tell.

I mean, because you could have

Not done all these pieces by

Yourself.

No, tu actually constructed

The jacket.

So that is very good

Management right there.

Yeah. Well, thank you.

Daniel, tell us about your

Look.

When we talked to nina at the

Hearst building, she--the words

I remember that she said was,

"Fantasy, bold, color,"

So I took it and ran with it.

And what I did was, um, I

Engineered it with curves,

So it could be bendable for

Editorial, if you want to bring

It down or if you want to bring

It up.

And I like the different angles

That--when she turns around,

It can picture--photograph at

Different angles.

Really cool.

You definitely gave nina what

She wanted.

I do see that.

But for me, I see victoria's

Secret.

It's almost, like, borderline...

Yeah.

Little wings starting here

That are about to take off.

Hmm.

Like for me, it's almost a

Little bit too gimmicky.

You know, I could have seen

It with a long tulle, simple

Skirt to balance the shoulders

'Cause I really--i don't think

The look is working.

Um, I love the color.

I think the color is stunning.

I love the back.

I love that there's a contrast

Between how strong the shoulders

Are and how feminine the back is

And the cinching at the waist.

I would also like to see it with

A skirt.

I think that would make it a

Little more romantic.

The good thing is that this

Definitely would be on a rack

For the celebrity or for a

Model.

We are always looking for

Something that will take a

Wonderful picture on all sides.

The fact that the shoulders can

Be manipulated is exciting.

I mean, it really has a lot of

Potential, and it's color.

Mm-hmm.

The bad...

That's okay.

Is that it is--i said may.

It looks a little easter, and it

Looks a little bit like the ftd

Florist.

Okay.

It's definitely memorable.
