Everyone's bored
so we decide to go to a bar.

[Julie] Oh, you know,
we could always go to Dave's bar.

-Isn't he working tonight? Whoops!
-[Melissa] Yep.

[Julie] That's be nice of us, wouldn't it?

-[Melissa] Yep. [hums]
-[Julie yelps, laughs]

[glass breaking]

[Melissa whistling]

-[David] You want a cranberry juice?
-Oh, no, that's okay.

-You want a water?
-[Julie] Okay.

[David] I've never bartended before
but it's a good experience.

That's the weirdest thing,

to have a bartender.
that don't drink, you know?

I'm able to send some money
back home to Ma's.

that just because I left

all the problems are gone too.

[Jamie] I'm definitely attracted
to Melissa

just because I feel like,
when I'm around her,

I'm around a completely

for a month and a half before I left.

I'm having a birthday party
at the Red Room on Friday night.

What is this visit...
What's this visit going to be like?

[Melissa] I'm scared for him
to come see me.

I like seeing other boys,

and for Ryan to come out here
and stake his claim

means that I can't enjoy

I'm just scared that you're going to visit
and that we're going to argue or something

about what should be and what isn't,

put our nose to the grindstone

and get this stuff worked out

and figured out,
we're all on the same page here.

In just a few days, we're going
to have our very first show.

Kelley has stepped up as the leader.

[Kelley] It's basically up to us

to figure out a format
and do the production,

and do the writing, do the research...

I mean, everything. This is all us.

We're going to have
the introduction of the seven of us.

Then we're going to get crazy, mad footage
of each of us going

into several different types of places.

Talking to the community to get an idea
of what they want to be discussed.

[Jamie] What hours of the day
work best for you guys?

[Matt] Um...

[Kelley] Well, okay, this is going to be
a huge thing with Dave needing to be here...

-[Danny] We got... Yes. He's...
-...because now that he's got this job

I don't know if he's working
four days or five days a week.

[Danny] It does not matter.
His job does not come first.

[Kelley] Well, I agree with you.

[Danny] David hasn't... He's just not
showing any interest at all.

He already has another job.
I just see him...

I see this job as, like,
his second interest already.

The relationship
with my roommates is... rough.

I'm not there.

I'm just doing the thing that I have to do
because my keyboard's not there.

[Matt] He doesn't seem very interested
in the show, but it's going to be the job

of the director and the producer
and all of us just to be, like,

"David, you got to do your job

or you're off NOA-TV
and you're out of our house."

[dramatic piano continues]

[Kelley] Since,
you're the musical director,

like, two hours will probably be dedicated

to doing something with music,

but then the other
two hours are going to be...

Since you're a host, you have to do...
figure out a segment

and write it, and research it because...

-[David] Well, that's a problem there.
-Okay.

You know, tell you the truth,
y'know what I'm saying?

Host, I can get up in front
of the camera, whatever.

I know exactly what I'm doing.

I can't imagine
that composing eight minutes of...

The problem lies in the fact that, one,

I don't know about it,
because he doesn't tell me,

and two, there are other responsibilities

that he has to take care of,
that the music is not the only one.

But I haven't been able to see you
'cause you're just not here very often.

doing what most people are saying
they're going to do.

I'm out in the field already.
I'm out talking to everybody...

people are ignorant of the fact

doing more at this point

than everybody right now,

Where are the papers
where you wrote down the answers

to the questions
that you've got from the street?

What are the topics
that these people want to hear about?

I need to see them, so that we can, like,
put them together on a piece of paper

so we can come up
with the new topics for the show.

then I don't know.

these meetings when he can't come.

Are you approaching this as,

"Wow, you know, me and Melissa

while she was in Tampa,
and now I'm going to visit her

in her new setting in New Orleans

and we're going to have
a really fun time"?

Or are you approaching it as
"I'm going to see my girlfriend"?

[Ryan over phone] I... I don't know.

He's a hopeless romantic
and he probably thinks

that I will end up in Tampa
and the relationship

will continue and flourish.

I am so concerned with hurting
your feelings.

But you understand the disaster
and the possible trauma

that goes with you coming here?

to get accomplished?

[Jamie] We have to film all of us

in different arenas doing

And then there's one
important part with it, though.

[David] Okay, is this book thing
definitely set in stone?

'Cause that's going to be more of problem
than anything.

-Why?

[Kelley] Melissa comes up
with a really good idea about having

a book that'll have "The Real Seven"

-on the cover of it.
-[intense music playing]

From my understanding, we're trying
to make it as if, "Okay,

yeah, we're all connected
and whoo, whoo," but I don't understand

how we just can't have,
like, a frame each.

You do your thing,
"Blah, blah, blah, whoo, whoo,"

and then have some kind of effect
where it's like... [imitates fast-forward]

And then, y'know what I'm saying,
go to the next person,

-because this book thing...
-[Julie] It'd be a cool way

to tie it all together
and show our logo at the end

[Kelley] It says "The Real Seven"
on the book.

and the camera zooms in,

there's "The Real Seven," our show starts.

[Kelley] The fact that he is not with us
to figure this out

and get rid of the idea immediately

is not easy to swallow for anybody.

to figure out the set.

Intellectually, he is a wonderful person.

He can laugh at all my jokes
and he can appreciate

my excessive silliness
and, at the same time, respect me.
