- I just got out of a seven-year relationship last summer.

- Just being here with all these new people and not having

anybody that I know really makes me think about Becky.

It's just really hard, because I just can't seem

to find a girl who is like her.

I miss her.

- Oh, I don't have my camera with me.

- SARAH: Isn't it fabulous? - LANDON: It is.

One of the very best feelings is to have somebody love you back

and really treat you well, like Becky.

I mean, she treated me-- not like she bought me things.

She just treated me with such respect.

- Mm-hmm.

- Becky and I were high school sweethearts.

And...we had dated for a total of seven years.

She has such compassion for people.

And I do hold Becky very high upon a pedestal.

- Why don't you try and get her back?

- LANDON: Because as much as it hurts,

I need to date other people.

- Well, then, why don't you do that--

- I am, I am.

- --and then try to get her back?

- Becky's dating my old roommate now,

and has been since we broke up. - Whoa.

Of all the people on the face of the earth that I would ever pick

Becky to be with would be Jason.

And I just want to grab her and shake her and be like,

- LANDON: She is my only love I've ever had.

I'm in love with her. But that's more of a different--

- [phone rings]

- MELANIE: Hello? - BECKY: Hi, this is Becky.

- MELANIE: Becky? - BECKY: Yeah.

- Landon is in Fairmount Park.

- BECKY: Okay, um, I'm flying back from Paris,

and our flight got pushed to tomorrow,

and we're in Philadelphia for the night.

- Really? - BECKY: Yeah.

So I just thought-- - Oh, wow!

- BECKY: Yeah. - He's at the park,

but I'll definitely let him know you called--

- BECKY: Yeah, just let him know he can call my cell phone,

if he wants. - All right.

- BECKY: Okay, bye. - Bye.

- KARAMO: What are you writing?

- "Becky's in Philly for the night.

Call her on her cell phone." - KARAMO: Hm.

- SHAUN: Hi there, baby. - Hi.

- SHAUN: How's my little girl? - Mm-hmm.

Right now, me and Shaun are broken up,

and I'm on my own out here. But we still love each other.

He's even gonna come out and see me while I'm out here.

Where are you going right now?

- SHAUN: Home. - Are you off today?

- SHAUN: Yeah, I didn't wanna work.

- Why didn't you wanna work, babe?

- SHAUN: 'Cause...I don't know.

I just got burned out for a little bit.

I wanted an extra day off.

- SHAVONDA: He says he's gonna go out and date and do whatever.

I say go for it.

Go for it, except don't go with your ex-girlfriend.

Shaun and Jenny were pretty serious through high school.

He cares about her still.

And they still talk to each other all the time.

So he knows it's a touchy situation.

This is the kind of day that I'd be like,

"I'm gonna come up and see you!" - SHAUN: I know.

- SHAVONDA: Yeah, 'cause you're off.

I would be like, "Oh, I wanna hang out with you!"

- SHAUN: [laughs] - You know?

- ♪

- SARAH: It's the strangest thing.

We've been talking about Becky all day.

And we walk into the house...

and there's a piece of paper that says,

"Landon, Becky called. She's in town for the night."

So Landon goes upstairs and calls Becky.

- [phone rings]

- BECKY: Hello?

- Hello. - BECKY: Hi!

- LANDON: Hey, what's up, Philadelphian?

- BECKY: [chuckles] Nothing.

I know, how weird, huh? - Yeah.

You know, just a call from Becky.

"Hey, I'm in--I'm in Philadelphia."

You know, what are the chances?

- BECKY: A guy had a stroke on our flight.

We had to go back to Ireland. So we got in four hours late.

And our next flight isn't until : in the morning tomorrow.

- Did you wanna come and visit and go out with us tonight?

- BECKY: Sure! That--that'd be fun.

How about if we just meet you at o'clock, down in the lobby?

- Yeah. - BECKY: Okay.

- Okay. - BECKY: Bye.

- Yeah, bye.

So I'm going to pick up Becky from the Ramada.

- MELANIE: That is so weird. Isn't that--that's a...

Weird, man. It's fate.

- No! Don't say that.

Sometimes you get those feelings,

and you're just--you don't know what to expect.

And the fact that she called, you get too excited and,

you know, it brings back a lot of feelings and possibilities.

I hope Becky came here to reconnect with me.

Maybe to, you know, rekindle an old flame.

You know, my stomach is feeling weird and my chest is tight.

And I just feel like

there's a million things that could happen.

- ♪

- [whispers] Hey, Karamo. - What up?

- SHAVONDA: Can I go on the computer?

- Sure you can. - SHAVONDA: Thank you.

I had sent Shaun a cuddle card earlier today.

It's just like an internet email greeting.

And when I spoke to him today,

he didn't mention the cuddle card,

and usually he gushes over it.

So I checked Shaun's email, see if he got the cuddle card.

He didn't get the cuddle card.

But there were a bunch of travel confirmations

through Orbitz.com.

He already bought his ticket to come see me a while back.

And so I was like, why all these travel confirmations now?

Well, there's a travel confirmation because

there's a flight for Shaun out to Texas earlier today.

And guess who purchased the ticket for him?

His ex-girlfriend, Jenny.

- [phone rings] - Whatcha been up to?

- SHAUN: Nothing. Just hanging out with Kat.

- Why didn't you answer your phone earlier?

- SHAUN: My phone didn't get charged last night.

- Oh.

- SHAUN: So it's been turned off.

- You weren't doing anything else?

- SHAUN: What else would I be doing?

- I don't know.

Okay, I could let Shaun keep lying to me,

or I could just nip this -- in the bud and lose my mind.

I'm just gonna [bleep] tell ya

'cause I don't beat around the bush.

I have your email account and you have mine.

I checked yours today to see if you got my cuddle card--

which, by the way, you didn't.

And I saw, like, all these Orbitz travel confirmations.

So I checked it, and there was something to Jenny.

So I scrolled down some more,

and then I see that the passenger's name is Shaun.

It's weird, huh? - SHAUN: Yeah.

Uh, look. I am out of state.

I don't wanna lie to you. - Mm-hmm.

- But you're gonna freak out, as I knew you were.

I just didn't want, like, any unnecessary drama,

and now I got more than even if I would've told you.

- Yeah, you do. You went out of state, Shaun?

And you didn't tell me you were going out of state

to see your ex-girlfriend? That's a little shady.

- SHAUN: It's not like that. She's moving on Monday.

- If it wasn't like that, why didn't you wanna tell me?

Why wouldn't you just say, "You know what?

She wants me to come out and help her move"?

- SHAUN: Shavonda, this is the bottom line:

I'm just helping a friend. Do you understand?

- No, I don't [bleep] understand!

Maybe if you would've, like,

asked me or something or told me.

It's the fact that you lied.

You lied when I called you today.

You lied about what you were doing today.

You lied earlier today about what was happening today.

And now I don't trust him, and trust is very important to me.

there was feelings within her for me.

And so I don't feel like

And I think that's a lot of what I'm searching for.

Oh, that really hit me.

I would really try to aim for not my arm.

- I'm sorry, Landon. - No, don't apologize.

That was a little unexpected. Becky's friend got very sick.

And what was supposed to be, like, kind of like a fun night

was the fact that we were taking care of her.

- FRIEND: How did I get so drunk?

- BECKY: No, no, it's okay, it's okay.

- FRIEND: [yelps] Can we go home?

- BECKY: I don't know. What are you doing?

- LANDON: I feel like I'm losing you out to sea or something.

- BECKY: No, I'm fine.

I'm fine! - I'm sorry.

I didn't want to make you feel uncomfortable.

I'm trying to make things go, you know,

as well as they can tonight,

trying to reestablish, you know, our friendship.

And it just seems like I just--I just can't do it.

Can I say something? - Yes.

- Why are you uncomfortable being around me?

- I am not. - Yes, you are.

Is Jason uncomfortable?

'Cause I can imagine he would be because he's kind of a loser.

Becky? - No, it's--no.

- LANDON: Don't be upset.

I'm trying to have a conversation.

So what's the deal? - Nothing.

You're making me feel uncomfortable.

- I don't know what Becky's thinking, and she won't tell me.

And so it's very hard, and it keeps my heart open to her,

and it allows me to get hurt a lot easier by her.

- [knocks]

- BECKY: Yeah? - How are we doing?

- BECKY: One second. - [exhales audibly]

I think Becky will always be able to get underneath my skin

until I have some closure.

And the fact that I just can't let it go--

but up to this point, I just can't.

I guess I didn't think then

that you and Jason started going out

would be, like, the complete end

between you and me having fun, for that fact.

- I had a great time tonight. - I know.

- And I'm with Jason,

and I had a stellar great time tonight.

- That's great.

After all this time, it's almost been a year,

I would've-- I would've figured that...

one of you would've been a little more at ease about...

being around me than what it is.

- Landon, you can feel whatever way you wanna feel.

I mean, I'm with Jason. I'm happy.

I would like to feel that you could act the same around me

Seven years I was her boyfriend.

I was one of the most important people in her life.

I've never seen Becky treat a friend with just, like,

carelessness. It's just so unlike her.

And I just fear that this new guy, Jason,

that she's dating has that effect on her,

because that's the type of person he is.

And she is the person most in my life that can hurt me

because I have so much love for her.

- SHAVONDA: Part of me is like, he's probably really sorry.

But the other part of me is like, this is so [bleep] wrong.

You know how I feel about you

and your relationship with Jenny.

So why the [bleep] did you think it was okay for you

to get on a [bleep] plane and fly out to Texas to see her?

- And it's not like they've been broken up for, like,

a year or six months.

Even though Shavonda and Shaun are supposedly broken up,

Shavonda still has feelings. So does Shaun.

They still have feelings for each other.

- SHAVONDA: Did Becky make it to her hotel?

- LANDON: Yeah. Willie told me

that there was a voicemail for me that said that

they got on the plane okay and...

- LANDON: This sucks because, like,

Becky always said that we were best friends.

And through it all, I always kind of imagined

that we'd always still be friends, you know?

- Yeah. - And, uh...apparently not, so--

- Isn't it funny how people change like that?

- Yeah, it really is.

It's scary. - Yeah.

- LANDON: Not easy times, you know?

- SHAVONDA: No.

- LANDON: The way I think about it is, like,

it's not gonna get easier. - SHAVONDA: Uh-uh.

- LANDON: Like, finding someone to be with

is gonna be even tougher now, you know?

- [bird chirping]

It's gonna be really hard

to find someone to associate with, you know?

- Mm-hmm. - That you can really trust.

- And that's the thing. I thought, like,

he's the one that I go to when I'm having a bad day.

He's the one I go to when I've been lied to.

He's the one I go to when my parents and my--

my mom and my dad don't call me or tell me I--whatever.

So who am I supposed to go to now when he's the one

Shavonda, if you're not gonna hook up with me,
