- M.J.: Transvestites are a thing

that I really haven't even delved into yet.

I think that I've made big strides in trying

to understand the g*y culture, but it's still something

that I'm totally not comfortable with.

He thinks I'm a funny, like, kooky, real character.

He thinks of me as a character, not as a person. It's true.

- It's also my fault, too,

because we haven't had enough one-on-one time

to really sort of get to know each other, like, truly.

- WILLIE: I just wish that they were able to see Willie

as a man instead of Willie as the short g*y boy.

One thing that I'm really scared of

is that the sex between Shavonda

and I will kind of make things too sticky for our friendship,

and then at the end, we won't be left

with anything--friendship or a physical relationship.

like, you live with. Unless it was someone, like,

I literally could fall in love with,

I don't think I could do it here.

- So are you guys boyfriend and girlfriend?

- Vonda only wants it to be sex,

and she doesn't have a problem with it just being sex.

And I was like, "If you tell yourself,

'I'm not going to get attached,' you won't get attached."

I said, "I'm not attached. Working pretty well for me."

- I'm like, "I am being honest with you.

Like, I don't think we should be having sex."

I don't regret anything with Shavonda. I don't.

It's just that I think things would have been easier on her

if I would have stuck to my g*ns and said, like,

"We aren't going to do anything after Fiji."

And she's like, "Well, I don't have a problem with it."

and so I need to do something. I don't know what to do.

and I don't know. It seems like kind of a front.

She said she'd never been in a hot tub before,

and so, you know, I wanted to grant her,

in the hot tub, and I don't want her there.

My mom has told my little brothers

my little brothers, like, more than anyone,

like, they are my world, and I love them so much.

- M.J.: This is, like, a deeper part

of the g*y culture and the g*y world.

I mean, this is going beyond just, you know, "Willie is g*y,"

and, you know, "Willie hangs out at g*y bars."

This is trying to be accepted by a family for being g*y.

- It's really hurtful for me because, like,

they are such a big part of my life.

It's a terrible, painful,

emotional situation to be in...

not being able to share such a large part of who you are.

I just don't want my brothers to, like, look at me

as, like, a demonic soul, you know?

And, like, that's what my mother is teaching them.

- M.J.: You know, as I'm sitting here

looking at him crying,

and, you know, a grown man, it's just kind of like, "Wow."

It's almost bigger than life to me

because this is the first time where I really feel

like somebody is truly, like, expressing their feelings,

and it's just-- it's a special moment.

I'm not used to being around that.

- And I'm somebody who's-- I'm not a part of your family,

but you've brought me into this whole world

and shown me the g*y world, and it's just who you are.

It's the person that you are.

It's not this g*y stereotype that I put onto you.

I've told from the first day just knowing you,

Like, it hit me that we're leaving,

and then I didn't want it to hit me,

so I'm just going through the motions like we're leaving,

but I don't really believe it

because I can't imagine not living this way.
